I was very surprised at how big the screens really are. A local store in my town had a "trade in" offer and after trading in my blue dsi, I was able to pick this one up for $99.00. Talk about a deal! Besides the screen size, it doesn't have any great features that sit it aside from the original DSI, but the screen size is so worth it! I am 42 years old and not getting any younger, so the screen size makes it so much easier for me to see the puzzle games that I love! My 16 year old son was surprised that it was so light. I got the burgandy and it is just beautiful. I've played several games and haven't noticed any problems with pixels or blurry words, in fact, the screen size actually makes the games easier to play because obviously it is easier to see. It breathes new life into some of the games I've had for a while, it's makes them fun to play again. I don't play only puzzle games, just mostly puzzle games, Zelda looks great on it too! It is still going to fit fine in my purse and I have been able to slip it into my front pocket with no problems, just a little more bulk than my old DSI. Love the new "pen" too, doesn't make my hand cramp up as much as holding the smaller, thinner one, but do wish it could store somewhere inside the XL. All in all, It is great for what I need it for and I'm very happy I got it.

Purchased the Nintendo for our grandson for Christmas. He just loves the DSI XL. The DSI is small and easy to carry with him so he is not too bored riding in the car on longer trips. Our grandson is seven and has been using a Nintendo DSI for a few years, this one is just fancier and better according to him.

I puchased this for my 3 1/2 year old son after having him fighting his sister for the last year for her's. Mario cart is a favorite for both and the camera function satisfies that want. Once he learns to spell he can chat with his sisters DSi through the wireless function. Its great for all ages due to I found myself playing it last night. Great buy on a portable video game.

VERY GOOD GAME. BOUGHT IT FOR MY KIDS FOR CHRISTMAS GIFT AND THEY HAVE NOT PUT IT DOWN SINCE CHRISTMAS. WITH THE WIFI THEY CAN SEE EACH OTHERS ACTIVITY. THEY LOVE TAKING PICURES WITH IT. THEY CAN ACTUALLY CREAT SOMETHING WITH PICTURES THEY TOOK.THIS IS A VERY GOOD GAME FOR KIDS 4 TO 9 YEARS OLD.

This DSI XL offers so many more things than we ever expected. My 7 year old daughter received it for Christmas and she can't stop playing with it. She loves to take pictures with it and take audio recordings. We haven't accessed the internet yet, but I'm sure that time will come soon. Best purchase we made out of all of our Christmas gifts.

My son received this item for Christmas and loves it. There is so much more to do on this handheld other than playing games. The Camera is so much fun allows you to crop and do cool add-ons. I always receive my items before they were promised. Go Amazon!

I bought this for my 9 year old for Christmas. I thought I would play with it a little before Christmas so I could help him out on Christmas morning.There was no need for it. Kids these days know more that we do. He absolutley loves his dsi. I could not have given him a better gift. I am very happy I spent a little more for the xl.

I'm a mom who games with her kids. I was a little hesitant about getting the DSi XL because I already owned the black DSI. I was concerned about the weight; size being portable enough for me to carry around, and the picture clarity.Well, getting the DSi XL was a good decision for me. The reasons are that the screen is larger, it comes pre-loaded with three games (Brain Age Express: Math, Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters and Photo Clock); Flip Note, DSi Browser, and Photo Clock are already loaded. I tried all 32 of my games in the system to see if the picture quality was affected by the size of the screens. Honestly, the picture quality is really good. The camera truly takes great pictures better than my Blackberry.My son likes the idea that he can sit with me while I play my games and actually see the screen comfortably.My only complaint with this change is the fact that you can't transfer games from the DSi to the DSi XL. I was told you couldn't because the games are tied to the serial numbers of your system. So, you have to repurchase those games. Nintendo needs to fix that issue! We are a big Nintendo family and I can't say enough good things about the DSi XL and Nintendo. This new system has made game play a lot easier and this mother happier.

I bought this for my daughter but it turns out that she has to share it with everyone because we all love it. Playing with the camera is seriously hours of fun, so much to do but so many people to have to share it with... we may end up purchasing another one.

I purchased the DSI XL for my eight year old but ended up loving it myself. Of course I set it up before giving it to him, and this is how I got hooked. I said, "lets see what this game is all about?" And it was addictive (for a non video gaming adult) so I knew he would love it, which he does.

I got a dsi xl for christmas...i love it! you can take pictures and edit them...you can record things...you can go on the internet too...the screen is bigger...and the dsi xl works better than I thought it would!

I purchased this item on Amazon. This item was not on sale anywhere but Amazon. I purchased for $139.00 which was an awesome deal. Rec'd item way before Christmas and was the perfect gift for my daughter. Now she will leave my Nintendo DS alone, even though I am jealous about hers being XL. LOL

Love the camera feature! It is very fun. Glad it plays with the DS games since I was not going to buy new ones. The smooth outside shows tons of fingerprints. The matte finish inside is much nicer but not going to stop me from enjoying my product, I just give up trying to keep it clean.

I read a review from a critic saying this system was a "step back" due to its increase in size. Smaller comes in handy, but in this case biger is better. The resolution is a little worse on the larger screen, but atleast you don't have to strain your eyes and break your neck to play games.

I got this for my six year old son for christmas. I am happy with it, the system has grat picture and sound. I like the fact that they come in a few color choices. I got the midnight blue for my son and he loves it and has not put it down since he got it for Christmas!!

The kids love the large screen, internet capability, sound and the camera. Their games play excellently and the Nintendo DSi Shop, where you can download new games at a tremendous discount, is fabulous.

I wanted a portable game for whole family along with mind stimulator games and robust system. I found Nintendo DSi XL to address all of this. It has games for all age groups, handy, good battery back up. Overall I am happy with this purchase though the pricing is high.

This card is a great buy from Amazon, 2000 point at $19.99 no tax and free super saver shipping, dollar for point value, you get exactly what you pay for. I had no problem scraping the silver area on the back of the card covering the numbers nor reading the numbers on the card.

My son has wanted this DSi XL since they came out! I like it too, but the internet part is not as it seems. They can't get videos, such as on You Tube. That was kinda disappointing.

I purchased this for my Sons birthday. The extra wide screen is great. He can see it much better than the regular size one. And I got a terrific value here at Amazon for it! Ideal for anyone!

I was debating between PSP and the DSIXl for my younger brother (6), definatly a better choice for the smaller kids, brainage and mario kart are both great games too
