Nintendo Wii points are a great gift, but can also be a great alternative to buying the Wii points for yourself directly through the Wii's shopping channel if you have a nice cashback/rewards scheme on your credit card.I've owned my Wii for a few years now and I've come to realize the games I really would rather play are the old school platformers and shooters from the NES and SNES era. And the best place to find these kinds of games are in the Wii's shopping channel. You can obviously play the actual old school games on the Virtual Console or you can check out some really interesting, clever, and stylish indie games in the Wiiware catalog (I definitely recommend Bit Trip Runner, Cave Story, and And Yet It Moves).Purchasing any of these games obviously takes Wii points and you can buy these points directly from the Wii shopping channel as you browse for games. But if you have an Amazon Visa card or some other credit card with a nice cashback/rewards program when you buy from Amazon, then you might as well do it this way and get the rewards. Of course, you'll have to wait for them to come in the mail, but just plan ahead.Gift wise, these are pretty nice too. Buying a gift card for a retail electronics store can only allow the person to buy so many physical Wii titles. But with the relatively lower priced, but smaller games on the Wii shopping channel, the person receiving the Wii Points Card can get a larger variety of games which can make for a more fun gift. And better, if this person is friends with you on your respective Wii consoles, you can buy the person a game through the Wii shopping channel and send it straight to their console.If you're in the market for Wii shopping points, whether as a gift or for yourself, and assuming you'll get free shipping with Amazon, then this is definitely the way to go.

The DSi XL is a wonderful way to upgrade your gaming. I used to have a DS Lite, but I decided to buy a DSi XL. It was the right choice in my opinion, except for one problem. On the DS Lite, you could play GBA (Game Boy Advance) games, but, sadly, the DSi Xl does not have that feature. But otherwise I absolutely love it. I can now play all the regular DS games on it, plus games made specifically for the Dsi system. Also when you play it for awhile and you look at another reguar DS or 3DS t will look really tiny:)

I've had the Original DS in Red when it first came out in a Bundle with the Mario Kart game (maybe around 2004). It still works. I love it.Never did get the DS Lite nor the DSi Lite, since never have the extra money for it, plus my original DS works great. It's so awesome for travel that I wanted another one for my son. I was lucky enough to get another Original DS in Electric Blue. My son LOVES it....I was very surprise and very excited/happy to get the DSi XL in Midnight Blue for Christmas fr. my brother. My daughter received the DS Lite in Pink and she loves it (she's only 2 1/2 years old and plays the Hello Kitty, Dora, Nintendogs games).PRO: I love how BIG the screen is. I love the extra huge stylus pen. I love how clear the pictures turn out since it's mainly used for gaming. It has a better clarity than my cell phone. I love how the POWER button is on the inside of the console as opposed to the right side like on the DS LITE. This allows for better access. I love the dual viewfinder for the camera. I can take pictures whether the DSi XL is open or close I love how the Labels are clearly marked..... I love the built in BrainAge game.CON: so far.....1 thing I noticed that the DSi XL lack is the 2nd slot for the old Nintendo GameBoy Advance's games. Not really a big deal since those games are fr. a decade or more ago. Anyone that has those games probably still have their original consoles.I have more to write as I continue to use and get used to this new AWESOME DSi XL. I haven't tried the Wi-Fi and other features on it....Overall since I've used it. I love it. I hope you do, too.I'm 27 years old and a mother of 3 and love playing my BrainAge, Clubhouse, Animal Crossing, and Brain Academy when I find time. It's a great stress reliever.

We received the Wii game as a gift and the whole family enjoys playing. It's easy to use and we also watch Net flix and Hulu tv on the system. We have never had any problems with the system.

Car trips, waiting rooms, sibling practices...the DSI XL makes the time fly by! My 7 year-old son received this as a Christmas present, and it is an outstanding gaming product! He has used the Leapster to play learning games from the age of 4, but the screen was not very clear and he was getting bored with the game options. He (and we - the parents) are so thrilled with the DSi-XL! The screen is larger than the DS, but not too large. I would say it is just right for a first-grader's hands and coordination levels. The pictures are extremely clear and colorful, and the sound is great (and adjustable, plus works great headphones!). We love the built-in games and my son really enjoys taking pictures with the built-in camera, then using the silly picture frames to personalize the shots. With the on-line capabilities, this product is really great and seems able to do just about everything! We like the portability of the games and the long battery life (recharging is simple, too!). I would recommend purchasing a nerf cover for this product to protect it from accidental drops...which seem to occur from time to time with our first-grader. Be forewarned: the DSI is addicting for parents, too!

The new Nintendo DSi XL is by far the coolest Nintendo system to date. The screen is extra large, which makes for great game detail. The system also has an excellent battery life, surviving almost the whole day for myself. Hi- this is the first 'ds' product we have purchased - it was for our 7 year old son. When he first started playing the Ninjago lego game - it looked REALLY lame. But then he switched to Pirates of the Carribean game and it was fun. What surprised me was the versatility of the thing - yes, there are two cameras (resolution is very low but ok for a kid who takes a million pictures of a cat) and you can input time/date etc but the thing can actually hear you (on brain games) and play music, and our son has spent alot of time on the flip pad creating little movies from hand drawn pictures. It is like a mini-ipad sort of. We are still trying to figure out how to connect it to the internet (my husband already has a couple hours into it) but even without that - he is able to play some games with his friends when they are on theirs. It is pretty cool and has been entertaining. It is certainly cheaper than the DS3D and has longer battery time and the games are far cheaper. If you don't require 'latest, greatest' I highly recommend it. The big screen is nicer compared to the smaller 'non xl' version.

I bought this for my daughter for her 8th birthday and she hasn't put it down yet. It works very well and was in very good cosmetic conditon, glad I made this purchase!

Bought for our granddaughter. She is 8 and has enjoyed not only the graphics,but the ease of use.The camera is an added bonus. We are all "twisted" and catorgorized as to how related we are!I think, this year, we won with the best gift!!

I quite enjoy this little hand held unit. My only real issue with it is that you have to hold it sideways like a book to read the screens. This makes it difficult to use the controls for many of the games.

My daughter loves this. It is a step up from the DS that she had and is really enjoying all the "apps" that are with this product. I only wish that I had gotten her the SD card at the same time.

Great look for a young boy. Love the size and how you can communicate between DS and DSi XL. We can still let our younger child play with the DS. Great graphics. He loves thaking pics and playing with them and video on it!

I was there on day 1 when the XL launched this year way back in March in Burgundy. I won't be getting this bundle because I already had an XL, and I had Mario Kart, so for me there is no point. However, there is a point for some, keep reading because the review starts now.Back in 2004, the DS was launched. All was good. A smaller version called the DS lite was launched, all was better. Then the DSi with its internet connectivity, all was excellent. Now we have the XL, and things are about the same.First of all, if you want a handheld game console to connect with the internet, take pictures to upload to Facebook or to have on your computer, and have access to DSiware games, then consider getting some form of the DSi. If you are content with just playing your games, stick with the original (the "phat") or the Lite.To decide between a regular DSi and an XL model can be tricky. Both of them have pictochat, dsi camera, dsi sound, dsi shop, internet, and the function to play ds games. The XL advantage is big screens, 3 pre installed titles, and in the case of this particular bundle a Mario Kart game and decals to commemorate Mario's 25th birthday. All of these reasons are enough to not only get an XL, but to get this bundle in particular.However, consider this. The XL's robust experience is fine for those of us with big hands, it is very unkind to those with small hands. It's like the Burger King commercial where it says that you need big hands to handle a Whopper, you need big hands to handle an XL.If you have got a DS lite, or no DS at all, and want to upgrade to an Xl and you still don't have Mario Kart DS, this is a bundle to get.

my little bundle of joy just loved this DSI XL. the bigger screen is soo much better, and the pen. cool. she loves the colour metallic pink. and now i can hardly get it away from her hands.

The card was not activated when purchased.After hours on the phone with Nintendo DS we are back at point 1.The card is more expensive then anywhere else and it isnt working.You do the math

The Poke'mon Black Version Bundle (and I'm sure the White Version Bundle as well) is really a steal! Whether you have never owned a DS before or are just ready to upgrade to a DSi from another version it'd be really hard to beat this price considering everything you get. I have priced new DSis at many places and they alone still run between $140-$160. With this bundle not only do you get a unique-looking new system but the newest Poke'mon game that runs about $32 - $35 by itself. The carrying case is great for not only providing some protection for your DSi but also transporting up to six games and two extra stylus so you'll never be bored! I have owned this for about a week and so far I have had no problems at all. I believe a DSi is great fun and provides wholesome entertainment even without games inserted. The Poke'mon series of games are engaging enough to keep you interested but easy enough to play that it provides entertainment for a wide range of ages. I recommend this bundle if you enjoy Poke'mon or know someone who does, and you need a DSi. I do suggest you shop around for this bundle as some sellers have had it for as low as $160 which is the steal!

I really really like the special edition DSi. The design is very cool and comes with a nice carrying case.I have been a fan of Pokemon since the original series and have played most of the games. I played through black version and it was fun, but it compares nothing to the original games.The reason I bought this was because I was going to buy Black and a DSi anyways so, why not get the special edition?Overall: The system is great, it's like any other DSi only cooler. The game however was "ok". I recommend getting Heart Gold or Soul silver too.

Added this to my wish list having seen that the price was changed to be correct at 20 dollars. Was very dissipointed to see amazon raise the price by $5 dollars after the fact for something worth 20 dollars by definition. Very sleazy

This gets you the 2,000 points of course, but is it really necessary to get the card? For some, like myself, I already have a debit card that I can use to get my points. I also have my very own wii, so if I ever wanted to give someone points as a gift I can actually do that right from my wii console as long as the person I am trying to give the points to is a wii friend (meaning you both registered each other as your friend through the wii online). The wii allows you to send either downloaded games or points to friends as a gift. With this you can write a message such as "Happy Birthday" or "Merry Christmas" or whatever it is you wish to write in the message to your friend.Also, sometimes I don't need 2,000 points. Sometimes I want only 1,000 points. Again, with my debit card I am allowed to do this. With cards, however, the lowest you are allowed to purchase is 2,000 at least in the USA that is.This is a good card if, for whatever reason, you do not have a credit card or debit card. It is also good for a gift if you don't have your own wii to gift points to friends, or you simply just want to give them a physical card. Other than that, credit cards and debit cards are better in my book.

I got this card so that I could play Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask on my wii. It's great! I don't like to have to type in all of the credit card numbers and dates and stuff on the shop without a card, so this card helped a lot. Some may complain that the card was not made of plastic, but paper. But I did not find that a problem. the only thing that was annoying was that when you are getting games, you need to make sure your wii has enough space, I would recommend getting an SD Gaming Memory Card if you have other games from the store on your wii.

In my family, Nintendo its a must have on xmas!Last xmas was Wii, now DSi XL. What can I say? The console itself is a strong piece of hardware, well designed, with an incredible battery performance. The simplicity of the controls design makes simple to use it and the operating system (very similar to wii) make children use the console without reading any of the documentation included.The games by themselves, deserve a separate mention, because the use of the screens and the support for the specific character on each title. In BEN 10, in example, the lower screen is the OMNITRIX and in the upper screen you see the action, rotating and pushing the omnitrix to allow Ben to transform. Wonderful!The included software (3) are very interesting to adults and kids and I've personally discharged the DSiXL playing them. By the way, the parental control is a very powerful tool to keep the kids away from undesirable situations (remember the Opera browser embedded).The wireless funcionality, is very useful and works very well (I've tried with a neighbour) between two DS's and over Internet.I could spent a lot of time talking about it but, believe me : it worths each buck of the money that you spend on it.My children loves (and shares) it!

I bought this for my brother's 7 year birthday since he LOVES pokemon. Amazon got it to him on time, packaged beautifully and he LOVES it. He won't stop playing this game. The etching on the Gameboy itself is great, the case is great, and of course Pokemon is a timeless game. I still remember getting my Pokemon Red Version and Gameboy Pocket for the first time, I only hope he will have the same fond memories of the game.
