I got my DSi today, the 5th of July and I had ordered it on the 29th of June. It came a day before the estimated date, which I was glad about, but I didn't like the DS itself. The DS was very dirty, which was fine with me because I cleaned it easily, but the buttons don't work. I don't know where your products come from because I didn't check but I live in the USA and it wouldn't let me pick the US as a region. Half of the screen doesn't work and the L+R buttons don't work. I looked through your reviews so I'm sure I only got a bad one that you may not have realized so I'm okay with sending it back and getting a new one. I just wanted to tell you so you knew in the future.

I am an avid gamer and video game enthusiast, and will be the first to admit when a product sucks evevpn if i did just buy it.I own a various consoles, and as portable gaming goes i own a pspgo, and now this dsi xl.In the past i once owned an original ds but it was stolen during a break in.So why get a DSI xl, being that I alrady have a pspgo... Don' t get me wrong i love my pspgo, it does alot of things and is extremely portable..however. I really ,issed palyign certain games that are only availabel on ds that i decided to cave in an make the purchase. Intially i was reluctant due to price.. But after much research and reading a over a hundred reviews I went for it. I am happy to say i am glad i did. As for portable game systems this is great. The screen size makes a huge difference, that can only be realized when playing on it hands on. The battery life is amaizng with wifi and brightness lowered i can get almost 17 hrs of straight gameplay...with wifi on I range about 13 to 14.. That out does every psp and ds that has ever existed. The built in brain age titles and pictochat and cameras are hinestly a lot of fun to play wiht and goof around wiht friends with. I love that i can send picture directly to facebook with it. It is a nice and simple feature. The addition of adding memory with sd card awesome. The speakers are amzing as well. I literally only have it set on one click on the volume meter and can hear eveything fine... Like many have said you really do not need headphones or want to use them on this dsi. Unless in public and your trying not to be rude. The new fat pen like stylus great as well, every thing i read has held true about the system.. It really feesl like a ds for adults. Its looks classy and sleek. I have the bronze version and if you are a grown man or woman this is the color choice i would recommend it looks very sleek, as i leave it sittng on my workstation and desk in my office all the time. And most people think it is a very fancy PDA. The color is like a deep coffee and the interior and side are a matte bronze that look great. I have thrown this in my suit jacket or brief case which color matches perfectly with. Now as for games go, it depends on ones taste, there ar so many, but for me it was chronotrigger and fifa that had me sold i love thes on the dsi xl. Calling plays is so much easier, and you really see so much more of the field and movement. Chronotrigger looks amazing as well, like have my original snes in my pocket... A beautiful game that show off the colors and screen so nice on the xl. As for evey curious if this is better than a psp or pspgo..they honeslty cannot be compared. They a different adn market to different users. I love my pspgo but to be honest i only play ff8 n ff9 n eye of judgement on it, other than this is is never used. As the games are not as fun on a dsi xl...sure they are as pretty on ds but they work and having fun is more important to me. Amd the longer battery life had me sold as well. So at the end of the day dsi xl wins.

My son received this as a Christmas gift a few weeks ago. Straight out of the box it was super easy for him to use and navigate, which was a big relief. He specifically wanted the midnight blue color and it is a very nice color. The screens are great, very bright and easy on the eyes. The colors are vibrant on the screens for the games. The slightly larger screens are what sold us on the XL over any of the other versions.I've tried various things on it and I enjoy it just as much as he does! The variety of games available for it are ok, but it would be nice to see more variety. As a parent, I like to see more puzzle games, educational games, etc. for them to play from time to time instead of just fun games. And there doesn't seem to be a ton of those available for younger kids.He really likes the regular pen sized stylus vs. the small one that comes attached to it. Makes everything much easier to navigate. The touch screen is great too. I usually have a hard time with touch screens but can get this one to respond easily to touch.Overall, a great product.

Gamefreak struck gold with Pokemon the moment they began developing games for it, just as Nintendo has with the games coming out only on their systems. Every new Pokemon game brings something new to the table, and Pokemon White/Black have brought a few things that have them stand out. Improved graphics, TMs are infinite, dynamic battles and many things of that nature. The battle system remains the same for the most part, aside with the addition of triple battles and rotation battles. Which weren't too great in my opinion, but they were still a new addition. Something many people might love, even. It brings a new element to battles for sure. The new Pokemon weren't too great, but they did have their nice-looking Pokemon that really stood out. Enough about the game, though, it isn't a review just for the game. The DSi that comes with the bundle is beautiful. The clean white color, the images of Zekrom and Reshiram over the front of the DSi are very nice, giving it a sense of uniqueness. The DSi itself is standard, nothing really different. Blah blah blah. Well.. that's enough of this review. I recommend either the game or the bundle, doesn't really matter. Regardless, it's a good game with 30+ hours of gaming, or the game compiled with a beautiful DSi. Your cho--.. I CANNOT BE SERIOUS. Jeez, I feel weird trying to be serious. e_e Good bundle game blah blah blah. No one really cares, just buy it or don't! 'Nuff said.

I owned a Nintendo DS-Lite for almost 2 years (a pin broke leaving it physically unusable so I suggest buying protection plans ). Being pregnant twice and on bed rest a short while both times due to medical issues and a broken toe it was a life saver. I purchased the XL after reading the reviews and I am pleased I did. I look at the old screen and don't know how I played games on that thing lol. I could of opted for the new 3ds but people who owned the XL said they regretted going back to small and some even lost money and traded back anyway. The features are wonderful, and even as an adult I play with the camera functions all the time. My kids ham it up and I snap photos. If you have 2-3 100watt bulb lamps on you'll get pretty decent pictures actually which surprised me. I do not miss having the gameboy slot for older cartridges, I only had maybe 7 reg gameboy advance games anyway. I love that it came with brainage games already loaded, I use them daily. I chose the bronze it is more mature looking, the burgundy was ok in person and the blue was overly blue ( a midnight navy blue would of been better ). I think a plain white would of been nice to offer though. I use my DS daily to unwind, play a lil Bookworm (a 1000% better on the XL btw) at night etc, and would be lost without it. I highly suggest buying it on amazon, tax alone will cost you 13$ or more plus gas to pick it up in some store. Mine arrived packaged well in bubblewrap all sparkly new in the box. I am off to bed to play some jeopardy now, hope you all enjoy your purchase too!

Length:: 2:58 MinsNintendo does it again!I am going to be honest when i say i really wanted the BURGUNDY colored DSi XL. However, when i stopped by my local Toys R Us today, there weren't any on display. I couldn't imagine myself walking around with a Pink DSi XL. I'm a guy after all! HahahaThis is an extremely well built device. One can feel the quality when the device is in your hand (Even though it says Made in China on the back). After all, this is Nintendo & they always deliver. I never upgraded to the DSi and i am so glad i held off because i didn't want to sacrifice my DS Lite and lose out on all my GB Advance games. I have been waiting for this device ever since i heard it was coming out last holiday and it's finally arrived in the US. I am beyond pleased with my upgrade. For anyone who is debating on whether they should shell out the money for the DSi XL - I would recommend that you do yourself a favor & UPGRADE! For the two huge screens alone, it's totally worth it. I still kept my DS Lite because I do enjoy the backwards capability of the GBA games. It would have been nice if the GBA slot was incorporated in the fourth-generation DS, but its not.The main attraction of the DSi XL is OBVIOUSLY the two HUGE screens. All the DS games look absolutely GORGEOUS on this thing. All the games look exactly the same as they do on the original DS except they're all enlarged to accommodate the bigger screens. Yes, the blocks/pixels (Whatever you wanna call it) do look a bit more noticeable, but then again it did as well on the original DS. You'll notice it at first, but after a few seconds of playing you'll find yourself completely immersed in your game to even notice something so minor.I have the bronze version and the only thing that is bronze is the side accent chrome and the back. The cover is a matte finish and yes, it's a finger magnet, but it has a sheik Manhattan trendy look to it (Very Fashion Forward). However, the cover and the inside look more like a charcoal grey and black more then it does brown or bronze. Even with my lamp turned on right next to the XL, it looks like black. It's still a very portable gaming device on the go. Despite what reviewers are saying, it's still a pocket friendly device and its easy to just throw in a purse, bag, or backpack on your way to work. Its exquisite use for a train ride, a plane ride, a scroll around Central Park, or when traveling abroad and you need a good diversion to keep yourself entertained.Just when everyone thought thin was in for technology, Nintendo does a complete u-turn and marches to the beat of their own drum.Pros:Good quality sturdy buildInternet BrowserNinety-Three Percent Larger Screens (Absolutely gorgeous)New Interface (Not for DSi users though)Music Player (I wish it had a video player)Three Built in Games (Brain Age Math, Brian Age Arts, & some photo thingy)DSi Shop (This is probably the future of gaming where everything is digital downloads)Cons:No video playerMicro card (I'd prefer Micro SD)No Dictionary (I think the Japanese & UK versions had a built in dictionary)

I have had a nintendo ds lite for several years. Recently I saw the reviews on line for the Nintendo XL, and really thought about it. I play my Nintendo regularly, and enjoy puzzle games, which can be a bit tiny to see on the Lite. A few weeks back, I went ahead and purchased the XL. I LOVE IT! I can see all the detail in every game I have, and am even playing selections on some of my games that I just could not see the details well enough to play before (Mah Jong). I am extremely happy with my purchase, and the overall quality of the Nintendo systems has always impressed me. I am playing my puzzles even more than ever now, and am very happy I tried the XL. I highly recommend....if you even think every once and awhile, "wow, this ds lite screen is small for this", the XL is for you! You will not be sorry....I know I am very pleased with my purchase!One of the reviews had mentioned the size of the XL is much larger, and as a result much heavier to hold while playing it. I do agree that the XL wieght difference was noticible at first, but after a few days with it, I do not notice it as any heavier or bulkier to play than the Lite. I think it just took a little adjustment.

After waiting for a LOOOOONG time for a pink version of the XL to come out, i've finally switched over from a DS Lite.. but.. I'm a little disappointed.First of all, the color shown in pictures is deceiving, the product is more of a copper-ish pink then a "rose" color. The picture makes the color seem a lot more lighter and pinker than the actual product. Besides that, the product is working well.I've upgraded from a DS lite to this DSi XL, I was worried about how the larger screen would stretch out the pixels but after playing awhile, you barely notice the difference. The size also fits comfortably in my hands, they feel less cramped now which is great because I can play longer. I notice that the speakers in the DSi XL sounds a lot better, more crisp than the DS lite.So far, I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend anyone with a DS lite to switch on over to the DSi XL. If the reason you don't want to upgrade to the DSi XL is because you want the GBA port, then i'm here to tell you that there are definitely ways to play GBA games on the DSi XL using a flash kart.

Whatever happened to 2000 for $20? Isn't that still the price if you use a credit card rather than these points cards? So instead of paying $5 for a game that costs 500 points, you'll be paying $6.25? Sounds like a bit of a rip off. I will just use a credit card instead.

My husband & I use wii points to get classic, Nintendo & super Nintendo games on our Wii. It makes for a great family night && those old games are awesome :)

Ah, yes....the Wii Shop Channel. It is full of great titles that can satisfy me, and they cost less than the average full-priced Wii game. Games I recommend buying include Mega Man 10, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, and Thruspace.There are also lots of Virtual Console games. These games are from all of the old video game consoles from the Commodore 64 to the Nintendo 64 (I wish Atari 2600 games were on here, though..). The NES, Commodore, and Sega Master System games are mostly 500 Wii Points (or $5 dollars) each. Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and TurboGrafx16 games are 800 ($8 bucks), the NeoGeo games are 900 ($9), and the Nintendo 64 games are 1000 (only $10 bucks!) each. Games I recommend here include the Mario games, the MegaMan games, and the Sonic games.Now let's take a look at the DSi's Shop Channel. The DSiWare library is a totally different one compared to the WiiWare and Virtual Console libraries. You don't get to play classic games, but you can buy games that go from only $2 to $15. And note: WiiWare games don't reach down to $2 bucks. Games I recommend here include Rock 'n Roll Domo, Pro Putt Domo, Dark Void Zero, Minis March Again, and Wario Ware Snapped. My only complaint is that there aren't a lot of meaty games here. Only veteran game developers seem to make DSi games that are good enough.There is a HUGE variety of games you can possibly purchase with this card. Whether you want to play the classic games from the days that went by, or the newer games that hold a great amount of appeal, this 2000 Points Card is here for you.

EDIT: This card will NOT work on the 3DS. Nintendo made an announcement that 3DS cards will go on sale at a later date.I'm writing this review for two reasons.1. To balance out all of the negative reviews because of the price. Amazon has finally priced this at the $20 it should be, so there's no need for those negative reviews anymore.2. Because of all the great games for WiiWare and the Virtual Console (currently, there isn't much to buy on the DSI. Edit: This has definitely changed since this was initially written). We all know about the scores of excellent classic games for all of the old systems on the Virtual Console. But WiiWare is proving to be truly impressive. Its home to extremely fun and innovative games that couldn't have existed without digital downloads. Among the greats are World of Goo, Swords and Soldiers, Mega Man 9, Toki Tori, and Bit.Trip:Beat. And many more promising games are on their way such as Icarian:Kindred Spirits and Cave Story. Also, now that they've added easy access to games stored on the SD card, you shouldn't need to worry about space constraints.Oh, and a side note to Amazon.com: Please make download codes for more WiiWare games like you did for World of Goo. Its very convenient.Edit: The price fluctuates a lot more than it should. I've contacted Amazon.com about this problem. I've seen it anywhere from $19.49-$25.00. Buy when its low if you can wait.Edit - Winter 2009: Icarian:Kindred Spirits was worth looking forward to, but apparently Cave Story is still on the way. Two more Bit.Trip games, Core and Void, have been released, and they are totally different, yet just as great as the first. Rubik's Puzzle Galaxy: RUSH (by the makers of Toki Tori), Contra ReBirth, and LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias are a few more to add to the list of great games. Hopefully its more than just a rumor, but it looks like Konami's next remake may be Jackal - a potentially promising co-op.Edit - Spring 2010: Mega Man 10 and Cave Story have been released. Mega Man 10 is, as expected, another excellent sequel. Cave Story was worth the very long wait. Its an extremely good platformer/action/adventure game along the lines of Castlevania and Metroid. The story is excellent, and the combat is just as good. There are multiple endings and other game modes to give it a high replay value. Its been a free game on the internet for years, but they remade all of the graphics and sound for this version. This is the kind of game to spend those Nintendo points on.Edit - Spring 2011: Many more notable Virtual Console, WiiWare, and DSIWare games have been released (several Bit.Trip games, Bejeweled 2, And Yet It Moves, Airport Mania, and others come to mind), but recently, I've been hesitant to purchase them. There have been rumors of a new Nintendo console. This is exciting news, but it leaves me wondering what will happen to all of my purchased content on the Wii? If the DSI to 3DS transition is any indication, it will probably be okay but not perfect. In the next month or so, you'll be able to transfer your DSIWare games to your 3DS. I'm guessing "transfer" means that you won't be able to play them on the DSI anymore. Also, any leftover points you have on the DSI will NOT be transferred to the 3DS (because the 3DS uses real currency rather than points), and some games may not transfer at all. This solution sounds far from ideal.Nintendo really needs to implement an account system where your games are tied to an account rather than a console. It really boils down to this: When the Wii 2 (or whatever they're going to call it) is released, I'd like to be able to log in to it with my Nintendo account, and download all of the games I purchased for the Wii. If I knew that all of the games I've purchased on the Wii would work with the Wii 2, I'd be buying a lot more of them.

This is a metallic color that I agree with the other reviewer, while it's pink, does have tones of copper in the color. I purchased mine to play a few games that I wanted to play. This works perfectly. It has done exactly what I need it to every time. While the screen could be bigger for older eyes like mine; I recognize that most people who play these are younger and have younger eyes. The buttons are placed in such a way that they are very easy to access but are out of the way when you are playing a game that don't use buttons. The speakers are loud enough for me and the volume is easy to access and slide up and down and adjust with very little effort.I know there is a newer version out there (DSi 3D) but this one does everything I would want it to do.Enjoy.
