The device is not compatible with windows 7. The box says it is, but I tried. Believe me, it's not. As for the 24/7 technical support, don't even bother. Take a pass on this one; you'll only get frustrated.

I bought this so I could connect to the internet on my Blu-Ray player, and it doesn't work, and it doesn't work good on my laptop either.

I had to replace my outdated adapter and chose this model. When it arrived, I installed it in just a few minutes without any issues. It performs well and I have no compatibility issues with my Cisco router. Good buy.

This is a great product has tremendous flawless operation. I had no problem installing the program and it connected to the Netgear N300 Router with ease. I used this product to connect my daughters PC to the Router which the Router is more than twenty feet away and still no lag times. All the webpages launch quickly. I recommend this product if you are trying to add a computer to your network that doesn't have a wireless internet card, you will not be disappointed.

Got this adapter because I went to Verizon MIFI 4G for my internet connection and needed to use it w/ my desktop. Verizon's MIFI works GREAT w/ my laptop (where I don't need an adapter.)But, on my desktop PC, this horrid little adapter throttles down my kbps rate. It also chokes my bandwidth so much that it freezes my computer if I have a couple of browser windows open, as I usually do.I've wasted money here, but will be getting something different as soon as possible. My frustration level is off the scale.

The biggest hardware compatibility problems in Ubuntu seem to be wireless network adapters. This one seems to work well. Kernels older than 2.6.38 may require a utility found on sourceforge for easy installation. The Utility is Ath9K_htc, a search should turn it up. Read the readme file, its use is different than most .deb packages. Kernels > 2.6.38 recognize this adapter out of the box. Speed seems good, no disconnects it seems to work well. Speed is limited to 150 Mb./sec but so is the rest of my network so that's not problem for me but something to be aware of.

This item installed and works well except I'm getting a bit more exercise than I expected. The easiest way to install this item, at least for me, was to use the "push button" authentication however, I then have to run up the stairs and push the button on my router to make the connection. A small price to pay, I suppose, and it does give you two minutes to accomplish the task but it has fallen off the grid a couple of times and I feel a bit silly as I run past my dog to hit the button and then run downstairs again to get back to work.

Doesn't even deserve one star, but I need to set something. On two different computers, one with Windows XP and and the other with Windows 7, the device would only work when the software was first installed, before the system was rebooted. After reboot, the device would NOT reconnect. Downloading the latest software didn't fix the problem, it only changed the failure. On Windows 7, the device would eventually reconnect if I disabled and re-enabled the device and otherwise fiddled with the networking stack in some indeterminate way. On XP, the device would reconnect, BUT, the system was unusable. A service named "WifiSvc.exe" would fail with a dialog reporting the failure. After closing the dialog, the service would be restarted and would fail again in one or two minutes, resulting in the dialog reappearing. This constantly reappearing failure dialog and intermittent network service rendered the system unusable.

I lost $30.00! It does not work with Windows 7, I call Windows and they said that they "might help me" , but I had to first pay $80.00 up front for technical support!? WTF!Don't buy this product waste of money and time!

I didn't have a MyFi compatable computer, of course I had just ordered it and forgot to click the button. I had been using my MyFi thingie attached to my computer, via USB port, but it wouldn't work with the other computers in the house while plugged into my computer, thus the need of an adapter! It works good, only thing it has a few snags when I try to use it on the computer "it" is attached to, takes longer to get online via that computer. On the laptop in the den, it automaticly connects when I go on that computer, no problems.When you are installing it, don't give up. Take the time it takes to install to relax. Do not give up if you don't connect right away. Sometimes you have to remove the adapter from the holder and let it reconnect again.All in all it has helped me connect all my computers to the Verizon MyFi thingie, and that is a PLUS!

I recently bought at new Dell desk side with Windows 7 64bit. I had a lot of trouble with an older Netgear PCI card working with Windows 7, and had to give up. I bought the WNA1100/ 150 USB and first downloaded the latest drivers located at [...] followed the installation instructions and everything worked the first try.The unit is very small and the signal strength was good enough that I just left the card plugged into the back of the computer.For this price this is hard to beat if your Access Point is only G (or less).

Could not get this piece of junk to work on three separate systems, two running WinXP and one running Win0.7 Wasted the better part of a day on this (i'm too proud to give up i suppose). Have been using computers for 27 years, and i have never struggled this hard for something that should be so easy. Only thing I can compare this to is IBM's OS/2.

I needed a wireless usb n/w adapter to get rid of the long ethernet cable I used to pull from my router in the living room to my desktop in my family room. I have Netgear G router so thought of getting a netgear wireless adapter and just like the router this one just worked awesome right out of the box. No issues at all in terms of connection. I do put my desktop in sleep mode and when I wake it up wireless connection is immediately up.I surely recommend this product!!!!

Good value for its price and performance. Very easy to set up and works perfectly fine for my computer, no matter how old your desktop is.Not a lot of wires so it doesn't get messy either.

I have windows 7, 32 bit, AMD processor. It does not work, and after 1 hour on the phone with tech support they could not get it to function either. I have be using desk tops since 1985 and know my way around a pc. Netgear consistently has terrible software and frankly why bother.

I've had a D Link thats been a pain for over a year. Use a Netgear router and its been great so I ordered this on a whim. What an improvement no driver problems and it stays connected all the time, what a pleasent suprise,

Really great wireless network adapter. Truly a simple item to install. Pop in the CD run the install wizard then insert the adapter in the USB port then connect to your network. I was kinda of iffy about going wireless on a desktop glad I made the right choice.

I must agree with the positive review above given for this item. I had just purchased the adapter today seeking for a reliability. I had problems with related items in the past. This grabs hold of nearby signals quite well.

I bought two of these USB wireless cards to complete my wireless LAN. They work flawlessly and the throughput is good even though it is limited to 150 mbps. I would not hesitate buying these again. Installation was simple and intuitive.The fact that they are made with a long cable allows me to reposition them if needed to get the best signal strength.
