It would not establish IP address. Spent hours researching forums for people with similar issues. Called customer service number for help and they charge $60. Stay away from this god-awful hunk of garbage.I have an expectation this should should have plugged and played with little problem. It did not.

I needed a wireless adapter in a hurry because I was moving the location of my router away from my PC due to a bad cable jack. This was one of the few options at Best Buy. It always seemed slow. I was having bad experience playing some MMOs also. I was getting 2/3 bars of signal. I ran speedtest, and it was about 3 mbps. I decided to try the cradle before giving up on it. 3/4 bars of signal. 18 mbps on speedtest.net. The adapter should work on its own, but I guess I am happy now that I figured out that I get MUCH better speed.

I hesitated to order this because of the number of critical reviews, but I finally made the purchase because Netgear recommended this adapter as compatible with the Netgear router in use where I was setting up my PC. Installation, using the Resource CD provided, was a breeze. I was up and connected in less than 5 minutes and have had no problems since then. My only glitch was that I connected to the incorrect wireless network (my fault), but that was easily corrected. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great adapter. Easy to install works great!I have AT&T internet service. The Netgear adapter connects me in seconds and I'm good to go. No problems at all.

I purchased this for an older pc that did not have a wireless card. This is a good option if you need to make something into a wireless device. This item performs good and does everything that is supposed to do with no issues. I haven't ever had one problem out of this wi-fi adapter.

I installed the WNA100 and discovered that if the computer went into sleep mode the Netgear adapter would be disabled. When the computer was awoken you either had to restart the computer or unplug and replug the adapter to re-enable wireless. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest drivers/software to no avail. To fix the problem you need to right click on "Computer" and select Properties. Select Device Manager and then the Netgear N150 under network adapters. Select the power management tab and deselect the line that says "allow the computer to turn off the device to save power." This was a real annoyance that the setup software, if designed correctly, should have taken care of, and based on my search for a solution it appears to be a widespread and longstanding issue. My setup was WIN7 64 bit with i7 processor. Another annoyance is that the Netgear icons on the desktop and in the Netgear Start directory do not appear to work. The one in the taskbar does however. Other than that, the device appears to work acceptably in my U-verse network.

This usb wifi adapter was a great price. It also came with a usb docking station. It works with my windows 7 and ubuntu linux.

It took a month to receive this product.Then... it didn't even work for my WD Live hub that has new version of firmware... even though this model is recommended from WD.

I've been using the Netgear N150 Wireless Adatper day after day, and it's just like having an ethernet connection, it's that fast and stable. I can connect to the internet nearly the second my computer boots up, I don't have to worry about it trying to connect to my wireless network, it just works.I'm using Windows 7 Professional x64 with Service Pack 1. The one concern of mine was finding a wireless adapter that works with a 64 bit operating system; the package says it does, but I was worried anyway. Luckily for me, it worked perfectly fine! Anyway, so outside of installing the driver, I opted to let Windows 7 manage the device, instead of letting the Netgear software do it for me.I bought the device from Staples. Mine did come with the stand, which I'm not sure what it's for, but it looks nice anyway. ;p[Update:]I have now owned this wireless adapter for a month, and would like to say I still have no problems with it. I get incredible download speeds like I usually do, and it's never failed. As to people's gripes, just install the driver, and let Windows handle it; I have no idea how Netgear's included software works, but as I had no need to, the product works perfectly fine without it. I'd also like to note: I'm on a different floor from the main router, so I'm pretty psyched at how well this thing works.

This wireless Adapter works very well and I like the docking port that it comes with. I ran the installation software on a very old Dell laptop and a newer HP desktop that are both running XP. The software installed on both without any trouble and the adapter found my wireless router quickly. It couldn't have been much simpler.On the old laptop however, during installation the software did say it had trouble detecting the router, but as soon as I clicked on the wireless icon in the system tray it brought up the Netgear connection screen and the router was indeed located. The data speed seems to be pretty fast. I have a new Acer laptop with internal wireless running Windows 7 and the Netgear adapter connects the older computers just as well as the Acer, which has very good connection capability. I'm so pleased with it that I may order a second one so that I don't have to swap it between the desktop and old laptop. Nice product. Would recommend it to friends.Update: 7 months later and the adapter is still working perfectly with enough speed to stream HD videos. Very pleased. I purchased a second one for another desktop and it's working perfectly too.

I have used computers since 1986, I even have a degree in computer science and after hours of trying this piece of junk I've finally given up. I got duped. Out of the box, on a Windows 7 system it worked fine. That lasted 2 days. Then it deleted the profile of my wifi network, renamed "local connection 7" and constantly failed to acquire, while running into errors with Window's own software. Tried reinstalling, tried a lot of things, simply would not allow me to erase the profile it created, even after I deleted and wiped all traces of the program off the system (went to back to an earlier system image) reinstalled and still it had this magic profile. The netgear program shows its connected and running at 78% of the router's top speed, however Windows can't acquire the address and there is no real connection. No packets are coming back.Junk. Don't bother with it...though the cable and plug in did come in handy for my old usb adaptor.

Ihave a netgear wireless router and a Toshiba blu-ray player. The router is upstairs and the blue-ray player is in the basement.With thenetgear WNA1100 I have solved the problem of dropped connections which allows me to stream movies without problems.

I received this adapter, Netgear wireless N-150 on time. It was easy to set up on my desktop e-machine with windows 7. Just plugged it in and in a few seconds the computer found the driver and wireless signal and away we went. The router is in an upstairs back bedroom and the computer is downstairs in the opposite corner. We get all bars for signal strength. The price was good, the product was good, and Amason did what they said they would do.

This was really easy to set up and it connects right away. Transfer speeds between my two computers seems faster than with my old wireless G card it replaced. But I am a bit disappointed that it will only connect at 72Mbps, despite a 100% signal strength. My desktop PC this is on is literally 12 feet from my AP through only sheetrock. My laptop's internal wireless N card gets 130Mbps from the same exact position.Overall I am happy enough to keep it as it did speed up my network over 802.11g, but I was hoping for a little bit more.

So far I do not have any problems with this adapter. It connects to my wireless router just fine, and I have a full 5 bars with it. Maybe it is because my router is right next to my desktop but who knows. The product is so far so good.

I have a two story home, and this picked up the wireless connection without any problems. I found it easier to go through the manual set up instead of pressing the button to try to receive it. I just popped in the password and it was set to go. Been running over two weeks without a hitch.

I decided not to spend a lot of money on finding a wireless adapter in my temporary home. I will not be able to download heavy things or play online games at a speed I like, but for the price, this adapter is good. I recommend it.

The item worked amazingly when I first bought it, but now it is completely dead. Best part is the return policy on it expired a month ago so now Im stuck with having to shell out the money to purchase a new one.

The dude at Best Buy told me that the N150 or any other brand of 300 or less was basically the cheapest and worst decision of all the wireless cards, especially due to the fact that my router is in the garage about a solid fifty feet away AND downstairs. Even the manual for it says to ensure that the product is placed at most four feet away from the actual router. I bought it simply for comparison to the N300 or N600... My internet runs just as it did when I had the Ethernet cable running directly to the CPU! Basic web pages, home banking, videos, everything runs just as quick and smooth as you'll ever need them to run. I might end up purchasing a N600 anyway just to compare, but my money says that the difference is milliseconds. Don't be scared of what reviews say...FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF AND RETURN THE DAMN THING IF YOU CANT WAIT ONE MORE EIGHTH OF A SECOND FOR A PAGE TO LOAD!!!

This saved my work! My connection would constantly be interrupted being that the best spot is on my patio! This allowed me to be able to put it outside and now it's on!!
