This is a product that I would have never expected with a Netgear tag on it. The plastic casing holding the device is very flimsy and can break with over 100 insertions and removals from the USB port. At times the hardware fails to catch the wi-fi signal and disconnections are frequent.

It didn't come with a disc so I was worried I wasn't going to be able to install it but when I connected it to my pc, it showed that I had a new device that needed to be installed. I clicked on it once and it installed everything for me. It was so easy and took less than 2 minutes.

This works pretty good. The download speeds are nothing special but it gets the job done so I can't really complain.

This is a very fast adapter. Got it to use on DH new computer which is also very fast. Going on the internet with this adapter is actually faster than on my computer which is primarily for web surfing. DH likes it. Great value for it's price as well. Would recommend to anyone who needs net access on PC.

Picked this up to connect my old desktop to the Wifi in the house since the modem was no longer able to be located next to the computer. Works great and easy to install and use.

works well , had some trouble at first, operator error but I got thru it. works fine thee ability to have the cable allows you to move up higher, so thats even better.

I bought in BestBuy with 44$!!!!! and it is only 16$ on amazon.........this is a wifi card not only work on windows, also works on Linux too, I like it, it helps me alot....

I purchased this network adapter specifically for its claimed ability to work natively with Linux (Ubuntu 12.0.4 LTS). After installing in a Windows 7 environment (on a dual-boot machine), I left it installed, and booted into Ubuntu.The wireless connectivity was immediately visible in the Ubuntu task bar, and I began moving from Ubuntu experimenter to being able to work online in two operating systems.It also worked well in the Windows 7 environment.This adapter includes a thoughtful extra: an extension cable and stand-up cradle; if your CPU is in cramped quarters, this extra inch of clearance will be welcome!).Easy install under two operating systems and reasonably priced. Very nice....

Adequate range and easy setup are its strong features. For the price you can't beat it. For a one story home with a router located in the middle of the house it works great. If you have long runs and lots of walls/floors to go through, you might want to move up the product line. We bounce DVD signals all around the house without any problems.

It's great for email checking and moderate internet browsing but not for video streaming! I will use this as a spare but plan to get a stronger one! NETGEAR has very helpful technical support!

Given what this thing is selling for I definitely got more than I expected. Easy to install, works exactly as expected. Connection speeds max out my G network, although I haven't tried it on anything faster. I wasn't expecting it, but the adapter also came with a USB extension cable and a little stand to plug it into, and it definitely makes a difference as far as reception goes. Great added bonus.Highly recommended!

I purchased this receiver at Best Buy for a brand-spanking new desktop with no wireless built in. Well, for the first three months, all was well. Then the internet signal started dying every few hours. At first, I thought that the issue was my router. I unplugged, replugged, reset, etc. like crazy. Then, on a whim, I pulled the receiver out and reinserted it into the USB port. Voila! Problem solved. Unfortunately, this continues to be an issue. I usually have to inplug/reinsert the receiver at least once a day, then tell it to reconnect to my router because it keeps trying to connect to other networks. In short, the device doesn't deliver, and I recommend looking elsewhere if you haven't already been suckered in. As it is, I'm rooting through Amazon for alternate options.

I was originally looking the Onkyo UWF-1 USB Wi-Fi adapter so I can stream web music, Pandora, etc on my Onkyo HT-RC360 (same as TX-NR609) network receiver. I saw some review comments that mentioned this Netgear unit uses the same chipset as the Onkyo UWF-1 and therefore would be recognized by the receiver. They were right! It works perfectly and I saved $5. No, it's not as compact as the Onkyo version but I don't mind that.Note: What I received looks different from one of the Amazon photos. It doesn't have a cap on the end. It also has a different-looking casing with a gray tip.

Bought at walmart. I hate this device so much! netgear needs to update the drivers or something. not reliable whatsoever. barley even worth the 20 characters required to filled out this review to warn others.

Bought this for $5 as a refurbished product and it's been working great ever since. Zero problems. I highly recommend. It's plugged into the back of my computer and I don't even know it's there.

I use this adaptor for my PC in the basement to connect to my wireless router placed in the living room. It connects well and provide the maximum speed by my internet provider. No issues at all. Highly recommended.

I have used two of these and both have died within a year. The first one just stopped altogether, and Device Manager gave a code 10 (device could not start). The second one will still turn on and connect to a network, but won't give internet access. But at this price, it's not a big deal. Another important thing is that the drivers don't just not work on Windows 8, they actually blue-screen the thing. If you do get one, make sure to buy two so if one dies you'll have a replacement.

It worked better then I was hoping it would. Could definitely do more then it advertises it can. Great for what I need it for and reasonable price
