This is the second hdd that I bought bc the first one wasn't an official microsoft drive. This one is thankfully! All I had to do was plug it in and it worked. Excellent!

I am new to console gaming, I have played on a PC for years. But after crashing my PC for the fifth time I decided to look at a console. The pick seemed easy after reading about both consoles that the X-box 360 was the one. The set up was very easy, but getting started on X-box live was a chore. After down loading Halo:Reach, it took about ha;f the game to get good at the controls. Going from mouse and keys to thumb control is not easy. Once I got it the game and console were very enjoyable.

I purchased this Xbox for the fella for Christmas, thinking that he'd use it for games and Netflix. He was irritated with almost everything about it. The set up on the controller was fairly annoying---anyway---if you decide to get Netflix, you also have to get the Xbox Gold membership for another $60.00.He let the free membership expire and to pay the extra $59 on top of it, he'll have to re-set everything on the xbox apparently. So that's annoying too. It would have been nice if it had saved the settings.If none of that bothers you, the feed for Netflix on the Xbox is really great. Now I'll likely be putting this very expensive present on Craigslist for someone else to deal with.

Its functional, so I can have more fun. The first 3 days of having this and it seems to be working well. System picked it up and it's doing its job.

I just got this a couple weeks ago after wanting one for a long time. I had a PS3 for a few months before I got this and I'm enjoying the 360 much more so far. The Metro interface is a lot more appealing than the blah PS3 interface. While it's true that you have to pay to play online with the 360, I feel like it's more reliable coming from someone like Microsoft as opposed to Sony. The controller also feels more comfortable than the PS3. The PS3 controller always felt like it was a little too short and skinny for your hands. I now have a Wii, PS3 and 360 but so far the 360 has impressed me the most. I don't have the Kinect yet so I can't really compare that to the others. But otherwise hooray for Microsoft! (I never thought I'd say that)

If you are a first time 360, or kinect buyer, this is the bundle to get! I love it, it works absolutely smashingly, but it you have an HD TV, you might want to order the HDMI cable when you order the system, since it only comes with a standard cable :( None the less, I am very pleased!

First time buyer of XBOX. Purchased it with intent to connect to Win7 PC and leverage Windows Media Center. Just installed Win7 on PC and very disappointed with XBOX. If I had done within 30-day period, I would return this item. Why ? Because you have to pay for XBOX Gold to be able to see Netflix movies that you already pay for with Netflix subscription. And you can't do anything on the internet with the XBOX, even when connected to Win7 PC with WMC, unless you pay Microsoft for XBOX Gold subscription. Very disappointed, especially since Win7 PC with WMC can view Netflix and (obviously) use the internet. Win7 on PC is actually pretty nice (from a heavy XP user perspective). Not an XBOX gamer, we use Wii for games. This was purchased primarily for Windows Media Extender functionality, and it falls short of that expectation, though it is nice for media content (music, videos) that resides on Win7 PC. If you are interested in a Windows Media Extender for online viewing experience (Netflix, internet, etc), I would not purchase XBOX until (and if) Microsoft makes it so WMC with Win7 PC can at least view Netflix without subscription to XBOX Gold. Many complaints on internet about Microsoft's policy here. Also looking at DVR functionality of Win7 PC with TV tuner and then viewing this content on XBOX (I think that will work fine, but have not done this yet). Bottom line, I went ahead and purchased XBOX Gold 12-mo card on Amazon for around $45... because what else am I to do with this Microsoft Revenue Generating Machine ? Bottom line pun intended (for Microsoft). Quite disappointed. XBOX gamer might feel otherwise, which is understandable.

Aunque la resoluci?n de los juegos de un Xbox 360 es algo inferior a las del PlayStation 3, la tecnolog?a del Kinect lo supera por mucho y gusta mucho a los ni?os. Me parece una consola excelente y 100% recomendable para los peque?os de la casa.

This product is really excellent, very funny,. I recommend. The only thing that should improve Microsoft is that this should bring the two xbox games cd, because cd is one and the other is in my area code and will not let me download it, but the product is other than expected

There have been many debates about buying hard drives from OEM and non OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products. Believe it or not there IS a difference which may or may not effect you as a buyer. As for me, it makes a huge difference and could for children or adults who play the original xbox games. The problem with knock off hard drives is that you may find that they are NOT backwards compatible with your original xbox games. For me, a game like Fable: The Lost Chapters, is something I really like to play still. By buying a non OEM product, I would inhibit my ability to play it. The reason this is, is because manufacturers will put bigger laptop hard drives into xbox 360 cases. It doesnt mean that it hinders the functionality of your hard drive because it does expand your memory, it just doesnt contain the key files for backwards compatibility that official xbox hard drives have. So yes, official xbox hard drives are double the price and I dont like it as much as you do, but I know plenty of parents out there whose kids still play the original xbox games. The question is whether you care about the backwards compatibility or not. If your answer is yes, then buy an official xbox hard drive. If your answer is no, then Id definitely stick with the cheaper end hard drives as they do expand your memory.

To start, I'm more of a old school PC gamer when it comes to first person and adventure games. I also think the graphics can't be beat on the PC, but you are spending way more money. I also own a PS3 and my wife has the wii, so I thought I would never own the Xbox 360 until she saw those dancing games using the Kinect. I'll have to say, the graphics are not bad on some of the games and they play rather well. I did have the system crash twice on me within 2 months and I thought... it's Microsoft... what can ya do.. Owning the PS3 for about 4 years, I can't remember if it ever crashed on me. Anyway, overall it's not a bad console for the price, but I think it's starting to get dated and now I see a Xbox 720 in the works. Maybe I should have waited for that.

As advertised. I have a 4gb Slim Black Xbox360. I obviously ran out of room fast. This was a good buy and easy to install.Note: Only downside is that my Xbox used to be extremely quite, not the fan rattles and the Xbox makes a lot of noise. The fan has to stay on for about 2 minutes after you turn it off because it is harder to cool down. Still an excellent buy.

This item is absolutely essential if you use your xbox 360 for any significant amount of gaming. Here's some numbers to think about:Xbox 360 Game on Demand ~ 2-4 GBXbox Original Game on Demand ~ .7-1 GBXbox Arcade Game ~ .2-1.5 GBDownloadable content ~ .5-2 GBDownloading Xbox 360 Game to Hard Drive > 2.5 GBSave Files < .02GBWhile these numbers are largely based on my experience, I think that all of these are fair ballpark numbers. So basically, if you want to be doing anything off of your xbox's hard drive other than just storing save files, you're probably going to need a bigger hard drive.While you could probably get by with one about 50 gigs or so (save files, about 2 downloaded discs, about 5 downloaded on demand games, about a dozen arcade games, and enough space for some dowloadable content, saves, etc.), if you have a new "slim" xbox (like this oneXbox 360 4GB Console), you'll have to get this hard drive as your expansion.So, you're going to have to spend more money that you'd like, both because you have to buy more storage than you need and because microsoft just marks these up pretty intensely, but, in my opinion, it's definitely worth it.

The kinect games are different than Wii and full body play is good, but the motion detection is frustratingly sluggish. Voice command is also sluggish and not always effective. Setup was very frustrating as it would not accept my aol email address and ended up having to use a work email address until I can get another setup and change it. Security questions also ridiculous as they require six word answers and many of my answers to these questions were only four letters. Plus the menus have to many layers and are difficult to navigate. I already had Netflix through the Wii and had to cancel due to them jumping the price so high so that feature is void on the Xbox. The biggest disappointment is the ESPN3 service. The Live Gold cards show the ESPN3 logo and I suppose some people can actually get it. However, apparently not all broadband services support this option and mine happens to be one that doesn't. After having setup problems, I found this stated in the fine print. I called the 888 service for help and held for 20 minutes and never could speak to anyone about it. I am not impressed with this system and have wasted my money buying it. Major Dissapointment. Major Mistake.

PRO: Better selection of family (Disneyland Adventures) and educational games than Sony PS3. Although the XBOX 360 uses the faster 802.11N, the picture blinks and jerks and pauses; in contrast, the Sony PS3 was smooth even though it was using the slower 802.11G so I guess Sony's network card or video decoder is better at rendering animation.I DON'T recommend these games:Game Party: In MotionDeca Sports Freedom

I bought this because I received the xbox 360 4gb with the kinect for Christmas. I LOVE my xbox & I figured that since i'm not a hardcore gamer 4gb would be enough for me...boy was I wrong! I found myself needed to erase things for more space and most of the good Demos on xbox live are about 2gb in themselves. I ordered this hard drive and I love it. You insert it into the xbox where the ridges are on the side & that's it!! You don't have to transfer anything because the 4gb with the xbox is internal memory so all of your other games will still be saved to your xbox.

This is a great hard drive increased my xbox memory 10 fold. The only disadvantage I had with this product was that I could not longer play regular XBox games on the 360 when I had this harddrive installed.

I don't believe I need to write the merits of XBox 360, or even XBox 360 vs PS3, those are adequately covered all over the place.However, one thing which seriously differentiates the XBox from the PS3 (or Wii) is Kinect. It brings a new dimension to gaming. If you're in the market for a bundle with Kinect in it, your choices are either the 4Gb or the 250Gb bundle. At a price difference of about $50 for all that additional storage to save games, and much more. That's about 17% difference in price for more than 60x the disk space.Enough said.

WOW - The word I use to express the Xbox experience. Kinect is out of this world. It simply puts you "in the game" - This is one thing you have got to experience yourself.As for the HDD, believe me, you will end up utilizing all of your 250 GB HDD.

I highly recommend this bundle. The 2 games are good and comes with an incredible price. You may think getting the 4GB xbox is a good idea but its not. It seems like a steal because it comes with a free game but still; unless you want to have multiple flash drives storing your game saves and certain game modes and other features disabled, get the 250GB. This is plenty enough even for serious games with a ton of games saved (this also goes for music and such). I found that you don't really need the Kinect also. Unless you have young kids who want to play Kinectimals or Disneyland Adventures, (both are odd games.....) don't bother.

I just found out that the Xbox system requires a $60 a year fee to watch Netflix. This is in addition to my normal Netflix subscription.So much for a new game system for my 8 year old. It goes back to the store tomorrow. I will use my savings to buy a few Wii games. At least Wii does not charge for viewing Netflix.MS will now lose a customer for life and the revenue generated for future purchaes. I guess MS does not think an 8 year old boy would play many games or request games and accessories as gifts until he's old enough to drive.Thanks for saving me hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

Bought this product over a year ago and I am still using it today. It worked out waaayyy better than when i intended to mod an old xbox harddrive. but it holds memory like its supposed to and was in new quality.
