Just got done playing with my new toy I have to say WOW you really get a darn good work out using this love that free raft game thats included with kinect I'm glad I bought it my son will be bored no more.

This package is worth every dime. If you are just starting or just getting a new xbox i would so recommend getting this. Not even Gamestop is selling this any more plus you getting 2 games for almost nothing, fable 3 is alright but halo reach is well worth it. Don't even think about getting the 4gb its not worth it, if your thinking like i did and get the 4gb then pay for a bigger drive? Its more expensive and more likely that it wont work than just buying this. This is enough space for movies, music, apps, and games. Halo Reach only takes up 7gb! Which is really cool for a game. Ive had this xbox for about a couple weeks now since i bought it off here, and i have never had one problem with it, ive even played it for 24 hours straight just to see what it can handle and it performed flawlessly. Get this before they run out, you will not regret it!

Well this was a V-day/ B-day present to myself. I just love this thing... very quite... lots of storage space and very easy to setup.I bought this to Replace my OLD Xbox360 that had the Red Ring :( i was not interested in the Kenect so i got his instead i'm very very glad for the purchase! I love the halo bundle i already owned a copy so i gave the disk copy to my friend so now we can play online with each other! If you have a old XBox360 this makes a great upgrade specially if you are having problems.Pros:Built in Wifibetter upgraded HD (no more special Microsoft enclosures)quiteseems like a better designcomes in black (i happen to like the black)comes with 2 games!3month free Xbox liveTOns of storage space (250GB)Cons:paying for Xbox live Gold :(no Blue rayKenect Extra $100not many Kenect titles for nowonly has 1 controllerController takes AA batteries (uses them up fast make sure you buy the RE-Chargeable batter packs)I am MUCH more happier about this unit than the OLD Xbox360

When I got it I found out that there was no hard drive inside. The add said 250 hard drive and only had one game. The only good is the system works good and the one game was brand new.

I purchased this because I heard that the new game, Elder Scrolls - Skyrim worked best on the Xbox 360. But before I purchased Skyrim, I thought I would try the game that shipped with the Xbox - Fable III. The game was fun, nothing earth-shattering, but the Xbox ultimately froze in less than a week, and refused to ever re-load again. I could have exchanged it for a new one, but decided I didn't want to support a company that sent out such a bad product. Who knows how long the next one would last, and I didn't want to chance it.Because of Amazons great return policy - I have actually purchased products that are more expensive on Amazon to receive the benefit of their return policy - this experience wasn't the nightmare it could have been. I rarely need to return anything - thanks in part to reading reviews on the Amazon site, but when you have an experience with a product like the Xbox it's great to have Amazon in your corner. BTW - Microsoft actually has a statement on the product that says not to return it to the store where you purchased it, but to contact their customer support. So much for me following directions.....

Well I always wanted an original xbox 360,but was put off by the technical issues,but when they redesigned it and released the slim I thought it was about time to make a purchase,it is far quieter than before and looks very nice,however all is not well,the machine doesn't like sharing an internet connect with my emac using a ethernet cable,it seams to work when I take it to friends houses through WI-FI,but the original xbox 360 worked flawlessly,also this machine eats DVD's giving them nasty scratches,so I use an original xbox for that purpose,but the worse thing is this machine gets seriously hot after a few hours use and give out a very nasty toxic smell rather like burning circuit boards and it's only 15 months old,this is totally unacceptable especially as all of my old console work perfectly even a 1977 Atari,so I believe another redesign is in order.

With baded breath I write this review. My kids begged and pleaded for us to get Xbox for Christmas so after listing the pros and cons, we went with the upgraded XBOX 360 250GB and purchased the Kinect. Spent a ridiculous amount of money on all the ticket games to get, Disneyland, Minute to Win It, Dance Central and Kinectimals with bears, not to mention the cost of the unit itself.I have never been so disappointed as I am with XBOX on any other gaming unit. We are current owners of Playstation 2 and the Wii. We have had nothing but difficulties just setting the system up to understand and read my children. Even my husband and I have difficulties maneuvering the Kinect that we never even made it past the set up phase on Minute to Win it, it wouldn't register us and we just turned it off. We still haven't been able to get the Disneyland to work or the Kinectimals.To be honest, my kids don't even ask to play it because its been so frustrating.We are going to try and sell it on eBay or back to Gamestop and purchase playstation 2 and Wii games.I don't recommend this to anyone - such a waste of money.

It was purchased as a gift for my children and they absolutely love it! The quality of the games is amazing! I would recommend the racing bundle it is worth the money.

I got his for my husband's birthday and he was thrilled! The racing bundle is so much fun, who doesn't want to drive fast?!?! I was pleased to see a controller was included, not just the "steering wheel".

We love playing with the XBox in general. The controls are very easy to use. My 9 year old figured out his games all on his own. The Kinect games are great family fun. It does take some re-arraging of furniture to get it to work, and the 6' space that they say that you need for 1 person is in-accurate, you really need more like 8'. We ended up purchasing the "Zoom" not a microsoft product, but you can find it just about anywhere, and it works great.We did have to almost completly move the couch out of the room, we have a very long room so we are able to make our couch in a diagnal scooted out of view. But it is not a direct view of the TV anymore. So we are now looking into purchasing some bean bags for the room so that the kids can sit in front of the TV to watch or play games and then when we use the Kinect we can just toss them out of the way. Another thing is that the XBox is not compatible with the older model TV's. It almost looked like we were playing an atari! We ended up updating our newer TV and moving that to the XBox room, it now looks and sounds great. All in all, it is well worth the newer tehcnology.

I looked at this product about a year ago and decided to go for a cheaper, not-name-brand hard drive with the same amount of space. While I was glad for doing so at the time, it ended up corrupting on me and I lost all my saved data and games. The same thing happened when I bought a USB drive and tried using it for my Xbox. I do not know if Microsoft is creating updates that are slowly making it harder to use non- Microsoft brand items but it seems that way with every product I have recently bought. I have had this product on another Xbox and have never had a problem.I would recommend buying the Microsoft Hard drive, even if it is over priced. You might be saving yourself some money in the long run.

First of all, even though the picture of the hard drive is from a microsoft hard drive, the hard drive I received was not a real MS hard drive. The seller claimed it was legit and everything. But, recently, I discovered that it was a generic hard drive, and thus, it could not play xbox original games. I attempted to play Jade Empire, and it would not work. The hard drive has worked well so far, but I did not appreciate the seller lying and saying it was a legit hard drive. I recommend you spend your money at your local shop and buy a real hard drive if you want the xbox originals emulator. If you do not mind that, give the generic hard drives a try, but be very careful as some have proven to be really slow for downloads.

Purchased box on 28th November. I really enjoyed the Kinect system and had a great deal of fun with it. Sadly, on January 18th my AC adapter went bad. No power was getting to the machine. After 20 minutes trying to negotiate my way through Microsoft repair support--I just wanted a new adapter--I went online with Microsoft support. They offered to send me a new one--AFTER they received the old one and WOW /sarcasm within ten whole days of receiving it. I pointed out that I could send back the whole system and get a refund on Amazon and purchase another one (or even a Wii) faster. They thanked me for my suggestion but were sorry that they didn't have such procedures. Is that defective adapter really worth a returned system and a committed customer who has the potential to earn them long-term profits? I give credit to Amazon. They recognized, immediately, the need to fix their relationship with disgruntled Kindle Fire purchasers. They called me at home to troubleshoot my problems and solved them.Buy a Wii.

I ordered this item expecting an official Microsoft product. What I received was a functional, though clearly black market product. On the packaging, the official seal lines and their coloring were all off, there were no indications of where the product was manufactured on the back of the packaging like the official product, and the patented Microsoft logo font (with the notched 'os' in the middle) was replaced with a generic italicized sans serif font. A clever ruse, especially when you're shopping online and don't get to take a look at the packaging. The case of the hard drive itself was clearly a fake by the lack of labels on the back present on the official drives, and the fact that it was made in China, whereas every drive I've examined in store has been made in Thailand (as indicated on the back of the official boxes).All in all, the only thing you really lose by using a fake drive is backwards compatibility with original Xbox games. If that's not important to you, then there are sellers who make it clear that they're selling unofficial products (250G HDD Hard Disk Drive For Microsoft Xbox 360 Slim), and they do it more cheaply and provide information on the actual type of hard drive they put in the fake casing. It's a crap shoot when you buy from one of the marketplace sellers from this page. The only way to ensure you're REALLY going to get an official hard drive from here is to buy direct from Amazon and not one of the marketplace sellers.

I have owned just about every system out there. I currently own a new PS3, Wii, and 360. Before I bought this model, I owed 2 20gb white 360's. Both of which succumbed to the RROD. After the last old 360 gave up, i thought i would just use the PS3 instead. I just couldnt do it. I really hate the PS3. Its not user friendly at all and they control too many aspects of the operating system. You cant play AVI ripped movies without Sony shutting you down. That thing just sits on the shelf in the bedroom collecting dust. Every now and then getting used as a BlueRay player. The Wii dont have enough firepower to do anything except keep little kids entertained. The 360 is where its at! It does it all. Now you can also use a portable HDD or usb storage device to save data and stream movies. Besides having to pay for xbox live every year, its on top of the heap. But then again, what did you ever get for free that was worth having anyways?If you are lookng for an all-in-one family entertainment and gaming system, look no further than the new slim 360. Its awesome.

My son was given an Xbox 360 Slim for his birthday in April. We could only get the 4GB one then and since he'd nearly used up all of that on just the few games and downloads he has we needed to expand. After much searching I found this Microsoft 250 GB hard drive for the Slim model on Amazon at a very good price - $20 to $40 cheaper than other retailers. Installation was as simple as opening the little door on the side, sliding the hard drive in until I heard the snap, then firing the machine up and it was ready to go. The Xbox dashboard is then used to navigate to "System Settings" and then to "Memory" where you can choose where to save downloads and games. My son was back online playing with his friends within 20 minutes of installation. I wish all my computer installations went that smoothly!One thing I wish I had known beforehand: in the new Xbox 360 Slim the 4GBs is not on a removable hard drive, but rather is partitioned off into its own section of the machine identified as "Memory Unit" on the Xbox dashboard through something called flash memory. What this means is you do not have to worry about how you're going to transfer your system's games and content from one hard drive over to the new larger 250GB one since you are not actually swapping out one hard drive for another. This wasn't clear to me from the beginning and questioning salespeople and searching online nearly had me convinced I'd need a transfer cable or risk losing my son's games. Fortunately I found the above information online and was able to relax enough to go ahead and install the new hard drive, although I still did copy everything to a USB thumb drive just in case.

Bought this for my brother since his old xbox got the infamous Red Ring. He is very happy with it so far and we were surprised because I guess I misread and we understood it didn't came with any controllers apart from the "racing wheel". The bonus headset was also a surprise!

I purchased this item on Amazon instead of a store for the savings in price, What I did not know was the excellent customer service I would also receive. The first HDD I received had difficulty with older original xbox games, The vender promtly offered to return my purchase or exchange the HDD. I went with an exchange, the vender paid for all shipping and even fulfilled my request that it be shipped in a box or other hard container. In fact he sent my replacement in an original box, above what I asked, and had the replacement to me in a matter of a few days. The HDD works great, exactly as advertised, I have all my games installed to the HDD and all my Zune movies as well. performance is excellent! The 250 GB HDD is a Microsoft product not an imitation. This vender stayed in daily communication with me through out the exchange process and was always very professional and polite. I especially enjoyed how he would answer my questions in minutes not a just within the day. Between the HDD performance and the sterling customer service I recommend this vender above all others when purchasing an HDD for your xbox 360 slim. I will look for the specific vender first on my next xbox 360 slim purchase. If you play games that have lots of DLC you need this 250GB HDD, and if you enjoy an excellent product from an excellent seller, you need to buy here!
