This webcam is performing very well in general. I do have to agree that its internal microphone outperforms other webcam's mics. Audio quality is very good. On the video side it is very good but not as crisp as my other logitech 910 I have. Video is a little soft but that is quite ok for video chats and other PC purposes for this camera. Matching with Windows7 Ultimate is a breeze and drivers have no problems that I could find.

Thou this this is a little pricy, it is by far worth every penny, quite possibly one of the most important purchases I could have made. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good web cam. the pic quality of this this is out of this world.

I purchased this recently to use with Skype running under Windows 7, thi sis an excellent webcam, high quality, even in low lighting. I decided to upgrade to Win8 and the camera drivers were automatically installed. I love this webcam.

Overall this is a good product. The picture quality is clear. Friends had recommended it. But the speed did not meet my expectations. The picture would freeze then jump to the current moment which does not work for my needs. I had to switch back to my built-in webcam on my computer.

With one on linux you can pull in high quality video, but something with it reserving a lot of bandwith on the USB bus, when you go to two, you are limited to 800x600 or less on both.

I needed to purchase a webcam for my proctored exams for my rn/bsn degree and figured for the price why not try this camera out. I've been pleasantly surprised with its performance and ease of use.

The build quality, video quality, sound quality is all A+++, if you are on a PC. I purchased this for a little project I was starting that required a USB camera. I had read several reviews which mentioned some compatibility with MAC, but no one has been very sure. Well I can tell you that on my MAC running lion, it works to a point. But the hassle is not worth it. The camera has a hard time adjusting, if at all, the brightness and contrast. The only way to resolve this is by unplugging the cam for a min then starting it up again to see if the problem continues. Most of the camera features are controlled through the provided software, which on a mac their is non. One option is to run windows on your machine, but that would defeat the purpose of your purchase. Next I will be trying the Logitech HD Portable 1080p Webcam C615 which is labeled as being mac compatible. Will post me experience once it arrives.Bottom line: I would not recommend this for a mac. I have tried to work out the kinks over 2 weeks but the issue with the brightness and contrast is too much of a hassle. But if you are on a PC, don't even think about it. This is a really good camera with outstanding clarity on video/photo/audio.

Great build quality, great image quality. Perfect for Skype. Great at low light.You can record 1080p, just not with the included software. Google for alternatives. Though 720p is really nice on this and should be enough for most applications.

The camera works very well, producing good color in most lighting conditions as advertised. The microphone cuts in and out, mostly out. It picks up sound really good when it works, but that is not often. If picture is the most important thing to you this cam is great.

I bought this to go with a new desktop build I put together and it's great. Very sharp pictures and images; friends say the picture is excellent that they see via skype. It has a nice, soft moutning clip, so it sticks on the top of our HDTV that we use as the monitor securely. It swivels, so it can be on the side and still point the camera at the person or object offcenter. Overall, very nice camera. It was instantly recognized by Windows and driver updated with no issues.

When I was looking for a new webcam to support the view out my windows when I upgraded my hardware and software, it was a real crapshoot. Apparently not very many people use these cheap webcams for anything but live chat. I support a website that includes a camera that looks out onto Copper Harbor, MI, and I wanted one that would focus at infinity and give good color. I ended up with this one mostly because it was the only one that was pretty much guaranteed to work with Windows 7.Installation was a no-brainer. I plugged it in, it found the drivers online and it worked. No fiddling with disks or anything like that. It works fine with KABCAM, which is the software I use to control it. I was a bit taken aback at first because it is so very wide-angle, but most of my viewers seem to like that. It has good color rendition, and a much wider dynamic range than my old camera, especially under low light conditions. It has even shown the inside of my studio when lit only by the light from my monitor.One thing I don't like too well is the mount. It does attach to my tripod, but there is a piece of soft plastic between the tripod mount and the camera which makes it a bit difficult to properly aim and orient the camera. And while the light on the top of the camera is probalby useful for live chat, it reflects in my windows after dark and is very annoying. A piece of tape solves that, and also covers the microphone, which is totally superfluous for my application.I am contributing this review so that if there are others who need a camera that will work with Windows 7 and works as a scenic webcam, they will know that this one is quite acceptable.

The bullet LifeCams (maybe all others as well) suffer from an autofocus nightmare. The unit is always trying to refocus and often times will lose focus of the subject of the video. I would encourage you to bypass this camera and look for another option.

We had two other cameras that we used for skyping. They always distorted the picture, the color would be weird (like everything was red or blue tinted), the sound was never reliable and kind of garbled....obviously we needed a new one. After looking around, this one seemed to be the best price for what you got and we bought two of them. So far, the picture is always clear, the sound is great, and we have not experienced any distortions or issues when using skype. it focuses in and out on it's own pretty well unless you get REALLY close up (like a few inches away) and then it gets confused on what to focus on. I'd recommend it for sure, I think it's a great product for the money.

This product is a hoax- it DOES NOT work with Skype. During a Skype video call, when Skype autodetects an internet connection capable of sending high-quality video (HQV), a functionality of Skype which you cannot turn off, by the way, Skype sends a signal to this webcam to switch to HQV causes the webcam to bug out and bleed green throughout the image. This is known by Microsoft, who fraudulently continue to advertise the webcam works with Skype when it does not. Neither the firmware or software updates provided by Microsoft solve this problem. This camera is one of the most expensive on the market and in fact it is junk.

Works great with windows 8 and Skype for Desktop.The only thing was when setting up with Skype I Could not nor see any Video just sound. But then when I made a Video Call All was OK and even Setup in Skype start working.
