I replaced a LifeCam 6000 series webcam with this unit. Picture quality, clarity, and light sensitivity are hands and feet above my old LifeCam. Solid aluminum housing is also a nice (Apple-like) touch. Old LifeCam software does not work with this camera but when I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro I found that most of the functionality of the LifeCam software can be found in the Camera app on the Metro.

Outstanding Webcam with a very universal "mount" and easy install. The 1080p HD provides a very clear excellent color pictures and the video is wonderful. Most of the webcams we have had were built into the computer but decided to purchase the new computer with a separate webcam and glad we did! this is the best cam I've seen. Seller and shipping was excellent.

I actually owned the first Microsoft HD camera and was really impressed. Many people argue that Logitech makes better cameras, but let me tell you this. I work for neither of the companies and i stand on neutral ground. This is a quality camera for little money, and most of all it's accurate, rich in colours and full HD 1080p. Need i say more?

I needed something that I could record my Sign Language special with and this little guy the the trick. Pretty much mount it on any moniter, or get a tripod to put it on and you can put it anywhere. Great for video chating and everything. KEWL

I misread the description. I thought it makes 1080p video but it's not. It's 1080p images and 720p video.Anyway, I was expecting a bit less noisy image. It's not bad, but I was expecting something better if it's branded as Microsoft product.

I just bought Q2F-00013 webcam. I also bought Square Trade warranty but I couldn't find a serial number. It doesn't comes with a box, so where can I find the serial number and what does it look like?Thanks

Had this piece of junk for all of 6 months, and it just failed. The computer can't even see the damn thing. Unloaded/reloaded the drivers, software, upgraded the frimware, nada. I won't be buying anything with Microserfs name on it anymore, especially now that they plan on forcing everyone into their "cloud". I personally call it a gas cloud...

Was not expecting a webcam to work as a security camera but distant focus and low light performance is great (if you have porch light or street light). Works great with Windows 8.

Really great camera. Quality and packaging is very good.Camera has a lot of customizations and auto-white ballance working good.Bug with automatic focus after setting object too close to the camera does persist but it's minor.

I Am Useing It for Skype , And I use A Program called keylemon to log me in to my computer when i sit down then when it sees me get up it locks again my old webcam quality wasent this good so my brother could login to my computer not anymore !

The camera works, and produces clear pictures. However, its mounting doesn't seem very secure on top of my monitor, and the lens cover keeps coming off.

Had problems with this cam since day 1. I am a video game streamer and when i went to go use camera , i would have to mess with settings, reinstall,camera, etc. just to get it to work. It got to the point where it just didn't work at all anymore. Ended up going with a Logitech C510 instead and Not only does that cam work everytime, it also has a better looking picture.

Great web-cam, picture quality is very good even in low light. Very flexible stand that mounts to just about all surface or device.

I got this camera and compared it with my current Logitech C310 via skype. I found the C310 gave a better video chat quality than this one, So I return it and plan to buy C920. You can find compare on youtube between this one and C920.

The Windows 8 drivers/app for this is horrible, I had to uninstall it and install a slightly buggy Windows 7 version to be able to record video/snap pictures/access video affects from external software like Skype.Hopefully the Windows 8 support will get better with time.As far as a straight up webcam its really nice for the money. (half the cost of logitech's similar cam)

Wish I'd read the reviews here more carefully instead of online reviews. If you are getting this camera for 1080p video recording, DON'T. It doesn't have that capability out of the box. You have to buy additional software.The software from MS is useless.I'm going back to my logitech 920. The picture is better and the software is better.This is getting returned.

Cam came very quickly and was far beyond what i needed and works wonderfully. I make videos to help people with certain video games and this cam is perfect for it.

I like the quality of the video with this camera, I don't like the auto adjusting (wish I could turn that off). It was easy to just plug in and use right out of the box. It was also easy to set atop my laptop the bottom of it is rubberized and grips to the laptop.

Pretty nice camera. I like the way it easily mounts or can be placed just about any reasonable place. Super easy set up. Works like a charm. I've been waiting a while for a camera like this. I'll probably get a couple more.

AWESOME PICTURE QUALITY. VIDEO CHAT IN 720P HD AND RECORDS IN 1080P HD. TRUE COLOR TECHNOLOGY WITH FACE TRACKING IS A PLUS. STYLE AND SIZE OF THIS WEBCAM IS A 10 OUT OF 10. THIS WOULD BE A NICE UPGRADE FROM YOUR OLD WEBCAM.

This a good compact webcam that provides HD quality pictures and a built in microphone. The only downside is it is difficult to attach to anything to keep it stable.

Great quality images on this webcam and it will work with a tripod or by itself on the top of a monitor
