This camera also works very well with Ubuntu Linux 10.04.There is no setup or software installation as it seems to be supported by uvcvideo module. Ekiga, Skype, Cheese and guvcvideo find it and immediately start using it. The picture quality is amazing and works much better in lower lighting conditions than my previous USB camera.

Compare to the iSight camera build-in to my Macbook Air, this camera shown a much improved quality. On the Mac, it was truly plug and play. NO software installation required. Sound is ample but not great, quality is average on sound.

Outstanding video 1080P and sound, the included software is flexable and helps to create stills as well as video with special effects. I would recommend this webcam to anyone, it works on my PC as well as my wifes MAC.I use it on Skype for overseas contact, my son says the picture and sound are outstanding.

Webcams have come a long way. This webcam is fantastic and dare I say it better than the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema which I also own and love. Although I still like the shape of the microsoft camcorder better.This is not your average cheapie webcam, it's high quality construction with two microphones, a nice lens and a flexible mount that you can use to mount this to a monitor or lay on the desk.I has two half moons on each side that light up a blue color to show you when the webcam is turned on.The software package that comes with the camera is wonderful too, easy to connect to skype or to upload video to YouTube.Overall, if you review products or do minor commentary online this webcam will serve you well. It's sweetspot will be video conferencing.Just bear in mind you do need a core2 duo 2.4 ghz processor to really take maximum use of the tool.Overall, this has been the webcam that has had me come around to using cams at all. Before, the quality of video was too low and the construction was poor.This webcam is different, very high quality construction and very high quality images, stereo microphones AND good software to boot.

Image quality is not any better than built in Apple iSight camera even though this claims to be HD quality at 10 Megapixels. They seem to accomplish that claim through software and excessive sharpen.

I bought this product so my wife could keep up with her relatives in Germany. The product installed OK except for selecting my internal sound system on my laptop instead of the speakers in the webcam. It took some troubleshooting to figure this out. The mechanical design of the mounting is terrible. You may need duck tape or velcro to make it stable. After everything was set up, the picture quality and sound was better than I expected.Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 with 1080p Video

I bought this WebCam for my Father while I was visiting in Florida. I liked the quality of it so much, I bought one for myself. Very nice camera. Good quality, sound and easy to setup. I then created a Skype acct... While Logitec offers their own web came service, I found most of the folks I know use Skype so I went with the easy choice. However, make sure you have enough CPU and RAM to use it. HD requires horsepower to provide a good user experience.Bill - Mahopac, NY

Length:: 2:07 MinsI bought this webcam to make videos.. I would like to make video of me cooking, etc.. but I need to buy a laptop which I will soon! 1080P HD.. nice.I got it for $65.. I saved $30! It was on special. I have a high gaming computer.. i7 860 @ 4.2ghz, Evga 570GTX, 4GB RAM, windows 7.. I loveee my PC.

The device is plug and play under Linux (Kernel 2.6.35) and works fine.At the same time, I should note that being new it's only recognized as a Miscellaneous Logitech device at this time (From lsusb: Bus 001 Device 006: ID 046d:0821 Logitech, Inc.)The mount is a bit stubbier than the Pro 9000, so keep that in mind if you have an older LCD that has a bit of thickness to it. Also, the length of the cable is about a foot shorter than the Pro 9000, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it was definitely a surprise and something I had to work around and is something you should be aware of.The C910 is definitely sleeker than the Pro 9000 with a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing look. I would definitely recommend you scoop one up for yourself, but one of the greatest things about it coming out is that it drove down the price of the Pro 9000 so I've been gifting the Pro 9000 to everyone.

UPDATE: Oct 24, 2010:Skype in 16:9 is not controlled by user. It will automatically detect the connection speed and switch between the two format. In coversheet! The other side will fell a glitch of half second or so.Initial Review:Overall, the C910 is a decent webcam. Much better than those non HD wwebcams used before. Build quality is high.Not able to figure out how to skype in HD with the 5.x Beta release yetVideo call is only in 720p. 1080p HD is reserved for video recording only.Takes quite long time to compress the data when set the resolution to 1080p do video recording.Video quality is very good for a webcam. But don't compare it with real HD camcorder.Face recognition work great.Sound quality is very good for talk. It became crappy when trying to record music instrument play.Logitech software still have room to improve to be more user friendly(compare with MS one).You can not recording a video call in Vid HD.

I bought this webcam last year november for my mother when here logitech orbitcam of 1.3 megapixels stopped working after 5 years. Last month I bought one for myself too.We live in the caribbean on different islands and both of us have an internet speed around the 10 mbit down and 512 up.We are using the webcams mainly for skyping. The video image quality is excellent.(Not blurry but crystal clear).

I spoke with their tech support and did all i could to make it work on my computer, but I am still having compability issues and cannot get it to work on my computer despite all the good reviews i read about this product. What a disappointment. I guess i just have to return it

I BOUGHT THIS ITEM ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO AND THAT REALLY IMPRESS ME IS HOW EASY IS TO INSTALL ALL I HAD TO DO IS PLUG IT TO MY PC AND THE WEBCAM AUTOMATIC STARTED THE INSTALLATIONTHIS IS TO THE BEST WEBCAM I HAVE EVER SEEN.THANKS!!!!!!

This product was not functional with my computer which is running Windows XP. There was not enough RAM since it requires aprox. 450 mb of ram. It jammed my system and could not be restarted even by a computer tech. The hard drive had to be restored to original format. I lost multitudes of valuable files. I now have no use for the product. The Logitech Webcam has been cast aside as useless and I am kicking myself for inviting this technical disaster.

I bought the webcam for Skype seminars for our staff, one of the teachers just said... "wow, what a great camera you got there, I can see you very well!" So coming from a guy that teaches via Skype, I can say it it a great webcam!

This is a nice camera and according to the hype has all kinds of bells and whistles none of which work with mac as advertised. I'm very disappointed. Logitech lists this software as applicable but we just couldn't get it to work, using mac technicians. It is on its way back.

The Logitech C910 Webcam is one of the best webcams that I have used. Logitech has an outstanding technical and Customer Service that stands behind their product. The "Follow my face" was the only option not avaliable when loaded on my PC Pentium 4 w/ Windows XP, but did work on my Laptop Intel Core i3 w/ Windows 7. It is easy to load the software and change the Webcam from one unit to another. It work with Skype 5.+. I highly recommend this unit.

I love this webcam. I really do. The image quality is crystal clear. It works great even in dim light without getting pixely. The sound quality is good as well. The accompanying software etc is not bad. In all a great webcam and higly recommended.

I have had a few webcams over the years and hands down this Logitech HD Por Webcam C910 is the best one I have ever had. Ease to set up, the softwear installs it self. The VID program that comes with the cam is also nice to use and I like it better then Skype. So far all the webcams I had were Logitech and there products are great. If anyone gets this cam they will love like I do.
