This is a good web cam and a good value for the price. Since this is the first webcam I have purchased I don't have anything to compare it to but the only deficit I have noticed is the audio durning playback of a recording. While there may be some things I can do with the Logitech software to remedy that low audio volume on playback, the install and performance straight out of the box is good.

I am very pleased with this webcam. I'm not an expert on these, but it gives me a good clear picture when I'm on line and it was easy to install.

It worked just fine when I got it...taking pictures, video calling, & recording short clips but now the issue I'm having with it is when I try to record videos the video starts jumping while I'm recording & it shows in the video very irritating!!!

I just purchased this webcam, and I was pretty skeptical of what kind of results that I would get when it finally arrived via USPS. The first thing I did was hook it up to my computer with Windows 7 on it and installed the logitech software. The video quality was really, really bad. I tried everything to fix it - I'm not even going to start listing all of the things that I tried to get this sucker to work right.Finally, after some time searching for the source of the problem, I realized that I had installed Windows 7 very recently. I looked on my computer to see what kind of video drivers it had on it. Apparently, for whatever reason, I have not yet recieved all of the automatic updates for my system which would have included the proper drivers.When I stuck the webcam on my computer with Windows XP (that did have all of the right video drivers installed on it) that's when this webcam really started to shine. The pictures and video are just great now. I just did a Google seach on this and noticed that not having the right video drivers installed actually flies under the radar for quite a few people, so I thought I might post my thoughts here.

Length:: 6:49 MinsVideo showing various capabilities of the camera.Something I forgot to mention in this video: this is a webcam, so make sure you follow the directions for the install, or it might not work right with the software, etc. Following the directions meaning: Put the CD in first, then plug the camera in during the installation when it asks you to. Don't plug the camera in before you start the installation.Great camera. Enjoy the vid.Updated annoyances:- The software does weird stuff if you've got a two monitor setup. Clicking between different 'mode' will make the interface window JUMP back and forth between both screens. Just an annoyance.- The Audio mic is okay, but not as nice as I originally thought. After I've made a few acoustic music videos for YouTube, I've been annoyed by the mic's distortion and splash when I hit high notes or sing loudly. Also, whenever you turn the cam software on, "right sound" is checked on by default, which applies a weird low-quality compressor and noise gate to the recorded audio, which means that if you're playing guitar and singing, those filters will destroy the result. Which is also really annoying, especially if you forget it on when you record a song, finally get through an entire take, then watch the video--and "Right Sound" screwed it up.

I'm a gamer and I was looking for a webcam to start my own live stream, and take the occasional picture. I didn't need anything fancy, just a quality camera that wouldn't make me hate everything.The mic and camera work amazingly. I could listen to music and still talk into the mic and it would pick up everything I was saying loud and clear. The only time I was moderately disappointed was when I was playing Amnesia. In the dark, the camera does not work very well so I would suggest getting a dim box light or something similar if you plan to use this for video in the dark. It works fine for pictures though.Overall, this product is wonderful and cheap ($25 at this time), can clip to the top of your monitor even though I have it perched at the bottom of my monitor, looking up as my 5.1 system has a speaker on top of my monitor.EDIT UPDATE: Webcam is broken - can't return it and I didn't save the box. The product is great but for some reason it just didn't work when I came back from college :/

Surprisingly good product for the money, good video and sound quality, ease of installation and use, compact design, compatible with Windows 7 . Would recommend it to family and friends.

I bought this to Skype with. The camera balances pretty well on my laptop lid and the cord is long enough. Seems to focus well and the image is nice as well. Good deal for the price.

I installed this product in a Toshiba Satellite laptop with Windows 8 and Linux Ubuntu 12, and it worked very well in both. Something important to note is that webcam CD didn't work on Linux (as I expected), so some features I couldn't use it in this operating system, but in my case, I didn't need them.The image resolution it is great, and I think it is not an expensive webcam.I absolutely recommend it.

Tried other Webcams and this one has easy to use software and video quality is good for the price. The best part is the microphone works better then any other webcam I have.

Good picture but had hard time installing, the person I was skyping could not hear me but I could hear them, had to get someone to help me fix this. I also cannot leave it plugged in, if I restart or shut down my computer it makes a horrible buzzing sound if left plugged in. Otherwise, it has been good.

What can I say? I purchased one webcam, used it for a while, and then decided to purchase another for video surveillance.Captured images are crisp, sharp and true to colors.

One more Logitech device in my stable...along with the Revue (why did they stop making these), Squeezebox, and Harmonies. This Webcam installed quickly, works flawlessly and was affordable. Nice work Logitech!

I bought this product at the behest of my sister who said that my mother needed to keep in contact with my nephew & niece living in New York. Apparently talking on the phone wasn't enough or my mother wanted to see their bright & shiny faces; whatever the reason this item arrived well in advance of the posted arrival date & took all of 10 minutes (maybe) to install. The picture is clear (from what the receivers told her) and she had no difficulty mounting the camera atop her monitor. You can't beat the price as well. I was going to shop locally (at the Wal-Mart) where the same device was being sold for $50, but why give Sam Walton's greedy little relatives anymore money when I can order it through Amazon for less? A great product & a good gift for someone not too tech minded & who appreciates simple devices.

worked well except was sometimes hard to situate on my laptop so that it would stay, not a huge problem at all tho, easily fixable. very worth the money, works well and does its job. good microphone too. i would recommend this to anyone not looking to spend a lot

i have webcam installed in laptop already so no need for it. If didnt have webcam installed, This is the perfect webcam, HD, the way it clamps on to your comp.

Camera works fine and picture quality is very good but it will not attach firmly to the PC screen. I have to tape it to the back of the screen which seems rather strange. However, I suspect it must work with a number if different PC screens so I guess it must be flexable enough to do that.

Camera gives decent to great quality of video/pictures. for the price I feel it delivered. wish the clip was more sturdy or a better design but it does get the job done.

fantastic picture qualitiy, love everything about this camera except the way it fits on a monitor. but I would definitely buy it again
