I got his webcam for my Dad so he could have Christmas with the rest of the family since he can't physically be here. He lives several states away and isn't very computer savvy. I remoted into his computer and we had this camera set up within minutes. We downloaded Skype and he was diggin' it!! Nothing to check with sound or video capture; worked like a charm. He mentioned it took a little bit to get it positioned right but while we were talking it sat on top of the laptop. The resolution was super! I give this a 5 thumbs up and would be my recommendation for a webcam for both a flat screen or laptop.

This cam has clear images coming from this side, and great sound/volume, and is in-sync, even on older computers. Have recommended this product to a couple of people so far, and thinking of buying one as a gift. It's definitely good value for such a great, high-quality tech product. We paid $24.95 whereas, in store, it's $40. We find it works better with Yahoo Messenger than Skype, but still use it on both.

The title says it all. What's not to like? Well the only thing would be that the clasp design is a bit awkward for attachment to a laptop but so far though it seems certain to fall it has not yet. I fail to understand what more anyone would need in a webcam. I did debate the more expensive model and so pleased I settled for this (thanks to the other reviews). Bang for the buck, crystal clear image, mic quality good. Go for it. Was so ticked off that my new $1000 plus lenovo y470 internal web cam was of such poor quality, far worse than the 4 year old dell 1500 i was replacing but now I am almost glad it was as it forced me to invest in a webcam that delivers far more than I expected.

The quality is actually quite nice, however, as soon as you install the software, everything will look like total crap. Just DON'T do it.

I read up on the product before I got it to make sure it wasn't a piece of crap and it's not. It's of decent quality, the picture is generally not pixelated/bitmapped at all, and I've gotten comments that the sound is very clear. However, my friends tell me that it often will freeze a frame of me for several seconds before the lag stops and the video is once again moving in time with the sound. All in all, glad I bought it but it's not the best ever.

The Logitech HD Camara model C310 is one of the first line of HD webcams, coming out in 2010. I purchased this after buying off brand camaras on the cheap on amazon and ebay. This camara is a big jump from those at about $40 instead of $15-$25 cheapies. I opened it today and have used it for a couple hours with my girlfriend 2 timezones away, and despite that connection and her moderate speed (~3mb down, .5 up compared to my 28 down and 3 up) she gets a very clear image, much larger than that from so called 3, 5, and 8MP camaras. She showed me through Skype's 'share screen' function, which still showed a clear and vibrant image. Recording locally (on my laptop) provides very good video as well.The driver CD has a lot of Logitech extras. The HD vid works as well as Skype, though I think you might have to pay for it beyond a certain amount of use if you don't own a Logitech camara. The typical gimmicky stuff is included as well, that is "personalization" add-ons, ie. fake backgrounds of nature, image mirroring and distortions, etc.The camara is a lot smaller than I've used. The actual camara portion is just under 3in wide and just over 1in tall, and less than 1in deep. It gets fairly warm in use.The clip/mount is terrible for laptops. I have it mounted on my LCD monitor fairly comfortably, but note that such a small camara and the non-spring loaded clip are subject to the weight and tug of the USB cord. There's a velcro strap on the cord presumably for organizational convenience. The camara pivots only on a y-axis joint (pitch). There is no movement for yaw or rotation.Be careful opening out of the box. To detach from the cardboard, scissors are a guaranteed necessity. The box is ridiculously big for the product.Here's a Gizmodo article discussing Logitech's new HD webcams: [...]NOTE: Just because a webcam is advertised as HD, doesn't make it so. I believe only Microsoft and Logitech currently (Summer and Fall 2010) offer true HD webcams for consumer use. Regardless, it's much easier to return something to an established group like those 2 than many questionable online merchants that often sell on Amazon.

Pretty much what I wanted. Sometimes sites dont let it work. Im thinking its more to do with the website than the cam. cuz some sites it always works, some sites it has trouble often.

Just got this in yesterday and plugged it up to my Mac Pro (dual quad - OSX 10.6.6). I bought it primarily to use for Delicous Library 2 so I was eager to try it out in that app but decided to test it first. I wanted to see for one thing if the audio worked ok or not. I don't really think I will use it for audio since direct mics (such as a headset, etc.) provide better quality than an ambient room mic. But I was curious never-the-less.I fired up QuickTime Player, File->New Movie Recording and wham. I was staring at my old mug. Nice sharp, clear pic. Color is vibrant. A smidge of lag from the camera (not bad really) but still sufficient for me. Clicked record and played it back. Oops. No audio. So, I launched Audio MIDI Settings via System Preferences and saw that the mic wasn't enabled by default which makes sense. So I right clicked and selected "Use this device for Sound Input". Back to QuickTime and boom. Works great. My sample rate was set by default to 48k, 1 channel and 16bit. I then went to Garageband (since someone claimed it didn't work there) and the mic worked fine. Once again it's only an ambient mic but worked well enough in the app.Next I went to Delicious Library 2. You can use the camera there as a barcode scanner (neat trick). After finding the button in Delicious to turn on the camera and bringing up the new item dialog box I held a DVD up to the camera and BEEP...we have a DVD scanned. Sweet!Bottom line: this little camera is a great deal at $30 and works fine on my Mac. I have no idea why others are not so lucky. I was surprised at how well it worked actually. I also would like to thank the merchant "iDealsLava" (heh, what a name) who shipped this to me in pronto time without a hitch. Man, Amazon rocks doesn't it?

Love the quality of the camera! It records long hours of captured great quality video into small Avi files. But, my only con is not allowing the camera to physically turn left or right. Only vertical motion. Other than that, its a great purchase.

I have this camera for several month. The image quality is very good, but it does not work with Skype. I mean it's down it time to time or picture became frozen. I did some research and found that I'm not alone. There are a lot of complains on it and as I understand Spkype and Logitech finger point one to another.So I do not recommend to buy it if you'd like to use this camera with Skype.

Excellent Webcam. Works great using Windows 7 and Skype. Not enough memory (only 2 Gb total, and some is being used for my on board video) on my laptop to work in HD but the picture is great! Setup was a breeze with downloaded (from Logitech) software.

The quality of the picture is sharp/clear with this camera. Logitech has been a good brand for me. The last one I had was several years old so the resolution wasn't that great, when I put this one on my fiance was so excited how clearly he could see me on skype! It is decently priced, for a personal webcam to talk with friends and family it works great. No need to go up in price and get a fancier one. There are a few fun effects also.

I was looking for a new webcam with good picture quality and that would beeasy to install at an affordable price and this one met all those needs.I didn't even install the software that came with it. I just plugged it inand it works great.

I'ordered the C310 for my girlfriend overseas because her webcam is almost a decade old. I received it via USPS and no problems there. The camera is pretty friendly when it comes to plug and use since it will automatically download the drivers/software needed.I will have to say one bad thing about it, when I plugged it in, the contrast/brightness/color were all messed up. Even though the room was very well lit, the color/brightness did not match. It was not the easiest setting to adjust after I opened up the Logitech software. I wish there was an auto setting of some sort, but like my title review says. You get what you pay for. $23.99 for a 720p HD camera + free S&H, alright in my book.

This camera is a fantastic product, and the jump in quality from my laptop camera was so staggering that my parents requested I purchase them a copy as well.I highly recommend this camera. It was easy to set up, and works wonderfully, especially for the price.

I had a terrible problem getting my computer to find the camera. In fact, I am not sure the issues are completely solved. However, once the camera started working, it was superb. The image is crystal clear. Additionally, I am happy with the audio quality.I have noticed, in the last few weeks, that most of the people I video chat with are using their smart phones. They send me blurred, jumpy, poorly lit video and barely understandable audio. So, at this point, I need to ask myself if the added cost of a 720 p webcam was even justified. The answer is that I don't want to send garbage out. But I can hardly keep the people I chat with from sending me garbage video.If you care about the quality of your web images, this is a good camera. It's extra cost is justified. You must, however, be ready to put up with some installation problems. You will like the final result.

Works well with Skype.Running Windows 7 without any issues (Windows installed the drivers), and Skype took care of the rest.I'm not sure what else you need out of a webcam.

I am very pleased with the the Logtech Webcam C310. Easy to connect - that is a wow for me! I love the quality of the picture transmitted to others. I would recommend to everyone!I will be using this webcam for training to my rubber stamping team as well as showing projects made and hope to receive from others using webcams.

I love this camera. It is lightweight and fits on my laptop very well. The picture quality is GREAT. It is very crisp and clear. The only thing I don't like about this camera is that it does not have its own light so you have to have pretty good light of your own. The software even recommends a video editing application that I love.

Logitech comes through, as usual. I simply plugged it in, installed the software and hooked up with Skype with no problems. The image quality is excellent. The zoom and pan features work great. I highly recommend this webcam.

The Logitech HD C310 is very good for the price I paid. It was easy to install and I used this camera to contact my family and friends overseas using Skype, Facebook and Gmail. I give the Camera four Stars only because it does not turn on automatically when I turn on my computer. I must turn it on Manually
