I received a Logitech C310 webcam within days of placing the order. I had read many other positive reviews and had researched the pricing prior to buying. Amazon's pricing was very favorable. Installation was extremely easy (less than 5 minutes including software updates). Immediately I noticed a marked improvement in picture quality. I used this on Skype and received instant feedback regarding picture clarity. Highly recommend this webcam.

It is amazing how good a picture you get with such a small camera. I only use it for Skype on a desktop with Windows 7. There was no need for setup, the OS recognized the device and installed the drivers. The mounting scheme works well on top of a large monitor, but it could fall if you shake it, so keep it steady.

It was about $20.00 when I purchased it. Best 20 I ever spent. No frills, but plug it in and it works! I spent $90.00 on the C920 and like this one better! Yes the picture on the C920 is better but other than that this thing is a blast! It came in a plastic bag, no users manual, no noting, but you don't need anything! Plug it in and have fun!

Pros: You plug it in, it works. No rebooting. No playing with your settings. No dipping into your .conf files or batch files. No WINE. You plug it in, you start Cheese, your picture is there. You record a video and your voice is there. Magic.Cons: It lags slightly when recording a video. So, in that way you can seem like an old Kung-Fu film. Hopefully this will not be the case in Skype.

The resolution on this camera is surprisingly good, and it fits on most monitors because of the adjustable mounting arm. So far it's the best camera in the house, and I wish I could get more use out of it because it makes me want to Skype more!

I bought this for my boyfriend and had it ship to him at grad school. We weren't sure how it was going to work becasue we were used to the built in web cam on his lap top but this works great for skyping.

I purchased this for my 87-year-old mother-in-law. I installed it for her and set her up with a Skype account. She has used it a few times and it's really good. Perfect low-cost webcam for family use.

Installed the included Logitech software and updated from the internet. Works great on XP SP3 as well as win7. Works great in daylight. Microphone is very sensitive. Don't bother trying to use it as a security cam at night. It is completely worthless in low light (to be expected). The motion capture part of the software works excellent! The mount/clip thingy works pretty good. I was worried at first but it does exactly what it's suppose to do. Just wish the USB cord was a little longer.

I tried two other webcams that were supposed to work on my OpenSuse 12.2 Linux desktop. One gave me audio but no video and the other gave me video but no audio and hosed the USB stack so I couldn't use another USB audio device. Even compiling the drivers from the latest Video4Linux source didn't help. This one worked flawlessly out of the box.

Used for three months, no error occurs.Cons: not on the deal timeOther thoughts: The HD video only takes effects on certain small range. To make yourself a better HD display effect, you need keep a certain distance from the camera. But the effective range for HD display is too small. Some big movement would make your display vague.

Good webcam for the money. You have to load all the software to get the HD features. However, the software then auto loads in your systray upon next boot (you may or may not like that feature). If you don't like it, you can always run msconfig on Windows to configure your boot options so that the software won't auto load. You can use the Logitech software features to video chat or simply Skype with it (both situations yield great resolution). Sound was good, too.The mount was a little tricky - you simply fold it over the top edge of your laptop screen (doesn't touch the screen, only the case). However, it is not "securely" mounted or clamped - it somewhat cantilevers into position. You can tilt your laptop about 15-20 degrees (left or right) before the cam falls or slides off (greater range of tilt back and forth). Otherwise, functioned as advertised - I even bought two for two separate laptops. Both worked great.

recieved package and thought there was a mix up. It is small and has great quality video and workmanship. Was xmas gift so wife could skype to family and friends in other states. Helped prevent home sickness........

The camera itself is great. Very good resolution. The microphone really picks up everything. We use it for Skyping with the grand kids. The only drawback is the camera just hangs over the top of the laptop. If you rotate the laptop (so the other person can chat), sometimes the stiff cable drags on the table and flips the camera off or way out of whack. Maybe if the clam shell hinge was spring loaded, it would help. I'm sure this work great on a traditional desktop with separate monitor computer.

I have been using a $7 camera so far on my desktop.I do not regret the upgrade: the video quality is excellent while the camera is small and attach itself securely to the monitor
