I got this camera since I was tired of using my cell phone to Skype with my parents. Once I got this camera and set it up in our home office (which took literally 2 minutes), I started talking with my parents and they flipped out how amazing we all looked. How clear everything and everyone was. I think the lighting feature helps a lot. I'm able to see myself on a smaller screen with Skype and I gotta say that I look pretty sharp! The picture looks great and its so easy to use. I wish I would have bought it sooner.

I bought this thinking my built in webcam was the problem when I tried Skype. I soon realized that it's skype that is the issue, so I switched to google chat, and I was thrilled with the results of the webcam. The auto focus has some getting used to, but overall wonderful quality. Crisp image and great sound. if you are looking for a basic webcam that still produces a decent image, i would definitely recommend this product. Fairly simple to set up.

For the price, definitely go with this HD webcam. Alot better than the standard definition webcams out there and far surpasses the ones built in to many laptops etc. Audio is good quality as well. It just depends on whether you need the added features of the C510 or the C525 and if that justifies spending the extra $10-15. They all have great reviews!

I have Logitech's 910 and 920 version of their HD cameras and this one compares to it. While their may be some minor differences in these 3 cameras, this C310 holds it's own for HD chats and video recordings. You will not be disappointed when using this camera, though for those vlogging and/or recording YouTube videos, I would recommend using an secondary microphone as this microphone that's built into the camera doesn't seem to be very good.

I like the webcam! The only downside was I couldn't get it to record sound (maybe because of my laptop), but no biggie, I have a microphone (and, for that matter, a microphone and headphones which I bought along with it!). I guess maybe other computers will have better luck getting the microphone inside the webcam to work right--I mean, every computer (desktop or laptop) is different. Anyway, if you are looking for a good webcam at a reasonable price, Logitech is a good buy.

I bought this camera because my older cameras were having problems with freeze-up or other driver issues under Ubuntu. This one worked right out of the box with Skype and guvcview. I also like the low profile on top of my monitor, although I might put a bit of velcro on there to secure it better.

If you want a basic webcam that is low-priced, easy to setup and use, then this is the one for you. All I did was plug it in to the USB port, position it on top of the computer monitor and go. It comes with some software, but I didn't even load it...not needed. The picture and sound quality it delivers is excellent. I checked it out on my wifes laptop using SKYPE from my desktop. So, unless you're putting home porno online, this inexpensive webcam works great.

The software is installed from the Logitech website. The first 2 times I installed the drivers they wouldn't work. On the 3rd attempt it worked fine and now the product is ideal. Very good HD camera, I'm currently working overseas and the camera is perfect for Skyping friends and family back home, much better than the webcam built into my laptop.

I had a Logitech camera before. Never once did it give up and stop working, it just got broken in transit and i needed another one for college. This webcam takes crystal clear pics. However, it is not a 12mp camera. Though for a 5mp digital camera, you cannot complain. The video in HD in 720 is great as well, records 720p video better than a lot of the other higher dollar webcams say they do. It's a great webcam, and it has either a monitor rest, or a sticky for those older CRT monitors. It also follows your face, which is a good feature if you're moving around and want to maintain focus on yourself for brief presentations among peers. I would highly recommend it. But as I mention everywhere else, do your research first. This is a great webcam, though it is NOT a video production replacement.This webcam is good for the sole purpose of posting YouTube videos of yourself and others involved. Or, talking to loved ones, and friends online. Thats about it. you're not going to film a documentary with it. You could try, though it wouldn't pan out as the more expensive production cameras would.

This little webcam is fabulous. It mounts easily on the screen and the image quality is very impressive. I teach online courses and it works perfectly as the camera and software offer the ability to track your face as you move. Even when I walk across the room to use the whiteboard! My last Logitech did the same type of tracking but not to the same level as this one. I would highly recommend this model.

In addition to setting up easily, picture quality and options make it convenient to use. This is the fourth Web Cam I've owned and by far is the best. The one improvement I would make is a better design or perhaps just instructions for attaching the unit to my lap top.

We wanted a webcam for occasional use - not big You tube folks, more Skype with family and friends faraway. This fits the bill nicely. You mostly see someone's face and that's all we need.We made sure it was one of the "official" webcams that will work with Mac so we checked this page.[...]although Logitech doesn't say it works with Mountain Lion, all you have todo is download the software Ver 2.20 from Logitech and it's a snap!

The images are very clear. The webcam arrived in a timely manner and it's very easy to set up. The only complaint is when I use the video, the speech is delayed by a couple seconds so for my personal project, I can't use it. In fact, I will have to upgrade to another webcam. It does the job if you are in need of an inexpensive but quality webcam.

I purchased this camera to use for Skype interviews. From the other reviews, I thought the image quality was very good, but was worried about the audio. Thankfully, the audio is fine for me- not muffled or unclear. This is my first webcam purchase, (I have a built in iSight with my Mac), and I am really pleased with the product. For the price especially, the change in quality over my existing software is enormous.

You plug it in and you're good to go.I didn't bother to install any of the software as Windows 7 has drivers that work with it out of the box.The video quality is excellent. The microphone is surprisingly good.The only downside is the mounting options. Look carefully at the picture of the webcam and at the dimensions, and try to figure out exactly where you will put it before you buy. It doesn't really fit my computer monitor (it's a flat LCD with bezels) and I had to rig something up to hold it to the top. Not a big deal, really, and I didn't take a star off because a manufacturer faces an impossible task to match every monitor ever made with their mounting hardware.

Works a treat! It has a weird little non-clip clip mechanism to hold itself onto the top of my computer--are they all this precarious? This is the only webcam I've ever used, so I don't have much to compare it to. You can't really pick up the computer and walk around with it, or the webcam will fall off.

After paying a good bit more for this than my old webcam I expected better. The image quality, although supposedly "HD" was worse than my previous 5 year old webcam. Washed out color is especially bad and poor clarity. The clamp also simply will not fasten tightly onto the screen top so the thing is occasionally flopping around. Other than that I suppose it works pretty well and the installation was fairly easy.

Had this up and running on my system within minutes with no problems at all. Easy software controls for zoom, pan, lighting, color, etc. Easy to attach and move on the monitor as well.Nothing bad to say about this webcam, especially for the great price!

I purchased this to go along with my Mac Mini. This is the first webcam that I've purchased because my iMacs and laptops have cameras built in. It's amazing how much better this camera is than the built-ins. It captures a lot more light which leads to a much better picture. The microphone on the webcam also picks up my voice very well. It fits nicely on my monitor and easily adjusts to the best angle.

The Logitech HD Webcam C310 is an excellent webcam. The picture quality is next to superb and with the built in microphone, you can create nice webcasts.Skype-ing is a new experience with this webcam as well. I've noticed some reviews complain about lagtime or choppy video quality. This has nothing to do with the webcam, but more about the processor speed and available Ram. If you want to get better video quality, consider adding an extra stick of memory in your computer, if applicable.I am very satisifed with this webcam and have been using for over a year now. It is very affordable for the quality you get.

It's a great little webcam for the money, just plug in and start using. Mic works well, stays in focus, clear picture, hard to ask for more for the price. I do wish the cord was a tad longer but that's more of a suggestions than a need. Either way, totally worth the money.

I was really impressed with this camera, I just upgrade from my Macbook to the MiniMac, so I didn't have a camera like in my laptop, but people who I skype every day told that the qual;ity is far superior than my Macbook camera. The only down side is that the microphone doesn't work, it has some incompatibility issues with my mini mac.

The webcam is smaller than I expected from the picture.Fits nicely on top of my flatscreen monitor. That is why I purchased. My old "eyeball" style camera was fine for a CRT, but not for a flatscreen.Picture and sound does what it is supposed to.

I'm just someone who doesn't like a fuzzy picture, and this cam is clearer than any I've ever seen. The software was easy to install, and all I have to do is plug it in and go.I can take high-quality photos too, and the mic is exceptional. I don't see why you would need anything better if all you do is chat with friends/family/etc.
