Husky has always been a good brand, and this mower is overall a quality product. Given that basically all riding mowers are about the same, you look for a little break in the price or a little edge in quality. Husky's price for this mower is not killer, but it is fair. The mower is not head and shoulder above the others, but the manufacturing details are done right.

Briggs/Stratton has always served me well, so I'm good with this engine. The 20 hp mill is a lot for just a 42" swatch, so I am powering through the mowing like I was never able to do with the Craftsman I replaced. Beware sharp turns at speed, though. The right side tends to dip and leave a trough on the outside of the cut.

Be aware that when this baby is delivered you will not be able to move it unless you have a pallet jack or similar. It comes in a huge wooden crate and the shebang weighs nearly 600 lb. Be sure the trucker puts it where you want it when he drops it. It will sit right where he leaves it until you can uncrate and move the mower on its own wheels.

The "not perfect" part. We all use the non-discharge side of a riding mower for closer mowing around things. They didn't know that when they designed this one. The throttle is prominently located upper left, right where passing brush can (and does) shut the thing down when you try to mow around and under bushes on that side. Ditto for the deck lever. Not only is it on the left side, but they made it actually stick out at an angle, just right to snag the guy cable on a power pole in my yard. Not good.

The deck is not easy to level, I found. I finally got it on the 3rd try. Measuring from the blade tips to the ground should be fool-proof, but I had to finesse it from there by dead reckoning. Just guessing about how much adjustment would fix the uneven cut I got until I finally guessed right.

With as many bad reviews I've seen on push mowers, I have to say that I love this one. I have sod out front and it's easy to put this at it's highest setting to mow the sod, and I seeded the back yard which I like to trim a bit lower, and the adjustment is easy. I initially did have a problem with the height roller breaking as many people have, but realized I could easily bury a screw in both sides to hold it in (better than when it was built actually) and I haven't had a problem since with my 5 minute power-drill quick fix.

This part fit perfectly and worked exactly as advertised. I wish that it had mentioned in the description that the self-tapping deck mounting bolts and blade-mounting bolt were included with the part (they are not shown in the photo). I wasted money ordering all of those bolts separately and then found that they came with the part, now I have some extra, very specialized bolts that I bought and have no use for. Otherwise the part is great.

Almost impossible to install the mulch cover. Either the rubber latch hooks are too short or the holes in the mulch cover are in the wrong places. The latch hooks match the to scale pictures. The drawing of the mulch cover shows the holes in very different places. Husqvana's website doesn't have any way to ask questions.

Великолепно

I really would give 10 stars if I could. Perfect match for my craftsman 54". When i consider the price for 3 of these versus the price of 1 of the factory replacement, they are about equal! These work great, are non-mulching which is what I was needing.

Saved me a badly damaged leg as a tree I fell hung up and as I cut pieces off the bottom it came down in such a manner it jammed my running saw into the top of my thigh. The Kevlar inside stopped the saw immediately.

The mowing deck spindle was the prefect replacement the a spindle thst failed. It fit correctly, was the correct length, and all the bolt holes aligned perfectly.

Mounting the hatch was nearly impossible. I ended up using a bungee. Directions on how to mount would have been nice as well. The gator blades themselves are horrible. Now matter how perfectly level the deck was, I could never get an even cut. I ended up removing the blades and picked up regular mulching blades. The cut is now perfect.

I bought this for a Craftsman DGS 6500 mower with a 54 inch deck. It fit and saved me a good deal of money. The local mower parts store wanted $53 after tax for this belt. If you have a DGS 6500 mower Model number 917. 287460 this belt should fit.

The blades are stamped "MEXICO". They seem to work fine, but the description clearly states "Made In USA". Rather than hassle with returning them, I have installed and used them with no problems thus far. Fit and finish are acceptable. I cannot speak to the integrity of the metal, as they have only been installed and used for a short time.

This belt was pretty hard to get on. It could easily been 1" longer to work on the 54" deck. I finally got it on after taking the tension-er off and reinstalling after forcing the belt on to the pulleys. It works but not for the beginner repair person.

Giant piece of JUNK! We purchased this mower 3 months ago and it is already broken. Husqvarna said that the warranty doesn't cover the junk motor and we have to contact Briggs & Stratton for repair. What a JOKE! BEWARRE!!!

I just received these safety chaps listed as 531309564 and, as noted by others, they look different from the picture. In fact, they look like the chaps that cost $5 more: 531309565. But the tag on the chaps shows the number to be 521897801. Well, they appear to be of good quality, perhaps heavier than advertised. So, what the heck. The price is right. Unless the safety protection has been compromised (which is not apparent) I won't complain.

I had a Husqvarna mower for less than a year before it blew up. Unlike this one, it had a Kohler engine - terrible engines to begin with - and I see Husqvarna has now switched to Hondas and Briggs & Stratton, maybe learning their lesson. Anyway, originally my mower wouldn't start this year so I called Husqvarna and they told me to take it to their repair center. After a couple weeks (and $82), I got it back, but it still wouldn't start (electrically), I had to manually pull it and after about 10 cranks, it finally came to life. I then mowed about 1/3 acre before the engine blew. I call Husqvarna again and now they tell me I have to call Kohler, which I do and I now have to take it to their repair shop. After the repair shop fights with Kohler over it being a warranty repair, Kohler refuses, saying the engine blew because of "low oil", which it clearly did not. My summation is that there was a problem with the fuel system which the first repair shop "corrected" by making the mixture leaner, which is what blew up the engine, not low oil. I could start the engine with ether before I originally brought it in, it just wouldn't stay running. Long story short, I've gotten nothing but the run around from both Husqvarna and Kohler - as far as I'm concerned it's a Husqvarna problem - and have been unable to find any individuals at either company who gives a damn or is worth talking to. At this point, over 2 months later, I have no mower. I also have a Husqvarna chainsaw that falls apart after about 15 minutes of use. I'll never own another Husqvarna product.

I ordered blades for my 54 inch Ariens mower. They did not supply info on different types of blades. They indicated to me that I should have called them before ordering these blades.I had not replaced blades on my mower before and did not know that
the blades were a high lift type of blade. If different types of blades were available, it should have been explained. So they will
give me a refund if I will pay the postage to send them back to them. I will just use it for a lesson on who to not order from.

This was the exact match to the OEM for this Craftman's 54" deck mowing deck. I received it within 7 days and had no issues at all with the installation. Saved me more the 50% over the Craftman part. Will not hesitate to use this supplier again. This part must be routinely greased for it to last.

Used this spindle on my craftsman lawn tractor and was a perfect fit (***make sure you use the spacer that goes between the pulley and spindle! use the old spacer if you don't get a new one with this assembly. Probably put 30 hrs or so on the spindle with no problem.

I ordered this to replace the spindle on my Poulan Pro 54" Lawn Tractor. It is a well-made replacement and fit the deck just fine. However, it did not have the "key" made on the spindle top where the pulley matches to securely drive the unit/blade. Without the fitting (like it's pictured) it can't be used-the pulley would simply spin free and not engage the spindle. I'm disappointed that I had to buy the part at a local farm supply store and paid nearly double! Sure wish it had been as pictured.

These blades are thicker and seam more heavy duty than the standard blade that came with my Craftsman GT6000 54" lawn mower. After some replacing the blades and a tune up, my riding lawn mower is running like a champ.

Great blades that stay sharp all summer! We bought a second set, so we can sharpen one while we use the other. Last year was a tough one on our blades, with the newly-cleared property. But they'll be ready to go again by next growing season!

This is the only Blade that is made correctly. The lift tab has a radius for the start of the bend, not a sharp corner. This makes for a long lasting blade

This is a complete mandrel spindle for my Dixon 54" mower deck, including all mounting hardware. Installed in minutes (to mower deck and attach blade to spindle). Quality seemed fine, and so far main spindle is working like it is supposed to, however, the grease fitting came out while I was mowing. There is no way I will be able to find it in 2 acres of thick grass. Don't know how long it will take to get a new one now.

the device installed easy and had all the required bolts necessary for the install. This was important since the order: shell is made from a different material then the bolts and the bolts on the original unit had frozen in due to corrosion between the two metals. I thought I would have trouble finding matching bolts. However, this unit game complete and I was very satisfied.

This is not a good lawn mower. It is too light. The wheels are too small. The blades often get clogged with grass. I would not recommmend this product.

Paid way too much for it, 1,899. I wish I would have shopped the local stores first. I would have chose the pedal transmission, but the engine is great and the double blade deck cuts well and straight once adjusted. Seat is very comfortable and it steers very well.

I have almost 1 acre of Thick St. Augustine grass and this mower has been a champ. No mechanical issues and makes lawn work a quick job. Definitely recommend and also get the twin bag grass clipping accessories.

I ordered belt for my 54" mower deck and it was suppose to fit my craftsman garden tractor. The belt was short.
I measured the old belt and it was 145". The one I received was much smaller.
I already installed it and damaged it in the process, so I can't return it. I am very much displeased with this transaction.
I will have to find a belt supply and get a measured one.

Received the style as shown, fit my Craftsman 54" gt5000. Seem to be beefy enough, hoping they stand up better than the stock blades. Certainly are better priced than the replacement blades through Sears!

The Husqvarna 54 inch mulching kit arrived sooner than promised. It had instruction that were easy to follow and works as well as can be expected on a poorly designed RZ5426 mower. The kit was made by Husqvarna.
