Великолепно
I liked my old HP Scanjet 4400 right up to where it wouldn't power up. Hated to see it go until I received the G3110. Way nicer scanner and much easier to use. Hook it up in 30 seconds and start using it. Many more capabilities. Love it!

Do not buy this if you want to use the document feeder with any regularity. I need to run around 200 pages a day through the feeder, it says that it will do 50 at a time. I have found that 30 is more like it, anything over that and it jams. Also if you are not scanning new flat perfect paper it jams constantly. Not to mention when it jams I have to walk back to my computer to click ok before resuming the scan all over again(which is pretty frustrating when it takes 20 mins to scan 50 sheets and it jams on the last one). So in conclusion buy a better scanner.

Scanner arrived without setup instruction, hard copy manual and was DOA. The ADF appeared to draw in a document, but once it was delivered to the tray an error notice of a jamb was delivered. We attempted to flatbed scan a document and the scanner locked up 1/2 inch into the scan. Executed all HP trouble shooting methods to no avail. Contacted HP and they advise us to return it. Not sure if my undying loyalty to HP is smart any longer.

Was not able to use it with any computer I had at home. Ended up giving it away to a friend who had an obsolete computer it would work with.

The software did not work on my Windows 7 computer (2 gB storage, 12 gB ram, Intel i3 processor). HP Product support concluded it was a hardware problem, so I sent it back. The new one had the same problem. After 3 hours on the phone and allowing HP technicians to take over my computer and download heaven knows what, they could not make it work & gave up. It works on a (very old) computer running Windows XP, BUT NOT ON WINDOWS 7. To my way of thinking this is INTOLERABLE.

old as dirt but it works and gets the job done. the automatic feeder does jam a bit and requires some lube.

My company purchased this for a satellite office. The installation software is bugged to all hell. Had to install each application manually through command line (HP's recommended steps). I've never seen or used such a poorly designed and documented device. For the same amount of money you could get a used Xerox machine that does everything and more and will meet and exceed your needs. This scanner is barely a simple scanner with a network port.If you must get this, be warned that you can only use this device on the same subnet as your users (to wit, are limited to 20). There is no way around this and HP has confirmed it.

You have been warned...do not buy this scanner!It dates back to the Windows XP days, and HP has never updated their software. You might be able to get it to work in Windows 7 in XPMode, but good luck!Even under WinXP, the USB communication was always flaky.Scan quality is good. If you can buy one for $20 at a garage sale, then it might be worth it.

I had to replace my perfectly good Canon because they were too cheap to write drivers for Windows 7. This HP is a great value for routine copy work and print scans. However, the ability to work with film transparencies is nill. No matter how I tried using the carrier, the scans were no good.

Delivery was fast. Scanner works as advertised. The ability to scan up to 16 slides at one time is great. We use this feature a lot converting customer slides to DVD. Signs of Excellence, Murrysville, PA.

The G3110 scanner software is reasonably easy to install. It is also reasonably easy to control the file size of the scan. It does not automatically defalt to a multi-megabite file size. Low resolution scanning of pictures shows a good quality result.

This product exceeds any expectations and leaves the competition in the dust. I would recommend this scanner to anyone in the field with a laptop who need to scan photos on the fly. Absolutely great product.

If I had a dollar for every time this thing gave me a scan of the platen cover instead of the document in the feeder, it would have paid for itself by now. And it's not a cheap unit.Trying to get it to scan what you want in the way you want it is an amazing time sink. Forget just feeding a stack of documents. You have to scan it page by page. But not from the scanner. You have to tell it to scan from your PC, and walk back to the scanner to change each page, one by one.I don't know why I don't take this thing out back and smash it. It would cost me less to buy a proper scanner than I lose in productivity trying to make this thing do its job.

What I have to say applies to this scanner's use with Macintosh computers only.First off, the G3110 scanner works with Snow Leopard (Mac OS 10.6), but you must be sure and use the latest installation package. This may not be what is on the installation disc which comes with the scanner out of the box. Check to see what is printed on the disc. If it does not list Mac OS 10.6, you will need to download the latest installation package from the HP website at:[...]This comes as a standard DMG package, and is easy to install.Be aware that the ScanJet G3110 scanner is a stand-alone model (as opposed to an all-in-one printer/scanner/fax combination models). This means that you will need to use the "HP Scan" application (which gets installed with the above DMG package) to use the scanner. This is because, at the time I'm writing this review, Snow Leopard's built-in scanner support (which is part of the "Preview" and "Image Capture" applications) only works with the all-in-one models. So, use HP Scan instead.That said, I've been using the G3110 for several days now without any problems. Good luck!

I've had this unit for a while now and I use it daily. My main use is to scan one or two work orders at a time for clients. For this purpose, the unit works great. Since I don't need presentation quality, I find the scans to be just fine, regardless of the quality level I set it to. I cannot comment on the software as I just use this to scan as a pdf. The one major issue, as mentioned in other reviews, is that it pulls multiple sheets of paper at once. If you have a large set of documents, you better be prepared to babysit this machine while it scans them in or you may find missing pages. So if you need to scan a few documents at a time, this is great, otherwise, you may want to research other units.

This scanner is great. You can scan all the pages of your document together, whereas other scanners you have to scan each page seperately.

I purchased this for around $100. It is a decent scanner for the price but has some issues:1. It is true that the software is VERY DIFFICULT to use (especially if you have never used HP Scanning Software). It does not come with a paper instructional manual and the digital version is not very helpful. I learned how to use it by trial and error.2. Install the software and then run "HP Solution Center" from the Start Menu. Then click on scan document, scan picture, etc. ("HP Solution Center" should be renamed "HP Scan Center" because it has nothing to do with solutions. It is the program you run to scan documents, pictures, etc.)3. Sometimes #2 doesn't work, in which case, it is better to just push the one-button scan key on the scanner which should launch the scan.4. It is very slow. I did not find useful in scanning more than a few pages because it takes so long. As a counter, the image resolution can be set fairly high (1200 x 1200).5. Also note, you have to purchase Adobe creator separately if you want to create PDF documents.Overall, for its price, you get decent, albeit slow, scanner--good if you use your scanner occasionally.

I have no idea what the other reviewers that give lower grade on this scanner and to what are they speaking about, or they are speaking of? The scanner works great and gives excellent scans of pictures and documents. Sometimes, when you install it in Windows Vista or Windows XP, the software might not work the same as if for Windows 7. This goes with other scanners and printers as well. I have owned HP products for a while now and years now. And I love them.

Even though the specs on this scanner sound pretty good, for some reason the scans come out looking like spit. Absolutely horrible. The only reason I gave 2 stars is b/c the price was pretty low on it.

I have almost 2000 mounted slides from the 60-70's and wanted a fast scanner to download them into my laptop. I can do 16 slides per scan which takes about 5 minutes to finalize. It is the fastest one I found after research for the price (just under $200). quality of the images is very good.

I know I will take a load of criticism for this post but I am irritated. I have been been an American citizen for 64 years and have spoken English for nearly as many years. When I look at a product on Amazon I expect the stupid specifications to be provided in ENGLISH! This is not the first item description I have seen in French or Spanish with no English backup. The site will probably be changed by the time some of you see this but this provides more emphasis on our social problems.Good Lord!

I wanted an inexpensive scanner to create PDF Files. this one does the job. It worked just fine with Windows Vista but I had to download a driver to get it to work with Windows 7. It worked the first time I used it and then after that I had to reinstall the driver again to get it to work again. Vista is fine though.
