This is a superb machine for conversion of 35mm slides (or negatives) to digital format. My only complaint is that many of my slides are 120 film type and it takes a bit of adjusting to get this film converted. I was surprised that this sort of high end film format would not be addressed in a high end converter like this one. It also does print beautifully.

I had a HP scanner which ceased to work with Mac Snow Leopard upgrade. HP wouldn't do the software fix. The reviews I read indicated that this scanner was excellent. I have not been disappointed. It works easier than the HP and makes much better scans. I'm really pleased.

I have scanned over 600 of my old Kodachrome and Kodacolor slides from the early 1980's, with the Epson V600 scanner. It is easy to use and scanning 4 slides into photoshop at 1200 dpi, which I find gives me excellent results for normal slides, takes less than 5 minutes for 4 slides. Photoshop gives me all the color correction I need. For the money I paid through Amazon, I beleive it is a excellent scanner. I strongly recommend it.

Nice scanner. Was easy to set up on Windows Vista. basically starts up right out of the box. Used it to scan 30-40 year old pictures. Fantastic results!

My older Epson Scanner worked well with my XP OS; however it would not function with Windows 7, hence my need to secure a new scanner. The v600 Model has more features than my old scanner and simply does an outstanding job, even if it is as good bit more expensive.

Overall it is a very good product. It's taken a great deal of trial and error to figure the best scan settings for negatives. It great for photos and slides.

Великолепно
This is the real deal! Very simple to use and produces great quality scans. Easy to set up and I love the 1-touch button to scan. Only thing that is a bummer (as is case with all electronis these days) is the lack of a printed user guide in case you want to quickly look something up. it is a pain to download the manual and try to read it on ine... Other than that, this is a GREAT BUY!!!

I ordered this scanner last Monday evening. It was shipped Tuesday and I received it Wednesday afternoon using Super Saver shipping. That alone rates a 5. I am using Mandriva Linux 2009.0 and was afraid of compatibility. However I installed the Iscan and Iscan plug-in rpm's from AVASYS and was able to scan using XSane and Gimp. This scanner may rate a 5. However, as an average user it will take me a lot of trial and error before I master it's full capabilities. I am extremely satisfied with the performance to date.

Love the fact it autoscans without having to select and crop each neg. Only downfall so far is if you try to scan b&w with ice on the image is all blurry and unusable. Now that I have figured this out I still like this scanner for scanning my old collection of negatives. Also I had to manually install the software on windows 7 64bit.
