I purchased this product this week! First, I sold my SX40...I will miss it...but I had to have the SX50. I must admit that I now believe this is a perfect camera not just because of the 50x zoom but the raw file capability. It has been fun roaming the house looking for the perfect shot...tomorrow I take it on vacation. I also own the G12! and I have no desire to upgrade to the G15...what happened to the swivel screen?

This camera is easy to use and takes super sharp images. I love the zoom and I love the quality. Canon rocks!! :)

I say appears because I haven't used it a lot so far. However, the zoom is phenomenal. The pictures are sharp. And it's easy to use.

This camera coupled with Canon 520 flash, I shot a newspaper from 50 ft away and still could read the small print very clearly. Awesome!!!

The zoom is really amazing, highlights the image stability, good improvements with respect to the SX40,the size and weight are ideal
