I am absolutely happy after buying this product. I was planning to buy this product for long time as I did lot of research before buying this one.
I already own Panasonic FZ30 and Canon A610. I wanted one more camera to gift to my brother. It is best point shoot camera and with lot of features.
I would definitly recommend others to buy( now A630 is there in the market).
I wanted a black color but I think only silver is available
I also recently bought Canon S3 IS which is also very good.

It stopped working after 15 days. Since I was on travel in different country I happend to pay around 50$ to get it repaired.

I have only had the camera a short time and haven't used many of the features but it is easy to use and the pictures are beautiful. One important thing I must add is that I lost the CD that came with the camera that is needed to download the pictures to my computer and I contacted Canon via email. I received a response the same day and received another CD via expedited shipping from Canon within 3 days at no charge. I am SO impressed with their customer service that I will never buy from anyone else again.

Amazing. 7.1 megapixel camera from Canon for just a hair over $200 - including shipping. It works great. Has lots of features. Many different options for photo quality. Also, the video mode is much better than my HP digital camera. It shoots just over 8 minutes/gigabyte. Three other modes sacifice quality but give longer shooting time. Includes a cord to plug into pc and one to plug into front of vcr to view video and photos on your tv. Software is user friendly and helps organize photos. Also includes a function where it automatically converts large photos to 600X800 pixes for email. I get tired of resizing photos that I want to email. The flip screen is great for holding the camera high or low and still be able to see where it's pointing. Thanks Canon and Amazon.

This is perfect novice camera. It is not too complex, but puts out a quality product. I am having lots of fun with it. Canons are good cameras... this is a great model for the money.

Takes a beautiful picture. But, that being said it is definitely not user friendly. The instruction manuel is too complicated and every time you take any action you have to go to the menue button to try to figure out what to do. There is nothing simple about this camera. Also, the LCD eats the batteries up in a hurry.

Camera is user friendly and pictures, to date have been very clear. Also purchase of mem card from one shot was easy and effecient.
I am new to digital camera use and I found the directions easy to follow.
Price was better than same camera advertised in our local stores.

I purchased the Canon Powershot A620 based on it being rated #1 in its category by Consumer Reports. After researching price and comparing to other options, I found what I considered optimal value on Amazon. The camera was a birthday present for my wife, who uses it ALL THE TIME, and loves it. I occassionally use it as well, even though I am a SLR "snob". I like the ease of use and the solid selection of features. The high resolution adds to the relevance of the camera, and hopefully will allow the camera to hold its relevance. The only complaint my wife has is that the camera does not have enough zoom, but that was a known going into the camera and a small sacrifice for the other very solid aspects of the camera. I would recommend this camera to anyone who would value my opinion.

The originial batteries that came lasted for 3-4 hours. When I replaced with Duracell plus alkaline batteries it immideately showed low battery. Same thing happened when I put in another new set of batteries. In my trip I could barely take pictures cos it sucked up all the batteries immediately.I might have to return it.

Really brilliant camera - we especially like the flip screen. My daughter has used it since August and has had no problems. She finds the programmes simple to use and there are plenty of options to keep her amused. She highly recommends this camera.

We brought this camera to Disney World with us and we are extremely happy with the photos - in the dark or daylight - inside or outside - Christmas lights - moving animals - all our pictures came out great. We were so satisfied with it, we bought another one as a gift for our daughter.

I love this camera! I know that some may think it is not as good as other more expensive cameras, but it is my first digital camera and it is all I could hope for. It is easy to use and has nice features like different settings for the beach, snow, indoors, kids and pets, night, fireworks, etc. Good price too.

I recently purchased the Canon Powershot A620 camera. I decided on this camera, because my boyfriend has the A610, and it's also a great camera. This one happened to be the same price as the A610, and I could enlarge my photos more so I could use them on the walls of my apartment.
I love all the features this camera offers. I have no photography training, but I can now take "art" shots. I took the camera hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, and got some awesome shots. I took the same shot several times with different "filters", and the pictures were amazing! I'm really not a talented photographer.
I would recommend purchasing this camera, as I really enjoy it. It's not a tiny camera, but it fits in my purse, so I can carry it around with me. I would also recommend getting a larger memory card.

I love my power shot A 540. It take great pictures and allows you to go all the way to full manual to experiment. It does make some red eyes but all of them do. Just remove the red eyes with their software or photoshop. You will be pleased with the picture quality.

It came in reasonable time, I like the camera, it's got some nice features, I am still playing with it to figure things out, a little bit hard for me to use but this is my first digital camera to own, it's a little bigger than i thought but is a good camera.

this is a terrific first digital camera because it has the basics and opportunities to be a bit more creative as a photographer. I've used it for everything from family candids to portraits to action shots and it has been terrific! I would recommend this to others.

After hearing that Consumer Reports gave the Canon A520 a BEST BUY rating, I decided this must be a good family of cameras. It has been a joy to own and use. Easy to take pictures, easy to work and yes, it takes great pictures. It has more bells on it than I will ever use. I have been very satisfied with 4 and 5 MP cameras and have not wanted to spend a fortune for more. I just need to take pictures, review them and easily download to my computer. This does that and much, much more.

I was very pleased with how easy it was to use this digital camera in addition to the versatility and features that were included. The pictures we have taken look clean, sharp and clear. The colors interpreted by the camera have been quite accurate so far. We choose to purchase this camera after researching and comparing it to many others DC's in the same price range. It has also recently been rated highly by Consumer Reports buying guide.

The A620 is an excellent value for the price. This is my fourth digital camera and I strongly recommend it. The camera takes outstanding photos, sports a high resolution of 7.1 MP (great for cropping and/or printing 8X10 photos), is relatively small and lightweight and provides both fully automatic and manual modes. The A620 uses 4 AA alcaline batteries. Battery life is excellent, however, I would recommend purchasing rechargable batteries as this will save you money in the long run. Also, get ready to buy another SD memory card as the 32mb one provided with the camera will only hold about 9 pictures when camera is set to the highest resolution mode.
Great camera for the beginner and advanced user. Yes, you can buy a better more capable digital camera, but you will pay much more. This camera fills an important gap between basic entry level cameras and more advanced ones at a price that is fantastic.

This is a wonderful camera if you are looking for something that isn't too awfully bulky. It takes great, clear photos for a smaller camera. It was slightly confusing at first trying to figure everything out but all fell into place quickly. I would highly recommend this camera!!

The price is right, it has lots of features and a strong review from Consumer Reports.
Unfortunately I bought this camera before a mountain trekking trip and it did a poor job shooting severe light contrast. In other words, pretty much any scene with snow either washes out on the bright end, or underexposes dark objects in the frame (people, landscape, etc.).
Get this camera if you're going to use it for indoor shooting, normal outside lighting conditions, etc.

This case is ideal to protect your A700 in. There's just enough room to keep spare memory cards and the front pocket can stash four AA batteries. The case seems to be well finished and the overall quality is very good.

A good little camera for a reasonable price. It's small enough for the pocket but large enough to be held comfortably. No stylus needed to navigate things like the tiny cameras out now. Good pics, decent video, and easy to use. I'd buy it again.
