I didn't even get a chance to test the photos this camera took when I discovered that the one I had has a tendancy to record the sound of the camera itself when making a movie. It would record the moving parts within the camera, so you get this weird clicking sound on top of all the static one normally gets...for me this was a bit too annoying. It is also a tad slow when using flash....but as a start up camera, for someone with larger hands, it should suffice....so I had to return mine. Hopefully the replacement I get doesnt do this....

I've owned this camera since July and after shooting a good few gigabytes worth of photos, I can safely say that the quality of pictures and the features are outstanding! The camera is well built and it even survived a drop from waist height (be careful that you've closed your camera pouch properly!) When you want to take some quick snaps, the program mode is fine and if you want to develop your creativity, there is a lot of scope for adjusting exposure settings. The flip out screen gives you the opportunity for some unusual angles and 7MP allows for some fairly heavy cropping. All in all I'm very happy with the A620 and also Amazon's service!

I won't mention any specs or camera features since Amazon already lists them; instead I'll just give my impression of the camera. At first glance the camera seemed a bit flimsy being made of plastic and the battery compartment being a tiny, tiny bit loose when closed, but I have to say despite that flaw, the camera is a great buy for the price. The pictures are very clear, the camera is very portable, although it is a bit thick, and the fact that it uses 2x AA batteries makes it much better than my former camera which uses a proprietary battery. I bought some rechargeable AA batteries and I'm good to go! It does only come with a 15Meg SD card, which I replaced with a 2Gig SD card I got for around $40 and now I have no worries about running out of space.
Overall, it is a great buy and does what a good camera should - take good pictures!

This camera is perfect for you - unless you want bulk, proprietary batteries, complicated operation. This little gem uses AA batteries, and has an AUTO setting that seems to work every time! If you feel the need to do your own settings, there are lots of options. (I can't comment on these, because it works so well on AUTO).

This camera is really great - especially for the price. I upgraded from a Kodak easyshare and it has better low light capability, optical zoom, etc. also love the big lcd screen.
My only complaint is that the menu functions are pretty complicated to use - I think more than they have to be.

This camera is one of the cheapest and it works great. I liked the rounded edge, gives you something to grip not like the flat cameras. The picture quality is great and it even takes video. there are different options so you can really be creative. I would highly recomend this camera. I even bought 2 for my adult children.

I have purchased 2 520's and 2 530's for my kids and inlaws. They are great little cameras - no problems with any of them, the picture quality is very good, and my 10 year old can use it. I have had battery life issues with the NiMH batteries I use in them - I am not sure if it is the camera draining them quickly or the battery quality.

It's nice to see a product you have used before, on Amazon for half the price of other stores locally or web. I was sceptical of such a great deal at first but after receiving the product in question I have been very happy! This is basically the same battery which came with my camera initially.

I opened the box about an hour ago, and have been snapping flashes in people's eyes since. This is a superb camera, from my point of view. I haven't had many digital cameras, but have used my fair
share of them at graduations, parties, and other family events. This is by far my favorite of all the cameras I have used.
I love the quality of images, and feel of the camera.
Though it is a little more bulky than I barganed for, it isn't a, "Go put on a backpack to lug this thing around with."
The zoom is great, and so are the modes. I love macro, it's wonderful to use.
Movie capturing is good, although the speaker is nothing to write home about. Hard to hear from the camera, but on a computer, it's clear.
The only complaint I have is that the door to all the ports is very flimsy, so be careful when importing pictures.
I would suggest purchasing a larger memory card, because the one you get holds 15 pictures on fine quality (medium)
All in all, this is an excellent camera, and I would recomend it to anyone.

This camera is easy to use with automatic exposure settings as well as manual for loads of creative image creation. The LCD screen either flips out or folds flat against the camera. The point and shoot novice will enjoy this as well as the intermediate to advanced photographer. I highly recommend it.

I have had the camera for over a month and have had no problems. Takes great pictures and easy to use. I would recommend this camera to anyone. I also like the large 2.5 digital display.

For the money this camera would be difficult to beat. There are things such as unable to see the shutter speed and apature when taking the picture, but for the most part, this is a dandy little camera. I have yet to print my photos, but expect they will be OK. Very handy size makes it a camera to always have around.

I really like this camera. It has many features of my larger and bulkier digital SLR. I like the stitching mode. The picture quality is very good. Night shots at low light performance is admirable. It is not exactly a "slim" type camera but does fit into your pocket. It servs well as camera for the starter (my wife) in the "auto" mode, or for the more experienced in the sp, or ap mode. The details in 11 by 8 prints are excellent. I am very happy with this buy.

If you are looking for a really good digital camera (not profesional, but ideal for afficionate), this is your best choice.

The Canon Power Shot A630 is a fantastic camera. Easy to use, and excelent shotss are not difficult to get. I had, however, a bad luck with the new feature (the turnable LCD display). It was open while the camera felt down, and it was broken in miliseconds! So be careful while handling it... :-)

I am using the camera as a point and shoot right now, until I have a chance to really look at more advanced settings. (I know they're possible). One thing I find hard to get used to is that you have to flip the switch off of camera in order to display the photos in memory and delete them.

This camera is the first digital for me, and the only camera I have ever enjoyed having. The macro setting gives amazing closeups of bugs, flowers, etc. With the purchase of a charger and some batteries, I've kept it going for almost nothing. Better get a big memory card, too. The silly settings like "color swap" and "fireworks" are fun to play with. My only complaint is it is slow to recover between shots, so you miss some action of kids, etc. For the price, it can't be beat.

I haven't learned everything about this camera but so far it is great. Very user friendly and quick response. The memory chip it came with was useless (holds only a few pictures) You'll have to factor in the extra cost for a bigger memory chip and rechargable AA batteries.

I got this today for my birthday. It was way more than what I expected.The flip out screen is really cool. I did not expect something so nice. The pictures are crystal clear.

A wonderful and affordable housing to take your camera places you normally can't! I took my Canon S80 down to 110 feet and got wonderful photos! My only advice to scuba divers is to buy an external strobe and bracket. The flash on a point-and-shoot camera is not powerful enough to give you the colorful photos you really want.

A good compact case, which provides main camera storage where the A700 fits neatly and does not slosh around as a general case from a retailer may. Store your memory card and extra batteries in the extra compartment and interior net section.
I have a larger bag for additional lenses, tripod, etc. However this case is just the right size for days out. Either carry it by hand or use the shoulder strap provided.
Go for Canon products, customer made and of high quality.

I've had this camera for about 4 months. It takes great pictures and has more than enough "bells and whistles" for the average point and shoot photographer (me). The only "bad thing" about it is operation is not intuitive, other than the on/off switch and zoom. You'll have to get into the manual to learn the functions.
