It would be great if it wasn't for the batteries it needs. I will end up spending more money on batteries each week. I took 4 pictures the first day ingot it and the battery died. Spend alittle more on another camera, you would end up spending it on batteries anyway. I returned it, not worth it. Terrible product

This camera takes fantastic pictures but eats batteries like crazy! It is easy to use and bigger than the smaller cameras. Be sure and take millions of extra batteries, this camera uses more batteries than your ordinary camera.

Was very pleased with this camera,still learning the many functions it has,macro,aperture settings ect. The zoom clarity is amazing,and I would recommend the camera to anyone. Tuna Vic

For users like parents or someone not too much into photography but looking for good picture quality, this is the camera. I own S95 also which is multi-functional compared to this, but this is a good accessory to have in your kitty.

It's responsive enough, has a bright flash, makes great videos, good software... what's not to love?I see people have reviewed this camera poorly; saying it's a battery eater... they're crazy... who doesn't use rechargeable batteries these days?For the price this is a great deal.

My girlfriend has this same camera model. My only complaint about mine is that the texture of the camera body is rough, unlike hers, which is smooth. It's just slightly less pleasant to touch.

I purchased this as a Valentine's Day gift for my husband. He's delighted with the camera. It has features that allow both "out of the box" usage and flexibility for more experienced / adventurous photographers. It's got big capabilities in a small, easy to bring along package.

I bought this to replace my Canon A640 that fell and broke the battery cover.Pro: Good quality photos and easy to use.Cons: It drains batteries like crazy, I went on a trip and I was very upset because I could not finish some good shots, camera died in the middle of them), Bad grip, you have to keep it strapped to your wrist because it will fall, very awkward one hand maneuvering.Amazon should take this camera out, it is not good for business.Canon carry other wonderful cameras,

The auto focus is slow, and the camera can't keep the settings steady. I use for work, and it's just too slow for the jobs I need it for. I will be selling and finding something else that is light, and a faster focus adjust.

It actually takes great pictures weather it be in full sun or low light conditions and I love the zoom feature. With the flash on it takes about 6-8 seconds between shots which I find very slow and it really drains the batteries after roughly 30 pics taken, even with lithium batteries.This was a replacement of my Canon Powershot A610 that finally died after 7 yrs which held 4 AA batteries, this camera only holds 2 AA's. If you plan to get this camera pack lots of AA batteries. I plan to keep the camera although I'm not happy with its performance when taking multiple shots with the flash on and supplement it with a better performing model.

I purchased this camera to use for family gatherings as well as concerts. It takes great pictures at concerts. The price is very reasonable with all of the features and 12x zoom.

I purchased it as a gift for my brother. He has not received it yet, but I already tried it when I received it to make sure it is not defected. I like it, I always owned Canon digital cameras, they are the best.I just wished that the batteries are not AA, i like those you can charge.

Photo does not take right away, I have tried messing with the shutter speed but cant get it faster. I like the quality of the photos they all look great.

Been playing with this camera a lot and really like the features. In particular I like to take photos at night while i'm camping and the manual controls are a must. The effects like fish eye and so fourth are also really cool and fun to play with. My complaints are that in low light it won't auto focus unless you shine a light to illuminate the subject first. The battery life is lousy just like the reviews say. I turned down the LCD and turned off all the features I thought could save power. I got at least 50 photos or more with no flash and a few minutes of video. When it does video is when the batteries really go fast. Not a big deal, I'll get some eneloop batteries. Nice to have the option of AA for emergency and you can use the rechargeable batteries in other devices like flashlights, unlike cameras with special batteries. Only bummer is I found this same camera local at Fry's Electronics for 99 bucks! Even with tax would have saved about 50 dollars and that is a lot of batteries! That price is way lower then any other brick and mortar around here. Too bad they were out of stock on them or I would of returned this one to amazon and got it at fry's. Oh well..... I really wanted a SLR but just don't have the money for something that is for camping, hunting, and fishing. This is the right price to beat up in the field. Plus SLR are so big and heavy it would end up staying in my truck.

Does not have battery pack, burns through batteries a lot, is not good, does not do well with rechargeable too.

I was really happy with this camera. Great zoom, features, etc. It really worked great. But after about 4 months of owning it, it suddenly just shut down, saying it needed new batteries. When I replaced the batteries, it still said it needed new batteries. I'm in the process of sending the camera into Canon for repair since it's still under the limited warranty, so we'll have to see how it works once I get it back. So far, however, I'm disappointed.
