Can't rave more about these headphones. The sound quality, especially base during movies such as The Hobbit, exceeds my expectations. Great for watching late-night movies without disturbing anyone yet still having a theatre quality experience.
The noise cancellation blocks out the sounds of my home hvac unit so I can watch movies and still keep cool/warm.
NOTE: It does tend to go quickly through the AAA battery that is required for the noise cancelation. Be sure to have a spare battery in the wonderfully durable case that comes with it.

Hands down the best noise-cancelling headphones on the market today. I tried several side by side and these easily beat out Beats and the other top names around. Super comfortable for long flights. Keeps the crying babies or annoying chatterbox fliers blocked out. The sound of these for music or movies is stellar! You will not be disappointed!

If one buys these headphones, do it for noise cancellation. At that task, they do a good job. Otherwise, the headphones are mediocre when it comes to music or video sound tracks. I have pair of $100 Logitech Bluetooth headphones that sound better than these $300 gilded lilies. The Bose 25's don't have much dynamic range, and the highs are just not there. And no, my Logitechs aren't put together as nicely as the Bose are, but I've had them for 3 years, banging around in my laptop case, my desktop, occasional drops to office floor and everywhere else and they still work fine.
Others mileage (and hearing) may vary, but in my opinion, Bose isn't worth the price. Me thinks that lofty price is mostly to pay for marketing and advertising. Fine, but where's the beef?
And we don't even get Bluetooth with the Bose 25's. What is that??? More wiring to screw with.

Wow. I'm sold. For airplane flights, I can't imagine NOT having these. They did give me a headache after 10 hours of straight use, but I don't hold that against them. These headphones are tremendous.

This is a life saver. If you are sensitive to noise like myself, you really should consider getting one. I don't like getting disturbed by noise outside whenever I watch or listen to something through my headphones. Even something like fan or air conditioner noise can disturb me. This really blocks a loud fan and air conditioner noise, and most ambient noise outside my room. As for blocking such noise, it works and feels better than earplugs that are rated with ~30 NRR. Trust me, this will solve many problems associated with noise among college or other roommates. This is one of the best purchases in my life.

Well worth the money. I got these to drown out the constant background noise of cars driving by and random noises within the house. Whether listening to music or just relaxing in peace, these headphones do the job. I also appreciate the relative compact size of these as they are not bulky but fit well around the ears. I could also lie down comfortably with these on. Great product and I recommend it to all who are looking for a noise-cancelling headphone and don't mind spending a little extra on them.

I'm just in love with these headphones. Even without the noise cancellation on (you can still use them without batteries w/o noise cancellation), but with it on--amazing. You can block out the world. It's incredibly relaxing and music sounds amazing. Albums I've heard a million times sound so much more subtle and intricate. And all this audio blis with Yo Gabba Gabba blaring in the same room.
I kinda never wanna take them off.
The microphone's good, too. I don't use them with a phone, but I do use them on ipad and desktop for Rosetta Stone and it's flawless, even with a toddler babbling in the background. Only complaint: I'm not wild about the ugly turquoise cord, though it does coordinate roughly with my hideous turquoise chromebook.
Before trying these, I definitely pooh-poohed expensive headphones for non-professional use. But dang. I stand corrected
They're also luxe and plush and terribly comfortable, and have a sturdy protective case that holds an airplane adaptor and an extra battery.

From the clever and convenient packaging to the true effectiveness at blocking out ambient noise, I am thrilled with this product. Thanks to the other Amazon reviewers, I had a better idea what to expect from my first noise-canceling headphones purchase. For those using this in an office, it's true that you won't tune out voices. But on an airplane, the amount of ambient noise blocked is incredible. Love this product!

These are great headphones, but for the 2nd time in four months I'm returning a pair to Amazon because one of the headphone speakers stopped working. It's very frustrating as I've been using them every day for work and have taken very careful care of them. I also have a pair of Audio Technica headphones, which aren't as good, but they are still working after six years! I am going to try one more time with these and if the next pair give out, that's it for Bose.

Well worth the price. I don't know a lot about technical musical jargon, but these are nice. The noise canceling sounds like noise canceling, I don't use it but my partner does and apparently it's good. It sounds like noise canceling to me. It isn't going to drown out a plane engine no matter how much you want it to do that.

Well all I can say is that I'm massively disappointed with these headphones, having been a BOSE fan for a lot of years I bought these without trying them first, big mistake. Whilst I appreciate everyone has their own taste on sound, but I really cannot understand why these are getting such good reviews? Basically when the noise cancelling is off they sound muddy and quiet even at high volumes, then with the noise cancelling on they become tinny and have absolutely no bass. Yes they are good at cutting outside noise but the sound quality is seriously bad. Also, even at a low volume they can be clearly heard by people sitting nearby. I really wanted to like these, but they are so bad, Im going to have to return them, hopefully I can get a refund. If I'd paid £50.00 for them I might be able to put up with them, but at this price, no way.

Best yet! I have owned all of the various iterations of the Bose (and many other brands) of noise canceling headphones. I fly a lot and music is a passion. These are by far the best that Bose (or any other company) have come up with yet. I have the "on ear" and cup style (over ear) versions as well. I would never buy the on-ear again, regardless of claims that might be made. You just don't get the same sound quality and no even close to the same noise canceling effect. Buy these, you will not be disappointed, save your money on the cheaper ones or on other brands. It's a waste... these are the real deal.

Turned a usually noisy flight to the US into a pleasure. The audio on a plane is actually quite good when the background noise isn't there. Terrific headphones which although expensive I think are worth every penny..

These are the best headphones I have ever had. They are comfortable, light and the swivel feature is great. The noise cancelling is as advertised. The only problem with them is that you have to remember to turn off the headphones to save the battary. I will always settle for quality above fashion . The "in fashion" headphones cannot deliver compared to the Bose QuietComfort 25 Headphones.

These headphones significantly reduce ambient noise, and the sound they produce is great. My only problem with them that I keep forgetting to turn off the noise reduction, so I'm constantly having to replace the battery. That's more a user error than it is a product problem, but it still bugs me that there is no automatic-off capability, especially in a product that costs several hundred dollars.

Excellent Bose quality, sound and it is simply phenomenal how the ambient noise is blocked out. They work so well that even hearing your own voice when speaking is difficult. I've owned five Bose headsets and these are the best by far.

As a Bose QuietComfort 15 User, I was totally unimpressed with the audio quality of this headphone. Although it is technically a successor to QC15 the sound quality is downgraded quite a bit specially on lower frequencies so you don't get the same feeling listening to classical music, or watching action movies. the only improvement over the QC 15 is that it works when battery dies but there is a catch. for some reason when the active noise cancellation gets turned off it also turns off the Surround sound enhancer and audio Equalizer that when there is no power the sound quality gets as bad as a 20 dollor pairs of headphones which makes you believe that the quality was simply a software enhancing audio illusion not the actual speakers inside headphone. (this was tested in a quite room)
Noise cancellation is really good and enhanced compared to QC 15 but the cushion can make you uncomfortable in prolonged use. it has more pressure and material seals your ears.

I have had Bose C 25 Headphones for about 4 months now all of a sudden the the headphones is malfunctioning, I used them in my "Galaxy S5" headset nothing is going right the sound is "good" but the frame is no good I've had to twist the wire several times just to get both side speakers can work, only one side works that's the left side, and the volume and phone button don't work on the wire for 2 my Bose headphones this is a "Galaxy S5" that I have, Bose leave the headphones alone stick with making good sound speakers.
