These are good. Sound quality not worth the price, but noise canceling on airplanes with screaming babies and coughing and other plane noise...priceless!

I tested these out in a bose store in December and I could not get them out of my head, so four months later I purchased my own. I looked at several options before purchasing and in the end I spent the money and do not regret it. Best investment you will make.

I want to love these. And I'm not saying I don't. I've just used them on one trip. I guess I expected more complete noise cancellation. Maybe I just wanted too much from them? They do hush out the airplane hum but I could still perfectly hear everyone talking around me. Also they fit a little big on me.

Perfect noise cancellation. They look great. The blue wire looks good and works well. On the downside, they are bulky and if you're not used to the over-the-ear format, they could be a bit uncomfortable. There are much more comfortable over-the-ear headphones out there, which do a pretty good job in removing background noise, even without active noise cancellation.

I am returning the second set of Bose QC 25 headphones in about a week. I really like these headphones, they are comfortable, the sound is very good and they look and feel great. The problem was the same on both sets, a problem with cable jack or the jack receptical. On the first set the problem developed the first evening. The sound would go off and I would have to touch the cable jack to get sound back, then every time I would move, the sound would go off. The second set this didn't develope until after 4 days use. Amazon has been good about about accepting the returns but regretfully I probably won't try a third set of Bose Quite Comfort 25 headphones.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and within 3 months the cable broke so now the headphones dont work. I cannot return the item because it is out of the return window. All we really want is a replacement chord but have been unable to contact anyone who can do that for us. My husband loved these and travels all the time. I really wish we could get a new chord so he can use them.

My last Bose headphones were the QC15s and I mostly got these for their looks and smaller folding size. Passed on the QC15s and am very happy with these. The sound is terrific, they are fabulous on a plane, and I must say I feel much less dorky wearing them around ANYWHERE than the big black/gray old ones. Of course the noise cancelling of these headphones is amazing. I really dislike the feel of in-ear (bud style) headphones and I'm really glad that even though there are new tiny in-ear noise cancelling Bose headphones that I went for these. I bet they are better for preventing hearing loss too!

These headphones are amazing. I commute to work on the bus and when I take off the headphones it sounds like a hurricane. I can vanish into the music and ignore all the noise pollution around me.
Only possible complaint is that it does require a AAA battery, but I can't feel the weight of it. These headphones are perfectly weighted (and light).
I also love that that headphone cable itself unplugs, so it can be replaced if needed (I had to toss a $250 pair of Beyer Dynamic Pro headphones because the headphone cable broke after my kid walked away from an ipad while wearing them).

I"ve just returned on a 9 hr flight with these stuck to my head and the previous 11 hr flight and not once was I tempted to take them off due to any painful discomfort. They are just so comfortable to wear for very long periods and the sound is so good for any type of music. The fact that 2 others in my eye sight on the flight had these headphones should tell you something about how good they are. And when the noise cancelling is in operation, they do reduce so much background noise that I always wonder how they achieve it.

Fantastic! I was concerned with the cost and if it was just based on the brand but these are much better than my 3 year old Sony's. Very comfortable and effective.

These headphones are comfortable except for the fact that, like all over ear headphones, they are hot. The noise cancellation of droning type sounds is near complete. However, they do not cancel other sounds like speech or television very well.
Last, and perhaps most disappointing is that the sound quality of music is poor. I am far from an audiophile. However, I want a cello to sound like one, and these headphones make music sound flat, with no highlights or undertones. This is my first time listening to noise cancellation headphones, and so I did side by side comparisons with my older headset (Sennheiser HD 485); the difference was night and day. I was hoping to block out the noise of a television in the next room, but these were not effective enough to make it worth the loss in sound quality, not to mention the high price.
I returned the Bose immediately.

I used to own the QC15's, and have tried the new QC20 in-ear Bose NC headphones but took them back as I found them uncomfortable after a long flight. These QC25's are absolutely superb. They are light and comfortable so much so that you forget you are wearing them after a while. Sound quality is superb (for NC phones). The biggest difference between these and the old pair is that with prolonged use, I dont feel the "pressure" feeling in my ear in my experience - the sound quality is slightly better, they seem a lot more balanced than the old pair. Truth is, I am never without them - on trains, planes, in the office - finding sanctuary for me is just a button click away. Well done Bose, only downside is the price but they last and the customer service is good so I guess you get what you pay for!

I long hesitated to buy Bose noise-cancelling headphones (QC 3 and QC 15) despite the unanimous good reviews as I considered the fact that they did not run without battery power a major obstacle. The QC 25 fixed that limitation and I also find their design more discreet and appealing. I bought them when my previous Sony noise-cancelling headphones finally gave up and I can only say that the reviews are true: They are much more adept at noise-cancellation than my old Sony and other ones I tried. Their sound is rich but well-balanced, without the typical bass-heavy tuning of a lot of other brands. They exceeded my expectations, and although I purchased them for flying, and I discovered they might be even more useful on the train :-)

These headphones sounded amazing!!! They truly blocked out the outside sound, however unfortunately they gave me a headache so I returned them. The fit was perfect, it did not squeeze your head uncomfortably. They fold nice and compact and come with a durable case. I'm sad for whatever reason they gave me a headache however I found the Bose true sound earbuds to be great

I have expensive taste in headphones as I use them professionally and personally every day. I fall asleep with them so they need to be comfortable and quiet. Before these I had a $300 pair of sennheiser's which I liked much more. These feel cheep. the actually give feedback in one ear from the noise canceling microphone. So if you put your head in a pillow with these on, you hear a loud whistle like a microphone feedback. Then one ear stopped working. No thanks.

Unbelievable! This deserves 6 stars. You must try these to believe how amazing they are. Really saved my ears from all the white noise. Great for studying. Got another pair for my college student, he loves them too!

I'm a guy who is into music. I've worked in a studio before so I can give you an unbiased review of these headphones. I bought them because of the noise cancelling since I work in an open office enviroment. The noise cancelling is good, works like it should, it's not 90% noise cancelling but it keeps you away from the world. The sound quality is decent, not good which is why I'm considering in selling these headphones, I expected a full blasting sound for the price. You can get a good software in your phone to improve them but as someone who has been into music I would say the Sennheiser HD 500 series sound better than this headphone. So if you want noise cancelling go for these ones. If you want sound quality you can get other for a cheaper price.

Simply amazing. If you are looking for noise cancelling headphones and you are able to spend the money, this is the pair for you. I have tried a number of other options always figuring Bose was more name than substance but the fact of the matter is that in this case Bose lives up to the hype.

Background noise suppression works great. Helps while flying or working at home with noisy kids. On airplanes, a vibration-like noise happens when you touch the phones to the wall if in window seat. Otherwise great! Music sound is very good. Volume control on the wire works well with iPhone.

First I would like to state that one the description does no say noise canceling it says noise reducing, second I would like to say 100% noise canceling headphones do not exist. I use these generally every day, and honestly I would feel 100% noise canceling headphones could be dangerous. I normally use them to walk my dog and I'd say it takes a good 70% of the noise away, I can still hear traffic to make safe crossing. Icarus rides and blame rides are a breeze. And the sound quality is beyond excellent
