Fantastic headphones! I can fall asleep on airplane rides no problem with these headphones. The sound is fantastic, both clear and crisp with excellent bass response. Fantastic headphones for anyone who travels in the air.

Absolutely brilliant headphones and worth every penny - great on flights with just the noise cancelling in operation so being able to read in relative peace and quiet (the system doesn't completely shut out all noise but it works really well)

These work great unless you in a car with the window even slightly cracked due to the pressure changes in the cab of the vehicle

Everything I wanted in a Noise Cancelling Headphone.
Update11/21/2015 I am an active person but I bought this for college mostly for sitting in the library or in class usually just sitting and studying and I noticed it is great for that but as soon as you get up to walk around that's when the wire starts to get in the way it would often get caught in something rip out and pretty much embarrass me and sometimes even cause me to worry that someone was trying to steal my headphones of my head for those reasons I am going to have to drop my rating down to a 4 because it really does ruin the experience. Yet I still highly recommend it if you're looking for a noise cancelling headset. Any questions please feel free to ask.

QC25 is very quiet in an airplane environment. As others have stated, the sound quality is good with a neutral sound bias...i.e. no heavy base boost. So far, the battery life is as advertised. They feel light and can be worn for several hours without any discomfort.

Great sound, but.... For the apple devices, the 2.5 mm jack falls out of the headphones very easily. No issue for android headphones though.

No noise canceling headphone is perfect however these top any I've tried. I do a lot of freelance graphic design work at home. I live in a 'luxury' paper thin walled apartment complex. Loud dishwashers. Loud washers and dryers. Loud neighbors playing loud bass music. This covers 80%-90% of the noise. Add music to cover the very little you can hear. Turn these on and you get the ahah moment of wow. Total life saver - pop these on and its quiet.

I like that you can listen to music without turning on the noise canceling feature.Also, they have improved the NCF to when you chose to use it, you feel separated from your environment.

These are awesome headphones with excellent sound and noise cancellation. The only thing I missed, is that these are corded. I had been searching for Bluetooth headphones. Would be nice if the cord was in the photos, otherwise it gives the impression they are cordless. Despite that, I love these headphones. If I ever buy another set, I'll definitely be getting the Bluetooth Bose headset next time.

These were by far, the BEST, noise canceling earphones I've ever, ever had & I wore them everyday since Xmas to cancel out the little barky dog next door. That was until the left side quit working.
So now I've got to mail them into Bose, wait weeks if not months, and live with a really crappy $50 pair. I'm really, really disappointed because they were perfect but didn't even last 3 months :(

My husband bought me these because i travel every month for work via airplane. I was skeptical because the size of them made me think they were "uncool". OMG!!!!! I LOVE THESE!!!! I will never travel without them. I get across country and feel rested and stress free. It is amazing how stressful on the body an airplane is! I love to turn off the switch sometimes just to remind myself how amazing these headphones are.
I want to buy these for all my friends who travel by air!!!!

Used these on airplane several times. Great for that type of noise. Sometimes I put them on when I'm tired of listening to my son practice the piano.

Great for studying, trips, you name it! They are comfortable for long use and over the ear so they don't cause your ears to get sore after prolonged use. They are amazing even without the noise canceling feature on. With the noise canceling on they are unmatched.

Perfect for noise cancellation. Work with my iPhone with the built in remote cable. Android control is a bit hit & miss. These are no audio files headphones but nothing even comes close to their noise cancellation features.

Better than BEATS STUDIO WIRELESS noise canceling...got them both and there is no comparison....Gave my wife the BEATS ones. If you can handle a wire its worth it. Great purchase

It's worth saving the money to buy this. Set aside $100 a paycheck and after a month a half you will own this. It's worth it! I highly consider buying the Square Trade warranty with accidental damage. That way it's 100% covered for the next 3 years! Small price to pay for expensive headphones.

Bought these on recommendation for a transatlantic flight. They made the flight bearable. Reduced noise (including screaming toddlers) to a minimum and provided exemplary sound while watching movies on my iPad.

Love these things; I refuse to fly without them. There is the most satisfying clip as every background sounds disappears.
Note that, like most noise-cancelled headphones, it selectively permits vocal-range sounds to enter at a low volume so that you can hear someone shouting at you.

I concur with all the reviews on here, these head phones are amazing. I use them on inter-rail and the London tube and they block out almost all the train noise. AMAZING!

So far so good! Purchased these to replace my Beats by Dre Executive headphones. They were barely used before completely braking down. The noise cancellation feature is the best. It still works without a battery, although the sound quality doesn't seem as good with it on. the Bose headphones are made of plastic, and while not fragile, it seems like one should be somewhat careful in handling to maximize use.

these have been amazing. i am addicted to them. I got them because my mom has trouble flying due to the noise. It triggers seizures, so I needed something that would help her make it home safely. She used them and said that she could barely hear the plane at alll. I fly 2x a month and love using them. It's fun to turn off the 'noise cancelling' after having them on for an hour and hearing how much louder they are.
They are pricier than some other models but well worth it. The case they come in is nice too for traveling as they compact really easily.

I've always wanted a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones. These certainly do not disappoint. It's amazing how it drowns out the noise when the noise cancelling is turned on. It's not a complete "dome-of-silence", you can still hear people talking to you if you aren't playing music and just have the noise cancelling turned on. But with constant humming noises in the background, like air conditioners, it does an excellent job of cancelling that noise almost entirely. I have not used on an airplane, but I trust that is really helps with the noise of the engines.
Even some naysayers of the Bose noise cancelling headphones were impressed when they actually tried them.
I also love the hard case and the remove-able cord.
