These things are the bomb! Use at home and when flying and they are outstanding. Comfortable, great sound.....Bose nailed it!

My thoughts are pretty much in line with most reviews I've seen. The noise cancellation is incredible. It really helps my focus at work, even though I guess it isn't really optimized for workplace frequencies. The downside is that the sound is not awesome. They sound OK for my purposes, but I wish they were better.
Also, I'm really glad that this model lets you use them after the battery runs dead. Actually after about 4 days of using them at work and my wife using them on the airplane the battery is still going, so I haven't gotten to test this feature. But I saw it to be a real flaw in what I've read about the older model.

I love the sound quality of these headphones, especially with my ipad or iphone. The battery for the noise reduction last a long time. What I am not too crazy about is the quality of the frame of the headphones. Very cheap plastic and I feel like if I make any sudden movements, I might break them. At least that is what it feels like.

I purchased these on the premise of the ability to return if i wasn't satisfied from Bose. They do work very well - but in specific circumstances and types of sound ( think.... rumbling wheels, plane engines, bass music from the TV ). Voices - not really at all ( which is very much documented - its all about the sound frequency and these will work with the lower frequency ). The only reason i didnt give the full 5 stars was my expectation of better noise reduction across the WHOLE spectrum of sound. I would say though, if your in a noisy living room - just having these on does help - and if you listen to music or watch a film with them, it almost cancels out all sound you would normally hear.

Love my new White Bose headphones. So comfy and they really work to mute the airplane noise. New headphones collapse, so the case is smaller and there is a little hole to keep a spare battery. Nice improvements from the older model. Worth every penny!

These are my second pair of headphones that I have bought. My first Headphone was the ATH-M50X they were really good but they have that noise canceling, I returned them. I was thinking that I would get another pair of headphone. So I asked some of my friends for some advice. Most of my friends told to get the Bose-QC25, some told me to get the Bose-QC15, and I look at the reviews of both of them and I saw that Bose-QC25 was going to be better for me even tho they cost $299. Before I asked my friends for advice I was going to buy Beats Headphone. Thank god I didn't buy Beats headphone. Now I am using the Bose-QC25 it's the best headphone that I have ever used in my life. I am not going to lie its was the best headphone that I used in my life for that price.!.!.!.!. It's the Best one thing I hate tho if u don't have the noise canceling ON the sound is not that bad but after using noise canceling ur not going to like it..! But it's the best..! For $299

I agree with many viewers who complained about its quality. Bought it a few years ago, and did not use it for a long time. Then my daughter started to use it. It lasted for only a few months, though it sounded wonderful when it worked. In total, its lief expectancy was about ten months.

For $399. I expect something to at least last. My headphones have foam popping out of both sides. Bose will happily replace this "problem" for $199. These have 100 hours of lousy use on them and which works out to $3. per hour and not even an sustainable repair. I'm disgusted and will not buy bose again. I don't need to with Beats and other manufacturers offering real leather that does not fall appart even when kept in a special case!

I used to listen to Audio technik noise cancelling headphones which were good for the money. I think they were $150 at the time of purchase. I used my amazon reward points and got these for $250.00. Anyways I am not an Audio expert but I do enjoy clean sound. The noise cancellation is awesome compared to what I was used to. They block out voices too.. you can still hear people but it is very heard to understand. All other background noises like jet engines and fans are muted. The sound from listening to chill trap music on youtube during work can be described as having an orgasm to your ears. I have worn these for my 10 hour shifts at work and had no comfort issues. They do not get hot like my PS4 bluetooth surround sound headphones. Cord has a MIC which I havent used but the cord seems thick and durable. I do plan on testing this out at the gym, I don't run often but I do lift, I do like the length because I put my samsung note 3 in my pocket because it would look rediculous on am arm band. I would highly recommend these head phones.

Love the sound quality and the comfort, I've never worn better headphone. Only thing I would change is the plug. Often times walking home from campus something would tug on the cord dislodging it just a little bit making it lose sound in the right ear until I pushed it back in all the way. I either had to walk with extreme caution as to not touch the cord or be stationary.

Recently I took a 20 hours long flight from USa to Indonesia. This time around I gift myself an early Christmas present, this amazing product. Boy, I have never feel happier during my flight. Please note that I am in no way an audiophile so I cannot comment much on the audio quality.
Pros:
- The noise isolation: I can see that this headphone will help me during my studies at the library. The silence is amazing.
- Build quality: I was actually tempted to buy Bose headphones because of my friend qc15. IWhen I was searching at amazon I realized that they have a newer version (this one).
Cons:
- The price is quite steep.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this headphones for someone who are looking to get a noise cancelling headphones.

These are nice for peace and quiet while flying. I tried Beats Executive multiple times on a plane and these are hands down the winner. The beats are heavy, on-ear = gets painful after extended periods, and don't work with a dead battery. If you like more bass, EQ your device. These are pretty flat response.

I tested the headphones with a varied selection of music.The results in all cases were outstanding but a particular highlight was the original jamaican mixes of Bob Marley's Catch a Fire album (available on the Deluxe Edition).These mixes were deemed "too bass heavy" at the time of release but sound absolutely stunning on these headphones.
The noise cancelling is effective in removing lower frequencies from the outside enviroment but as with most headphones of this type a small amount of high frequency hiss can be heard in quiet passages and between tracks.The "over ear" design and the soft padded ear cushions make these headphones very comfortable to wear. Well worthy of 5 Stars.

I purchased these headphones for my husband to use on a flight to Germany. Excellent noise cancelling technology. Good sound. However, my husband has a large head. Two hours after using the headphones, he began to have pain on his ears and sides of his head from the pressure of the headphone band. There would be no way he could use the headphones on an extended flight. With regret, we are returning the headphones. If you have a "normal" size head, I would highly recommend these headphones for the noise cancelling ability.

I have been thinking about buying a decent pair of noise cancelling headphones for a while but obviously put off by price. I noticed the Sony ones at £215 on amazon and was tempted. When I checked reviews they said that Bose NC was best but the sound quality / styling were not. When I read reviews for brand new QC25 they reported that styling was better as was sound quality. So I decided to invest.
These feel comfortable, robust and high quality. The sound to my ordinary ears is great and the notice cancellation is exceptional. I cut the lawn with a petrol lawn mower and am used to putting the volume on my in-ear buds quite high but no longer. I am particularly looking forward to trains, tubes and flights and being finally able to lock the outside world out.
Another point which was a big decider with me was batteries. These QC25's use a standard AAA battery for 35h+ use. The competition seems to prefer integral rechargeable batteries which means I would have to make sure before every trip they are charged but with bose I just carry a spare AAA in the case and all worries gone.

The QC25s have given me some level of isolation at work again.
- Noise Isolation (NC on): if you need to drown out co-workers talking or a busy street downstairs, then these will do the job, battery lasts about a week with constant use at work.
- Sound quality is decent, but I like my AT-50s better.
- Comfort: these are supremely comfortable. I was able to last about an hour in my AT50s before my ears got tired. I can last in these all day.

As I have not been able to sleep on international flights, my main intention was to use for international travel in hopes of drowning out the engine noise and possibly getting some rest if not sleep. I was very pleased with how well the QuietComfort 25 vistually eliminated the engine noise. Being in economy sleep still escaped me it was a much more restful slight. Next time I will consider benedryl as well.
Upon returning home though I have used it for personal iPod and Netflix and the quality of the experience is vastly improved.
Being a bit pricey at $300, I would not have splurged had I not gotten an employee award voucher.

it's a little strange wearing these things for the first time, you think you have a cold because your ears seem like they're plugged. It is a bit amusing to switch the isolation on and off to really understand the effect. If you fly on airplanes and you don't send first-class you are destroying your hearing. Do yourself a favor and get a pair of these and listen to music at reasonable non-damaging levels. You'll be glad you did.

I have never owned noise canceling headphones before and I was not disappointed with this purchase at all. I wore them on a plane for the first time and they drowned out all of the excessive noise and allowed me to watch my movie in peace. If you travel a lot or need that extra quiet time at work or school these headphones are a must. They are pricey but the Bose quality is top notch.

Right earphone stopped working after 7 months, even though I have always handled it very carefully, keeping it in it's case when not used. Not at all what I'd expect from Bose, or from such a high-end headphone.

Boses after market care is terrible after spending 300 dollars on a pair of quiet comfort 15 I got no help at all when one speaker stopped working I will never buy bose again .

Just rode a plan for 13 hours straight, Watched two movies and an endless amount of MUSIC and I didnt even hear that damn plane.. Wonderful
