A-OK on all fronts, but had a couple of gripes that has little to do with sound quality per se
1. The adverts don't have as much of an explicit mention that these are NOT wireless headphones. I was looking for bluetooth wireless headphones and incorrectly assumed this was one by looking at the images on Amazon.
2. At a relatively louder volume level, the outside of the headphones tend to get noisier than usual headphones. Doesn't affect how it sounds to the listener, but can certainly turn into a nuisance in quiet environments.

I have used Bose gear for years. The sound on these bad boys is excellent, but the quality is ridiculously poor. In under 2 months one of the ear pads fell off, revelling how it was glued on with little care. Then a week later the jack snapped in half when unplugging. I expected better, but now I know. Bose states they have a one year warranty, which came with the headphones, but they will not exchange them since Amazon isnt a licensed dealer, and their 30 day return has already passed. Bose should change their name to Boo.

The Bose 715053-0010 Quiet Comfort 25 Headphones were packed well and arrived in excellent condition.
noise canceling ability: I'd wanted these QuietComfort Headphones for their noise canceling ability. I've tried them on the subway in NYC and they work better than the Beats Pro noise canceling earphones that I've been using. I can still hear other people but they're considerably muffled and the screech of the subway almost completely disappears.
quality: The Quiet Comfort 25 feel well made, sturdy without being heavy. They feel luxurious and discrete - not at all flashy.
I haven't test the battery life of these headphones so I can't speak to that yet. I do love the new Bose Quiet Comfort 25 Headphones.
Update: I've used the headphones on a four and a half hour train ride and loved that they blocked the constant noise from the train as well as muffled the sound of the people near me while keeping me engrossed in my audiobook.

The quality is excellent.
This is the first set of noise cancelling headphones I have bought and I am very impressed. All the way from the packaging right down to the quality of the product, the experience has been great.
Some of the reviews on here said your audio collection becomes new again after purchasing these. Those comments are right. You start to hear things in music you didn't know were there before. These headphones are great.
The only negative comment is that it doesn't completely filter out "the world" when used without audio, but it reduces the noise by at least 90%. Good enough to allow you to relax in the noisiest of environments.

I work as a "surgeon" and I must say, these headphones are incredible! I don't even bother with anesthesia anymore! It's not necessary with these, cause I can't hear a thing! The patients keep emphatically mouthing things at me, which I assume are things like "those headphones look beautiful" and "where can I get a pair" but I am too busy listening to the amazing sound quality these headphones provide! Just make sure you bring an extra battery! Nothing is worse than your music being interrupted by the angry screams of a man in a back alley with his chest cavity open while you search for another battery among his possessions.

I love listening to music & had read several reviews about these headphones. What a great investment. They sound great & are comfortable to wear. I would have liked it better if the headphones had a rechargeable battery & not a AAA battery.

Nothing like them. They make air travel pleasant. I become relaxed when I have them on.
The audio quality, to me, is the best I have ever heard. Even if they aren't perfectly flat, which they aren't, they produce such a low noise floor that all music has a huge dynamic range to enjoy that listening is very pleasing. Also, with the low noise floor, I can listen to music very, very quietly, which is wonderful.

It would be a good choice if you like light music and just wanted the noise-canceling. However as a headphone it is just a mediocre one, or even below average for the price.

In less than six months, with only moderate use, the flimsy connection to the headphone jack broke, causing the stereo effect to go on and off. This poor quality is unacceptable in a $300 headphone.

Noise cancellation actually works great but volume is just not loud enough...also sound quality significantly drops out if noise cancellation is turned off...would not buy again.

Let me start off by saying I never would have thought I'd spend this much for headphones but with multiple European and Asian flights coming up this year for me I decided to bite the bullet and get a decent set.
Wow! I am glad I did. I kept these bad boys on for a couple of 10 hour flights, no discomfort and the noise cancellation was awesome.

A very impressive set of headphones, but for the price you would expect them to be. The good things are that the noise cancelling really does have a massive effect on extraneous noise, tested by blowing up an air bed with an electric pump, noise reduced considerably and music could be heard at a reasonably low volume with no problems.
An interesting test is to turn on the noise cancelling with them not plugged in, you truly realise how noisy the world is.
They also fold away nicely and fit into a nice carry case, very easily, and this take up a surprisingly small space.
Comfort is good as well with cups fitting well around my Big head and not squeezing me uncomfortably.
So the down side the price is really all I can give, this is a Bose product which does a great job but at a price.

The last time I was so impressed by a piece of technology was when I first used an iPhone. These headphones are witchcraft... some alien invention...
The passive noise cancelling capabilities are the headphone are impressive, but then I pressed the little power button on the side and for the first time in years I realised what true silence means. There is so much background noise in the world our brain works hard to ignore. It was amazing to let the headphones do work.
There is still some noise coming through but It's different. In a way the headphone deletes background irrelevant noise, but you can still the more relevant noises. Hard to explain really, you have to try it yourself.
Go ahead and buy it. Seriously, buy it now.

Take yourself into your own zone and block out all others (almost) without an annoying flashing blue Bluetooth light!
I've had to tie a knot in the cable as it is so long but the fit is nice and they are very light. Bluetooth upgrade for the 35s? Then I will give these to the kids.

Bought them last week from another retailer when I was in Germany. Fantastic pair of headphones, being a bit of an audiophile, I wasn't sure about the sound quality due to the NC but was pleasantly surprised when I received them, I still knew they'd be good but after even only a few hours burn in, the sound quality improves even more. The base gets stronger while not becoming overpowering and the treble becomes less harsh than when you first get them whereas the mids are pretty much perfect from the get go. Well worth the price if you're after class leading noise cancellation and brilliant audio quality.

What a surprise Bose makes the best noise cancelling headphones for a ton of money. I sit in an open work environment and the guy next to me evidently swallowed a bullhorn at a young age, seriously he is the loudest human on the planet. So, I upgraded from Dre Beats and wow, what a difference in noise canceling and sound quality. Worth it? That depends do you travel a lot, they are great on airplanes OR do you sit next to a human bull horn? Then get them before you jump out the window.

These have been put into good use in the last week.
I moved house last week and unpacking boxes, but not wanting to upset new neighbours I have used these a fair bit.
These are most definitely noise cancelling, I couldn't hear a thing outside of them apart from the music I was listening to, they fit really well, didn't feel too bulky etc.
Honestly I have no idea about other headphones with similar features if they are any good or not.
I admit they were excellent but honestly I would never pay the money wanted for these so this is unfortunately is why i marked it down a star. I don't normally mark items down on price but I felt I needed to in this case because with insurance/guarantee these would set you back over £300 and this is rather costly in my opinion.

Bought these for my husband as his bose broke. He doesn't like the wireless ones as they frown upon them when traveling on flights as he does travel a lot for work. He prefers the quality of wired vs wireless also. Knocked off 2 stars as they are only 7 months old and right ear doesn't work.

Compare with all of em,my frist impression with bose is bad.I felt to return it.I thought of giving it a try before returning it.For my work I need to do lot of flying.I used this bose headset in-flight,remarkably it is too quite and vocals and music is crystal clear and it gives adaptive sound with flight noise.Amazing.
Gave 4 star because,I felt extraordinary only when it is exposed to noise.

The Bose 25 are not noise cancelling in the way that the 15's were. When I put the 15's on, all noise in the room vanished. Not so with the 25's. They just muffle the sound in the room/airplane. I feel taken by Bose. I'm looking at other brands to find a pair of headphones which will perform as the QuietComfort 15's did.

Lighter weight and not as tight against your head as the Klipsch M40, although they are more expensive. The Klipsch head band broke after 18 months.
