I love my IPAD MINI! I use it often. Kindle/nook, pinterest, emails, you name it. My DH has one and I am getting ready to buy one for my daughter! LOVE IT A LOT!!!!!!!!

I've had 2 Nexus 7s (both models) because of the iPad sticker shock. Don't let that be your decisionmaker.
The only regret is that I didn't get the 64GB model. The display is outstanding and I find I'm watching videos here far more than I did on the Nexus devices.

It has 4g lte better apps better everything than cheap tablets even wifi is twice as fast as regular 7 Inch tablets

Awesome, perfect for my needs. Love the brilliant display, space of display, and ease of use. Needed a larger screen for traveling, reading, etc and decided to go with this size rather than a full iPad. This is amazing!

Perfect for so many things! Surf the web, shop, read with the Kindle app, draw with various apps, take photos and videos, write, and so on! You can do it all with this handy, perfectly sized iPad! Love it!

I am currently writing this review on my new retina iPad mini and I have to say it is incredibly easy to type with. I was considering the new nexus 7 and the kindle fire hdx. The hdx looks very nice and it's easy to use but what you see is what you get. You can't customize the background at all which is ok but it just seemed very limited and I don't have amazon prime. The graphics and sound we're great though. The nexus was my next choice because of the price range and the good display. However the sound quality was not to my liking which is very important to me. I do like the selection of apps and the android interface. But I did not like the aspect ratio on the nexus as I am mostly going to be using the tablet for movies and games. The iPad mini to me was the best option because of the awesome speakers, retina display, perfect aspect ratio, endless apps and the incredible build quality. Watching movies and playing games are perfect for this tablet. It is less than a pound and it is sporting all of the same features as the iPad air. I am very happy with my purchase. I usually have buyers remorse but I have not had a second thought about this one

Just what I expected and got it the same day! Apple products are the best! If you have the cash I would suggest getting your phone company through it! So convenient!

After received it and use for 2 days, touch screen has issues that I cannot control the tablet. It likes this Ipad mini has been repaired temporily for selling.

This was the first Apple product I have owned and I was apprehensive regarding my ability to use it. However, it is so easy to use! I don't like the voice helper thingy though. I wish I knew how to uninstall it. We purchased this device to make pictures and I'm not really happy with the indoor quality. Outdoor shots are perfect. Maybe we should have purchased the older version because I know they take excellent pictures. All-in-all though, I'm very happy with this device.

Purchased this product as a birthday gift for my girlfriend who uses several apple products and wanted an iPad so it would integrate with all her other computers. What we received was indeed an iPad mini 16G; however, the product received did not have Retina display (the extra special part of hte gift I was hoping to give her since she knew she was getting an iPad). We are now working with Amazon and Apple to remedy the situation. The product was vacuum sealed stating it was an iPad mini with retina on the barcode but that is not was was inside the vacuum sealing.

I think everything has been said and written on the iPad mini retina, I just wanted to share with you all how happy and satisfied I am with my new iPad mini retina, there is nothing wrong with it, it's fast, intuitive, handy and I can do a lot of things with it, in fact I'm posting this review with my new iPad, I had a nexus 7 and this iPad is in every single aspect way better than my old android device, trust me, if you want a tablet this is the best choice out there, you won't be disappointed !!!

Would be love it, however the unit stopped working now only after only 4-5 months after receiving: will not hold a charge. Clearly defect battery or software power monitoring: goes from 98% to 8%, and then powers down after only 20 minutes of use.

Got the SIM card enabled 64GB one as a gift for my wife. We live and travel overseas so it's perfect for long train rides in Europe because she can create a nice little hotspot for us on the go. It's somehow better at picking up signal than my laptop as well!

I have to admit, I've started to become an Apple fanboy. After my poor experience with the Nexus 7 I went with the overpriced iPad. I love my iPhone, but wasn't looking to essentially get a bigger version of it (with a wi-fi only model). While they are very similar devices, I have found unique uses for my iPad. First off, there are an excellent selection of apps, a huge advantage the App store has over Google Play. I have one for taking handwritten notes, organizing my notes, performing sit ups, scanning documents, reading articles, books, and comics, utilizing Google Drive, dating and playing some games. Android devices have many of these features, but not the quantity or quality.
The iPad itself performs well. Switching between screens and using the new iOS 7 changes have been fine. Of course, there are some changes I do not like, but that's not particular to this machine. I prefer the mini sized iPad versus the normal size for holding and travel. It's light and doesn't take up much space. The screen is wonderful for reading and takes decent pictures.
Overpriced it is, I still think it's a great tablet. When the iPad was revealed years ago I couldn't imagine anyone wanting one. Now owning one I understand the appeal.

I love it! It is so easy to use and is getting me into the 21st century social media more. I tunes are great, face time, weather now and everything. I get mad at restaurants that don't have a Wi-Fi internet connection. Takes really great pictures too.

I love my new mini. If I had extra money I would have gotten the retina but this so far is really good. It is great hand sized, and I can download all my iphone apps on it for free. It is so so pretty. I love the silver coloring off the back. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a tablet.

No matter where I go- the tablet is SLOW. It says LTE, but there's no way....This is the slowest tablet I've every used in my life.

I echo Reader44's review (above) about getting a supposedly new iPad Mini from Amazon that turned out to be used. My Mini arrived on Friday with paperwork showing that it was being provided by Freebie Electronics. I had no problem getting it configured on my wireless WiFi network Saturday morning. I then called Verizon and provided the necessary information to connect using 3G. However, it would not connect even though I had the Verizon logo and three bars on the screen. I called Verizon back, and another person told me there was a "problem," and I needed to speak with the Fraud Prevention department, which was not open weekends. Or I could go to a Verizon store and have someone there look at it. I opted for the latter and drove to the Verizon store in Torrington, CT. Someone there checked it out, entered some data from the Mini on her computer, and confirmed that the Mini had been previously sold to someone else. The unit was "blacklisted" because that someone had neglected to pay his or her Verizon account. No, Verizon won't unlock the Mini, so I have to return it to Amazon for a replacement. Amazon's web site says Freebie Electronics gets 4.9 out of 5 stars, which seems hard to believe if that company makes a habit of providing used electronics to Amazon for sale as new. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with Amazon. I have bought lots of stuff, not just computers, from Amazon and certainly expected better.

for me this was better than a full size ipad, i prefer something smaller which is a lot lighter in the hands. with this i can read magazines for hours but with an ipad after 30min my arms got tired, this mini version is a lot lighter. plus fits into more places since its not so big making it more portable.
