The iPad mini is the best tablet on the market. Much lighter in weight than the full-sized iPad and easier to hold at and angle. I own a iPad mini and a Nexus 7. Comparing these tablets by the tech specs isn't that helpful. You'll get a similar experience with both devices but the iPad mini feels better overall and has a more polished user experience. I own the older model (without retina display). I've compared the new and old iPad Minis in the Mac store. The retina display is nice, but I have a hard time seeing a difference in most of the apps I use so I think the older model is one of the best deals available right now.

The perfect iPad, the size is really confortable in the hand so you can use it for hours without getting tired of it. If you like iOS and you want an iPad, this is what your looking for, unless you actually need a bigger screen.

This was the third one I have purchased. Two for gifts and one of my own. Can't do without it. Has the answered I need, instant communication with family and friends, the games I enjoy and answeres for everyday questions. I love it.

Very light weight. Works great. Was considering the air but got this one instead. All apps that I purchased before on my old iPad that got stolen I didn't have to repurchase just download again. Gotta say.....I'm loving it

Its clearly a 5 star device but don't waste your time buying it on amazon, apple just dropped the price on its website to 299 for this model and 349 for 32gb model so there you go.

Apple is Apple and very excellent quality, my only concern is the company that sold it on Amazon. It is called VIUS and DO NOT buy any products from them---you will pay much more than you will with other companies. I paid $287 for this mini from VIUS and within days Target had the same one for $199. When I contacted VIUS to see if they had a policy about this and they said they do not offer price matching and would not refund the any difference under any circumstances so my advice is to buy an iPad Mini from anyone but VIUS!!!! Pass it along......

I purchased this mini for my sister as a gift. She was always playing games on her little iPod and would look up from playing for a long time and would have to take a little time in getting her eyes to adjust back to normal. Anyone who loves to play games on their iPhone or iPod knows that is not always the easiest. Go get a mini and games become much more fun!
My sister took her mini on vacation and was taking pictures of just about everything. And when she isn't taking pictures, she is playing a game (she's actually very good!). In fact, rarely does this mini leave her presence. I think we can call this a winner!

I only gave this two stars because of the speedy shipping. I received it in a very timely manner. However, upon setting it up from the start it gave me problems connecting to the wifi. My fiancé has a regular sized iPad and sits right next to me and has no problem connecting to the wifi at all. If I knew that I would have such an issue I would have purchased the regulars sized one. I only got the mini because I just wanted it mostly for internet research and the occasional game. Also, to be able to face time when my fiancé is out of town. I'm super bummed.

The product arrived in new unsealed condition. It was easy to setup and offers crystal clear resolution. iPad mini is easy to navigate and does not disappoint in performance. Also, it comes with the standard Apple warranty.

Gave this as a gift and she loves it! The 16GB is more than sufficient for her needs. Also purchased the extended 2-year warranty which is a good investment at an affordable price.

Love this iPad mini with Retina Display. I was afraid I wouldn't because we also own an iPad Gen 1, and I thought the smaller size of the mini would be a problem. It's really not. It does everything I want it to do and it is a lot easier to carry.

I'm very pleased with the iPad mini without the retina display. Since I don't know the difference with or without, I am not missing anything. It just cost me less. The tablet works great. It has hundreds of uses. Beware that it can not be used for school or college classes as it is not able to get flash player. So you still need a laptop for school. But this is great for everything else that you do online, and it can fit in my purse.

I was reluctant to purchase this since I am more use to an Android system. I love this tablet. Bought it for my daughter as a gift and she loves it. So many educational apps on it and the clarity is amazing. The battery life is crazy. I have an android tablet that lasts about 6 hours watching streaming videos, but the Mini lasts all day. Sometimes my daughter leaves it around and wont be found until the next day and it is still half charged. best battery life ever. I would recommend this to anyone who second guesses an IOS tablet.

I also have two 16gb iPads, one is a regular size and one is a mini. The memory kept getting full, so I ordered this 32gb mini version for my 4 year old son. This new one has twice as much memory, so we can install twice as many games. Everyone in the family uses it. It's a good thing I ordered an E-stand Protect-O silicone rubber shell bumper case to go with it, because the kids drop it all the time. The screen resolution, battery life and storage are way better than the slow cheapo 7 inch 8gb Android tablets I tried before. Also, Apple lets you update iOS, where you can't upgrade the Android version on most cheapo tablets. Also, the iTunes store lets me install all the games and add-ons I've already installed on the others for free. Works great for playing Youtube videos too. It's a great family tablet.

Love my IPad mini with retina display! Amazon offered a good price, shipped it sooner than stated & it arrived in perfect condition. It is a perfect size for using as an e-reader, social media & surfing the Internet.
