- + да нет их, разве что можно отнести к достоинства то, что АМД наконец-то смогли выпустить новые процессоры, а не выпускать старые камни с поднятой на 100мгц частотой (феном 970, 975, 1100Т)
Разблокированный множитель и т.д. - мелочи. - - Ну какая "мощная игровая платформа" может быть на его базе? Смотрите тесты производительности: флагман АМД...

- + 8 ядерный процессор уже большой плюс,покупал в замену Phenom 2 550, разница само собой как небо и земля. Возможно при мониках, способных выдавать 200+ FPS он и отстает от i5, i7, 1100T, однако я играю на 40 дюймовом телеке, который выдает максимум 60 fps во что бы не играл.
- - К сожалению на данный момент этот процессор не...

- + Мощный проц - без разгона 7,5 по индексу винды! Даже самые последние игрушки откусят 20-30% от его мощности. Хотя удалось его загрузить на 100% ... запустив Dr.web на полную проверку.
- - Может я параноик, но остужать его надо...

- + Достоинство можно обусловить наличием высокочастотных 8 ядер. Это очень кстати полезно для людей, занимающихся рендерингом, или обработкой видео. В играх же он конечно не очень. Много кэша, новая архитектура, и высокая частота - его достатки.

- + 8 ядер,тактовая частота,обьем кэша L2 8192 Кб,32 нм, почти во всех тестах выигрывает пусть и не особо но всетаки core i7 980x, во всех которые я видел тестах уничтожает core i7 2600k(если им верить)...

Ядер хоть и 8, но очень медленных(не сравнит с i7 2600K)
Не годится для игр.
Данный проц сливает по всем параметрам своим конкурентам i5/i7 Sandy...

Very Good Processor and Great Value
Just fitted this into my motherboard also purchased from Amazon and it works great. This was my first self build PC and I opted for this as it suited my motherboard. Was delivered on time and easily fitted with clear and concise instructions. There was not much difference on my PC than the Dual Core AMD Processor I had previously on my old machine so not giving it 5 stars as I thought the difference would be very noticible. Just done a CPU speed test and its showing 3.723 mhz so working just as it should.

i like vista- i have no complaints why buy windows 7 when there the same thing
windows 7 doesnt have some security features init thats why you might feel its smoothier , but windows has a list where you get those security programs installed anyways buy a old version of vista your better off.

ca AM3+ nécessite obligatoirement des ram DDR3, quand je l'ai installé sur ma carte où il y avait les DDR2 d'origine, le ventilo tournait mais rien ne démarrait...
Sinon l'emballage et la qualité du produit sont parfait. Une petite doc de matériel compatible serai la bien venue car même sur le site AMD rien n'est indiqué sur les RAM.
Après installation une plus grande célérité est constatée.
Le ventilo fourni possède sa propre pate étalée, mais j'ai préféré installé un ventirad bequiet shadow pro bien plus silencieux.

AMD does it again
I recently built my first gaming PC for under $600. I wanted a decent computer on a budget, so I decided to go with AMD rather than Intel. To be honest, I think I would have gone with AMD even if I had an unlimited budget. I have, for the entirety of my sentience, despised brands that advertise "higher quality" despite similar specs at exorbitantly higher prices (ehem, Apple). Sure, Intel chips may be pretty, sparkly, etc, but AMD sells similarly spec'd chips at nearly half the cost, and offers great customer support. I will, for as long as I and AMD exist, buy their chips for that reason. This CPU specifically has caused me no troubles and when I build another computer, AMD will be in it. This, or the FX 6xxx series, are your best bet for a gaming PC on a budget.

Good Solid Processing
First time I've used the Bulldozer chip (always used Phenum II processors in the past. Great chip and is rock steady in Windows 8 paired with an Asus AM3+ motherboard. Haven't had the need to overclock it as it runs pretty quick in standard clock mode. Overclocking is available though , especially if you're a gamer demanding more power. Highly recommended if your building an AMD3+ system. Note: have also used the 6 core and 'Tri' core Athelon chips by AMD are they are all great processors.

i have not stretched this CPU at all yet no overclock at the moment however i did run some benchmarks at stock clocks .......
on cinebench it scored 2.8 and on 3d mark vantage it scored around the 9000 mark so for the price i don't think is bad especially with it also being at stock clocks great CPU if you can go for the 6 core or the 8 core just for the extra performance for those of you that are interested it scored a 7.3 in windows.

Very Good Value CPU
Let's just start by saying that this is not the CPU to buy if you're building a serious gaming rig. There are a number of other AMD CPUs better suited for gaming, including the FX-8100/8120, the Phenom II Black Edition 4, 6 & 8 core CPUs, etc. But if you're building a system for a home office, general use or even light to moderate gaming, I think the FX-4100 is a very good value. I have it installed in an ASRock Extreme4 mobo w/8GB of RAM and a Crucial M4 SSD that I use for photo editing, home office, etc., and it is more than enough CPU. Lightroom 4 and Photoshop Elements 10 open in seconds, batch processing of several hundred photos in LR4 is just as fast and layers in PE 10 open and close in a blink. I am very satisfied with this CPU.

Better price/performance value than Sandy Bridge i3, power hog, no upgrade path
Upside is that compared to a Sandy Bridge i3 system this is more value because it is overclockable to who knows how much (I've got 4500MHz with stock cooler and +0.025V increase).
Downside is more power consumption and seemingly no upgrade path because more powerful FX series processors are not better value than Sandy Bridge. Only this one is. And also because AM3+ isn't going anywhere, it seems but I can't be sure yet. While Socket 1155 is expected to have Ivy Bridge soon.
Overall feeling I have is that I'd rather have a Socket 1155 Sandy Bridge based system. Oh well. Next time.
For Linux this works well but I'm in the process of reporting a bug about a bug somewhere in the Linux stack where using the Gigabyte GA-880GMA-USB3 mainboard with the onboard graphics I have to disable CPU frequency scaling. Otherwise I have display stuttering / framedrops.
UPDATE: I solved this bug by updating to the latest BIOS.

la carte graphique: nvidia quadro 600
il est possible de télécharger un programme russe (trouvé sur un forum russe)qui permet d'assigner les 4 cores "cuda" aux possesseur du fx...
chaque cœur du fx 4100 aura son propre cœur cuda!!!
et comme dit si bien ce programme, le xéons irons tous à la poubelle!!!
ps) ce programme est en cyrillique! ayez un pote russe sous la main!

AMD Bulldozer FX-4100
Package contained processor and fan/ heatsink unit with pre-applied thermal interface material. Only criticism is that the Amazon sales' specification should have made all this clear. Would have saved unnecessary purchase of interface paste and uncertainty as to whether the fan was provided.
Accompanying multilingual leaflet provided adequate pictorial instructions for installation.
Installation on an Asus motherboard and connection of fan cable were surpisingly easy and completed before I realised it.
So far the unit is trouble-free and working as prescribed.

Tried and Tested
i bought this expecting a reasonably cheap quadcore light gaming processor but light was not this in any way. i originally was going to sell the computer i built but with this processor in it i have decided to sell my other computer and keep this one (my other computer was an old flimsy i5 build).
FPS wise this runs pretty much all games at ultra or high depending on your graphics card. In my case a nvdia gtx 670.(All games on ultra graphics settings)
Total War Shogun 2: 60-80fps
Battlefield 3: 40-60
Crysis 2: 60-80
Skyrim(with high-rez textures): 120-140
Minecraft(all settings on high qualty) 200-240 (on performance settings): 500-750
All in all i am very impressed and would very highly recommend this processor.

Good mid-range CPU
I bought this as part of an upgrade and on reading several reviews elsewhere, was a bit concerned that I'd made the wrong choice. Fortunately, this seems not to be the case and the CPU is performing well, particularly with one of the more graphics hungry programs I use.
Making similar use of my PC as I did with the previous CPU, the FX-4100 does not appear to be challenged in the slightest. I haven't even bothered to make use of the overclooking facility and don't foresee the need to do so.
I would say I'm average in terms of PC use, internet, office, the odd simulator or game. I can run all simultaneously with no impact on performance.
