Excellent cleaner, really powerful suction. Really long power cable. Would definitely recommend this cleaner.

Excellent product for an older style machine at a fantastic price, works well as a vacuum with a reasonable range of tools. The bag can be reused and is easy to change. I have not used this as a carpet cleaner, good for sucking up water spills; remember to take out the bag and dry out before fitting it back. Otherwise this old product would get another star. A good wise buy.

Rubbish! Leaky! Soaked me and the floor. Hoses fall off. Switch for sucking slips back to delivering fluid. Carpet took day to dry, so did I. I returned it for a refund.

I am not happy with this vacuum cleaner, I have had it less than 3 months and the hose comes out of the cylinder!! What use is that!!

Ok for light DIY use , bough one for my car valeting business , fell apart in weeks ! Ok for cleaning spills in the house and freshening up small areas of carpet . Very awkward for car cleaning due to the long hand grip ! Overall would never buy another !

this is good vacuum for larger house , it was just to big and heavy for me , and to take up stairs , so i sent it back , but i am sure will be very good in right area

I got these Hoover bags for my mom and she is very pleased as they fit her vax vacuum cleaner perfectly & is impressed with the price. Not sure about the quality as just put in the first bag recently. Fingers crossed all will be well

Received this at 12.30 today. It was out the box and working within half an hour. What a difference it has made to the carpets. The vax ultra carpet cleaner solution is fab in fact just ordered more from vax direct as it is buy one get one free the now. The only problem I had was the solution pipe which pumps the water through has a hole near the end which enters the actual machine. Didn't stop me doing what I needed to do but I had to wrap a cloth around this just to stop the spray of water while I was doing it. I have contacted vax direct to see if they will send me another one as I feel it would be silly to send back the whole machine to change it.

Pros: The vacuum is reasonably powerful and better that most standard stand alone vacuums. Low cost. Amazing how much dirt it picks up and how much fresher the house smells after use.
Cons: Takes up a lot of space to store, especially with all the different accessories.. if the reservoir for water and detergent cracks and leaks it's not covered by the warranty, Vax claim this can happen with hot water or changes in temp. Emptying the dirty water container is not easy, if you use the bath or the toilet be careful because dirt pours out the gap where the vacuum hose is attached and goes everywhere. I find you have to rinse the head several times whilst shampooing to avoid spraying some dirt back out.

An excellent bit of kit as a carpet cleaner, we rarely use it for vacuuming. We have a dog and with the solution it cleans very well. Only minus I can think of is that I would prefer a trigger solution release than the supplied foot release.

I love this. The carpet-washing function works really well, and it's well-designed so that, although you have the slight hassle of swapping inner chambers, everything fits together very well and it's extremely easy to assemble, de-assemble, and clean up. I didn't realise till using this vacuum cleaner that our previous one was so useless. This one is powerful! I can't imagine getting more cleaning power for the money. It also seems to be very well built, and I'd expect it to last many years. (I know people who have pretty old ones in the previous, very similar, model.)

i had my last one 12 years if this one lasts half as long i will be very happy they are sturdy,good long metal pipes,long cable can reach all the rooms without having to keep unplugging it. picks up all kinds of dirt on the first pass. easy to carry or pull it on its wheels, very stable

Arrived promptly and well packaged. Having had a Dyson before- quality of finish not great compared to my previous Dyson. I had bought this with a view to clean carpets and do the cleaning. The "dry" clean was not great so never bothered with the "wet" clean. The connections were not great and keep falling off. Quite bulky as well. In the end swapped it in a Dyson offer.

my friend recommend me this carpet cleaner/hoover. well, this is one of my best purchase ever ! super easy to use.... very nice structured .... quite big and loud but it sucks the dirt and spilt. if you have a house with carpet on the floor this is a must. because this is a hoover as well you can save some storage space.one minus : it doesn`t have a button for cable so the cable stays outside.

Great product, delivered quickly and easy to set up. Cleaned extremely well on my carpet and with the non vax solution, my carpet looks great and smells great. It is quite loud and vaccing for a long period of time can ring in your ears but apart from that I have no issues with this vacuum and very pleased I purchased it.

Essential for the home. The brush head is no good with animal hairs though. Good suction and works well. Blocks easily though. That is no problem providing you keep an eye on what you are sucking up.

Had amazing results with carpet shampooing ! My son has beige carpets and very small children, we cleaned his carpets while he was away and he was amazed ! Bit fiddly until you get used to it but would certainly recommend
