- + Этот пылесос одно БОЛЬШОЕ достоинство! или целая куча разных по величине достоинств)): Боже, храни англичан, придумавших моющий VAX!
О, это чудо, а не пылесос! Его конструкция предельно проста,он резво бегает на 5 колесиках, у него отличная сила всасывания, он умеет все, что должен уметь моющий пылесос: моет горизонтальные и вертикальные поверхности, да еще и просто пылесосом работает! Помыть его после влажной уборки, все равно, что ведро от грязной воды ополоснуть! Да я швабру с губчатой насадкой дольше отмываю после одного прохода с ней по плитке));

I am blown away at the difference, this is obviously VAX's forte, because they are absolutely crap at the small bagless cylinders, which don't supply enough power to suck up anything, and the turbo brush fails again and again. I was so sick of phoning them to complain that yet another 'turbo[thats a joke] brush' had stopped turning. Eventually VAX even sent me a replacement cylinder, but I had originally bought an 'allergy' one for animal hairs, but if it can't even suck up hairs, how it be an allergy vacuum!
However, having used this just several times so far, as a hoover, I am thrilled at the difference in suction and how easy that makes lifting 'ALL' the hairs off the carpet, and as a result it actually looks cleaner! I really resent that I had to persist for so long with such rubbish ineffectual cylinders, with short flex, and short hose, and a pipe that falls off the nozzle, and a cylinder that doesn't hold anything substantial with the flip-down bottom that never lets anything out because of the bad design its all stuck in the walls of the cylinder and the filter inside.
Pro's: good suction, carpet looks visibly cleaner, good length hose (actually does the length ofthe stairs!), excellent length flex, its travels very lightly round everything easily, just discovered that the tools 'dock' on the bottom trim.
Con's - the colour, hate it! the flex has nowhere to go when not in use?, the flex and tube have nowhere to store, you have to use bags, the attachments don't seem to fit the tube but fall off!? I don't think any vacuum is easy to take upstairs and this does seem to require a lot of hands, with flex, hose/pipe, and unit (because there's no stowaway options).
I haven't tried the wash function yet, but will need to do that soon also and will update.
How can one reduce allergens without a powerful suction on their vacuum???
I had comme back to update on this as I have now used the wash function, and the whole report has disappeared?????
it kinda turned into an ad for Vanish instead of Vax... because the washing of the carpet does not show me the clear lines between dirty and clean carpet that the ad would have you believe!
I have used all of the two bottles of carpet cleaner supplied and many refills and empties, just to do one area not even a quarter of my carpet, and the bit to come clean? Its the bit where I've vanished stains repeatedly in the past.
So I consider its actually down to the power of the Vanish I used, rather than the vacuum, as the stuff supplied didn't produce this result, but where the vanish had been repeatedly used to remove a stain historically the carpet colour underneath did rather magically appear again!
Its not easy, and took a lot of time to keep going over and over, with repeated refills.
to work it best seems it requires very very slow application and extraction, with a short back and fore rather than a long sweep forward as you apply and a long sweep back as you extract. This didn't seem to make any visible difference at all.
Pro's - the lovely long flex does wrap easily around the top of the Vax, and its a work horse, the swap over from dry to wet use is very simple.
Con's - many steps involved in swapping from dry to wet and back, easy to do, but a faff nevertheless. The respresentation of cutting swathes of bright gleaming carpet through the dirt is wrong, its a time, energy, water, product intensive job and works better if you have already treated the whole carpet with something like Vanish, which is wrong.

For your money you get a two chambered, 4 wheeled vertical cylinder cleaner with a top motor unit held in place by two easy to locate & lock clips.
While all this is plastic it does all seem well made & durable.
On top of the vacuum there are two waterproof switches, a red one for the vacuum motor and a green one for the water pump.
There is also a large handle on top for carrying.
The hose is longer than you would usually find on a vacuum and the two extension poles are made of metal so will be pretty durable.
While this is a dry vacuum cleaner and some may want to combine both uses to extend the value for money, (simply open the lid and place the filter and bag inside then use the dry vacuuming head), this really is most likely to be mostly bought for it's cleaning abilities. That's certainly why I bought one.
To clean you will need to attach a clear tube that runs from the top of the unit to the cleaning head at the business end of the extension poles. This needs to be wrapped around the hose a few times then clipped into place using the plastic clip provided. This is a bit fiddly as the tube must be squeezed quite hard to fit into the clips. If I wanted to use this as a straightforward vacuum too then to be honest having to keep taking this tube off then refit it would soon begin to get on my nerves. The tube and the clips are also not the sturdiest of objects so I would question just how long they would put up with being pulled on and off before they break.
As it is I just leave them on as I use another vacuum for normal sweeping.
Once the hose & it's accessories, including the clear plastic cleaning head, are fitted you're ready to fill the tank.
40 ml of cleaner to 1 litre of warm water is about right. Rather than adding more detergent for very dirty rugs you would be better off giving them a second clean once they have dried.
You'll need around 3 litres as you have to pull a small hose out of the underside of the motor unit to drop into the solution for suction. Too little solution will mean nothing coming through the tube and no cleaning! Just wait for the solution to start running through the tube and you'll know you've got it right.
Hit the red motor switch and the green pump switch.
In truth the cleaning head is a little flimsy and when the fluid starts bubbling out it onto the rug it does look a little unimpressive. There is a bright orange foot switch on the cleaning head, click that back and push the head forward slowly to add the solution and then when you reach the end click the orange switch forward and drag the head slowly back across the section you have just wetted.
As it turns out adding the solution to the carpet is no big deal, just so long as you are slow and even it will soak in and the cleaning agent will do its job.
It's the vacuuming up of the dirty liquid that really matters and it's here that this Vax really does the job. The suction on this beauty is way in excess of what you would expect for its relatively modest motor size. If you are cleaning a small to medium rug you will need someone or something to weight down one end as this will simply create a vacuum so strong it'll drag the rug backwards with it! This means that as much of the liquid as possible is removed. The carpet will be as dry as possible and more of the dirt will be lifted.
This machine really does make a huge difference to even relatively clean looking carpets & rugs.
It does still leave liquid on the cleaned area and this will take around 24 hours to dry in a warm area after one standard clean.
This does come with an upholstery brush for furniture but I've not tried it yet.
The dirty water will collect at the very bottom of the machine. I simply empty this into a container to dispose of. There will also be around a litre or so of clean solution left in the top tank. I empty this into a jug and then pour into a cleaned plastic drinks bottle. It's totally clean so it's fine to use again, ( just up the temperature of the new solution to make up for the saved cold stuff). Just keep it in a dark place, ( some of the ingredients are light sensitive) and away from the inquisitive little fingers of your nippers.
NEGATIVES
Takes a bit of setting up
Will soon become a right old faff if you want to keep swapping between wet & dry cleaning
The solution tube & wet head are not the sturdiest
It's not the quietest
The clip holding the tube to the plug at the motor end on mine didn't work and leaked. (only had to gently screw on a little proper jubilee clip to fix this. If it happens to you don't over tighten as the plug is plastic)
Requires patience as you need to move slowly to clean most effectively
Heavy
The instruction booklet was easy to follow but some text would have been helpful
There's no cable rewind (although it'

Right onto the washing function. I must admit I cheated here a bit because I watched a couple of videos on youtube to see how to put it all together and see it perform. The manual that comes with it isn't that detailed and is mostly just drawings so I'm glad I watched the videos. Remember to release the little hose under the motor so that it goes into the solution tub. After putting it all together, which is pretty easy once you know what you're doing, it worked like a dream. I was surprised I used a whole tub full of solution for my rug so I've probably over wetted it. I did go over some areas of my rug several times though. But the powerful suction got nearly all the water out of the rug leaving it just damp. It's back to its original bright pattern now and you can tell the cream areas from the grey again and the other colours are nice and bright. I couldn't believe the state of the water that came out of it as the rug didn't have any big stains on it just general dirt and had gone dull. The water was black and there was loads of grit, fluff and hair in it. Sorry to say the hair's mine as I haven't got any pets.
Cleaning the Vax afterwards is a doddle, just rinse the tub, tubes and head and leave them to dry. It looks like it hasn't been used again now.
There are 3 slots on the side of the machine for 3 on board tools. The upholstery brush, groove tool and small dry head for the vacuum. The wet tools you can keep separately in the washing solution tub, which is about the size of a large washing up bowl, so easily stored in a cupboard somewhere. For washing you get the hose for the solution, a large wash head and a smaller one for upholstery or stairs and small areas. You also get a bottle of carpet shampoo and 3 dust bags with it to get you going.
Now I've used it I can thoroughly recommend it. Don't forget you get a 2 year guarantee with it and it only takes a couple of minutes to register it on line.

The order came quickly (Amazon Prime) however the product didn't work, it seemed the water feed system was faulty in some way (the dry vac side of it came on and is very powerful). Now I contacted Amazon and they quickly arranged to pick up the defective product and deliver a new one (actually the next day but as I couldn't be in, had to delay it for a couple of days). Can't complain as these things happen from time to time and it was dealt with well.
So I set it up as the instructions show (which once you've done it once, is pretty simple and straight forward), filled the water tank, added the cleaning solution and hoped it would a reasonable job of cleaning up the patches. To be honest I was just hoping it didn't make a mess and would show some worth at all. The result was truly shocking, my carpet was much dirtier than it had looked (you don't notice the slow decline in its brightness) ! The cleaning instructions suggest a push forward and a slow drag back, this had little effect on the carpet at first. If you did it several times it started to pickup and clean. I quickly realised it worked much better on the stairs with short almost scrubbing backwards and forward motions. I should also point out I was using the upholstery nozzle as the carpet one is a bit big for the steps and as you get near the edge will flop down as the back end isn't supported. My only "complaint" is it drinks like a fish ! The tank holds 4 litres and you need 40ml of cleaning solution per litre, I refilled the tank 4 or 5 times doing the whole stairs and landing (but the result was worth the time and effort). I also used the carpet nozzle on our rug and that looks nicely refreshed (as its black you can't see it looking cleaner but all the fibres are standing up more and it looks like it did when new). I even gave the sofas a coat of looking at with it. The arms in particular had those shiny marks of use, but with a quick going over, all gone and looking new again.
With this on offer for around

First I had to buy spare parts since it was missing quite a few. I had to buy the black rubber seal and conical duct, a spare wheel, and a new water delivery tube since it was far cheaper than to replace the clips.
On using the wash mode I could see water being swilled around in the carpet wash head. It didn't look like it was being sucked up, and the carpet was saturated and still muddy looking. I tested out the nose and noticed barely any suction. The hose pipe was perfectly clear of obstruction as I had just hoovered earlier and it was working fine.
I contacted Vax support centre and after ruling out everything from blocked hose pipe to a damaged motor unit they were suggesting buying a whole new hoover. Whilst I let them rattle on enthusiastically about their offers for a new machine I continued digging around online for anything about loss of suction in wash mode and discovered I was missing the ball valve. The support centre told me they didn't sell the valve separately and that I'd have to buy the whole clean bucket unit. I however found a site that offered the ball valves separately and snatched one up for just a few quid.
After replacing the ball valve I tested the unit and the suction had been restored, however it was now spewing water out from inbetween the motor unit and clean water unit and also from the water pump male adaptor. I contacted Vax again for advice and theirs was that the seals were damaged and that water would've gone into the motor, although the seals on inspection were undamaged and the motor and blue filter underneath it were dry. They said they could do an out of warranty maintenance on it that would cost almost the same as a new hoover and if it was unfixable they'd replace it. Once again they were suggesting buying a new model instead and I politely declined.
While it's not spitting out a huge amount of water it seems to be working just fine at cleaning the carpet. It's managed to remove a fair amount of yuck however it doesn't cover as much area as people say it does, and the carpet still remains fairly wet when turning off the water feed on the carpet wash head (although nowhere near as saturated as it used to be.)
I'm semi-happy with it since the dry hoover mode works pretty well, although having to do surgery on it each time it gets blocked is a chore requiring unravelled wire hangers to get through the bends, and often at times the pipes dismantle themselves when hoovering. The leakage in wet mode doesn't help and my husband is still unconvinced it's as good as I made it out to be when I first bought it, as am I now after this experience.

Storage space is a bit tight in our house as it is only a small terraced one so an upright was out of the question. The technical details of this read well so I decided to purchase.
Dry Vacuuming -
It is EXCELLENT. It is very powerful and does a great job of sucking up the dog hairs and bits when used for dry vacuuming. The hose is long and so is the electric cable. The Crevice Tool, Dusting Brush and Upholstery Tool all store on the bottom of the canister which is a great boon. The metal extension tubes are in 2 pieces and not expandable/adjustable but this does not present a problem. The pistol grip type handle is very comfortable to hold and being on castors the machine pulls along very easily. It is a little noisy but it is powerful so yhou would not expect it to be quiet. Is it nowhere as loud as the Dyson. The dogs are a little unsure, but they are not keen on any vacuums, and my husband has not moaned about the sound. I found it a bonus that the tools that I have for my other Vax, also fit this one (the large and small Turbo brushes) so that was a nice bonus.
Carpet Washing -
It is very easy to remove the dust bag and dry filter section and then to insert the wet tank. It can take up to 4 litres of warm water and on the regular strength washing solution you use 40ml per Litre of water. Just unclip the uptake tube, snap on the lid and that part is done. It is easy to attach the water carrying tube, and there are clips to stabilise it on the flexible hose. Turn on the power, press the green button to activate the pump, flick the water outlet to open on the wash head and off you go.
Don't linger too long as you could easily over wet the carpet. I found it best to do small areas at a time and then to shut off the water to the wash head, and turn off the green button for the pump and then the water and dirt was sucked up really well from the carpet. It is best to use a pulling back action for this, and like I do when vacuuming, I did go in different directions. It is not a quick job to execute but it is worth taking the time as the carpet came up very nice looking. Downstairs in our terraced house the layout is open plan with a lounge/dining room and so there is a lot of traffic over the flooring. Taking this into consideration and the fact that the carpet is about 8 years old the result was very good. I used the AAA Carpet Cleaner for Homes with Pets and it was brilliant. The dogs are not allowed upstairs, so for the stairs and the upper rooms I used the solution that came with the Multivax and that too did an excellent job. After the carpets had dried thoroughly, I then did a thorough vacuum. The overall result is softer feeling, better looking fresh smelling carpets. I have not used it on upholstery yet, but I did use the upholstery wash head on the stairs as it was much easier than the large head.
Remember to leave the hose and metal tubes out to dry before you use for dry vacuuming otherwise all the dust will cling to the insides. To make sure the tubes were dry I got some kitchen roll and pushed it through with a stick.
Because this Vax is designed for wet or dry use, it can also be used to suck up spilt liquid. Just take out the dry dust bag and then suck up in the normal way. You will not need to affix the shampoo hose because you are not applying any solution, just cleaning up! After use, dry tubes as advised above.
Excellent price from Amazon and I can thoroughly recommend this Multivax and am sure I will get many years of service from it.
Spare Dust Bags and Filter Set are good value from Amazon so I purchased those at the same time so as to be ready when needed. This Vax does come with some bags and also a bottle of Cleaning Solution. If you buy the concentrated solution in the future, you will only need to use 20ml to 1 litre of water.

The machine itself seems very well made and sturdy. The wheels all rotate nicely to allow it to be tugged over a variety of surfaces with ease. The range of attachments is reasonable and the cord flex is very long indeed which together with the long length of hose make for an easy task of moving about from one area to another. It's loud of course but not as loud as some I've used. The instructions are very straightforward and after reading with a cuppa I felt confident about changing it from Dry vac to wet vac mode and it was indeed only a few moments to do this. I've read reviews on this product that say its difficult, I can only imagine these people have very limited ability with following straightforward instructions or simply didn't really read them properly! Anyway, performance wise as a dry Vac it was very good indeed, one of strongest suctions I've experienced and far better than a Dyson we owned a few years back. These type of vacs always seem to have better suction than uprights to me. It gets into corners pretty well and any awkward areas can be reached using one of the three dry vac attachment tools. It comes with 3 spare bags and we've used it quite extensivley over the weekend and not even filled 20% of the first bag yet so loads of capacity. It has easy to remove filters, a good string carry handle and is not overly heavy but not light as a feather either.
Onto wet mode then. The change takes around a minute with the most fiddly bit attaching the shampoo hose to the flex hose with the clips provided but once that bit is done, the rest is 'clunk click' easy peasy. You take out the dry vac tub and put in the wet vac water resevoir, drop the hose sucker into the water from beneath the motor housing lid and you're ready. It holds 4 litres of cleaning water which is ample for 2 dirty cars, 1 very dirty car or as in our house 1 very dirty hallway carpet (about 5 square memters). The best method is to follow the instructions and put water down in forward strokes and then flip the water feed switch off and suck it back up on the backward stroke a bit like mowing a lawn. Really very straightforward and not at all like hard work. You can see the dirty water being sucked up as the attachment heads are clear. When the water runs out it is obvious as the hose stops feeding the water and you can't see any more suds and so its time to empty your tank. This is the most satisfying bit as you see all the black water going down the plug hole! Even carpet that looks clean produces thick black dirty water!! The hand attachment makes it easy in a smaller area like on a mattress, a small rug or car carpets/seats. It comes with a bottle of cleaning fluid that has a nice pleasent smell. If you follow the instructions then the carpets dry out within an hour or two and then you should dry vac the cleaned carpet to get it looking like new.
So, all in all it does what you want it too with ease and for the price is, I think, a really great bit of kit. The only reason I've not personally given it 5 stars is because as usual with these types of vac, once assembled for one use, you are left with a bunch of parts and nowhere to keep them. One day someone will invent one that contains BOTH the wet drum and dry drum allowing you to swap them but keep them on the machine and not in a pile in the corner. The same applies to the power cord flex which would be so much better if it was the auto retract type that stored the cable within rather than having to wrap it around the lid. Finally the tool attachments. Only the dry vac attachments can be stored on the vac itself so again you have a pile of bits which is worse when you are using it as a wet vac as you have the bag out also. Why don't they just add a few more tool carrying slots on it, there's room! The tool carriers are also not that great and if the vac is bumped over a carpet joiner for example the tools fall out. This being my only negative points still makes this machine a good 4 out of 5. At the end of the day it works very well, is cheap and easy to use and seems strong and robust so well worth the investment if you have any carpets! It's already been requested to be loaned so must be okay!
