Great product, purchased this modem router to replace my old ATT modem that went out on me.Set up was very good and easy, all I did was go to the website that TP-Link gave in the instruction manual.I bought to stream NetFlix, and it works just fine, I have mine connected through power line adapters, I have had no problemswith the network my laptop works fine as well, just make sure you have a working model, because I had to send the first one backthen Amazon shipped the new one the next day and have had no problems, I would recommend the TP-Link TD-W8960N 300Mbps 4Port 10/100M 802.11n/B/G Wireless N ADSL2 Modem Router this is an ADSL model. Great product.

Very easy to setup and use. I didn't find any different between this item and other high cost item slike Cisco. So far i don't have any issues with this product. I am using it every day for my office and personal work.

Was a little difficult to get setup with my computer. I had to call ATT and get some info but with a late night I got it going and it has had been working greatever since.

It works, but it is not competable with Nettalk Duo telephone service.Spend a few more dollars and get a better unit.

Works really well, but configuration isn't for the novice. I would recommend this to friends and family or anyone who is looking for a router. It better than the netgear 2000DNG i have.

I recieved my router in two days, because my Gateway was down. I was able to install the new router in no time. just had to follow the instructions, works like a charm, even in the garage.

I was looking forward to this item, spend half a day trying to install item for ATT dsl, could not correct failed items listed, several hours spent on internet and found many others had same listed items fail. I did try all suggestions with no result. Too much time spent on this item.

At first worked well the after 2 weeks wouldn't let done devices to the Internet downloaded new firm ware no help after another month quit working all together now can't send back what a crappy product can't blame amazon buyer beware went with AT&T modem router

I replaced my old Dsl modem and belkin router because one or the other was slowly going out and needed to constantly be reset. After receiving the TP-Link WL RT TD-W8960N 300M WL-N I was happy to find easy to follow instructions with whatever information you need based on your internet service provider and location. The set-up cd worked flawlessly and everything from naming the network to setting a password was easily done. I use ATT dsl and was sure to have my account name and network password at the start. Set-up was completed in approximately fifteen minutes and has been running flawlessly for the past week. I have had no dropped connections and have used the router wirelessly with five different devices, mac mini, pc, iphone, and two WII's. I have noticed improved speeds over my old wireless g connection. I'm only giving four stars at this time but will move up to five if I have no problems in the next few months.

Get the basic information from your ISP as indicated in previous reviews & setup will be a breeze. Read setup steps closely as some information may not be needed for your specific installation and could be slightly confusing. Modem/router has performed flawlessly with good signal strength. I AM HAPPY!

Purchased this unit to replace my failed ActionTec 5000PK (port forwarding ceased working). Also nice step up to wireless N. I spent some time on tech support chat with CenturyLink prior to purchase to ensure it would work. Arrived promptly and worked out of the box. Setup with CenturyLink in Colorado Springs hassle-free (since I had obtained the required info prior).

Well im a gamer i play alot of FPS like COD and what not on my computer and i got this i was skeptical about it but im glad i bought it i notice a 2% more on my download and i am getting 100kbp/s more on my upload that was predicted im suppose to get 488 was getting 345 and now im gettin 451 and i noticed a small drop in my ping from my old POS router that the company gave me on my games which is a big plus if ya game online as for the wifi it was simple and the range was better than expected it works well with windows 7 with no problems and all in all it too me from the time i opened it and got back online was about 5 min if ya have ya info there is a few company's on firmware they dont list which mine was one of them "frontier communications" they did have the option "other" and did the 0/35 put in my username and password the plastic looks and feels like metal to me instead of some cheap plastic which is a plus it did however get alittle warm and its a preference of my too always keep things cool as possible so i did put it on top of my computer case (CM HAF 922) which has a 200mm fan on top and i put the modem on the very back and that seemed to work like a charm all in all i really like this modem/router i would recommend to buy it

I was having all sorts of problems with my old dsl modem and knew I needed a new one. After reading the reviews on this one, I decided to try it.I could not be more pleased. Once I set it up all of the issues I was having disappeared. I recommend this one.

I got one in a very short time like in 2 days, it was very easy to install, I had some problems with the wireless since it got disconnected continuously but I fixed by changing the channel and now it have been working without any issue.

This is a nice little ADSL router, but not really built for VPN. The tunnel times out after an hour and has to reconnect, so if you have a backup job that takes more than an hour, the time out will destroy your backup job. I tried to increase the time over and hour, but it won't let you have a connection longer than an hour. Technical support is non existent. I emailed them my questions; no response. I called them; no response. You are on your own with this one, so you can get the ADSL to work and basic routing, but anything advanced it won't handle.

I recently got a new Att dsl line and the f90 modem they sent me is defective, so without going into too much details, I bought this TP-link modem/router from a local vendor to replace the crapped out modem from Att. However after days of struggling with this device, it turned out to be a cheap quality junk as well.First - their setup CD changes Windows network DHCP settings from automatic to static, and that is without notifying.Second - it cannot keep solid dsl connection. It may work for a few hours, then drops connection every few minutes. I had to restart the modem all the time to establish connection again.Third - automatic DHCP server in the router does not work. I had to restart the router again and again to make it recognize other computers on my home network.Fourth - the device gets pretty hot. Almost all routers I've used can be positioned horizontally or vertically. This unit can only be placed horizontally and its ventilation holes are located at its bottom, not top. This makes the unit unable to disperse heat, in addition to taking up too much room.All the mentioned problems were solved by returning this unit for another brand.

Read many reviews and decided on this modem/router. It works like a charm and has never dropped me off the internet. The range is all I had hoped for. Would buy again, and again, and again.

I purchased this product after reading the reviews on this site. Set up was truly simple it allows you to create your own security key and and rename if wanted. It looks really stylish but I DID NOT notice any improvement on wi-fi connection or internet improvement. I do ALOT of online gaming and when I connected this wirelessly to my ps3 I immediately had a NAT type of strict (first time this has ever happened). The unit failed to consistently keep a connection and yes it does definitely heat up. All in all I wasnt overly pleased with the unit and that is why I sent the item back. Ill just try and figure something else out. I adjusted settings and btw the guy from Tp-Link was awesome and basically told me that not a difference in productivity from wireless g to wireless n routers.

Product was returned for credit. I really don't know what the problem was with the unit. It may have been a manufacturing problem initially. I'm sure that not all of this product works the same.

I'm currently using this hooked up to my computer, as it doesn't work independently like I thought it would.** Oh well...It's light years faster than the previously little hunk-o'-junk Verizon gave us. I'm not certain how it stands up when four electronics are using wireless at the same time; it should hold up well, though.Sorry, 'bout this review; I'm kinda technologically impaired. |D_________________________________**Since fiddling around, I've found that the desktop doesn't have to be physically connected with the modem, which is good, as I no longer have to wait 8 hours for my brother to get off 'Live to use the computer. My brother is fond of blaming me for the lag that occurs on his Xbox 360 when we both use the modem/router.

Buying a new router/modem can be a nightmare. It's not bad enough that they are somewhat expensive but they vary greatly in quality. Based on the ratings left previously on Amazon, I bought this router for my home. I am thoroughly impressed. It has been running non-stop for 5 months without a single drop out so far. In fact, the one time we thought there was a problem (it turned out it was our ISP not the router) the tech support took care of our needs quickly AND the lady on the phone spoke English which was totally refreshing. I liked the TP Link so much that I have purchased additional TP Link products for other applications as well.

It is just like the other reviews have said, it sets up easily and it keeps working. I haven't had it drop a connection yet and that is incredible in comparison with the other routers I have used. I had wanted the dual band option but after I thought about it there was no reason to pass this item over because the router it is replacing was a top end dual band router but it did not work as well. This one gets better coverage all through the house and it is so important that it does not drop the connection. It is easy to fall for all the fancy talk about the feature claims on some of the routers but if the product is not quality then it won't live up to the hype. This is the best router I have used yet, and it has a built in modem for convenience.Also I would like to thank the other reviewers for their input. If it had not been for them I would not have tried this item. I think Amazon has the most accurate customer reviews out there and I give them a lot of consideration before buying a product. I recently had one manufacturer (Microsoft) solicit me for a review of their product and when I gave them an honest but critical review they refused to publish it, you can imagine how much credibility I will give their customer reviews in the future. But Amazon is top of the line.

I'm giving it 4 stars at the moment, because I haven't used it long enough to attest to the longevity of the product ... as with all modems, to make sure the device runs properly in the long term, keep it in a cooled area or at least don't stack it up on other devices to create a heat trap ... installation was very easy ... pop the CD in and follow the steps ... get your username and password from your DSL provider for the configuration, and you are done ... during that process you'll also set up your wireless network name and password (initial set up with the ethernet cable), so as soon as this is done, you can remove the ethernet cable and get on the internet wireless ...i normally don't do reviews for Amazon products, except for ones where there are diverging reviews ... so seems to be the case with modems ... a bunch of 5 stars and a bunch of 1 stars ... from my experience, as long as you follow the instructions, with this product you should have a very satisfied experience even though I never heard of this brand before ...
