Диапазон WiFi является очень бедным. мы не получает сигнал из одной комнаты в другую и даже USB слишком медленно. Для передачи файла 800 МБ через локальный WiFi с мобильного телефона на флешки в маршрутизатор USB это ушло почти 40 минут.

У меня был неудачный опыт с одним я купил через один из мелких продавцов Амазонки. Это был какой-то патч программное обеспечение, которое предотвратило его использование в любой сети, кроме BT. В меню перечислены десятки интернет-провайдеров в том числе и моя, которая была девственницей (чья телефонная линия обслуживания были переданы разговоры разговаривать) и устройства, подключенного к Деве совершенно счастливо, и беспроводной сигнал был отличный, но он отказался предоставить какие-либо фактические доступ в интернет! Вместо интернета все это дало бы была страница БТ информационная служба. Я потратила буквально часы на телефон, как Деве линии и собственные линии ТП Линка и noboody ничего не знал о проблеме. Дева/разговоры разговаривать заверил меня, что загадочные страницы не было создано ничего в их конце, и предложил мне пойти на форумы пользователей Интернета (что было бы трудно без модема!). В конце концов я сдался и взял его приятеля, БТ телефонной линии широкополосные поддержки. Устройство мгновенно подключается к его системе и дал очень хороший Wi-Fi диапазона, поэтому он хранил ее и заплатил мне за 20£. Я может быть просто не повезло и что бы патч был причиной проблемы не может быть во всех этих единиц, но если вы не БТ поддержки я бы поостерегся покупать один.

Ух ты, это очень разочаровал. Я привел это в качестве замены для talktalks Д-Линк вам поставки которых находится на грани ужасного, больше, чем 2 человека, что просто не могу справиться с трафиком.<бр /><бр />плюсы: это ТП-Линк обеспечивает для транспортировки ноутбуков и компьютеров и хороша для онлайн-игр, которые я ищу, но это не приходят без жертв...<бр /><бр />минусы: это TP-Link не как вы с помощью телефонов или планшетов. Никто из моих соседей по квартире (4 человека в общей сложности) может держать стабильное соединение с маршрутизатором на iPhone, Andoids компании Nokia. В этот день и возраст, эти минусы намного перевешивают плюсы. Можно утверждать, что в доме подключение воротам, но дешевый Д-Линк предоставленных коммунальных обрабатываются мобильных телефонов и планшетов просто так его явно неисправность в роутере.<БР />

I have a box of over 10 of these, all in various stages of remaining function. The point with this was, even a brand new Billion Sky from the box resulted in the more than occasional drop and often needed to be power-cycled.Finally I went to Pantip Plaza and asked for the best modem they carried. The True technicians had already told me the Dlink was the one to get, and the shops at Pantip confirmed this. At first I was excited with the Dlink DSL-2542b. More speed, no drops, and a reasonable price of baht 1800. Even though it took two True technicians two days to get it to work in a bridged mode with my Linksys WRT-350n Wireless N router, I was still happy because it was the first modem that worked without dropping. Then after less than 24 hours it dropped and required power cycling. It seems that every 24 hours, give or take, the Dlink would drop until it was power cycled.A reader wrote in explaining that when running torrents the modem required an unusual number of connections and they probably weren't clearing from the buffer without a power-cycle reset. This makes sense, though I had no way to verify. Thank you!I'd already ordered another unit, just in case, and it was on its way from the US. In the few short weeks it took for the new unit to arrive, the Dlink DSL-2542b's performance degraded noticeably. Speed decreased, power-cycle resets were required every 4-5 hours vs every 24 hours, and it started dropping like the Billion Sky from True. As most of the big name routers, including the Dlink and Billion Sky are manufactured in China, the TP-Links origin didn't bother me at all.Unpacking the TD-W8960n I noticed it had very clean lines, was small and light, and included the power supply, two antennas, two RJ11 phone cables, one RJ45 connection cable, and a single ADSL splitter/filter in the event you use a phone on the same line.The TD-W8960n is a single band (2.4ghz) wireless N/B/G wireless router with four physical Ethernet RJ45 ports, a standard phone line connection, and is rated to handle up to 24mbps download and 3.5mbps upload. As my connection is only 16mbps download and 1mbps upload this worked out fine.It includes built in VPN tunnel capability, QoS protocols directly supporting most popular applications, a 300mbps Wireless N transmission rate, and just about any security protocol you can imagine. I won't go into all of the features, but except for the 802.11a band (5ghz) I can't think of anything it doesn't have. I've had the 802.11a band on my wireless routers for the last 6-7 years and they never get used so no big loss there.The more I read over the specifications the more impressed I became. My 2Wire 2701HG modem/router was resetting itself constantly indicating it was time to replace it. I called at&t and they where asking $99 for a wireless modem/router which I found it was to much money. I was undecided between the TP-Link TD-W8960N and the Actiontec GT784WN. I read the reviews on both items and I decided for the cheaper one (TP-Link)crossing my fingers hoping everything go well with the installation. I didn't read any of the manuals that came in the package (first mistake I make). I just connected everything and ran the cd. I follow all the instructions until I get to the point where I have to select my provider but the problem was that there where like 5 options for at&t so I choose the one I though was correct. At the end of the setup I receive and error and the configuration wasn't able to complete. It was too late and I decided to do it next day. Following day I ran the cd config again and was getting the same error for that reason I decided to read the manual. In one of the books I found information regarding which at&t configuration to select (depending on which state you leave). To make this shorter I access the router thru the web browser (192.168.1.1) and ran the modem/router configuration from there. I right down my logging information and finish the configuration, the internet light come on indicating I had internet connection. I try to open a web page (yahoo, goggle) and I was redirected to an att password reset page I was unable to complete what the att page was asking for that reason I ended up calling att. They told me they where not going to be able to access my router because they are not trained to work with this one, I tell them that I was able to access the modem/router configuration page by myself and right down the information it was going to be needed (internet logging info username and password) for my surprise the password was going to be different from the one I used with the 2wire router/modem and was provided by att after that I was able to access the internet without problem, I found that it was faster even-though I have the lowest speed.I would recommend to:1) Read the manuals to identify which provider connection is offered in your area2)Run the configuration cd3) If the cd configuration didn't work for you access the modem/router thru the web browser4)Run the configuration that is built in the modem/router5) If the adsl and internet lights are on you should be able to access the internet if you are redirected to the provider page probably you will need to contact them so they can provide you a new password (in my particular case)I hope this can help. Maybe what I just write sounds complicated but it is not. Give it a try, is $50 cheaper.

This is a long review -but if it helps one person save all the time I spent trying to solve my problem then it is worth it.I had an old (@6 years) Westell modem/router from Verizon They were taken over by Frontier. My problems started with my ATT microcell, it was dropping connections throughout the day, every day. I had to reboot it to get it connected to my cell phones. My XP desktop connected fine with ethernet and my HP Touchpad and Vista laptop connected wirelessly OK, but my Windows 7 laptop nor none of my friends Windows 7 laptops could connect wirelessly. I bought a Sony Blu-Ray player and it couldn't connect wirelessly either. Nor could my Dish Hopper. When I got new Galaxy S3 smartphone for me and my wife, they couldn't connect with their Wifi to the internet either. I truly believe that a person should try to solve a problem on their own, because that is how you gain knowledge. I was seaching forums on the internet and trying everything they recommended, nothing worked. I tried going into the modem/router settings and changing parameters and nothing made a difference. Hours of trying to solve the problem and no success.The final straw was when my new Samsung SmartTV couldn't connect wirelessly that I bit the bullet and called Frontier and explained my problem. We went into the modem/router settings and there were setting the tech needed to change that were not there and he said call customer support for a new modem/router. They wanted $19.95 installation and $6.95 per month rental for an under $60.00 modem/router that I could get from Amazon. To top it off, the installation fee was really shipping and handling since they ship it to me and I had to install it. Thanks but, "No Thanks". The tech was great and gave me the parameters I needed to set up my own modem/router for their DSL. Looked at the reviews and picked this modem/router. In under an hour I had every piece of equipment on line and have not had to reboot the microcell one time in the weeks since I installed this modem/router. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

First off, the product works well once you get it set up. However, if you have Centurylink as your DSL provider, be aware that the setup instructions given by TP-Link will get you to a point where you are showing that you have the modem/router set up correctly but you will not receive a signal wirelessly.When I called TP-Link Customer service to walk through setting up (because it's not working they way they said to set up) they said I would have to contact Centurylink for the info needed to set up. Then, Centurylink (because they apparently only want you to rent/buy modem/routers from then instead of buying them elsewhere cheaper and with faster delivery) will NOT give you the info needed to set up unless you buy some monthly "help with non-Centurylink modems" plan, or buy one of their modem/routers!!!After 4 phone calls between TP-Link and CenturyLink which were mostly a waste of time (except the last one to CenturyLink, I did have the satisfaction of telling them what I think of their ways considering the amount of $$$ I pay them for both my home and my office telephone and DSL accounts), I finally figured out the settings needed to set up with Centurylink, and because I am a nice person I will give them to you so you won't have to spend 4 hours and much frustration getting this set up (I set up 2 of them, one for office and one at home, the home one took 4 hours, the office one maybe took 4 minutes because I had the settings straight).1. Connect everything per TP-Link Instructions2. Open IE (will show unable to connect to internet)3. In address bar type 192.168.1.14. For Username type in: admin and for Password type in: admin5. Choose Quick Setup6. These are the important things you need which Centurylink will refuse to provide: VPI: 8, VCI 35, WAN Link Type: IPoE, and it's a Dynamic IP Protocol (you will have places on the setup where you choose this information)Hopefully, Centurylink won't change any of their setting in order to further irritate future non-Centurylink modem/router purchasers.

I recently purchased a wireless router TP-Link WL RT TD-W8960N. I have Internet service through Time-Warner Cable. This router is not easily compatible with internet services provided by cable companies. I called technical support and below are the instructions I was forwarded by TP-Link to try to make the router work.The website, when I reviewed it, was not helpful at all, without any mention of the difficulty involved using this router with cable broadband providers. Getting through to customer service at TP-Link was difficult. I kept getting a message that no service reps were available and to please call back.This is a company I would avoid. A router not being readily compatible with internet cable service is just poor product design, the website was not helpful, reaching customer service is difficult and the setup instructions that you can see below are not simple without IT knowledge. If you ever have a problem with a product from this company you really do have a problem. My current ATT 2-Wire 2701HG-B has been resetting itself few times a day. After reviewing different modem/routers in Amazon, I bought TP-Link WL RT TD-W8960N 300M WL-N. Shipment came super fast. It took me 40 minutes to disconnect 2-wire and install TP-Link. Then, the nightmare began. The speed is like crawl.My DSL Direct suppose to provide 6M/768K service. I got speedtest.net reading of 1.7Mbps/0.55Mbps with 2-wire unit. This unit show 0.24-0.32 Mbps down stream and 0.61 Mbps upstream during speedtest. The down stream is way off. I called ATT. They indicated that they did not support this modem/router. I need to talk to the manufacturer. Called TP-Link Support. They insisted that I should get P2P software and download a file to test the speed. I understand the limit of speedtest.net. However, everything is relative. I was comparing the Speed test result with all other parameters remain the same except the modem/router. The result should be able to pinpoint the problem of their unit. Anyway, I installed Shareaza and download a file from TP-Link website. Shareaza show download speed is mere 22KB. After a few email communication with their tech support, change a few setup parameters, nothing seems work. They have to refer it to their headquarter in China. They got back to me the next day. They wanted me to return the unit to seller and get a replacement. I really don't feel it is a hardware problem. Wireless and rounter function looks fine. I believe it was the firmware and setup parameters did not communicate well with ATT Server.I don't want to spend another day working on the replacement. The chance to fail seems high. So I returned it for refund. My experience is for AT&T High Speed DSL Direct Service. Other ISP may be Ok. I gave credit for TP-Link, the apperance of the unit, fast delivery and 24/7 customer service. Thank you for reading. If you have better unit you can recommend for replacing ATT 2-wire unit, please let me know.

TP-Link WL RT TD-W8960N 300M WL-NReplaced my CenturyLink modem and Linksys wireless router with this one. I had intended to have a spare in case my modem/router went out. I didn't need the hassle of replacement under stressful conditions.Quick Install was available for CenturyLink in Tennessee. There is no login required with CenturyLink (Tennessee) so Quick Install had all the information it needed once I picked that option from the list. There are two selections available for CenturyLink but Tennessee is the one that uses dynamic IP addresses. So just pick that one. Just complete Quick Install and reboot. After the reboot it may take awhile as it is not instantaneous. It appeared that my selections were not saved but they did eventually "stick".Performance improved over my original setup. Pings were a little quicker and wireless throughput a little higher. Consistency of both a little more stable. I never had problems with dropped service and still don't. Wireless signal strength measures excellent (G band). The unit runs hot to touch. I put a spacer between it and the desk and that made a noticeable difference in the temperature. So far that has not been a problem. My old modem/router combination is now my backup. I gained a lot of desk space with the new unit. It has not dropped service once since installed about a week ago. BTW, the internet light will not blink even though it does a couple of times during installation. I read a review (recommended reading) on B&H that his did not blink either and he gave a lot of detail. Apparently it is not supposed to under the conditions used.

I've been running this router/modem for about a month with no issues. However, setup was unnecessarily difficult. The wireless component was up and running in seconds (very simple plug and play). The modem however required extensive setup and required me to contact my ISP for very specific info such as WAN service type, account name and password (not your network info but rather the ISP's account info specific to you) and PORT/VPI/VCI values. The ISP gave me all the correct information except they gave me the wrong VPI/VCI values. I was about to send this back until I did some research online to find the correct VPI/VCI values to enter for my specific local ISP connection.Once this guy was up and running, the performance was and has been very consistent and as expected.I was hoping for the white body model pictured but received the other blue plastic model pictured. Just an esthetic preference really.Overall I would recommend buying this guy to avoid the monthly modem/router lease from your ISP. However, you may have a rather complicated setup as I did.Cheers,Drew

Setup was fairly easy. The CD ROM for setup was useless for me- kept getting error 006. Luckily all I had to do was to do was go to the web address: 192.168.1.1 and use the online setup while connected with my Aircard and the TP-Link's ethernet cable. I had to call Century Link to get my username and password; also, ppp= ppoe; vpi=0; and vci=35. I obtained all that from Century Link Tech Support; along with the obligatory warning that I would have to get an IT person out to my house to setup my router/modem because I didn't get it from them. Fortunately, the TP-Link "Quick Setup" tab worked great and I was up and running in minutes. There is also a downloadable 13.0 MB "EasySetupAssistant" on TP-Link's regular web site.An "Advanced Setup" tab exposes numerous other settings for highly customizing your connections. In addition, there is a "Diagnostic" tab that quickly assesses multiple aspects of your TP-Link's connection. TP-Link's online tools appear comparable to those of Netgear, etc. However, as with the others, there is limited helpful info for understanding and adjusting advanced parameters. Consequently, if one needs to make advanced adjustments such as QoS one has to consult internet resources for a "primer" on all the advanced parameters and capabilties.The "Device Info" tab on the TP-Link web site lists a firmware version for my unit that, as far as I can tell, does not compare meaningfully to the version numbers of the most recent Firmware avilable for download . Consequently, I chose not to install it as the unit is working fine- would not want to brick it.All in all I'm quite happy with the TP-Link TD-W8960N v3 0x00000002 wireless modem/router.Thanks to all those that wrote reviews saying it worked with Century Link; that helped in my decision. It saved me $41.00 over getting the Century Link sold $100.00 unit that is rated much worse (Actiontec).
