Si todavia no tienes un PS2 esta es tu oportunidad de conseguirlo. La version SLIM es la mejor xq' no solo es mas compacta sino de la ultima referencia capaz de pilotar todos los ultimos juegos nuevos ke en la version FAT ni sikiera arrancaban.

My son has not stopped playing with his ps2 since Christmas. It works great and all of his ps1 games work on it as well. It doubles as a dvd player which is also great!

The only differneces between the new slim and the old playstation 2 is a cooling issue. But, you have to leave the slim on for hours to overheat. Also, the slim's CD reader holds the disc which allows easier CD read.

The controller for the PlayStation 2 is probably the most comfortable and sturdiest pad that I've played with. Yeah, the Xbox controller is pretty cool, but the buttons on this controller are easy to reach and very responsive. Just be carful about buying a colored controller. They may look cool, but I think they're less sturdy than the black controllers.

When you buy a Playstation 2 it comes with a controller but if you want two people to play at once on a system this is a must.First of all it's first party made by Sony for use on Playstation 2, because it is made by the same company that makes the system itself it shall work perfectly on your Playstation2.It's also very durable, if you have the nasty habit of dropping your control on the floor or throwing it in rage it'll still last, unlike third party controls made by Madcatz, which don't last nearly as long.The control itself is a great design and fits perfectly in most people's hands.

Having owned a PS2 for a couple years now and being a die-hard Madden player I can tell you that I have used these controllers to thier fullest and they have always responded.The design of the controllers is second to none with every button of joy stick being readily accessible meaning that there are no awkward moves or buttons to avoid.The buttons also rarely jam or stick. This being said, the only buttons that ever seem to jam are the R2, L2 buttons and even then it is rare.The shocks on the controller are great. They add to the level of realism in games by linking you more to the characters' experiences.Finally, the durability of the PS2 controller is second-to-none. Admittedly, after hours of Madden a pick or a fumble gets frustrating and I have been known to throw the controller around a bit. It can handle being tossed, dropped, and generally banged around a bit... i cannot handle being beaten with a golf club or thrown into a cinder block wall.Anyway, as any PS2 user has found out, there is no better controller on the market and this alone makes me say that PS2 is superior to X-Box, a system that actually has a faster processor. So don't look for imitation controllers from other companies, stick to the real thing.

All the previous owners of PS ONE remembers how was the performance of the past generation of Memory Cards ,they were very unreliable with limited storage space which weren't enough if you had a large games collection ,I had a problem my self with one of the official memory cards when all the saved data on it simply vanished ,not only that but it started making conflictions with the PS unit ,and after the arrival of PS2 with the new 8 MB memory cards ,your troubles seems now a very faded memory .The PS2 Memory Card are sleek and elegant one ,with the black color to give a better look with your console ,now you can browse the saved data in interactive mode ,after you open the Memory Card's browser you will find that some saved games will have moving 3D Icons which gives more enjoyable meaning for dealing with your saved data ,the loading times are faster and beside all now you can rest assured that your data will not get removed by accident ,and you can see if any file has any kind of protection or not ,only one small drawback is that with the DVD format of PS2 games you will have to have more than one Memory Card if you have a large collection of games or if you are saving multiple files for each game ,but the overall feeling is excellent anyway .

Nothing can beat first-party accessories. Be sure to get this memory card, and nothing else. Third-party accessories are a lot more likely to fail. There's nothing worse than a corrupt memory card. Get this card and nothing else, it won't dissapoint.

The Playstation 2 8MB memory card is a must buy for any ps2 owner. It easily gets the job done without any problems, easy to save and has a whole lot of space for your games that need to be saved. This item is also very handy and compact so I can just go and take it over to a friends house and play a saved game with no problem. So go and buy this now if you don't already have it, totally worth the cost.

If you have tried any of the 3rd party controllers, then you will appreciate the function and feel of Sony's dualshock 2 controller. When making this controller, Sony consulted the most reputable source concerning what gamers want with a controller... the gamers. The new controller has a grips that are very comforting and natural to the hand, even after many hours of gameplay, the buttons have been improved drastically from its predecessor, the buttons have been lowered to their optimal height to allow for better control and less soreness. The internal vibrators and sensors have also improved, gamers who play games that take full advantage of these new features like Splinter Cell and Metal Gear 2 are fully aware and aprecative of this. Also, these controllers are extremely difficult to break, I have mistreated this controller many times and its still behaves with precision and accuracy. Having a more comfortable and better control of the game makes the game much more enjoyable, shelling out the few extra bucks to buy this controller will be well rewarded for a long time to come.

I went to the store and picked up a second one, which was much cheaper, by like 10 dollars. The official memory card is alright. I think this memory card can get flimsy though, as in worn. Sometimes when I put it in, it doesn't always read the memory card, so sometimes I feel like I am going to lose all my saves, but here it is, it is exactly like those other memory cards. I have a second memory card, it is yellow and has some black markings with a black circle. It was about 25 dollars, at the time, it was much cheaper than this memory card, and it still works exactly like this one. I would just go buy the cheapeast one you see.

First off, Sony does not support or recommend ANY third party products. This is for a very good reason. Sony has standards all companies have to meet in order to be supported (bear the PS2 or PS logo). Most third party equipment is made below these standards in order to cut costs. I have found that most third party equipment I have owned has broken very easily, caused my ps2 to malfunction, or even damaged supported sony licenced equipment. Any damage caused to your PS2 or equipment is NOT covered under sony's warrentee if the damage was caused by a 3rd party device.Next, the layout couldn't be much better. The 2 joysticks are located very comfortably and all the buttons and very easily accessed. The D-pad isn't in the greatest spot for some games, but most have either no commands for the d-pad or have commands that won't have to be accessed in a hurry. If you like the layout of the PSone controllers, you will like this one. The ps2 controllers can also take one hell of a beating without breaking (I have dropped it in water, spilled soda on it, thrown it at the wall, stepped on it, etc. and it still works fine).Finally, there is the addition of pressure sensitivity. ALL the buttons are now pressure sensitive, not just the joysticks. This plays a major role in many games on the PS2. Some games will not work with controllers that are not pressure sensitive because the pressure sensitivity is needed (ex: The Bouncer requires this. The harder you press the button, the more damage your attack does.)Overall, Sony did a great job with their PS2 controller.

First of all, let me give my credentials so people understand that I know what I'm talking about:-I know a lot about computers, and take great interest in technology.-I have been a Playstation owner since 1997, and bought a PS2 just this year.-I have played MANY Playstation games, as well as PS2 games.-I have used several peripherals on both the PS1 and PS1, including the 128k and 8MB memory cards.So, hopefully you believe me when I say that I know what I'm talking about.With all of that out of the way, I would like to clear up a LOT of confusion. I have read many reviews on here. Most of them completely contradict the review that came right before it. Unfortunately, it seems that many people are just making things up off the top of their head, without having any real first-hand experience. So, just what is the PS2 memory card capable of, and what is it compatable with? That's what I'm here to tell you.First of all, the PS2 card has an 8MB capacity. It reportedly transfers data 200 times faster than the original PS memory card. Well, I haven't actually used a stopwatch, but it's true that the PS2 card saves and loads much faster.Does the PS2 card work for PS1 games? Absolutely not. I've tried this with several PS1 games, testing them in both my PS1 console and PS2 console. Not a single PS1 game was able to tell that a memory card was even inserted in the slot. So, please disregard anyone who tells you otherwise.Does the PS1 card work for PS2 games? Again, a big fat NO. Think about it. Forget about weather or not PS2 games is able to to use the card. The important issue is the size of the files versus the size of the card. Most of the files on my PS2 card range from 300 to 600k, which is 3-6 times the capacity of the card. Just forget about it.One point of clarification I would like to make: the PS2 DOES recognise PS1 cards, but only if you are playing a PS1 game.That should pretty much clear up any misconception.As for my opinion of the PS2 card, I'll give it to you short and sweet: It's an essential part of the Playstation. As I said, it is very fast with its saves and loads. My one problem with this peripheral is the price. I payed an easy $30 for one of these things in a discount store. COME ON! It's only 8 Megs! I know that Sony has to manufacture these things specially, but think about this: memory has gotten remarkably cheaper.If you were to try to sell 8 Megs of RAM, you'd be lucky to get a dollar for it.An 8 Meg hard drive? Forget about it. 50 cents, tops.7 floppy disks give about 8 megs, and 7 floppies cost around 4 dollars.See what I'm getting at? I'm sure that there is a way to make these things cost much less than they do.But, like I said, it's an essential part of the Playstation.

I bought my PS2 in a set, 2 controllers, the ps2, and this memory card. It works just as well as my MadCatz 8MB memory card, but is about twice the price. I wouldn't recommend you buy this, but rather the MadCatz memory card.

Sony makes the highest quality of home entertainment products that are desgined to work together. If you save a few bucks and buy some el cheapo memory card, you may lose all your data at any given time and that sucks if you have 40+ hours on Final Fantasy X or a full season on Madden 2003.Stick with Sony, you won't be sorry.

The Dual Shock 2 controlled is simply a marked improment on the Dual Shock for the PSX system. 1. The Rumblers aren't as heavy which makes it easier to play games with. The original Dual Shock was very heavy and cumbersome.2. The buttons are pressure sensative which really makes a difference in games like Gran Turismo when you are pressing either the brake or the accelerator. The more you press on the button the more gas or brake your car recieves.3. The analog control sticks are spot on and make for tight controlled turns in both Gran Turismo and SSX. I love the analog sticks for that simple reason. I find the control pad isnt precise enough for those games and will ofter oversteer.4. The design is flawless it fits perfectly in your hands. Some of the other controllers are too big and hence awkward to hold in your hand and play games with.It's a great controller, every flaw in its predecessor was looked at and fixed. Sony did a great job here.

Controllers have widely evolved from the old days of bulkiness and ackwardness. The most memorable of controllers is the SNES one, which has benchmarked 'the system' and has set standards and innovative ideas for controllers to come.The early PSX controller was decent, and a first shot with the 'Analog Controller' resulted in a hefty and larger controller, lacking vibration and overally feeling ackward.However, the controller was reinvented (rather quickly if you ask me, probably to cover-up for the mistake of the Analog Controller), and the result was the DualShock. Incorporating the joysticks now with a textured convex rubber, an added joystick-tap functionality for the new buttons L3/R3, and marvelous inside vibration... this was by far the best controller ever. As small as the original controller with the exception of the added joystick slots, and somewhat heavier.. yet this is more of it's appeal; too light and too heavy is bad, the DualShock just -feels- right.Now, in a way the DualShock 2 was used in the PS2 to let people feel familiar with the already set controller, namely because, with the backward compatibility, it's hard to play games on a controller which wasn't meant for them. And even if it lacked this backward compatibility with the PSX, i'm pretty darned sure everyone would've wanted to see this controller again. It is by far the best, and will always be. You've got more than enough buttons for all your new games, and now with the 'pressure sensitive' factor, it's just a whole new thing. An added bonus as well, is the fact the cord is way longer than it's predecessor's.There's no real reason to go for a third party developed controller, because in my humble opinion... there is none that can get close enough to the DualShock's greatness.The only noticeable changes are the pressure-sensitive buttons, so if you've ever held a PSX DualShock, you know what you're getting with this. The best.

The way I see it, the best controllers are the NES, SNES, and Playstation controllers. All three of these have one thing in common: ridiculously simple button lay-out. Play with any of these three and you'll notice that you NEVER have to take your eyes off the screen to find the right button.I see a lot of people complaining about the price on this controller, but let's look at what you're getting. First of all, this controller has the vibration function, which makes the controller literally shake around. This is especially fun when you're shooting guns in games like Metal Gear Solid 2. Then there's the two analog controllers. However, just because they're there, doesn't mean that you are forced to use them--like with that dumb N64 controller. Every Playstation 2 game I've played so far still lets you use the D-pad--which an old-school gamer like me prefers. But if you want to use the analog controller, go right ahead, it's just a thumb-flick away.Everything I've mentioned up to here is pretty much common knowledge, but there are a few features on this controller that you weren't aware of: 1) This controller has AN EXTRA FOOT OF CORD when you compare it to the generic Playstation One controller. Now I can relax on the COUCH instead of the FLOOR. 2) The R2 and L2 shoulder buttons are LARGER, making it sooooo much easier to find them in the heat of battle. And 3) I recently saw a magazine advertising a product that lets you use the Playstation 2 controller on the Gamecube because "the Gamecube controller won't be ideal for all games." See, I told you the Playstation 2 controller was the best.So far I haven't had any problems with buttons sticking, and quite frankly, the only way I can see that happening is if you make a habit of dripping pancake syrup onto your controller, or throwing your controller at the wall. Controll yourself!

The PS2 controller is the best controller of the three systems. It fits nicely to mostly all of people's hands. Gamecubes's controler setup is comfortable but too confusing. Xbox's (as you might now) is a giant plastic rock. The PS2 controller has a perfect fit and design. It has a built in rumble feature and pressure sensitive buttons and has very easy to reach buttons. In my opinion it is perfect.

There are long games that are impossible to do in one sitting. The memory card can save several games so you can start where you left off without starting the game over.

this little gadget is priceless, many say the other versions are better cause they bigger, but that doesn't mean it will gell with your hand.the dual shock on the other hand is convenient, it's not too small and not too big, its made by sony so no worries their, and the keys are are your fingettips, no sore hands after a couple of hours of gameplay.also being analog, the harder you press the more the result, this is very obvious in metal gear solid, whereby the harder you press the more bullets are fired.for me this controller is the best, the other may be cheaper now, but i know this one won't break down in a couple of months.i did buy the transparent controller last year, but that one just lasted a couple of months then quit working, thats why i trust sonys controller more.

I will admit, I have been playing many video games for a long time, and the controllers I've always liked best were the N64 and the PlayStation controller. With all the hype about how much the PS2 controller stands against the Gamecube and the XBox, PlayStation decided to say, "What the heck, let's just keep it!" It was a good choice.First of all, the analog sticks are in perfect position. You don't have to reach very far with your thumbs to reach them, and the natural movements it makes are very comfortable. It may seem rather difficult to get used to at first, but it works.Second, the other buttons are in good reach, the L1/2, R1/2 buttons are right there, and don't require much effort to push, same goes with the action buttons that are used with the right thumb.I'm not too pleasant with the feel of the D-Pad, however, since if you use it enough, your thumb rubs alongside it, thus making it rather sore, and doesn't really smooth it out either.None the less, PlayStation does have a very good controller, and once again, I really did like their decision to stick to the exact same design as the PSX, and since there were no major complaints, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
