i bought it for the kid's christmas. they FINALLY tried to use it yesterday. it was chipped at the connector. i HATE having to take things back, sending or taking things back to the store (especially inexpensive stuff) wastes gas and/or postage. (and also it wastes my time). so i'll just use it as a paperweight. however, i won't be buying this type again. i live in a rural area. it's quite a drive to the post office. i wish that amazon would come up with some policy that you didn't have to send a broken thing back. just more trouble than it's worth.

Lo recib? hace cuatro d?as y estoy super contento, funciona excelente, tanto la consola como la tarjeta de memoria. Excelente resoluci?n, cero calentamiento. Lo recomiendo a ojos cerrados.

128mb for a decent price may seem enticing, but don't give into temptation. I've since learned the hard way after almost immediately running into recognition errors. Whenever inserting the card into slot 1 or 2, my PS2 would respond with "no memory card inserted" or similar error messages, and no reliable fixes to remedy the issue. In the end, I'm out both the money and time-invested save files that were on a now useless card.Anything more than one star would suggest this product holds any merit whatsoever. Avoid this product and opt for something that, while likely more expensive, will at least WORK.

good quality, and even came with memory card and extra controller. very satisfied for the price. Love playing those old school games I grew up on before the ps3.

I had originally ordered the old PS2 system from Gamestop, but the stupid thing wouldn't play PS1 games or DVD's. I took it back got my money back and ordered a PS2 slim console from Amazon here. I trust Amazon more over than Gamestop. The console is small, fit right into my mail box...I'm very happy with this console.

The PS2 was and still is the best game console of all time!!!! I got one around '06 and it hasn't EVER been broken. All of my PS2 and PS1 discs work perfectly, although some won't work. That's because those discs were REALLY scratched up. I even played a game for 6-7 hours STRAIGHT! The only problem I'm concerned about is the cooling system. after an hour or so, the PS2 starts to get really hot, but it still works good as new!! For the people who said the "the graphics suck" and stuff, all they've played is probably Xbox 360 and PS3. Of course the graphics aren't realistic, it was made in 2002!! Sony had less advanced graphics technology during then. Long Live PS2!!!!

I just received my brand new Playstation 2 Slim and it is indeed the newer SPCH 9000 series PS2 slim with the integrated power supply and the newer box design. I have a silver PS2 slim from a few years back(which still works fine) and bought this as a back-up in case my original poops-out one day. I've had numerous consoles dating back to the 80's and I've got to say that the PS2 is my most favorite gaming system. First off, as far as "bang for buck", the PS2 just plain kicks a$$!You've got access to a HUGE catalogue of quality PS1 AND PS2 games. Literally THOUSANDS of games! With that many, you are sure to find a favorite. On top of that, many games can be found at rock-bottom prices. The system itself is under a hundred new or can be had for much cheaper used. The newest series 9000 PS2 has been tweeked a bit and operates smoother overall including having the intergrated power supply. A great system for budget-minded buyers along with those who appreciate an endless catalogue of games.

this ps2 made my day when i got it. it has a built in power supply. so no more brick . next the system don't over heat unlike the scph-70001 ps2 slim. it sounds great , the graphics is great when using component cables . looks good. gran Turismo 4 looks extreamly good when out putting in 1080i . so yea i would recommend this system if your board and want somthing to do.

The Last Memory Card the PS2 will ever need. Once you follow the suggestions posted to loosen the screws to get it to work right. After that its flawless.

This system runs smoothly and quietly. I bought this one because I didn't want to use my fat one anymore. It is sleek, light, and has a built in power source (NO BRICK!...Yay!).

I got this game unit for my 7 year old son because his went bad after playing it for a long time. It came just in time for christmas everything was in the box and it works great no problem. You know the playstation 2 is old and almost outdated but for my 7 year old its great. When he gets older we will get an up to date game console. Oh yea the game Toy story 3 came with the game. He cant get enough of that game. He also loves Grand theft auto. So thank you Amazon for a great job.

at first i couldn't get it to work, happened to be a cord, its been replaced and now all is well. this system was way smaller than i anticipated. runs, works great. and I'm having a lot of fun with it. also this particular seller (dolfuns1138) had it sent asap. got it in like 4 days after ordering.

We had the older version of the PS2 console, and we couldn't figure out why it stopped playing our games, that are blue disc's. I held off buying an updated PS2 because of the expense. I should've gotten one of these a lot sooner! Now that we have it my children and I are able to play our favorite games again that we haven't been able to play in years, and the new Toy Story 3 game is a great plus. It is remarkable how slender and compact this console is, and the fact the it works better than the old PS2 console. The new console is totally worth every cent! I'd recommend this product to others in a heart beat.

In the age of the PS3, 360 and Wii, the PS2 is still tops in my book. Played GTA Vice City last night and earned approx. 30,000 mugging old women for their purses. The blood that splatters from their faces as I smash them with a crowbar or bat is very life-like and realistic...something one may not initially anticipate from a 100.00 console. Thumbs up!

The review about a PS2 not reading the card is accurate. I tried the "screw trick", but it did not work for me. My PS2 does not recognize the card. This may not be typical of "ALL" PS2's, but this 128MB card does not work with my PS2. In my opinion, you are better off buying a Sony PS2 Memory Card. If the card is genuine Sony, You know it will work.

I bought this PS2 for my son and husband for Christmas and it is a wonderful system. My husband and son have played for hours and loved every minute. Can't beat the price, either.

this is a waste of money!! it wouldn't save my game,the memory card is empty and it said that i didn't have enough memory to save it. don't waste your money on this piece of crap!

Did not came with memory cards which is totally lame of Sony. What's the point of playing any games when you can't save any of your work? The people at Sony are not geniuses.
