I use the headset for making Voice Over IP calls from my computer. The audio quality is very good and people hearing me on the other end, comment on the clarity of the microphone.The headset is a bit on the heavy/bulky side and the ear cushions are a bit too firm. The mike boom can rotate up and down but does not adjust in or out from the face.For the price, this is a good value.

These headphones, for the price are phenomenal. I use them while playing StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty, and for skype calls. My friends all agree, that these are great mostly due to them being unable to hear my typing anymore, and for the fact that I am still clearly heard. The comfort is great too. They are tight enough to not move while I'm moving around my room or living room table, and at the same time, they are loose enough for my glasses that I wear while I play SC2.The sound quality is great as well; rich heavy basses, and pure, clear highs. I cannot recommend these highly enough. ----EDIT: PLEASE READ----So, after about half a year of usage, I discovered something rather crappy; the microphone had broken without me ever realizing it. This led to a long, and tiresome time figuring out what had broken. But after cleaning the contact points, having the motherboard replaced on my computer (it's a laptop), and finally fooling around with my connections, I am not too happy that these broke so quickly.

I bought this item (Plantronic Multimedia Stereo Headset .Audio355) to use while skype-ing on my MacBook Pro. Made a log distance call using Skype and talked for 30 minutes. It worked great. I could hear the other party loud and clear. There is a switch to adjust volume and another switch to mute if necessary. The headphones fit comfortably--there is a foam cushion where the phone rest on your ears. The party I called said they could hear me clearly. I spoke at a volume I would use if I were speaking to another individual in the same room. The boom on which the microphone is attached is adjustable. The cost was very reasonable (about $30 at BestBuy--I didn't have time to order from Amazon as I am leaving the country tomorrow). The only down side is that the headsets are bulky and take more room than some of the wireless in-the-ear headsets, and the item was packaged in a hard plastic container and I cut my finger trying to open it. Although the packaging says compatible with Windows, it is compatible with any laptop that has 3.5mm speaker and microphone ports, which all Apple laptops have. Highly recommended.

Okay so... I read all the comments about this headset before I purchased it; and I was a little leary. BUT LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING MISTER or MISSES or YOU GENDER NEUTRAL PERSON!THIS IS A GREAT PIECE OF HARDWARE!I have used it for 4 hour gaming sessions and watching movies.It is quite comfortable on the large noggin and the sound quality is great.This is my first part of Closed-Ear headphone and let me tell you something. When the kids come a cryin' or the wife wants to talk about the neglected state of the kitchen, i have to remove them to hear the conversation over the sniper bullets wizzing by my head... ORRRR I just continue to lay down covering fire as if I can't hear anything.The mic works great. Love how it stows away for non-chat games or movie.Very comfortable... OH OH OH... the head phone are not your typical plasto-leatherly feeling material. They are more like a soft felt. So there is no temperature discomfort for prolonged use. No sticking to your skin or sweating.The cord is nice and heavy so it feels pretty durable.The only thing that may feel cheap to you is the volume wheel, but it does its job. I rarely adjust the volume from there since I have volume control on the keyboard.So my only gripe is... errr... ahhh... that I'm not getting PAID to write this review.BUY THE DARN THING ALREADY!!! Click it now... click it now... you know you want too. You won't be disappointed.PEACE!

I found it to be good for gaming and other things but after a few months it snapped near one of the earphones, It may have been due to the fact that it is not flexible anywhere on the headband. I would not recommend this if you have a head that is slightly above average size by Plantronics's Standards.

From the ones i have bought of this headset neither of them came close to lasting a year or 6 months for that matter. Other than that they it was a pretty good headset.

This is the second product I've purchased based solely on star reviews and been completely disappointed. The ear muffs are hot, scratchy, and attract a lot of lint and dust. The sound quality is mediocre at best. They're very heavy, bulky, and just overall uncomfortable. The sound quality just isn't that good. The speaker sensitivity is low so it's very difficult to get them very loud, without some type of external amp. I hate these things. The microphone isn't bad, in fact the recording quality is quite good. But I just can't stand to wear them for me their to hot, heavy, and annoying.

These headphones where a great purchase. You can't go wrong being so inexpensive and having alot to offer. With a cheap 3D USB the ambient nose and gun shots sound amazing. They'll make Fallout: New Vegas come to life.

I bought this headset just because i needed one and i didn't want to spend too much on one so i looked online and found this. It looked very promising. I got it one day after i ordered it, and i was a little bit disappointed in the sound quality, its not bad but not great either. Music does not sound good on it but i must say when speaking to someone on Skype, it is very nice. Bass is not too good. The microphone though is very good, nice clear sound.In overall, this headset is great for its price and for anyone who talks on skype etc..

I understand those who question the sub-par quality of these headphones. The build material really isn't that great, and it is mostly made up of cheap plasticky parts. But... remember that these are 20 dollar pair of headphones. Corners will be cut in order to price it for as cheap as it is.The sound quality is inferior to that of a good pair of headphones, but it isn't bad by any means. The mic works fine and it does its job.These headphones aren't as comfortable to lets say, my Sennheiser HD555s but I can game on them for about an 2 hours before my ears start to hurt.Overall, I will give these headphones are solid 3.5/5 but since I cant give half a star, I will give it the benefit of a doubt!

THIS THING BROKE AFTER A FEW WEEKS. SNAPPED RIGHT IN HALF DOWN THE CENTER. THIS PIECE OF CRUD IS MADE ONLY OF SHODDY PLASTIC. IM BEGINNING TO HATE AMAZON SLOWLY BECAUSE IT BROKE JUST SLIGHTLY OUT OF THE RETURN DATE!I BOUGHT A CREATIVE FATL1TY AND IT ROCKSGIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!! IS IT LOST FOREVER???

The second I put this headset in everyone told me my microphone sounds terrible. I have constant crackling noises in the ear pieces. I would not buy this headset ever again. I will be sure to spend good money on one and not cheap out on this garbage.

These are an excellent pair of headphones for the price! They are not noise cancelling headphones, but they work very well. The ear cushions actually sit on your ear instead of going around your ears like a lot of other headphones do. The sound quality is nice. The headband is flexible enough for a good amount of comfort and isn't too tight. The microphone is also very clear and doesn't pick up a lot of background noise like a lot of cheap microphones do.Overall, I highly recommend these headphones for casual computer users that don't want to spend a lot.

Finally had to replace my old Plantronics Gamers headset after almost five years of daily use, and was not happy about trying to find anything half as good. Imagine my surprise and delight that the company was still making this model!Four reasons to love this headset:1) 'over the head' light-weight soft ear covers I can wear for 3-4 hours without noticing anything but the quality gaming sounds (don't use them for music, so couldn't speak to that for you Bose fans), 2) a swing down boom mike that filters out background household noises (like hallway conversations between my sons as to who gets the shower first) while letting my own voice be heard clearly by my team mates,3) an easy access volume control & mike mute buttons on a collar clip approx one foot down the headset wires,4) the fold-up design to fit into a 5"x2"x2" pouch that fits into a corner of your briefcase or purse for those of us who travel.USB wired versus battery operated cordless mice/headsets are an on-going debate in our house, and amounts to personal preference, in my opinion. I've seen too many disasters in-game when batteries go out and one loses control of their game at a critical point, so yes...I like wired, tyVm.Since my old Plantronics headset lasted almost five years, compared to the annual replacements my sons go through (they prefer not to have over the head types), I do believe I'll be content for quite some time. Thanks Plantronics!

I just got these in the mail today. All I can say is they are awesome! I played Battlefield 2 with them today and the bombs and guns going off around me were so immersive it was fantastic! As I write this review I am listening to some songs on my iTunes that I haven't heard in awhile and they sound so good! I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone. I just hope they hold up!I also should say that the cord on these things is really long...like 5-6 feet or something, which I really appreciate after all the 3.5' cords I've used on other headphones. I'm very happy with them. Four stars just because I don't know how long they will last. Will update!*EDIT* 4/28/11These headphones are still going strong. No problems whatsoever. I had to add a home theater system to my tv because the tv sounded flat after using these for so long. I notice that the price has gone up since I bought them. I don't know if they are worth the extra money, depends on how expensive they get. For what I paid for them they were a good deal.*Edit* 10/11/11Well the microphone finally died on these. I play games with other people, so have to have a mic. Came on here to shop for a new one. Microphone on these was never very good anyway and people complained that I wasn't loud enough on Teamspeak. Took one star away because they only lasted a little over a year and the mic issue.

These headsets arrived in a really annoying blisterpack, but other than that gripe (really, when have we acquiesced to these human-proof packaging?! Horrible!) they are fantastic. I was a bit skeptical because of the few bad reviews, but have decided that these were anomalies because this headset is fantastic. They are comfortable, yet firm in tension. I can wear earrings with them and it doesn't bother me at all. I wore them for four hours straight and didn't have a headache from the tension. The sound quality is great, they do cover your ears fully. If you crank your volume, you'll have difficulty hearing anything but your game sounds, music, etc.For $25, a definite deal.

I used to use the headset that came with battlefield 2, but it was really uncomfortable after extended use. Then I was looking around for a new headset, and found these at frys electronics for around 30 bucks.They're comfortable even after wearing them for 10+hours (Trust me, I've tried. lol raiding and heroics take time. :P)And they have great sound quality, plus a good quality mic. In Vent everyone hears me clearly, and I hear them. :DAnd if I'm just using them for listening to music or something while I play, they have really good bass and sound quality then too.Also the volume and mic control on the wire make it easy to use as well.In addition, I've had them for about two years and haven't had any problems. The wire is nice and thick so it doesn't break. They have a nice sturdy design, and it won't break from normal use like others might.So if you're looking for a good headset for those long raids or whatever else you play, I'd reccomend these. Affordable, durable, comfortable after hours of use, and great quality all around.

Had these for a few weeks, and they seem very good for the price. They are remarkably comfortable, with generous firm padding on the earcups and connecting piece to ensure a comfortable fit. The padding seems to drown exterior noise pretty well.The sound quality is adequate, if not mindblowing. Not much bass, but otherwise okay for basic gaming use. Some players online have said that the mic sounds really weak to them. I tested the mic myself and it sounded okay to me, but this may be an issue. My one real complaint is that the mic/headphone jacks aren't differently colored. You have to look up close at the logos to tell which jack is which. Of course you can mark it yourself to make this easier, but how much more expensive would it be to throw in a bit of red plastic? This should have been a no-brainer.Overall a good gaming headset for gamers on a budget.

I bought this headset for use on Skype and playing games online. Its very easy to hook up. Plug it into your mic and headphone ports, and it works. Cant ask for more than that. The sound quality is good, and the microphone is crisp and sounds good. I am easily heard by others. It doesnt sound 'tinny' on the other end. Also, a couple of the reviews state that the bass is horrible with this headset. Ive found the sound quality to be great, especially for the price. You arent going to be knocked over by the bass from these, but you will be pleased. If you need more bass than these provide, spend the money and buy a headset designed for it. Overall, Ive very happy with the product, and would recommend it.

I purchased these headphones to use with my Xbox so I wouldn`t disturb my wife when playing. I had high hopes from reading other reviews but I am disappointed with the comfort. The sound is fine and I can still hear the game while my wife is on the phone right beside me. The ear cups don`t swivel and they put a lot of pressure on my ears. Someone compared them to a vise on your head and I have to agree. They are also heavy and hurt the top of my head after a short while. I haven`t tried the Mic. The volume control wheel could be easier to turn, and is a bit large & heavy. Don`t buy if you have a large head.
