Not bad for the price. Even extended I worried the mic wouldnt pick me up well, but it worked far better than the cheap old headset i had where I had to keep the mic right on my lips. Adjustable and comfortable enough. Sound quality isnt amazing, but it's not outright bad and you can't really complain much given the price. Build quality feels pretty decent as well.Overall I'm happy with the purchase, considering what I got within my budget.

This headset is to be used for DNS [Dragon Naturally Speaking]speech recognition program version 10.1 on Vista.Pros: easy to install on Vista, plug 'n play, excellent speech recognition, nice long cord, portableCons: the wires are very flimsy, the headset is not made to last, no carry case, no lighted on /off switch As an owner of a much older Plantronics USB headset, I have read where this headset may be used in speech recognition and I am comparing my older headset with this one. Unfortunately the quality has dropped in the last few years and I do not think that this headset will put up to continuous use as compared to the older headset.With that said, there is an interesting feature that makes this headset unique. As you can see from the picture the headset plugs into a USB dongle which plugs into your computer. I tried the dongle with a different brand headset [Adria] and it worked flawlessly. All computers today whether they are desktop or lap top have built-in sound cards. The sound cards are usually of low quality especially on laptops. When you plug directly into your built-in sound card the quality is not good. Speech recognition suffers tremendously. That is why I started using USB headsets years ago for speech recognition and found them to be an excellent investment. If you are having trouble with your speech recognition program, the 1st thing I would suspect is your built-in sound card. Bypassing your built-in sound card using this USB headset should have superior results.Even though the headset is flimsy I know I can easily replace it and use the USB dongle. It would be nice to purchase the USB dongle by itself. I would suspect that the quality of ANY headset (that plugs directly into your computer) would be improved using the USB dongle. My older Plantronics USB headset had thicker wires, a better on /off switch which had a light. This one does fold nicely and is portable however is lacking a carry case which is no problem as I had purchased an inexpensive case. Currently I am using this headset on both my laptop and desktop computer and will purchase another one.

I had originally posted a review of this product that blasted the sound quality of these headphones, but I have to recant my previous review. The sound quality of these headphones CAN be great. Originally I wasn't getting any bass response from my headphones, but then after a while I realized that if you have ONLY the headphone portion of the headset plugged in, the sound is amazing. Great bass response, and all around sound. BUT... if you have the microphone portion of the headset plugged in as well as the headphones... you will get sound only in one side of the headphone, and it will be a bassless mono sound. SO, depending on your use, and needs, these can be really great headphones. You just have to decide what you can give and take to make them suit your needs. I bump my original 3 star review up to 4 stars, because you CAN get decent sound out of this headset, but you have to sacrifice the microphone for the time being...

I bought one for myself and used it for 3 weeks or so with no problems at all. Everything about it was perfect.My boyfriend's headset was broken and decided to buy him one as well since I had a good experience with it. Once the 2nd one came, it worked for about 2 - 3 days and the mic just stopped working completely.

At first I was a bit skeptical because of the price. But let me tell you--these are the absoulutely best head phones in this price range. I wasn't looking to spend to much money for gamming head phones and these are perfect. If you have any doubt in your mind about comfort, quality, clearity, let this review eliminate that. These are absolutely amazing for this low price! GET THEM NOW.

love the headset, the overall comfort and and style is great. I can't really say it has the best sound I've ever heard but for 25 bucks its not bad, but is mostly lacking on the bass. The microphone is good although a little low powered it gets the job done well. I'd definitely recommend these to someone without too much money to spend on a headset.

I'm very glad I decided to purchase this headset. I use it primarily for Skype calls and have spent around 20 hours one week with these on my ears. The sounds quality is great, both in my ears and through the microphone. They are mostly comfortable but could probably stand to be a little more. But for $25, not bad. I like how they cover my ears entirely but I can still hear if someone walks in and says something. Music sounds good on them, too. My only minor complaint is the volume wheel (with mute slider button), while a very nice feature, is a little hard to spin sometimes. Very minor problem, though. I would absolutely buy these again.

Very good Gaming HeadPhones. Sound is loud and clear. Cable is a little short but thankfully it works fine for my setup. I can't see paying $$$ for headphones when these work great, it's just marketing for "gamers". These headphones aren't designed to fit completely over the ear, they are comfortable for me but it is what I have come accustomed too. This is probably my 6th pair of plantronics headphones.(I used to get the audio .90).

Hello AllNot getting into technical aspects since this is my first headset and cant compare to other headsets-I would suggest this Headset if you do not care if your music or your Audio/video calls are heard outside. Any music you play it easily plays to people around you also. If you are on a call, your colleague can eve's drop without even attempting because its so clear outside almost like a mini speaker.So there is no privacy.Apart from this aspect, this device is pretty good and I have not faced any issue in terms of functionality as of date.

I use this headset mainly for Skype, and I have not been disappointed with it. It is a great item and the voice quality is crystal clear. The sound quality of the speakers in the headset is great as well. I have bought several of these, and the only complaint I have is that the build quality seems to be a little bit cheap, although none of them have broken on me yet. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good headset for Skype or VoIP.

This is the best headset I've ever owned. I wish plantronics hadn't discontinued it. There's nothing out there that's more comfortable than this. The sound quality as well as the mic quality are bar-none the best out there. It has one big flaw... As others have already noted, the mic swivel is too loose. My fix was to put a few drops of nail-polish in the swivel base and let it dry, that adds enough friction to completely fix the problem.

Not only is the mic quality poor, the sound quality is just as bad.Much lower sound quality comparing to Logitech. I had to return the item.

Bought these to replace Audio 365 Closed-ear Full-range Set that I rolled over in my chair and destroyed the cord. These are OK, but the ear cups are too small. The 365s were perfectly sized, so I was expecting close to the same thing. These set on, not over my average sized ears. Drives me nuts. Pretty good sound, the mic is in a nice location, very much out of the way. The volume control and mute are nice and close the the head set, not way down the cord. They are comfortable over a couple of hours at a time. Overall nice, I just wish I hadn't destroyed my old 365s!!****EditThe right ear has stopped working now. Oh well, I wish I hadn't destroyed my 365s!

These headphones are really worth the price. It instantly responds to the Realtek HD effects and makes music sound very realistic. You can hear the very lows and the highs. It may be a little uncomfortable at first because they fit snugly, but you'll get used to it. They're made of durable hard plastic, so it'll last quite a while even when abused in a backpack or when traveling.Best $25 I've ever dropped on a headset. :)

I have owned these headphones for a few months and they continue to work magnificently. These are a great value for someone who wants great sounding speakers in a comfortable headset that does a good job of canceling out outside noise. You really have to tap me on the shoulder when I have these on to get my attention. Also these are a great fit for those of you who may have a larger noggin.

So far I'm loving them. I ordered these May 11 and arrived May 12. That's awesome shipping for you. The package was easy to open and setting it up was as easy as plugging in two plugs.I love them. Great price. Great build. The only downer is the bass isn't as hard as my Skullcandy in-ears.These will do for now.

Although I didn't purchase the Plantronics headset for music - more for telephony - comments (even raves) by some reviewers that the sound was just fine were nevertheless encouraging. (That said, I do listen to a lot of music at the computer, but mostly through speakers.) Overall, I have to rate this headset a net "2," with major demerits for sound quality, which I weight more heavily than the set's positive features - these, apart from mic pickup/transmission, are are secondary attributes. The audio reproduction is simply not very good. I recognize this may be a "box variation" issue and particular to my set, but without a basis for comparison, I nevertheless surmise not: I've had similarly poor sound reproduction on other relatively cheap headsets. With these Plantronics, sound at every point in the spectrum is muffled; highs and lows seem clipped (the speaker frequency is suppose to be between 20Hz and 20kHz, but I'd love to be able to bench-test that). CDs that through other speakers or headsets play perfectly crisply, with distinct inner orchestral voices and sharp vocals, become muddied and diffuse when heard through these earphones. Plain voice is similarly muffled. On the other hand, the set is comfortable, looks more substantial than its low price would suggest, and is plug and play, with volume controls and a mute button for voice. The mic also seems to transmit clearly - people hear me when I'm speaking, even if I'm not hearing then all that well. In short, I wouldn't purchase these again; they'll "do" - particularly as I'll probably be replacing them in about a year (that seems to be the life cycle of the fragile wiring on all these budget headsets). But you get pretty much what you pay for, don't you?

Pro: The sound is good and the earphones are easy on the head.Con: This was the most difficult to open package that I have ever seen. The ear pads are foam not gel, so there is as much background noise as with much smaller earphones. The mute switch does not work.

i just got these in today. I like how they feel and look but they have no bass at all. My 5 dollar skullcandy's have a better bass response. For the price, its good to use for internet calling like skype but not for gaming or listening to music.

I need a good headset for gaming and skype. This week,when my last headset quietly died, I got this one.I have had it for one day and it is going back. The weight of the cord pulls the pads off your ears, which might be good (except that then you can't hear) because wearing it for more than 5 minutes will give you a blasting headache from the stress and pain on them. If you get this one, as long as you're out anyway, pick up some extra strength pain reliever. You're going to need it.
