I bought this only for scuba. Am very disappointed with color and clarity below 20 feet. Even with flash, all the colors tend to ‘blue out’. At 50 feet, pics almost look monochrome. Camera takes decent pics above wTer. I would only recommend this camera for snorkels. Definitely not good enough for deeper scuba dives.

This is a camera for everything you imagine. Have a tough construction, the images are sharp and crisp color. The 3in screen is very clear no matter how sunny it is outdoor. The zoom is great. I use it for outdoor trips and during construction and inspection projects and works just fine. It is not just a digital camera, it is an excellent tool too.!!!

Awesome camera. I use it all the time to document my inspections. Would suggest you get a couple of spare batteries if you are going to use the wifi
Would be better if the camera strap had clips for quick removal. Sometimes you just want to carry it in your pocket.

Took this scuba diving down to 97ft with no issues. Good battery life as long as you don't forget it is on. The back scteeb fid get scratched from the dive boat seats, they were the textured plastic so you wouldn't slip. This did not effect the camera's integrity, but you now have to look through the scratches to see your subject. Which can be a nuisance now.

Picture quality is ok, but not outstanding. I did not use it under water, but I did use it whitewater rafting in the Grand Canyon, where it was exposed to water, sand and some abuse. It handled all this easily. The battery only lasted about 3 days: 200 photos and 15 1-4 minute videos. Then of course the battery pack I brought to recharge it did not put out enough wattage to recharge it.

Not very user friendly, especially the feature that allows wireless transfer of photos and videos to your phone. Very clunky software.

We have used this series of cameras for many years. They are tough and take the punishment that happens during a home inspection. We get about 3 years of hard use out of them. We average about 200 pictures per job and we do about 300 jobs a year.. Do the math! They are great little cameras.

We bought this camera for a week long rafting trip in the Grand Canyon. It was perfect! The photos and videos were wonderful. I bought a floating wrist strap to go with it and that made the camera easy to hold on to in rough waters. The Nikon battery life is very good. I bought 2 extra non-Nikon brand batteries that had about 1/4 of the Nikon battery life.

This Nikon W300 Waterproof Camera is a workhorse camera, perfect for most all situations. First, it's waterproof - it really can be wetted or submerged, take pictures underwater, works in the rain, works if you drop your coffee on it, it works! Second, it's a Nikon - the optics are superior, taking great shots for a point-and-shoot camera, enough said, it's a Nikon. Third, it's compact and handy - you should always carry it with you and you won't miss a shot, take quick shots faster than your cell phone. Fourth, app available to autosave your images to your cloud, to your cell phone then cloud, the images can be set up to be auto saved, how convenient! And Fifth, the price is right, extremely reasonable price for an all around camera!!!

Battery last a day or less, 50-75 photos. I had to purchase extra batteries and this is a significant inconvenience having to constantly carry extra batteries and having the battery go dead in the middle of taking photos when needed.
Photo quality is good and other features on the camera are good but the batteries go dead very quickly, less than a day.

Some stop working just under water but ok at the surface. I have two where the screen turns purple under water.
If you only use it once or twice a year under water you found yourself a nice camera.
I use it weekly, not a durable camera.

Love this camera so far. I've taken it diving 3 times and got great pictures and video. Only complaint is that the battery life isn't as good as I wish, but that's small quibble. Syncs easily with my phone and uploads photo and video as soon as I'm out of the water. Love this camera!

Bought specifically to take underwater videos in Hawaii. Tested it underwater twice before my vacation to be sure that the picture was of quality and that the camera would easily be closed and sealed after charging. Looked and performed great! Got to Hawaii and within 2 minutes underwater, water got into the camera body (through the lens housing seemingly). The battery compartment seemed bone dry. But the lens housing was noticeably wet with water and still has a bit of condensation as seen in the photo. Did not have a chance to film anything.

Good little camera. I have a Nikon D7000 but like this little camera for social events and vacations. Light weight and easy to use this camera is ideal for family trips. It works very well underwater and takes impressive video as well. The photo attached was taken without flash using the macro scene setting. I’m glad I bought this camera and will take it on all vacations from now on.

I was very happy with it, I bought it at the recommendation of a fellow diver but after around 3 trips with it, it just flooded at the beginning of the dive while descending

got me really pissed after investing in the camera, extra batteries and some gear... guess you can't trust a camera without housing for diving

Utilizo la W300 como soporte, tomas de backstage, para graficar los trabajos de nuestro equipo de produccion, por ende esta expuesta a cada adversidad, lluvia, frio, polvo, mar. muy util el que sea robusta y empremeable para que resista y luego poder lavarla. obviamnete para un uso intenso, de varias horas, aconsejo la compra de al menos un par de baterias extras preferiblemente originales.

Polarization with my sunglasses cause no picture to show on screen. It appears as though the camera is broken. Must take off sunglasses to take pictures. Definitely an oversight for an outdoor camera!

I had the previous version of this camera and the inside got wet (my fault). I needed to replace and was looking at the competitor Olympus but I love the feature that you can take still shot photos at the same time that you are taking videos. Picture quality and durability is excellent.

Great little camera! Optics aren't real high(5 optical) great for point and shoot. Very tough camera. Does give you some manual options. Great for vacation.

After my third freedive session with this camera (never went deeper than 40 feet) water leaked into the lens and then it died. This is garbage. I’ve returned it in time for a refund.

Great camera for taking a trip to the beach or a water park. I chose the yellow version because its easier to find if you drop it at the bottom of a river. Havent tested the shock proofness, but I believe them lol. Not a lot of manual control, and at times the portrait mode is out done by a simple cellphone camera.

Really shines underwater though, there is value for the photographer who doesnt want to bring their phone to a wet situation.

So not good quality at all. No problems in the water but zoom is weak. Your iPhone is much better. Disappointed for the price. Took on a raft trip and to Hawaii. Better off with a go pro

I'm giving this 4 stars because it won't connect to my phone. I wish there was a Microsoft snapbridge app so that I could connect to my tablet. I had to buy an usb that reads SD cards to plug into my computer. It takes great pictures and is easy to use for someone that can not work one of the more complicated cameras.

shipping was good, got this camera right time. But it failed at my diving trip. I went down 29.8m deep and the screen started to go black. The videos and photos were taken and it was good by checking with phone, but the screen never come back to normal.

I like the camera because it has most of the function as my cool pix 1000. The rattle in the camera is because of the action button, which is the middle button on the side. When you push the action button when looking at pictures on the display. You can move the camera up and down to advance to the next picture or back and forth to the previous picture
