I bought a couple 360 bundles this year. Why? Well, the Halo4 bundle was something I really couldnt pass up and have it set up in a Vanguard portable rig, a couple were gifts, but this one here is the console I set up next to my PS3 in my living room. The 250 gig drive is big enough to contain my collection of games with plenty of room to spare. The inclusion of Forza 4 and the Skyrim download was pretty sweet, the extra 4 months of Live Gold was cool (3 for the promotion plus 1 already in the box), the controller is the standard issue of course as is the carppy headset, lol (replace the headset....they are flimsy and wont last long). My only gripe is probably the same as everybody elses....no HDMI cable included. That seems like a poor oversight for a relatively cheap and fairly essential piece (at least if you plan to get the most out of your xbox...without it, you'll be running at like 480p). You also get a handful of Arcade game codes (which are basically glorified demos).Anyways, there isnt really anything magnificent or special here except for the savings from buying the bundle vs buying everything separately, but hey, that's why you buy a bundle. Better value. From that standpoint, this bundle truly shines.

I bough it for Xmas at $250 and i really love it. I've been an Xbox fan since de first console, and i'll keep playing it as long as they keep exclusive games like Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Fable and more.NO it doesnt have a Blu Ray player, but i cant recall the last time i rented a movie... is all about online streaming! And you have Hulo, Netflix and more....This slim console doesnt make any noise when reading discs, something that the old Xbox had as an issue and even de PS3 has a little bit of a noise issue.Also FORGET ABOUT THE RED RING OF DEATH!!!! People keep saying that this new Xbox has the same heating problems as the first Xbox 360 and they are WRONG!, i live in a hot weather country (Dominican Republic), and after 4-5 hours of playing the console has an aceptable temperature.The only complain i have is that the Eject and Power button are soft-touch activated and in slightest touch it ejects the Dvd or power off.

Why pay double for a Genuine Microsoft HDD? I bought the 4gb Xbox Slim that requires a HDD, unless you don't plan on using Xbox Live arcade, downloading videos, or download any games. Also I have some original Xbox titles (GTA 3 series, Max Payne, etc.) and I saw all of the positive reviews for the knock-off generic HDD and I bought one, and much to my disappointment, none of my Xbox titles worked and I was like: What the heck? I was really cheesed off. After searching high and low on the forums and Microsoft support to find out why my generic HDD wasn't allowing me to play any of my old Xbox titles. What I found out is the Microsoft branded Xbox 360 S drives contain a separate partition with Xbox emulation software. I had originally had bought a cheaper generic HDD and even though may have been cheaper, it proved worthless since I had Xbox titles I wanted to play. An item can be cheap as can be, but if it does not work for you than it is a waste no matter how cheap.So if you have any Xbox titles buy genuine Microsoft, if you trust the cheapo generic HDD, pay your money and take your chances. I ended up returning the generic drive because it simply did not work with ANY Xbox titles. Luckily Amazon is good when it comes to returns and I only lost about $4.50 in shipping the bad drive back. I got this drive in, dropped it in the 4GB Xbox slim and voila' it works like a charm, I was so happy and have no regrets on the extra cost or lost space to the emulation partition. Save yourself a headache and buy OEM.

I bought the 250GB + Haloreach + Fable3 bundle when it was offered. It's been a year or so, and it's still working very well! Not sure what the current deal is, but the HaloReach addition was a great inclusion (since Halo4 hadn't come out yet). The console itself is quite, sleek, and works perfectly. I've had no issues with it. Only thing is sometimes if I'm sitting close to the console/TV, my toe will accidentally touch the open/close button or the powerbutton, but that's just because they're touch! not actual buttons, which is quite cosmetic, and very impressive (especially compared to the older model). Would definitely recommend this console! It has served me well and still does to this day. Last year I was very much a gamer, but I'll been slacking off due to RL things. I'd say I put about 10-14 hours per week which means the console has about 700-800 hours of active playtime, and even more time being on and/or active otherwise.

A Side note: I wont be re-hashing the many many reviews that you can find on the Current Gen Xbox 360 Hardware, as there are plenty of those out there for you to make a decision.The Annual Holiday bundles are an amazing value. For the same price as the same spec system (amount of memory, Kinect included or not) you get the same system with 2 games. This year, for the 250GB model, they are including a Voucher to Download Skyrim. Important to know and keep in mind if your internet is slow, limited, etc. It also includes Forza 4 Essential Edition. I am not much of a racing game player, so I am not sure if that is what the normal version of the game is called, or if that is a special, some what limited version of the game. You also get the 1 month of Xbox live Gold, 1 wireless controller, and 1 wired headset. It does NOT include an HDMI cable, but instead comes with a set of Composite cables. Some thing to keep in mind, and if you need cables, buy from Amazon AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable (3 Feet/0.9 Meter) - Supports Ethernet, 3D, and Audio Return [Newest Standard], or at least online. Any brick and mortar store will cost far more for a cable.The takeaway is this, if you are looking to get a Xbox anyway, and are even slightly interested in either or both of these games, there is no reason not to get the bundle.

BACKGROUNDSadly, the family Xbox 360 died with the dreaded red rings of death. We have had the machine since right after the launch and figured it was time to purchase a new machine. We spotted this package and thought it was a worthwhile trade in.First, this package has the latest xbox machine. The machine has been updated several times since it first was released. Actually, not so much an upgrade as it has been an improvement and fine tuning what has been available. The machine is now slimmer, a black sleek color and more durable as the components inside have matured or been updated to newer components. The machine also is super quiet and uses less power elimination the HUGE power block that the original machine had.With the gaming machine comes a HUGE 250 GB hard drive to fill with games, download content, movies, music, and anything else your heart desires. There is 3 months of xbox live, the new Kinect bar and several games that help to demonstrate the potential of the kinect.PACKAGINGCONCLUSIONThis package is well worth the money. I recommend it for anyone that has one of the original XBOX 360 White machines. The updated components and increased hard drive space make it well worth it let alone the extras of testing out the new Kinect connecting bar and games that demonstrate its potential!

It was a good deal when I bought this, as it was the cheapest then. Unfortunately I saw it for cheaper (less shipping and handling) in Best Buy, same exact deal, during boxing week! :(I bought this strictly for Skyrim (also, because I wanted my personal Xbox too). The racing game was alright too, that came with it. Remember, the online Skyrim game is downloadable so it just stays on your Xbox, so if you plan on selling the game later then keep that in mind.If you are Canadian (as I am), you can not use the 3-month free Xbox Live membership that comes with this, it is only for US residents. And also the free downloadable games you get (other than Skyrim) are average games, no huge names or anything like that! They sort of remind me of PC battle ship and arcade games...Oh and do not waste your money on extra fast shipping, because Amazon tends to ship your items within 2 days anyway. I paid an extra 100 bucks to get it early for nothing...Just get the regular shipping and it'll be there quick anyway.

250GB I purchased to entertain myself but have 'never' been able to do that. After making many calls to try and understand why nothing seemed to work - I gave up and now I just look at it. Off and on, I attempt to get it set up but Microsoft was of no help to me with that, and that means the free game(s) I was suppose to get -- I did not get either because I could never get connected. I feel Microsoft should put those in the box OR provide a coupon for picking them up directly at a location OR mailing in for them. In that way, whenever I get it working (if I do) I will have the games. I paid quite a bit when I purchased this, and the next year they were half the price.

this was a good bonus buy...have used it almost every day since I bought it...the forza 4 game in conjunction with the XBOX 360 will make the box run hot and it will lock up on you...I had a 8" fan from the side panell of a computer That I duct taped temporarily over the top vent port and that helped the air flow during game play...but the symtoms still reside but don't act up as frquently.They make a $20 fan kit for this so I would suggetss getting one. Problem is most of them plug into one of the USB ports on the xbox 360 itself...which then makes it run hotter using the 5 volts from the USB port. That's why I used a 8 inch fan insead as it uses it's own power supply.

Love the XBOX 360, just very disappointed on its delivery. Original one that was sent to us for my 8 yr old to open on Christmas morning, was BROKEN! I understand things happen, but after many hours on hold with Microsoft Xbox and Amazon, it revealed that in May of 2012, it was reported that it was not working. When I ordered it December 19,2012 Amazon had sent me the broken unit that had obviously been returned and restocked. It was a bad hard drive and we would have had to pay $130 to fix it! When I called Amazon on Christmas morning, first person told me "oh well, you'll have to return it and reorder!" Luckily, I got through to someone who cared, and she helped us get a replacement. Although we had to physically renter an order, it only took two days for us to get a replacement. Very disappointed, but thankful it was resolved quickly. It should have been taken care of 6 months prior to this happening, though.

The Product itself is great. Knew exactly what I ordered from prior use. No Complaints.Ordered the product on December 13th with next day delivery to an A-zon Locker for a last minute birthday gift. As always with the next day delivery it did not arrive on time but delivered on the 17th. While I was able to get my shipping refunded, it is an unreliable service.I did not receive my A-zon bundle package of download codes for games, 3 month xbox live, and $10 amazon dl credit upon order. I contacted customer servicewhen I received the product itself for the email codes. I was notified it will be several days for an answer of when I could get the codes. I contacted again 5 days later & was told I would get the codes in late January. Upon further complaints & mentioned i wanted my money back I finally received them the next day.

First, I did not purchase this product from amazon. I bought it at a local retailer, but it is the exact same product. They just happened to have a better deal at the store at that moment. I purchased the Holiday bundle with Fable 3 and Halo Reach.Now the review:The Xbox 360 is a great system. Graphics are smooth, resolution is great (once you have a component or HDMI cable). I've had it over a month with no issues from the system itself.Fable 3 is a decent game for the Fable series, though I prefered the growth scheme used in the previous version.Halo Reach, I only played for about 30 minutes. FPS's like Halo aren't really my speed, but it was essentially a free game so I can't complain. It didn't malfunction or anything, just not my style.What I might like improved:I would have liked it if the console at least came with a component cable rather than the composite cable (granted, I understand, not everyone has a hi-def capable tv). And I wouldn't mind if the old Xbox titles were more compatible with the system. Fable: Lost chapters has the occasional lock up, and if you've forgotten to save in a long time that can be a problem. I'm not a programmer, though, so I have no idea what kinds of hurdles they would have to jump to make things work like normal.All in all it's a really good bargain. The 3 months of free LIVE gold aren't bad either.

Purchased hard drive as it was advertised as being an original Microsoft-branded accessory. I receive the drive packed in a very convincing OEM-style retail package with genuine Microsoft markings. On installation of the drive, I noted that it was completely empty and did not contain any software despite the box stating content was included. I then attempted to play an original XBox title to test the backwards compatibility of the drive and was unsuccessful. I contacted Microsoft Xbox Tech Support who confirmed that the drive was counterfeit and the serial number on the accessory was not valid. Very unhappy with this purchase.

If this is digital, there is nothing indicating it as such. What was NOT included is the following:-- 5 digital games (Acqua, Load Runner, R Type, Snoopy, and The Maw)-- two months XBox Live Gold membership (a one-month membership card was included)-- $10 Amazon Instant Video CreditIf these are to arrive at a later date (via email or whatever), IT MUST BE INDICATED to the purchaser without our having to hunt down the seller -- not an acceptable way to do business.Xbox works properly and everyone knows what it is (minus whatever the digital part brings to the party). Furthermore, there is no explanation as to the difference between regular and digital. Is digital clearer/sharper? What's the advantage? It might be appropriate for seller to clarify what the advantage is.UPDATE: On 12/28, I received codes for 'upgrades' for purchasing digital and an apology from Amazon that their descriptions were lacking.

I received this drive, and everything worked fine. I used the drive for several months before downloading a copy of an xbox original game from xbox live. Upon trying the game, it "couldn't start". I tried redownloading the game several times, but it never worked. After days troubleshooting the issue, I found out the drive was a counterfeit. I've contacted the seller muchbuy about a replacement. I wish that I had found out sooner and could have just returned it to Amazon.I'll append this review when I hear back from the seller.

I've officially converted to Xbox.I've been a die-hard Playstation fan ever since the first Playstation released and swore PS3 was always better than Xbox 360.However, once I got this and started using xbox live, I understand, and agree that it's worth the $4/month to play on xbox live.Joining friends = Super easyFriends joining you = Super easyCommunication between friends = Super easyEverything just falls into place and feels right. Not really a good explanation, but once you try it, you'll know what I'm trying to say.I got this for an incredible price. Once I ordered it, the price was no longer available 10 minutes afterwards.Regardless, this is a great system.Literally, whisper quiet.This system does generate a lot of heat, so make sure wherever you place it is well ventilated.I love the fact that you can save your discs to the system.This feature is such a no brainer... I have no idea why Sony doesn't do the same.I have the newest generation PS3, which is INCREDIBLY loud when reading from the disc drive.Compared to the PS3, you can't even hear the Xbox when they're both on.All in all, I highly recommend the Xbox 360 if you're in the market for a gaming system.Just a side note, there are a LOT more people online with an Xbox than a PS3.

My last 360 decided one day that the drive wasan't going to work anymore. It was actually my second as my first had red ringed 3 months in. I can't really knock it to bad the replacement console lasted 4 years. The redesign of the 360 did fix alot of problems that the first gen console had. Cooling has been improved consideribly. The vent is now on top just keep it clean with a damp rag to keep dusting down. I have had only 2 heat related crashes when it was near 90 out and i don;t have A/C in my house. Now there was one problem, I had forgotten my windows live ID and pass code this is required to xfer data or digital rights to another console. (I had to buy it all again) i didn't like that at all, I wish microsoft would make it easier to do that. The built in WIFI is great i didn't need to get an adapter to get onto live. they called it the slim don't believe that for a second its not slimmer at all. to sum up a much needed update for a popular console, I worry about what's comming next cause systems like this are only now reaching their limit, Also if you like buying used games start complaining about digital rights management now before they rig consoles to not play used games. remember what an angry mob can do. We got the ending of Mass Effect 3 changed and if we start now we can keep console devlopers from locking their systems to used games. We start complaining they will give in they need us more then we need them. To sum up I like it and have had no problems to report. Oh and before i forget do get the 250gb hard drive you can save your games to the drive and extend the life of your disc drive. (really should take my own advice

Seems to be a good deal, still tapping all the possibilities of this feature filled gaming system. It's been a hit with the whole family the first few days it has been up and running, but there is a lot more to discover with the system. So far my son (10) has mastered the menus, etc. So the learning curve is not too huge. The Kinect is amazingly impressive as well. A great entertainment addition for any family.The 250GB option gives us plenty of room for downloadable games, features, etc. We have already loaded up Minecraft and Kinect Party (which are both recommended with 8-10 year olds or older even) and we have plenty more space to spare without worry like we'd have with the 4GB option. It just seemed to be worth the extra cost to lessen our worries down the road and attempt tricky expansions of disk space ourselves. So far so good here.

At first I thought this product did not work, but I had to contact Xbox live customer support to help with set up. Originally, when I tried to install this into my Xbox, it was not being recognized by the Xbox home screen, and even began to think it was a knock-off HDD. But after a few hours of frustration, I got ahold of customer service. They had me delete, and then reinstall an update, and then reinstall the HDD. After that, my Xbox was finally recognizing the new HDD! I was very happy that I did not end up wasting nearly $100 in buying this HDD. So far, happy overall.

I was replacing an original xbox that developed graphics issues and finally, the red ring. I reviewed the on-line instructions for trying to fix this but that would have been a temporary fix so I bought this during the holiday sale that was going on. There certainly a big difference between the new unit and the old in terms of speed. Also, I personally prefer getting the 250Gb model so that games can be loaded on the drive. This means that start up and continuation of games happens almost instantly instead of waiting a few minutes for everything to load from disc. Very happy with the new unit.

When I finally found the right product I was looking for my Xbox 360, I was just waiting and waiting for the price to go down. However, when I got an E-mail telling me that I can get it for under $61, I just had to buy it; with good reason. Months ago I got GTA San Andreas for Xbox and I needed the Hard drive with Xbox game Capability. If your looking for a storage device for your Xbox 360 Slim, with Xbox game Capability, Then looking no further. I Highly Recommend this is the product.

I bought this hard drive believing it was a used Microsoft original hard drive, since it was listed at the top of the page as 'by Microsoft Software'. I had the intention of being able to play original XBox titles on my 360. This hard drive is definitely NOT 'by Microsoft Software'. It works OK in the system; it actually does play original XBox titles, but the load times of my 360 titles seem slow and sometimes the games lag and the audio cuts in and out (they used to play fine when run using the flash memory on the 360 Slim). There are definitely no identifying marks on this drive that show it is made by Microsoft. My only conclusion is that the hard drive is a hacked knock-off drive; it even came with some knock-off packaging to make it look somewhat legitimate. So be aware, if you're looking for a genuine Microsoft product, you won't get it. The shipping was technically within the posted time span for it to arrive, but it took almost a month for it to reach me. That's an incredibly long time by any standards. I won't be returning/exchanging the hard drive though, as it might seemingly take a year before I ever get one back.

I already own a xbox 360, so I ordered this bundle for my daughter for christmas. She lives about an hour and a half away so it's fun being able to play with her online. Both games that come with the system are great, Forza 4 is the best racing sim I've ever played. (Gran Turismo fanboys gtfo), Skyrim is amazing, not my daughters type of game so I used the download code for it and sold my hard copy for $30. It's an awesome game. The codes for the amazon bundle digital edition took a little longer to receive (sent via email) than the system itself. You receive 5 individual codes, 1 for each game. The 3 months of gold you have to redeem through amazon so it's going to be a little bit of a hassle. I still haven't done it. I wish they would have just sent me a code. Great value though.

this was a gift from santa and haven't been able to play it yet. due to when it was set up for Christmas morning it wouldn't play. So I called the xbox360 customer service and they informed me that I needed to send the hard drive back to them at my cost and they would then replace once they recveived it. So I sent it back to them at my cost. They informed that it would take at least up to ten days before we would get the replacement. So this will be way into January. I am very disappointed in this product from Microsoft. And I have very disappointed child who hasn't been able to play with what Santa brought her for Christmas. So I will not buy anymore Microsoft gaming systems if they cant guarantee their workmanship and having to pay to have the hardrive shipped back to them. :(
