This is my very first experience using a webcam and I have to say I was highly impressed with this product. The installation disk had some interface trouble with my laptop but I was immediately taken to an online 'patch' that corrected the problem and allowed for trouble-free installation. I specifically wanted a webcam so that I could talk to my granddaughter and it works excellently! There is a clear picture, no errors or pop ups of any kind, no delay in time and I'm told the microphone works excellently. (And my 4 yo granddaughter got a kick out of seeing her Meme on the computer! Lol.)I initially saw this product as 50% off and that raised a warning flag, but not one of my worries came true. This product runs on my Windows 7 Home environment. It has not delayed shut down or boot up of my system (something I heard it might do). All in all it is worth the 5 star rating!

So I bought this product for my desktop that I built, and I was gonna put it on my monitor. Turns out when this thing arrived in the mail that it doesn't fit a standard computer monitor, and it's a webcam made for a laptop. The video is great on Skype and so is the mic, but that's about it for me.

Doesn't have all the features of the expensive webcams like pan and zoom, but produces great image quality and decent sound. Great for the price.

Product was a little hard to keep open the clamp and then onto the laptop. Picture quality is grainy. I guess you get what you pay for though. $13. Microphone is really does noise cancelling, but your speakers must be turned up in order to hear.

It took a while to actually purchase the camera. We researched it for quite a while and at the end, we just went with it by luck! Purchased for a business, it takes quite a few pictures a day. Great images, clear and high quality. Great price.

worked really really well for some time, i've had it for about 6 months. buuut here's what got it only 3 stars, its not durable at all. after only 5 months or so its gotten touchy, laggy, and worst of all randomly shuts off the camera. i was disappointed but you get what you pay for.

This works as well as I hoped it would. Use for UStream, which has lower resolution than the camera can achieve. So it meets my needs to watch my dog. :)

Got this for $25 and the picture is great. It installed it very quickly and Skype instantly recognized it (on Windows 7). The picture quality is fantastic even at night under normal house lights. The kids loved the special effects that the camera can generate with stretched faces, hats, cats faces etc which are also transmitted through to the other person on Skype....that has given plenty of amusement already. My daughter (11) so loved it, that she actually parted with her own money to buy herself one which speaks volumes.The flex mount works well for my monitor and her laptop. The lead is slightly shorter than my old webcam but is still long enough.

first thing i loved was the look. it is one of the best looking webcams i have yet to see. the video quality is decent, nothing to complain about.i have an HP compaq 8510p and the retractable spring loaded clip just barely goes far enough to fit y screen snug.

Good camera but the software sucks! The video is clear even in low lighting and the auto focus works. It is recommendable for skype and other social media use.

I use this to make stop-motion movies. The picture quality is very good. The camera can easily clip onto any flat screen monitor, and it can be set on top of a CRT monitor (or the floor, or a desk, etc). The 6 foot cable is very handy when you want the camera far from the computer. The focus is slightly hard to use at first, but after you get used to it, it works well. The pan, tilt, zoom, and face-tracking can only be used on low resolutions. Some of the software effects didn't install on my laptop (however, note that my laptop is VERY old and is running XP). When you try to physically move the camera around, it's easy to accidentally push the Windows Live call button and start Live Messenger.

This webcam works great with my Windows XP Home Sp3 laptop which is what I bought for. However, if you want it to work with SP3 you must install the latest version of Microsoft Lifecam which is 3.2. Other than that I really have no complaints with it. It clips onto my laptop with ease, it works like it says, and thats probably about it. The microphone works amazing. When I speak to people on Skype they tell me I sound better when I use this webcam than on the one on my Windows 7 machine. Anyways a great buy!Note: If you're having trouble mounting it on your laptop try pulling clip out then mount it on your laptop.

I bought this Webcam for a Mac computer. I was suspecting its compatibility, therefore I looked everywhere in its description, even reviews to find a sign stating if it works on Mac or not, but didn't find any, so I bought it assuming that it'll work. It didn't work on Mac, and its software/driver is for different Windows editions. That wasn't shocking since it's branded "Microsoft"! But I really expect to see full information about its compatibility under product description.Although, I tested it on a PC and liked its quality, resolution, and speed of video capturing. I did not test its microphone though.The product's overall quality and built is fairly well. It's small and its clip works pretty good. I highly recommend it for PC users. Considering its price on Amazon, it's among the best Webcams.

The Microsoft LifeCam NX-3000 Webcam is a great, affordable, and small webcam. It's perfect for laptops. The picture is good when the lighting is bright but not so good on the dark. The direction of the camera can be moved on a certain angle for easier use.

Inexpensive, and it does what it is suppose to. What else is there? The flip out cover is a good idea. I've lost slip-on covers in the past, but not this one. I'd get another if I need one.

I didn't own a webcam till I bought this one. I would borrow one from my friend who would have to use his x-box cam when I had his. I loved it so much I bought it for that same friend for Chrismas. He was running/letting me borrow his Microsoft Lifecam none hd webcam.

I was surprised by the quality of the video from this camera. In terms of colors, brightness, and responsiveness it's a lot better than the built-in one on my laptop (though I do not use it with my laptop in general, I did plug it in once for comparison).The attachment mechanism is unique; the base is bendable. It has a sort of "hook" at the front. You can either just stand it up on your desk, or you can put it on top of your screen by bending the stand and hooking it on the top of your monitor or laptop screen. It works great on a desktop LCD, doesn't really work at all on most laptops because screen is too thin for it to attach securely. Also, the camera *does* have a built in microphone.The focal-length is fixed - apparently at 21" to 60". So it failed completely when I tried to use it to scan a document - you have to hold it too far away for it to focus, at which point the document is too small. It's reasonably useful for taking simple videos of your surroundings - just don't try to record anything more than 5 feet away.In my view, the drawbacks I've mentioned are inherent to the price range, so I haven't deducted any stars. It works great for what it is. My point+shoot camera takes better video, but it cost about 10 times as much.Whatever drivers were needed installed automatically on my Windows XP computer. I never touched the CD that came with the camera.

The widescreen is great. Had no issues setting it up (literally took like a minute). The included software is pretty neat, what with the graphic effects and overlays. The design makes it to where it sits just fine on my 32 inch tv that I use as a monitor, or It sits just fine on my desk. It would be nice if the cord was a little longer (it's about 4 ft), but that's not a major gripe. Definitely a great product for the price.
