Great product, excellent wide viewing angle and picture quality. Found out my dual core computer video card not up to supplying none smearing picture movement at the high resolution settings of the web cam. Will be looking for a higher performance computer in the future.

This is a nice camera for the price. But keep in mind that it is not compatable with Windows 7, so if you are planning to upgrade anytime in the near future, I would choose a newer model. But other wise it's sound and picture quality are great. I mounted it on a LCD monitor using a little piece of L-shaped plastic and some tape, it looks great!

I love how small it is. I remember the old days when webcams were humongous and on tripods. And they had horrible audio/video. The video on this little Webcam is as good as I could hope for, it adjusts automatically depending upon how light or dark my room is. And my PC is next to an open window so it adjusts nicely for daytime or nighttime. The audio is good, I can clearly hear myself when recording. And I like that it can be used to record video. I teach classical guitar and might be able to use this little guy for some on-line lessons. The time lag appears to be minimal, which is why I have procrastinated so long in getting a webcam. I hate saying or doing something and a second or two later the action is delivered to the other person.The only problem I have had with it was loading the Microsoft software it came with. Instead of using the disk that came with the Webcam, I went directly to the site and downloaded it from there but it still took well over 30 minutes to install. I am using Windows XP. Then my browser, (Firefox) kept locking up on me. "Live Messenger" windows kept popping up and my only recourse was to reboot the system and that only worked part of the time. I have since uninstalled all programs from Microsoft concerning this Webcam and have downloaded Skype which seems to work perfectly well with no problems to my web browser.So far I am very pleased with this little wonder of technology!

This is my 1st Cam, so the review will be circumspect. The video quality and sound seem to exceed friends and family members "cheaper" cams. My wife has the same one and utilizes it for global business conference calls. Buying the same New Cam on Amazon saved me the expense of buying it at a Retail Chain(Best Buy). I easily saved $30.00-$40.00, no 8% state tax tacked on, and it was delivered to my door. For me, it was a much better quality Cam at a Cheap Cam Price.

My LifeCam arrived this afternoon. The software was easily installed and very user friendly. The webcam sits nicely on top of my regular old Compaq. I love that I can position it anywhere along the top of the monitor. The adjustable lense is fabulous! I immediately tried it on a Skype video call and the quality was great. I also used it with Windows Live Messenger and was pleased there too. The small case it comes with is very handy. I can easily keep the webcam in my purse or laptop bag and know that it will be a little more protected. I may purchase something a little sturdier if I find I travel a lot with it because soft-sided cases are really only good for preventing scratches and nicks.Since I haven't had it long, I can't say much about it's longevity. I'm definitely hoping it won't need to be replaced anytime soon.My only small complaint would be that the USB cable is permanently attached. I'd prefer if it was separate so that I didn't have to twist the cord up to store it. But that's a slight inconvenience.And the price -- excellent. I researched webcams at a few different places and Amazon's price for this particular model was far lower than anywhere else I looked.

This is my first web cam, so I don't really have anything to compare it too. But I found it easy to install and use and the picture quality is surprisingly good. I think its gotta be the best web cam for the low price.

This item was awesome. It comes with a CD that makes it even better, but the CD isn't necessary and it can be used plug-n-play from any computer. I was surprised at how great the Sound canceling feature works. My wife can chat with me with the kids in the room and the baby crying and I can easily understand what she is saying. Great product, I highly recommend it.

I bought this webcam to use with an old IBM Thinkpad R-30 since it is compatible with the old 1 ghz Pentium III processor and Windows XP OS. It is difficult to find cameras that work with the slower processors. The price was good and Amazon.com delivered the product quickly and without problem. The camera installed and activated with no problems with a good quality image displayed on the computer. Sometimes when turned on there is a multiple image with snow displayed that disappears with a reboot - most likely straining the older system that I am using.The MS Messenger activation button on the top of the camera is rather large and very sensitive, making it awkward to position the camera without initiating the circuit.I have been trying to operate the webcam with Yahoo IM since my daughters uses this service. Yahoo does not recognize the camera even when I see myself on the screen and states that the "image size" is not adequate for Yahoo IM when the maximum display size is selected in the camera options..The poorly engineered clip arrangement that is discussed in other reviews is a problem with the Thinkpad as there is not enough travel in the clip to allow it to be attached. Since I am running a clunker laptop anyway, I put a piece of self-stick velcro on the edge of outside of the screen frame about as wide as the camera and a small hook segment on the camera base about as wide as the word "Microsoft" under the word "Microsoft" (pad on laptop, hooks on camera). To support the left side and keep the rotation of the lens unobstructed, I put a small hook segment attached to the pad and left the plastic shield on the adhesive. This acts as a shim and holds the horizontal alignment. It is a cheap, simple fix that works well and the modification does not prevent storage in the case or interfere with the operation of the camera.

I bought the vx7000 about a month ago for me and my girlfriend to videochat. The difference in image quality between this and a low end creative is huge. The picture is great and the voice quality is top notch. In combination with skype, the vx7000 allows us to see and hear each other perfectly from hundreds of miles away.

If only I could somehow convey in words the absolute disgust I have with microsoft for charging anything above 15 dollars for this worthless toy. Not only the price, but the advertising on the box which is so misleading it shouldn't even be legal.It's cute how they say it's video has 2.0 megapixel capability. What they wouldn't tell you is the framerate is so slow it renders this function absolutely useless. I can't even understand how it can be legal to advertise on the box. It's so choppy, grainy, and slow. It's 2.0 megapixel video by name only I assure you. The video function is only smooth at 860 and under.The audio recording is a joke as well. The feedback is simply horrible, even with my speakers placed about 3 feet away from it (which is by the way beyond the means of most people on their desks). It increases as the camera zooms in as well! In fact it even adds a horrid beeping throughout the audio recording.Another excellent feature is that it's extremely dark, until you zoom in, in which it adds a much needed lightening, but then it has an annoying beeping sound and terrible feedback. So either you can't see me, or you are stabbing your ears out.The software is laughable as well. To anyone thinking they would get I daresay useable effects, I hate to let you down. I kid you not here are some of the effects: Bee, Ladybug, Kite, Butterfly, Pizza, Ice Cream. Other than adding these absolutely lame 2-d effects that noone with a strain of dignity would use, the only other thing it can do is pan, zoom, and offer adjustments to the brightness and contrast and such. The funny thing is, adjusting all of these things is useless. You basically have to keep brightness and contrast up 85% of the way or higher everywhere except perhaps a tanning bed, and I doubt a laptop would be of much use there. Oh and the pan is simple adorable, it can move almost a smidgen from side to side and up and down.To top it off, there's a little insidious, evil button on top which immediately tries to open messenger when depressed. There's no way to turn it off or it's function.This should be sold at Toys R Us for 15$ in a box with smiling personified inanimate computer objects with cartoon-ish text illustrating what a great camera for the whole family it is. That advertising would be much more accurate. Though it should be marketed more towards deaf and blind families, for only they will be able to appreciate it's benefits.

As background, this is my fourth webcam so I did have an idea what to expect. The computer it was installed on is running Windows Vista Premium Home Edition. The installation disk was recognized when inserted and the installation went off without problems. When the camera was attached Windows recognized it and a dialog box came up saying it was installing drivers. So no problems so far.The picture from the camera is very clear and the camera is much easier to position than my other cameras because of the pull-apart/swivel/rotating base, great feature. I tried it on my desk, flat panel monitor, and a window ledge, all were fine.The LifeCam control panel allows you to change resolution from 640x480 to 1.3 MP (picture capture) and 640x480 (video capture), there are also some other lower resolutions to chose from. Adjusting properties such as brightness, sharpness, etc. from the panel is very easy.One of my favorite features is the cord is extra long, over three feet, in my case I can set it to shoot out a window at a deer feeding station and watch the fellows frolic. Plus works with Windows IM and it worked on Skype also.It does come with three face plates, red, white and blue but I can't see myself ever changing the color.All in all, really a great camera for the price.

I use this cameras at work for communication and they work very well. They are compact and the built-in microphone is a major plus because that eliminates the hassle of having an additional wire. However , you have to make sure to speak loud enough because sometimes, depending on the environmental noise, the microphone seems to have issues picking up your voice.So I recommend this camera to be used at home or in a place that is not very noisy.I find it difficult to use with my laptop because you cannot put the camera or top of the laptop screen, well , you can set it on top of the screen but it is not very stable. You have to set it up on the side or on a separate base.It folds so it is very portable, I carry it in my laptop case with no problem at all.It does come with color plates but I don't really care about those. It is packed with effects for avatars and masks, so if your children will be using it they will love it. They may require some help to set up these features but nothing major. Also, there are more downloads available from Microsoft like extra masks and avatars and landscapes. I use this when I am talking with friend or just playing around.I recommend this over the Microsoft VX-1000 and VX-3000 or any other Logitech that include microphone just because of the size (not bulky) It is about the 2/3 the size of my Blackberry.

I read a number of product review of webcams before making my selection of Microsoft Lifecam VX-7000. The lifecam VX-7000 is a wonderful product, it is easy to use and transmit a good video picture. I purchased the webcam primarily to see a family member who live in another state. I have used the webcam many times and have not had a video failure.The volume and video level is good and I would recommend this webcam for purchase.

I have two webcams since 2001.Both are $5....one was by X-Eye and the other by VQ110.In 2008, I decided to spend a little more hoping for a better quality.Well, my initial assumption was correct.Webcam is still a webcam....doesn't matter how much you spend.I bougth this Microsoft VX-7000 because of the 30 fps and high definition advertisement. This turned out to be the "false advertisement". I'll break this down into GOOD and BAD section.////////////BAD:////////////30 fps can only be achieved with resolution 800x600 pixel.if you set the resolution higher than that, you will get blurry image for any movement which rendered the high resolution useless.I used their LifeCam software that came with the CD. Can't even change the location of the recorded image (photo or video).Can't change the installation location. You put the CD in, click NEXT, and it does the rest including reboot. Didn't even bother to ask you.Documentation is mediocre. I think they assumed that there's nothing much to document...which is true. :-) After you installed the driver, the onscreen prompt walks you thru the process./////////////////THE GOOD://///////////////1) The design is nice. Can be used for laptop or desktop.2) Green LED to indicate if the camera is in used or not.3) 6 feet USB cable.4) Microphone built-in and works well with ability to fine tune the mic.///////////////CONCLUSION:///////////////Webcam is a webcam. Don't waste too much money on this thing. You can get a $5 webcam and it gives you the same image quality. In low light situation, they all suffer and this is not just in webcam category. This applies to photography/video. Law of physics still applies here. No light can't see. When light is low, the software will attempt to compensate exposure and you will get somewhat a brighter image but with the sacrafice of graininess and color defintion....once again, the law of physics not only apply to webcam but to all image recording equipment even the $30,000 high definition camera we owned.If you just looking for a webcam, spend no more than $30. I like this Microsoft model because it can be used with laptop/desktop and has mic built-in. I paid $85 for VX-7000. Two days after I got it, the price has dropped to $50!!!If I have to do it all over again, I might look into the LogiTec Pro 9000.This VX-7000 is used on Widnows XP Pro w/ SP2, 3.2 GHz CPU with 2 GB RAM, DirectX 9.0, 512 MB GPU.Further updates will be posted on my personal website at sokhaDotcom.

Image definition is unbeatable! Sound quality clean & clear. Size ideal for traveling laptops (not to mention the little black bag to save it). Fully compatible with MSN and Skype (altought a lot better video definition in Skype). One "problem" that it may show in the future would be the clip-type device to attach it to your laptops' screen frame, it could disloge someday. I'm not sure if it is suppose to heat-up as much as mine does... if this is normal ok, if it's not then I'll be buying another type from Microsoft later.

This camera is great, it also takes great pictures too. The only problem I had when I installed it was that I needed to update the sofware online, anyone with XP pack service two and above needs to do this, but it was easy and the camera is up and working great!

I have a Toshiba Sattelite notebook, but when I bought it, I didn't think a webcam was really necessary, but recently I have found that it is something I wanted, so I found a great deal for this little number on ebay. I looked it up and checked some reviews, but I didn't read anything about this. The clip is made for a screen less than a 1/4 inch wide. Checking with my friends here at school, none of them have a screen that thin; my screen is just about a 1/2 inch wide at the top, where it is supposed to clip onto. Right now, I'm working on trying to make something similar to the mount on the Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP (Black), but right now, I'm using something I rigged up using a nylon cord, a piece of foam, two paper clamps, and the two tabs that lock the screen closed onto my laptop, so I can say the camera works well enough for what I use it for if you're clever enough to mount it in place.

We have used this on two different laptops, and the video is always bad. The auto contrast feature doesn't adjust for ambient and/or background light very well. Background noise is picked-up making conversations hard to hear.

Having compared this to the VX-5000, I definitely prefer it but it is more costly and for general usage the cheaper model gives you roughly the same audio/video quality from what I could tell. The video quality is more than acceptable for a webcam in this price range. The audio quality via the built-in microphone is pretty righteous considering the cost. But again, the same can be said about the less expensive 5000.There are some additional features to distinguish it, including a 3-D video effect. I didn't mess around with it too much, but it is there if you like tinkering with distortion effects and the like. There's also a feature where you can share videos with other LifeCam users if you both have Vista on your computer. I don't, so it makes it hard for me to do backflips over this. But again, if it is something you're looking for - it's available with this unit.

Maybe I should have posted a video review with it, heh.Pros: The video quality is excellent. I can wave or whatever, and you can tell what I'm doing. The color is also nice, and you can make out my facial features very well. That's all you really need in a webcam. I love how it's designed. It's very compact, and it looks hella cool.Cons: The built-in mic is of a decent quality, but it's kind of unnecessary. It's difficult to position yourself to say something. Fortunately, that doesn't make much of a difference to me, so whatever. Oh, and the software won't work on my computer. I don't know why (maybe it's me), but you don't really need it.It's not the best camera ever, but I'd say it's top of the line for a webcam. Get it if you're looking for a good webcam that doesn't cost too much.

The "Microsoft LifeCam VX-55000" is a great little webcam that installs fairly quickly (on my Vista Laptop PC) and provides good video and audio quality.This webcam was very easy to install and setup, taking less than a half hour so before I was able to make my first test shots. The automatic recognition by Windows Live Messenger was great and did not require any additional settings.The video quality is good for web and video chatting (VGA - 640x480 resolution), but I wouldn't use it for taking photos that are to be printed. The audio is also good for video chatting, but not much else.The faceplate can be changed from Red, to either Blue or White with ease, but this is purely cosmetic.The included software also allows you to take snapshot stills, video clips, or audio clips from the LifeCam. These are not great quality, as noted above, but are good for quick captures.This is a good solid webcam that performs better than expected!Recommended!

For some reason this camera keeps stalling my computer. It's gotten a little better since I quit using the wireless internet and just plug into the wall. But even when it does work, the program doesn't always load correctly. For example, I often can't see the icon that lets me use the special effects. And sometimes I can't see myself, although I can see the person on the other end and they can see me. I have XP, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Could be my internet service. However, when I can get the camera to work correctly, it has a decent picture and decent sound.

I admit I've never owned a web cam, but bought on to do a web chat with a distant friend and his young grand daughter, before she forget who I am.This one met my needs and was easy to set up and use, right out of the box with the included software. The product works fine, also takes still photos and allows you to record audio (only) files using its microphone. Audio quality is pretty good. I've also used this web cam to embed audio and video clips in emails (think "happy birthday" video messages). It easily adjusts for mounting different ways.The only thing to know, though not a problem, is that the software takes forever to load from the CD--so long that I was convinced there was a problem, even though there was not. You won't go wrong with this inexpensive and easy-to-install/easy to use web cam.

I love being able to see my daughter in her travelsout of the United States-it's great.Today our daughter watched her niece open the presents she sent her,it was a very rewarding experience for everyone.Picture clearity is excellent and I recommend theMicrosoft LifeCam VX-3000 (68A-00001) to anyone who would like aweb-cam for their computer,also thank you for your prompt service.Sincerely, D.R.

This so far is the most frustrating USB-connected hardware I've dealt with.As soon as I installed the software from CD, I was able to see the image while going through the config wizard but soon the image froze and half a minute later the computer crashed with BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) diagnostic, that said it was an USB related STOP condition.I searched MS support KB and found suggestion on limiting the USB bandwidth used - by unchecking "Auto" in configuration and decreasing the speed manually (I brought it from 6mbps to 3). After that the camera seemed to work more reliably and I could use it from Skype and Yahoo messenger.Funny enough, the MS own provided LifeCam software wouldn't work with the camera. After I start it, I could go to the settings and preferences just fine, but the main window shows timeout message and all buttons are grayed out.In a hope software update can solve the issue, I went for it. The software it came with on CD is v1.10, after installation checks and asks you to download an update that bumps it to v1.20. No good. I checked on Microsoft Hardware site and lo and behold, there is v1.30, which they offer you for the vx-3000. OK, so I install it - tough luck, LifeCam still doesn't work. At which point I decided that LifeCam is a heap of manure and uninstalled you - not to worry, the webcam drivers remain installed for use with Skype/Yahoo/other less fertilizing programs.Here is a troubleshooting advice I learned from MS KB as well: if the camera doesn't get recognized anymore - which needless to say happened to me too, unplugging and re-plugging registers it as Unknown device and "Update Driver" couldn't recognize it anymore. In such a case go to Device Manager and delete anything under "Universal Serial Bus controllers", then let Windows rediscover and re-install the devices (eventually restart).Tip #2: annoyed by the button on top always trying to fire up MSN messenger which you never use? No nice way to turn that off (what! dare you think of not using Microsoft's Live Messenger?!). So here is a hack: go to Program Files/Microsoft LiveCam directory, find and rename icepick.exe to icepick.ex_ . Ta-da - no more annoying popups while you were just trying to adjust the camera angle and hit that big button. Really advanced users can find in registry to path to icepick.exe and change it to a more useful program, like Skype.Caveat emptor: the tips provided assume good knowledge of what you are doing, for example if you don't know what Device Manager is to return the camera and buy one that is not so darn difficult to install.

I have family that lives out of state and gave this to them as a gift/test. They've been dying to try a video chat so they can see their two year old twin grandchildren, but they never got the courage to buy a camera on their own.I sent the VX-5500 to them and they were able to set it up on their own. Later that night the kids were in awe how their grandparents were on the screen.From our end the video of them came through nice and clear. They were even able to add special effects to the video which automatically recognize the face and apply the effect to the person's face.Overall it is a high quality product that has given us great results in both usability, quality, and price. I would highly recommend this.

After buying and using this camera for a while, I am very pleased. It is a solid camera, and the only thing I don't like is that it is choppy with fast movements, but the quality is pretty high, so I guess that is the reason. I have cable internet, but it could also be the people I use Skype with. Who knows, but either way, I recommend this camera as for its price, it can't be beat. It is extremely easy to install, and after popping in the CD and installing all its components, all you have to do is hook it up and it's good to go.

I have bought 3 of these units in the past 30 days.. of which, one doesn't work at all.. one only has the mic working, and one is intermittent, works when it feels like it.. I wouldn't give you 3 cents for a dozen of these things.. I'm going to shop for something that works everytime, not part of the time.. these look nice, easy install, but.. don't work! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY UNTIL SOMEONE FIXES THEM..

The webcam was shipped timely, and the installation was easy enough. My only negative comment is the cheesy clip for attaching it to my laptop's edge. I agree with everyone else on this cheap and somewhat bad design. Everytime I try to adjust the camera, I hit the botton on the top of it, opening the MS communicator, which I do not use. I use Skype both domestically and internationally, and it has been a good camera in that respoect.

This camera will not work with AOL IM ("AIM"), at least not on Windows Vista. It promises "broad compatability" but crashes AIM every time I start a video chat. If you are using AOL IM for video chat and want a web cam that works, look elsewhere. Now I'm going to have to use Windows Live Messenger. This is, by the way, the definition of a monopoly in action.

My mom and sister have webcams so I decided it was time to try one out for myself. I am not a wizard at computer accessories, yet this was really easy for me to install. The camera works great and because of it's size and the adjustable base you can sit it anywhere. I have been using it for several months without any problems. I would recommend it to anyone, especially people who want something that is easy to use and works like it says it does.

My high-end Logitech Fusion webcam never worked properly on a consistent basis with my system. Logitech support wasn't able to help so I finally gave up and decided to try the LifeCam VX-3000.The LifeCam VX-3000 is my 5th webcam since the late 90's. So far, it's the best I've ever used. My main purpose for the webcam was to communicate with my family in another state, in both video and audio. I have to say, mission accomplished.The size of the VX-3000 is more dimunitive in size than I expected. I included a photo so people get an idea. It looks a lot bigger in the photos than it really is. It also fits a lot snugger on my Dell 19 inch LCD monitor than did the Logitech. Because of the base design, I can put it flat on the desk or hook it on top of the monitor.The main review I read from PC Magazine states that the mic did a poor job so I was a concerned as the audio is almost as important to me as the video. The fear was unfounded as I tested it with my family for over an hour and they could hear me just fine with only a slight echo when I placed it too close to my speakers.The video resolution is 640x480, more than enough for my needs. The VX-6000 has higher resolution, but is also more than twice as expensive. I was very satisifed with the video and the low light support was excellent and worked better than the Logitech Fusion.The Live Call button on top of the camera is actually a nuisance when trying to adjust the angle of the camera. I don't see myself ever using it and only works with Windows Live Messenger anyways. The cam itself swivels vertically and horizontally. The vertical swivel is actually quite stiff so you need to hold the cam with both hands to adjust. I guess it's a good thing so that the cam doesn't get out of position easily. The cord is also a decent length so if you want to pick the camera up and move it around, it gives you some freedom to do so.The only thing lacking that I would have wanted is a sliding lens cover, both to protect the lens and for privacy. I went back and forth on wanting the VX-3000 and the VX-6000. The comparison table shows that the VX-6000's only benefits are 3x digital zoom, high-speed USB and a wide angle lens. I know that the video resolution is also higher. For me, I didn't need the digital zoom. Also, I didn't know that there was a difference in USB. I thought all USB 2.0 was "high-speed." The instructions on the webcam recommend connecting to USB 2.0 so what exactly is "high-speed?" The wide angle lens would've been great, but not worth the extra cost. Certainly, the two most compelling reasons to get the VX-6000 is the wide angle lens and the higher video resolution. Based on my needs, the better value was the VX-3000.The version of the drivers that came on CD-ROM with the cam was 1.1 but I downloaded 1.3 from Microsoft's website. I have to say that after some weeks of using Windows Live Messenger, it has a habit of getting disconnected quite often. My family has observed this as well. Until Microsoft remedies this, I may have to switch over to Google Talk with a video plug-in but the webcam itself, is exactly what I wanted.

Excelent Webcam Nice picture with zoom pan and tilt. Built in mike has good sound quality, but sometimes picks up echo from speakers. Flexable mounting options can be hung on most monitors or placed on a flat surface. Included software has some nice features that scans your face and allow you to change facial features. Works well with both Windows XP 32 bit and Windows Vista 64 bit. I have been using this product for over 3 weeks, it has resolved some audio problems I was having when using messenger with my old webcam.

I am very pleased with this product. The camera is small, has a good quality picture, and has a very flexible stand \ mount. It can be perched on top of your monitor, or on an appropriate spot on you desk (if unlike me, you have free space on your desk!). The unit comes with 3 interchangable face plates - a maroon red, white, and a blue face place. To switch them is rather easy.A light shows on the webcam when it is in use, and it has a microphone built in. The install is quite easy - you just load the drivers via a supplied CD. There are some rather numerous downloads and updates that it grabs from the internet. MS Live is installed.I set this up as my default device for Skype and MS Live, and it works admirably. This camera is small enough that it could easily be put on a laptop.

I really can't tell if the camera is any good because I haven't been able to get it to work with my computer. It works well with Windows 7 RC.I now have a new computer with windows 7 professional and this camera works great. Just plugged it in and windows installed the drivers and it has been working great. I don't know why it wouldn't work with RC.

This VX-7000 provides a good image quality with a higher resolution and also has a nice fancy design. The installation of this webcam is very easy and stable on the top of a stand-alone monitor. Or, this can be stood on the desk. But this can not be installed on the top of notebook PC monitor. If you use Window XP in your computer, Service Pack 2 is required to install this webcam.

The reviews I read on the Microsoft LifeCam VX-5500 convinced me that it was far and away the webcam to buy. In fact I bought three of them. Two for family elsewhere. After a week of trying; loading and downloading; deleting and reloading 5 times, I have yet to see the parties on the other side. I hear them fine, just cannot get a picture of them. I followed all instructions to the "t" as well. I downloaded only using Internet Explorer. Kept getting error messages. What a disappointment. Worst thing is, I bought it through Amazon.com but did not receive any return documentation, so I'm stuck with the thing. Would not recommend this webcam! And my family receiving them as gifts must be upset with me by now.

My sister is the one that told me about the vx-7000. I told my daughters in N.C and S.Cal. They bought one too. It's like being in the same room with them. We have alot of fun with the camera, plus we can now visit every weekend.

The drivers that come with it don't work on Vista, so I had to search for an upgraded driver, which was quite a pain. I eventually found one that did work on Microsoft. The description says it will work with Vista, and technically, I suppose it does, but it does not with what is originally packed in the box.
