+ Если не шевелится - картинка хорошая. Цена очень приемлема. Лично для меня её удобно закреплять и настраивать на зону захвата.

- ## Очень плохая светочувствительность (камеру надо комплектовать прожектором, чтобы при её работе он светил в морду).
## Плохая работа микрофона.
## Матрица 0.3Мп, хотя судя по надписям на коробке можно сделать вывод, что установлена матрица на 1.3Мп.
## Плохое качество фотографий, многие телефоны с аналогичной "по размеру" матрицей 0.3Мп снимают на порядок качественнее.
## Полную спецификацию на камеру можно скачать только с сайта МелкоСофта.

Яркость до нормального уровня прибавляется только программно, при помощи функции "Low Light", но при её включении почему-то совсем перестаёт работать микрофон. Чувствительность микрофона тоже ниже среднего, собеседники постоянно жалуются на "выпадающие" слова из диалогов, (и это при хорошем...

Для видеоконференций пойдет!

+ Камера отличная, и смотрится так солидно на мониторе. К качеству нет никаких претензий, очень хорошо сделана. Сенсор хоть и не 2МП, но со своей задачей справляется, картинка малошумная и почти не дергается. Звук через микрофон чистый и без искажений, собеседник меня хорошо слышал.
- Короткий USB кабель. От системника до монитора ну никак не хватает. Единственный выход, это если в мониторе есть USB выходы.

Камера хоть и заметно дороже своих аналогов (где-то в полтора раза), но думаю тот кто ее купит останется доволен. Если учесть тот факт что их делает Microsoft, то думаю что проблем с драйверами ни у кого не возникнет.

Крепление необычно сделано, оно надежное, но на толстый монитор может и не налезть (на видео это видно). Но если крепить на ноутбук, то она отлично там станет.

- 1. Провод всего 120 см
2. Провод толстоват и жесткий. Хотелось бы потоньше.
3. Зажим годится только для тонких мониторов или для ноутбука, либо для установке на полке.
4. В комплекте нет никакого софта
5. Из за конструкции корпуса нельзя поворачивать объектив камеры в любую сторону. Камера зафиксирована в одном положении.

У меня было 5 бюджетных WEB камер...

Ставил целью купить самую дешёвую веб-камеру для общения по Skype. Сначала взял другую камеру, которая была немного дешевле. Вздрогнул от качества картинки, и обменял на эту с небольшой доплатой.

Устанавливается камера просто втыканием в порт USB. Даже немного сбивает с толку,...

+ Простая модель без наворотов и "прибамбасов".
Приятный дизайн, удобство использования - вставил шнур и готово, отличное соотношение цена - качества, хорошая матрица, обеспечивающая правильную цветопередачу и чёткость изображения, светодиодный сигнал ненавязчивого зелёного цвета на передней панели - сигнализирует о работе камеры, не отвлекая при этом. В комплекте наушник с микрофоном.
- Коротоковат шнур усб - для некоторых это будет минус, кроме тех у кого разбросаны скоростные усб-хабы на рабочем пространстве(как уменя).

Для удобства крепления в комплекте идёт двусторонняя...

+ Отличная камера! Главный плюс - цена. Покупал сестре в подарок для Скайпа. Оказалось, что в комплекте микрофон и наушник (вполне приемлемого качества - ничего отдельно докупать не пришлось). Качество изображения оцениваю при разговоре по скайпу - несомненно лучше аналогов, которые дарил до этого родителям и паре друзей. Изображение четкое, не шумное даже...

Не смог установить ее на WinXP:
При подключении определяется и автоматически загружается драйвер, входящий в WinXP, камера становится видна в "Моем компьютере", качество изображения - хорошее.
Дальше начинаются проблемы: При включении в Skype - появляется ошибка и Skype отключается - возникает конфликтная ситуация и...

AMAZING - Works awesome on Win 7 Ultimate SP 1 and Win 8 Pro; the clarity is so accurate with the NVIDIA graphics (I have close to the latest version, just several below, a SLI Version) and since it is also HDMI looks great on my HDMI 48 (I think it is - maybe it's bigger) inche Wide Screen - HDMI HD TV! It is TOTALLY UNREAL! Sound is perfect, you can use your headset (with microphone) and shut the Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 off (Sound) and speak directly in this manner by using your Sound Configuration there. Either way, the sound is exceptional; no feedbacks - but it does tend to pickup background noises and everything else; especially if you have the WINDOWS OPENED ... and the Garbage Truck comes by and you're talking to someone... I am pretty sure they'd like to hear that! LOL!Here's the Break Down between Win 7 (High End Versions) with SP 1 and Win 8 Pro:Win 7 (I have Ultimate):* Excellent Sound* Superior Picture clarity* Prones to pick up background noise higher than Win 8==> If using the Headset with Mic mode and Mic off on Cam background noiseis cut off dramatically* Works very well with nVidia Graphics* HDMI Friendly* User FriendlyWin 8 Pro:* Excellent Sound* Excellent picture and clarity* HDMI Friendly* User Friendly* Reduction of background noise; can use headset option if so desire (see Win 7 above)TOGETHER:What works on Desktop PC works exceptionally well on HDMI TV (just don't forget this one small thing that the Web Cam is on your monitor, not the TV).Nevertheless, it is very flexible and fits on anything.SPECIAL NOTE:This is not for "low light" or "night monitoring" system; but it does exceptionally well with a 40 watt lightbulb (standard) that reflects off the wall which is impressive. But to be fair game, I also have my NVIDIA graphics card configured so that can have an impact as well as influence.This does come with controls; but I haven't even touched it by reason to the fact that I have everything under control via the NVIDIA graphic control panel. I would rather have it configured to Manual Mode than Automatic Mode ... besides, it could be worse than 100 Shades of Grey (if such book ever comes out) - LOL and you could wind up being in "Trouble With Tribbles". Won't post anymore beyond that!:-xCONS:When Windows Updates this; it will automatically revert your configurations (sometimes) - so you better not be like the above paragraph or if with your spouse (if you are the many who keeps their OS running all the time) be caught in the middle of you-know-what and lest someone catches you e.g. like in your Facebook Buddy List and winds up with posts of " O M G ! Did you see what XXX were doing last night? Glad Cops didn't book'em!"So what do I do? I have this handy little cover for it which protects the lens and protects this from this ruthless Florida's Tropical Weird and Wild Weather plus also in case if ever ... this thing goes on automatically ... there won't be a book on 100 Shades of Grey. What no one can see in case if it went on (if ever) can't be seen!:-DYour Privacy Act Protected (!) - so go ahead and find a dark but breathable cover which is simple to sew and make - like black velvet to microsuede which you could find scraps anywhere from Thrift Store to your own closet or an old pillow which you no longer want or use anymore; cut it out and simple sewing can save you a "Get Out of Jail Free" card!Works Great with Anything:SkypeAIMFacebookTrilliananything that accepts video cam but be sure to configure them properly and accordingly for your protection and privacy!Still having a blast here!

The Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 is Microsoft's latest budget HD webcam offering ($39.95 MSRP). As far as webcams go, it's pretty much been a two horse race for the past few years, with Logitech being the other horse. The HD-3000 boasts 720p support and other enhanced quality features. The last budget Microsoft webcam I reviewed was the LifeCam VX-3000, which was an outstanding webcam value at the time. Can the HD-3000 equal or even best the old king of budget webcams? Let's find out.PROS:- Budget price- Flexible mount(literally)- Decent video chat quality- Good micCONS:- Only VGA quality for chat- High requirements for 720p video recording- No lens cover- Does not swivel up and down- LifeCam software is a resource hogVIDEO QUALITYThe first thing I have to mention is that the 720p HD designation only applies to local recordings. For video chats, only VGA is supported. I think Microsoft should make this clearer as I'm sure many people think that the HD-3000 supports chatting in HD. This is not the case. Still, I found the VGA quality to be improved over the older VX-3000. The fixed focus lens did pretty well at keeping everything clear and focused. For recording, I thought the video quality was acceptable, but certainly nothing to write home about. I also experienced some sync problems where the audio was not in sync with the video. My system did not meet the CPU requirement for 720p HD recording, so that may have been the culprit. I think an Intel Dual Core 3.0 GHz CPU is a hefty requirement for a webcam. The software effects were pretty useless and caused my system to display low resource warnings whenever I used them. By the way, I have an Intel Core 2 Duo running at 2.53 GHz with 4GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT graphics card. Still photos at 4MP were okay but my Android smartphone takes better photos, by far.MOUNT & MICMicrosoft designers seem to be in love with bendable hardware. Their Arc Touch Mouse has a bendable section of the mouse and the HD-3000 uses a bendable mount that works pretty well. It fit over my 24' Samsung LCD monitor and my laptop lid just fine. The rubbery surface kept it from sliding around too much and can be folded to allow the webcam to sit on a flat surface.The mic on the HD-3000 worked well in my tests. Background noise was audible, but my voice could be heard over the background noise without difficulty.MISCELLANEOUSWhile the HD-3000 swivels from left to right, it does not swivel up and down. The blue LED light turns on during webcam use and is bright and distracting. I also wish webcams would come with lens covers. I think I once had a Kodak webcam that had a lens cover and I feel that all webcams should come with one. Have you read about that tech support guy who installed some nefarious software on women's computers that allowed him to turn their webcams on remotely? Or the IT guy of a school district that spied on kids? Yes, I am paranoid and I would like the option to cover the lens. Lastly, I wish Microsoft would get rid of that Windows Live Call button. While adjusting the webcam, I kept pressing it accidentally. Each time, a popup message would appear asking me if I wanted to install Windows Live Messenger 8.1.CONCLUSIONThe Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 is an okay value but it hasn't been improved a great deal from the old VX-3000, which is about four years old. I expected more in four years. Unless you absolutely need the ability to record 720p videos with your webcam, or take 4MP stills, I recommend saving a few bucks and going with the Microsoft LifeCam VX-5000. You might even consider spending a few *more* dollars to give the Logitech C310 a look.

I will be honest and tend to be cheap when it comes to webcams and headsets. I never really treat myself to anything more then something very basic. I own the very low end LifeCam and I wasn't impressed but overall you tend to get a good deal with Microsoft hardware.They keep releasing more hardware that doesn't sell well. So it gets deeply discounted and you make out because of this. This causes Microsoft to improve the hardware and then release it once again. Where it fails once again and gets deeply discounted. They have been following this trend for years. This is especially true with the LifeCam's which are better then the Logitech's I have used. The frame rate is good, the light isn't washed out, and although I don't recommend it the built in microphone works well in a pinch.So take advantage of Microsoft's low sales and grab one of the higher end LifeCam's like the 3000. For normal video conferencing duties you won't be disappointed. Well you may be but I wasn't.

I got this for my desktop that doesn't have a camera because I needed to use Skype at home. The camera is small and easily fits on top of my monitor. The attachment is loose so it doesn't damage the top of the monitor and it will fit a pretty deep unit. The lead is long enough to reach from top of a big monitor to the back of case and the cable is pretty light which prevents lead drag.On connection windows (I use windows 7) downloads the software for you and it includes a decent range of functions useful and silly. (I do like the pink hair and dark glasses option!) Setup is very easy and Skype instantly recognized the camera and asked me to set it up which was also very easy and intuitive. (there is also a zoom function in Skype). It is in focus from about 6 inches to infinity so autofocus is not necessary.Quality is good enough, the unit copes with low light well and can run in 720 HD mode but it seems to perform better at 800x600 mode. The video in either case is stutter free on record and the microphone is actually quite good. Although there is little in the way of noise suppression, Skype seem to do that because the sound quality on testing was better than on just record and playback mode.Sound volume is good. I sit about 4ft from the screen and the volume and quality is still excellent.

This webcam is easy to install and works great with Skype. You can mount it on your monitor or set it on your desktop. It does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it works great! I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this webcam a few days ago, based on the strength of its positive reviews. Not sure if I got a defective example or if the thing is actually THIS bad.It WON'T white-balance! If I move -even slightly- while I'm on camera, the image washes completely out, and I become a faint outline on a screen that is totally blown out.I'm sitting about 2 feet away from the camera. It is in my cubicle at the office, with plenty of overhead flourescent lighting (no significant light source behind me, however). These are far from "challenging" light conditons for a webcam.The camera is percariously balanced atop the frame of my 17" LCD monitor. It sits just above my eye-level, and is angled downward slightly. I have some tape on the base of the unit, to ensure that it doesn't fall (yeah, tape! it looks real "classy")...When the image washes out, I have to hold a piece of white paper over the lens for several seconds - that's all I've been able to figure out, in order to get it to "reset" itself. Then, it is okay until I move - at which point it immediately washes out again. Total crap! This thing is getting returned!Regardless of whether I got a defective one, this design is very poor. There is no way to clip it to the upper corner of a flat panel monitor - unless the border/frame around your screen is about 3 inches wide (otherwise, when you open the bracket on this thing, the camera and bracket hang down over the viewable part of your screen and blocks a portion of it). Overall, a bad design and poor quality (or maybe poor quality CONTROL - I can't believe that the white-balance problem I'm having is "normal"). Either way, I'd say spend your money on a different brand. I'm going to try one from Logitech next.

I ordered this cam for family use to communicate via Skype. The picture was so clear compaired to the cam built in my laptop that Iordered two more for family members via drop shippment. One was delivered in short time but, the other has yet to arrive. I contacted the supplier via Amazon and they immediately shipped another and said they were sorry for the trouble. Amazon are good people to deal with. Well pleased with results and web cam is just what I needed. Price is very good too.

I just recently started using Skype and it struck me immediately that I was really enjoying the experience of being able to see my cousin and even her house on my screen. She, on the other hand, seemed slightly uncomfortable looking down at her feet or out the window, obviously bored of staring at my static profile picture. Clearly I needed to get a webcam, and so the search began.I finally chose this Microsoft LifeCam based on the picture and sound quality evident on some of the YouTube videos that people have kindly posted. This camera seems to handle low-light conditions really well and the quality of both picture and sound is great (it has a built-in microphone). The wide-screen picture format is handy if you decide to use it to shoot video and it offers HD resolution. The software worked instantly on my oldish pc running Vista and it interacts flawlessly with Skype.The clip can be moulded into a range of shapes; at first I shaped it like a little stand but my cats soon showed me the error of my ways and I found that it sits perfectly well on the top of my LG monitor, despite the fact that the screen has a curved shape. There are many webcams available at many times the cost of this one, but for me it makes no sense to spend more when you can get this quality at a very low price. Really happy with it.

I am using this as a webcam for streaming live video.Does not support 720p HD as advertised. The maximum resolution is 640x480 and it has trouble handling that on demand.Software is popping up resource limit messages when in use. No software comes with it other than drivers that are downloaded from MS when it's initially plugged in.I thought with Microsoft's name it would be good. Don't waste your money if your expecting good performance.

Good plug-and-play driverless camera, works under Win7 x64. Image quality and resolution is pretty good, mic is good too. It also has the indicator showing whether or not camera (or microphone) is currently in use by OS/software, which is also a big plus. Although it would be nice to have two separate in-use indicators, Paranoid Parrot inside me can relax a little :)
