the system works fine except it was ordered brand new and one of the speakers doesnt work. i called logitech its an awful company. they hung up on me multiple times and refused to give me a new speaker after i proved my purchase. they are low lifes who will do anything to save a few bucks. i wouldnt buy these speakers because now i see logitech is a mess and annoying to deal with. get it from a better company.

I bought these speakers a while ago and so far im just unimpressed. the sound quality is below par for any speaker system. the only reason it got 2 stars instead of one is the subwoofer is OK. Im bummed. I guess you cant win them all, I probably am not going to buy logitech for a while....

I received the Logitech Surround Sound Z506 system last Tuesday and installed it on Wednesday. It was easy to set up on my work PC. The wires provided more than adequate length and the inputs are coded with friendly colors to make sure everything goes in the right spot. The system worked well, and provided quality surround sound (not the best I've ever heard, but still fairly good). The only downside I would have mentioned is that there are no mounting holes on any of the speakers. They worked well for three todays. When I came into work this morning (Monday), the sound had rapidly deteriorated. Now the speakers primarily produce static and popping. I double checked all the connections and even restarted the computer- I can't think of any possible reason for this failure other than the speakers simply being bad.UPDATE:I've since tested the speakers on two other computers. One produced the same results. On the third computer the speakers worked fine. As a tech guy, I really have no idea why the speakers worked fine on my computer, then stopped, and ultimately only work on 1/3 test computers. But for the record, they do appear to occasionally work.

the speakers didn't work on my tv even though it says in the description and box it works on tv. When I ask the seller he said the speakers were mainly made for copmuters !!!so saaaaaaaaaaaaad and I don't use them.

The speakers are very good quality, with good quality sound. the small sub easily shakes my entire room. the only problem, is there are no ways to mount the speakers to a wall. with a few cord extensions though, they are easily worth the money paid.

I got these speakers and was super excited. Got it all unpacked and...nothing. Downloaded the Realtek driver I needed and did the sound test and the 4 little speakers worked but the middle and the woofer did not. Did some adjustments and the woofer didn't work. Hooked up the woofer with RCA jacks to the tv and nothing. Crap right out of the box. The reviews on this set of so called speakers was hit or miss. In my case it was a big miss. The only upside was the return was easy even if the speakers were a load of crap. Waiting on my no name Cyber Acoustic 6 piece set. May be better. If not, Walmart, here I come.

The products claims for work for Mac but only in stereo, not 5.1 surround. In order to get 5.1 on a Mac you'd need a sound card that uses 3 mini-plug system and at this time there isn't one available that works for Mac.The speakers sound amazing for the price. There is a slight buzz when sound is not coming out of them. I read this in some other reviews as well. I called customer service and they weren't helpful or friendly. 3 stars for the 3 speakers that actually work - left,right,sub.I'd probably recommend this to Windows users.

Well, these speakers are ok if you keep the volume at half or less. The subwoofer is easily overdriven. The front speakers don't produce high quality sound. The rear speakers don't produce much at all, even with the test sounds. I've tweaked this product quite a bit to get passable sound out of it & it still falls short of my expectations. The speaker boxes look & feel like cheap plastic. Poor design, sub par performance. These will be in a yard sale as soon as I get some extra cash to buy a better set of speakers.

for the price i got this for was absolutely amazing! i thought it would be a cheapy or something, but 2 sub woofers and 5 speakers its bad a**! i plugged these bad boys into my 50" flat screen and when i use netflix i turn these up and turn out the light and i feel like im in a movie theater..really nice sound quality, hooking isn't hard just time consuming. and the only other thing is theirs no remote but a dial, but still really good for the money i think

The power of the bass feels great and the quality that's pumped out is also fantastic. Way better than my previous Altec speakers that I used. However, I had to velcro the speakers down since they were so light that you could blow on them and they would fall over. Secondly, I'm unable to hook up anything to the RCA at the same time as the 3.5mm audio jacks without getting some buzzing noises happening out of the speakers. I had to connect the speaker system to a mixer I just so happen to own and the RCA input from another device and the audio then came out just fine.

Love it but just wish the tweeters had longer wiresThe speakers must be almost close to each other which takes away from the surround affect(sounds comming from different areas of your home)But overall with my studio apt the sound is just enoughFor the priceIts good

im a huge supporter of logitech keyboards, mice and speaker systems. been buying them for years with satisfaction. i highly recommend this speaker system to anyone and everyone. i love it. directions suck but not really needed all connections are color coded only took a few minutes to connect to my computer. great sound. once i connected everything i restarted my computer and they work awesome.

Pro: Easy setupPro: Clear Sound Even at High levelsPro: Powerful and adjustable bassCon: No remote or even remote receiver for universal remoteI got this to use with my TV, which I do not recommend. The problem is that it can not be used with a remote control. Televisions unlike computers don't adjust the level of volume output with their own volume. Televisions are designed to output at one level to a receiver that will adjust the volume itself. These speakers only volume control knob is on the front right speaker.If I thought this was only designed for computers when I got it I would give it a better rating because the sound is good, but the product page and the box itself show this being used with a large living room television. I would have even thought that this was a much better product if they had as least provided a infrared receiver without a remote. I really was hoping to control it with my Logitech Harmony 880 Advanced Universal Remote Control which is a Logitech product I do recommend.

All the time i had been looking for speakers for my ps3(gaming and music) and at first i was thinking of the logitech Z-5000, but since i was short on budget i diced to go for this ones, and it was worth it. This speakers have a really really good sound quality and are easy to set up and use. This speaker have a good level of volume (believe me is enough for games and music) and they can get pretty loud. Another thing is the look and the material which they are made of, which make them look pretty durable.I would recommend this speaker who doesnt want to expend a fortune in expensive speakers, you will be satisfied.

I bought these speakers because I was looking for the best 5.1 sound system for my PC. There is a constant low buzzing sound that comes from the center and rear speakers which a lot of other people been having the same problem. It is so low that if there is no sound you will hear it, otherwise you don't notice it. Even when the computer is off you still hear the sound. I heard of plugging the sound system into a different outlet will solve it, but I am limited on a power source where I am at.So if you don't mind the slight buzzing sound this is a great deal!

I have no problem so far with these speakers. It was an easy plug and play with my laptop. I was able to make it work with my ps3 too!I have cranked these pretty high, and I have not had any problems. I would recommend these to someone who was wanting an upgrade from the normal tv speakers. Not Bose, but you will enjoy having better quality sound!

These are decent speakers, Well worth the money. They aren't as easy to set up as I would have hoped since the wires do not come out of the speakers. you have to work around that. Also they cannot be put on the wall.3 Pros- Sound quality is pretty good, and very good for the price.- Very nice amount of bass for the size of the system.- A excellent sound system for the price.3 Cons- No wall mount-ability- Cannot detach the speaker wires.- No separate remote

Great set of inexpensive speakers plenty of volume for a room, great bass too. The analog wiring is nice i like it when things are kept simple makes it easy to fix if something went wrong or easy to add on to, nothing has gone wrong though. the only downside was no wall mounts.... no wall mounts

These are very decent speakers even if there are a lot of wires... I wish the two rear speakers could have been wireless. Sound is decent... if you can get all of them to work, most applications use a 2.1 system when using audio on a computer.. so sound is lacking in 3 of the 5 speakers unless you connect them through a splitter to one jack... but that just makes a louder 2.1 system. Usually this splitter is contained in the package... but not in this one.

I'm using these as PC speakers and they are working great with EVE-Online, Fallout3, and Guild Wars. My personal desk setup allows me to place the speakers around me just fine. Very happy with the quality and I'd recommend them for home PC use.Note that I wouldn't feel the same about using these as a living room home theater setup. For that I'd look to get a "real" home theater set - not these.

If you are using a stereo connection only (green cable only) then I would say to avoid these speakers. If you have a real 5.1 surround sound card in your PC (green, black, and orange cables) then the set sounds much better. Still has distortion at high volume and sub isn't great but for $79 it's probably about as good as you are going to get. Everything was easy to setup and I never had to look at any directions.

It has a ver impressive sound to be a cheap product you can really feel the bass and the surround effect. It is not that powerful for big places but for home it is just amazing

I just bought this during the Black Friday sale and thought since they are top reviewed that they would be decent. Well it turns out they died in about 2-3 weeks of minimal use. Everything is plugged in and tightly secured yet i can't get the power button to work. Died halfway in my game. I decided to just refund my money and pay more for something that will last then to pay less and have them stop working.There is no PRO at all to these speakers!
