I ordered these speakers for Dependable Resources,which by the way i advice you stay away from. The speakers sounded great, not the best sound quality ive hear but enough to satisfy me. Only problem is that one speaker came defective and they refused to do anything about it, in fact, they blamed amazon. But thanks to amazons great customer service, everything is being handled.STAY AWAY FROM ABOVE MENTIONED SELLER.

These are the best speakers I could find at this price. Been using them now for a month and the quality is great. No problems with them. Just wish more computer games took advantage of surround sound.

This is a great 5.1 system for the price. The only issue I have is the sub-woofer could have more punch.One reviewer panned the speakers because the speaker wire is attached to the back of the speaker. To me, that is a plus. With this configuration, there is no way the speaker wires can come unplugged. The speaker wires in my Yamaha 5.1 system come unplugged VERY easily.Some reviewers state that the speaker wires are too short. Well, this IS a computer speaker system and you CAN get RCA extension cables if you want them.I also have a $300 Yamaha 5.1 speaker system for my DVDs/home theater. The Yamaha system is NOT three times better than this system, by far.The installation instructions could certainly be improved. But, overall, I am VERY satisfied with this system.

Let me just say this: These speakers are amazing. They may look small, but let me tell you, they pack a punch. I hooked them up to my PS3, and Battlefield 3 never sounded better. I tested them out to see how loud they could go, and I almost went deaf. At full volume, they could be heard (and felt) in the basement, which is 2 floors below where they are. They fill a bedroom wonderfully, and I assume they would fit a family room too. The subwoofer is outstanding. If you are looking for great surround sound speakers, get these.

Well they are o.k. I go back and fourth between headphones. I have used them on TV's before but I don't use the rear speakers.. I can't due to my setup. When they play music at a low volume, the sound is very static-y.I am on a stock sound card so I don't know if that would help or not. I am only using the green 2.0 jack. The bass, is OKAY... Definitely not the best. If you are into sound and just starting out, don't go with logitech unless you are going for a 25-30$ setup or a 200$+. If you want better quality, might wanna go for Harman/Kardon, Cyber Acoustics, JBL, etc. Just go for brands that specialize in sound. Logitech makes everything for computers basically.. In all, these speakers, I would have felt safer paying around 40-50$ for them. Instead they are 90$. There are better systems out there for that price range... TRUST ME. If you can't find a good speaker system then maybe your the type that likes/needs headphones.

I have long been a fan of Logitech products but after these speakers I will probably never buy a product from them again...- First set: Buzzing noise when nothing was playing, returned and exchanged at Bestbuy for a new set.- Second set: Buzzing noise when nothing was playing, contacted Logitech support and had a replacement set sent out.- Third set: Great for about 6 months, now the subwoofer loses about 70% volume for about 2 seconds every 10 seconds.For 80 dollars, they sound pretty good but the reliability just isn't there. My last set of Logitech speakers lasted me about 10 years and were basically this same model just older. Either I have been very unlucky or Logitech has really let their quality control go. Wish me luck on my 4th set, I just applied for another replacement!

I looked for a while for speakers that were around the same price for some time and couldnt find anything. They sound good with a little adjustment of bass on sub and tweaks with soundcard.The 2 bad things I got to say:1. No mounting at all. What I did to solve this is duct tape some cardboard to the back so it would sit flush with the wall. Then bought some industrial strength Velcro and they sit nicely on the wall. If you use black duct tape you wouldnt be able to see it.2. No optical in. Would be alot better sound wise and for cable management. For $90 shipped I cant really take a star off for that.Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend to my friends. Good starter pair. Was really just to get me by until I can afford something better.

Pros: These speakers were packaged very well. Their appearance is very sleek, the size of the satellites and length of cables is perfect for my setup.Cons: After a couple days I noticed that the bass control did not always respond, and would either go to max, or min. After a week the bass died completely.Also, the center speaker had low volume. No matter how much I tried went through forums, contacted tech support, looked through the FAQs, there was no solution to this problem. Using these speakers completely ruined my experience of all the games and movies I tried to enjoy during that time just because of the low volume center speaker.I was not going to pay $15-$20 to ship this heavy box back so I could get a replacement with working bass, but the still low volume speaker, as it appeared from forums that this was a characteristic of these speakers.DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP.

Great Product! I had Logitech's x-530's until the amplifier blew because i tried to use a VGA cable to extend the main speaker and its wire. I saw this product on amazon for cheaper than it is now and i bought it. It was here in a week and works fine now! In comparison, the bass is much more deeper and cleaner. The speakers contain tweeters for clearer highs and the center speaker has 2 mid-range speakers (although the previous model had 2 mid-ranges for each speaker but no tweeters). This model's subwoofer has the speaker facing the bottom unlike on the side for the older version. The main audio input now goes directly to the amplifier in the subwoofer unlike the x-530's method of taking the main input to the first speaker. There are many more options for inputs including RCA and using only 1-3.5mm (instead of 3) cable to playback music unlike the previous model. The cables are lengthier. Overall, the product is great and it has a great price (even still!) It still is super easy to setup! I highly recommend purchasing this product for any placement (computer, consoles, tv, etc)

The world of surround sound is growing. After having 5.1 for my DVD system, I wanted one for my PC/laptop. It is now possible to create 5.1 music on a computer and burn it to DVD, so now I can hear it and remix 'before' burning to DVD. VLC media player is the FREE choice for both audio & video 5.1. Anyways, I'm getting to the review now. This system is far ahead of the competition, so far. The controls are on the right front satellite speaker. After testing various wiring, I noticed that no sound came from my control speaker.... but after returning the 1st system, Amazon sent a replacement (within 4 days) which worked fine. Thank You for prompt service Amazon! The rear speakers come with a generous length of wire, but for those that need more distance, just get some double-female RCA adapters and you can go any length you wish.PROS: Good fidelity and great priceCONS: Both my laptop as well as my PC had trouble separating speakers correctly for some reason (Win7 64-bit) so live monitoring was awkward, but final mixes played as my programs stated for each speaker. Sound cards will have to catch up to this technology.

I have never bought a surround sound system before. First off, the price is amazing, considering you are getting a 5 piece system (front and rear), not only that, but the craftsmanship of the speakers are well made, they look nice. Now as far as the sound goes..they sound good, but not amazing, they get the job done, the bass is nice and the mids & highs are crisp. They are obviously going to sound better depending on the sound quality of the movie or music you are listening to, overall this is an above average product that i would rate 7/10.

Upgrading from Logitech S-220 speakers (which sounded amazing compared to laptop speakers - not hard to do), these speakers are a huge step up. They may be triple to quadruple the price (double during a deal) but they are worth it. The sub kicks (although sub control is...on sub) and the speakers all sound great to my non audiophile ears.Pro: RCA/PC audio inputsThick wires.Neutral:volume controls are on the right front speaker - great for a desk...not so much for elsewhereCon: short wires for rear speakerseverything plugs into the subsub control is on back of sub - hard to reach once set up.Caution: You'll need Front/headphone (green), center/sub (gold), and a black (front) audio port capability (or multi-function 3.5mm jacks) on your computer to use these speakers. Notable caution to laptop users.

This speaker is perfect for small room. Sound is very clear, no distortion.There are expensive Logitech speakers so for much better boom boom with effectyou can purchase them. I use this speaker with a Creative Sound Blaster 5:1sound card in my mac book pro.I purchased this one but not the expensive one because I'll buy a home theater for myother big room.

This is a very simple to configure, compact system that combines 4 satellites, a center channel and a subwoofer. It is bare-bones. It does not contain niceties of other, more expensve systems. No digital audio input on this system, no remote, no tone controls. But that's ok - given the low price.Everything is color coded. Setup is trivial. There are 3.5 mm inputs that correspond to the audio outputs of your computer for all discrete channels. All the necessary cables are provided, including cables for your sound card. It can also be used with stereo inputs, such as from a game system, and will generate a modest surround-like effect.It is crucial to understand that this is a system expressly designed for desktop computers, and perhaps for game systems. It is not a solution for a home theatre. The speakers do not have wall mounts. This presents a problem in how these speakers are to be placed. You have to figure out a solution that will at least put the rear channel speakers to your sides, if not behind. Here are the measurements for the cables in inches.78" right combo (for both volume and the right speaker)78" left100" center188" both rearsThese cables are permanently attached to the speakers. To get longer lengths you will need extension cables - and if a cable is ever damaged it will take surgery to fix it. All the electronics are contained in the subwoofer, so take that into account when considering your cable runs.The sound itself is good, if not stellar. It strongly favors midrange and low treble - but the satellites do a commendable job given their size. The sub-woofer has a small driver (I think it is about 5 - 6 inches). The temptation is to crank it up, but I found backing off just until the point where it does not stand out works the best, because while it does provide some low frequency output, it is not going to shake the room - and in the end - driving it louder just causes it to distort - and the bass is not terribly well-defined in any case. Some care should be take with the subwoofer's driver as it is not protected - the cone is exposed.There aren't a lot of choices in the price range for a 5.1 surround system. It works as advertised, but only if you want a small surround system for a desktop or for gaming. Logitech made a lot of concessions in design, but stripped out most of what is essential.

These speakers are a great buy for a computer room! The setup was easy on the speaker side as all cables are color coded to the plugs they go in. On the PC side I had a worrisome moment when I realized I didn't have an orange or black input on the back, but Realtek allows you to reassign the mic and line in jacks so everything has worked out fine. I bought them for my PC and must say that you do not want these if you are looking for a cheap surround sound in your living room. The rear speaker cables are around 8-10' long so you don't have enough length to put them in the corners like you would an entertainment system setup. Logitec claims you can use them with other tech, but you won't be happy doing so. On my PC they were a great step up from my 2.1 speaker system. I know its cliche to say, buy I fired up Black Ops and had to resist the urge to turn around a couple times when sounds came from behind me. They're plenty loud and the sound is better than expected for what I paid for them. Definite recommend for someone needing a great sounded 5.1 system for their PC without spending a ton of money.

Ok lets's start by saying this is my very first review here on Amazon. I wanted some speakers for my TV/computer room, (converted bedroom upstairs). These speakers fit the bill for what I wanted them for. They work as 5:1 speakers if you read the book and only use the green wire for computer laptop hookup. It delivers the sound to the speakers as it is supposed to and I haven't had any noise issues yet. They go relatively loud and remain pretty clear when mixed with the TV volume. The price was excellent considering I saw the same ones at the local PX for nearly double the price. The center speaker sits on top of my 50 inch TV perfectly. The rear speaker wires could be a little longer but that is asking a lot, I could just buy an extension cable. I bought a dual out Y cable to send one set of sound to the TV and one to the speakers. I do recommend these if you don't want to spend a bunch of money for just the computer room. I hope this helps someone in their decision making process. These always help me to make good decisions.

I purchased these speakers to go along with my PS3 and have been quite pleased with them. The only drawbacks are: 1. The length of the cord for the rear speakers is just a little bit too short even for a relatively small room and 2. The bass control is on the back of the subwoofer. Otherwise, the sound quality is very good for the price (obviously not as good as $500 speakers, but you get the idea). They were very easy to set up and are easy enough for my 4 year old to use. Perfect for a media room or for a video game system, probably not something you want in the living room or for your main TV/sound system.

Received this surround sound set as a Christmas gift. No owner's manual. No information provided for fixing faulty parts or acquiring the missing parts. Arrived well-packaged, but was missing the front left speaker, and the jacks in the back of the woofer for the rear speakers provide garbled static-y noise rather than the clear sound that comes from the front speakers. Plugged rear speakers in front jacks and sound was fine, so the problem is in the woofer, not the speakers. Also, wiring for rear speakers is no more than 8-10 feet long - not long enough to create a "surround sound" environment - just spreads the sound out across the front of the room, that is if we had rear speaker sound. The premise is great; the actuality is disappointing. Look elsewhere.

These speakers are currently set up as my temporary TV speakers until I get enough to save up for a fancy receiver, but wow does these little ones boom!The bass can be a bit overpowering if not set right on lower volumes, but at higher volumes, its more than enough for what you pay.I got these for $50 on deals.woot and am very pleased. If anything, I'll just set these up as my room's set, so overall, its a great buy if you're tight on cash and want something worth the money!

This was not the item I thought it was. I went to the speakers site and thought that surround sound speakers was what I was getting. it was not. Plus the TV is what I was ordering the speakers for. These speakers are not made for the TV but for a stereo system.

I purchased this unit with fairly low expectations. I know it is a 'cheap' set, but I was amazed at the sound. Anything above 1/3 volume on the woofer or the set volume and the 'woofer and left rear speaker have this "loose paper" sound, sort of raspy tinynes(sp). My 9 transistor radio sounds better. A total waste of $$.

O.K, it has been said before by other customer reviews... be careful because this speakers apparently are very picky about something inside your computer.. operating system, sound card, who knows!? The thing is that in many computers the sound quality is just pathetic because you hear a quiet, but constant, buzzing noise behind every sound you play.I just couldn't keep them so I sold them to a friend that did not have that problem. The funny thing is that my computer has a superior sound card (Creative Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED MB) than his, yet he did not have any problems with the noise with his motherboard integrated soundcard... I know, it's ridiculous, but sometimes you just don't get it. I've also read many other reviewers that report the same problem, so well, I am not the only unlucky man out there regarding this matter.I don't know how can they continue selling a product that OBVIOUSLY has a problem with many computer systems, and unless you can test them in your computer before buying them, I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.I continued with my 2.1 X-230.I have Windows XP Service Pack 3 and a Creative Audigy Advanced SoundBlaster Card.These speakers can't be mounted on a wall, making it less practical when trying to place them in your room.

I spent a lot of time researching what speakers I wanted to purchase. I wanted something under 100 dollars, and I thought I could only get a 2.1 system, but then I found these. I am impressed. I have never been a fan of logitech, but I have changed my mind. It was easy to set up, which I don't know how you could mess it up anyway, it is color coded. The first thing I did was crank the bass and volume up. WOW! The bass is deep and it is nice because it points to the floor, giving it more depth. The other speakers sound amazing. The "tweeters" are fake though, which disappointed me a little.I like more high-end and clarity than bass. These speakers, I feel, have a good balance of mid and high. I tested it with acoustic guitar songs, and I felt like I was in a concert because it was so clear. I have not tested them in true surround yet, but the matrix does a good job on stereo input. I have heard people complain that the rear speakers distort the music. I tested it with many songs and the reason for the distortion is because the quality of the music file, not the speakers. MP3 and MP4 are lossy codecs, meaning they remove things from the song that for most part you don't notice. The lower the bitrate the more things it takes out. I noticed on the lower bitrate songs, the rear speakers would distort on a cymbal crash or some other high pitch sound, meaning that the problem is in the MP3, not the speakers. My suggestion is to use a higher bitrate or use a lossless codec.I would buy these speakers even just to have a 2.1 system because the sound is amazing. The surround sound is just an added bonus. I watched a movie on them and it sounded great. I can't wait to use the true surround sound. I wish the speakers had some sort of mounting system though. I was kind of expecting it too since it is surround sound, but I found a way to make it work. I enjoy these speakers very much and would recommend them to my friends and family.

I have found this system to be of good quality. The setup was fairly hard for me due to the type of sound card hardware and software I have in my desktop but now it works and it sounds pretty good! I have had trouble hearing quite the "surround" effect from the rear speakers, while watching Blu-ray movies but maybe I have something setup wrong. I found that I have to switch my audio settings, in the sound card software, from 5.1 to quadrophonic to get a decent sound when playing music from iTunes. Also I was disappointed to find that none of the surround functions, relating to movies playing in iTunes, worked with this system but that's iTunes..... Another thing, you probably will have to do some tweaking with the subwoofer volume control. The bass seems to takeover if you don't manage it correctly, which could be to your advantage if you need shake the floor. It is plenty powerful! I definitely believe the price is right for a system of this quality. All taken into account, when it is all configured correctly it sounds great! You just might need some assistance with getting it setup.

I've been using these speakers for a couple of weeks now and they are awesome!! The sound they produce is more than enough to fill my bedroom and they look great doing it.Some things you should have in mind before buying it:-They cannot be mounted like regular speakers(unless you use a small shelve and put them on it)-If you are using this for your laptop or desktop, make sure you have a sound card that supports 5.1 sound because if you don't you will only hear sound coming from 3 speakers.-If you are using this for you TV make sure it also supports 5.1 !! My old LCD TV didn't and so I only get sound from 3 speakers.-If you want to hear music from either your laptop, or ipod, or the like, you will only hear STEREO sound coming from all the speakers and not different sounds in each. Mp3's do not support 5.1 sound.-These are great specially for games(even more if they support EAX) and movies(dvd, bluray)!!!!

I've had this system for about 4 months now and I'm very glad I bought it. I use this system with my computer and xbox 360 to provide an awesome surround sound experience at my desk. I've read many reviews complaining about the rear and center speakers not working and I too had this problem until I used a proper sound card that supported 5.1 surround sound (StarTech.com External USB 16BIT 7.1CH To Audio Adapter Sound Card). That being said, once I got the 5.1 to work, it was very impressive for the price. Another plus with this system is that it has the greatest range of inputs and outputs on the subwoofer as compared to other sytems in this price range.One final thing to consider: If you run any audio through the coaxial white and red cables to the system, you will not experience real 5.1 but rather "3D Surround Sound" unless you use an adapter to run the coaxial into a sound card that will convert the 2 channel audio to 5.1 audio (the product I mentioned above does this as long as the computer it is connected to is powered on).So overall, you can get this system to be VERY versatile for use with multiple things as long as you know what you're doing.It is a very good value and very impressive.

My wife and I got these surround sound speakers for our front room LCD TV 40", and they are great!! We live in an apartment so we didn't need something really loud, but like most flat screen's our's had crappy sound for such a nice HD picture, so these made a huge difference. We gave this set up 5 stars because it does just what we hoped it would do. It's easy to set up, it has a good clear sound with pretty strong adjustable bass. Now if you want a truly loud and big 5.1 surround for a large room then you'll need to spend much more, but if you just want to greatly improve your TV's sound (and DVD's/Blu-ray's) then this is an awesome set!

The value on these speakers, can not be beat. I paid 50.99$, total. 8.50$ per speaker....crazy. I only have on-board sound at the moment, but these speakers are solid; they look excellent, and sound very, very nice. Anything that I can find to gripe about, is immediately dismissed by the value.My father owns the X540 set; so I know how they sound. For me, the Z506 set, sound better, and my father and I have the same on-board sound (motherboards).The bass is rich and full, with adequate punch. The highs are crisp and clean. The mids are not too prominent or recessed, nor too bright or too dull.I have no hissing, popping, or crackling. After adjusting, the rear speakers are still a touch low in volume; this is due to on-board sound, not a speaker flaw.Granted, there is much, much, better out there. But, I am very, very, happy with this purchase.Update: I purchased a Xonar DX sound card, and as expected, the rear speakers have become much louder. I still could not be more please with this purchase.

It would have all been perfect if one speaker wasn't blown straight out of the box. Figured i could unplug it and still get the desired sound out of it, but it happened to be the speaker with the power switch and volume control... Sounds great otherwise.

I had some problems to install this home theater! It was a brand new product but the wares inside were connected incorrect! Fortunately I was able to figure it out and after that it works find. Something to think about quality control process.

I purchased Bose® Companion® 3 Series II for my son, but to our disappointment they were emitting audible white noise at all times (that is a design 'feature' in these speakers). I got Logitech Z506 speakers at Amazon for less than 1/2 the price, and we are very happy - no noise, sound is actually comparable to BOSE. I would highly recommend Logitech speakers for decent gaming setup.One negative was Amazon pricing - speakers dropped in price by $15 2 days after I bought them, and Amazon is not refunding the difference (any brick and mortar stores would honor the price adjustments within 30 days) - I'm not happy about that.

The sound quality is good but I was disappointed to find there was no remote. It did say it was for television but now every time the volume needs to be adjusted, it requires a trip acoss the living room to adjust it. Not very convenient. If it had said, "No=Remote," I would not have bought it.

i got this because i am a huge Logitech fan. but i have been let down by these speakers. i got them to hook up to my ps3 and the first few days they were grate and sound was perfect but then i was watching a movie and i started hearing background feed back and i was like what the hell is that and i thought it was my ps3 so i swaped out the speakers and tested it with another set and no feed back so i was like hmm wonder if its the speakers that is making the feed back so i unplugged the ps3's input and still had the feed back then i thought may be its one of the cables so i checked all of them and nothing was wrong so then i thought maybe it was the power source so i plugged it into another socket and it still happened. so after all that trouble shooting i contacted logitech to see if it was normal and they said no it is defective. and that i need to return them, unfortunately they were sold to me by a 3rd party and not amazon. so i am still waiting for a response from them. but if that dosn't work out for some reason logitech tech said that he would gladly do the exchange. so that is reassuring. ill update this review as soon as i get my replacement.

When I first unpacked this system, I was a bit worried it was too good to be true, and I think I misread the specs. Supposedly, this system's sub-woofer is suppose to be 10in' But its not, its average. 5in' I believe, BUT the actual casing is 10in itself. So maybe that's what they meant. Anyway, it puts out lots of bass. I had to dial it way down. The front speakers are really nice, they get LOUD. The highs are precise and not distorted. I'm not a big fan of tweeters in all honesty, cause most of the time, they make highs sound really thin and distorted even more. But the tweeters in this system are very well designed and wow can you really damage some ear drums if you turn the highs up enough. That's proof enough for me, to know these are the real thing. The mids' are clean, clear, not muddy or distorted, VERY hard to find that in 5.1 systems. And above all, they are nice space savers and also very light. I'm glad I bough these.

ordered these and hooked them up. Not impressed at all! sound quality and volume was lacking. Have since returned them and gotten a different brand that cost abit more. The difference was like night and day. Don't wast your time or $ buy the bit more expensive set.

This was a good system for the money. I bought it as a starter system at best buy. Set up was very quick and simple. Allow about a month for the sub to break in. The speakers have good range in them with little distortion. I mainly listen to rap music and at higher frequency levels this sub kicks! It was a little disappointing when i put on techno music because it seemed like the bass just fell apart. Everything is currently in my home theater (which is fairly small) but for the space it works great. Explosions are big and booming and voices sound like they are right next to you. Overall for a starter system is was pretty good, wouldn't buy again though.

First time with computer speakers, definitively good quality sound. My HDTV connected to my PC was not loud enough for me, I had to upgrade to get better sound. These speakers are good for the money, not the best but are very good at quality, the sub-woofer is amazing but I wish It wasn't under the amp, I had to lay it upside down for the sub-woofer to face front. I can't wait to upgrade my audio card for my pc to get the real surround sound from creative labs sound blaster gaming. I am a gamer and these speakers are great with battlefield 3 on PC. I recommend everyone to try them out.

We bought these speakers to work with our TV/PC set up, to replace our old Logitech speakers that gave out. These were TERRIBLE. I don't know if there are made only for use with desktop computers, but we were shocked at how tinny the sound was. There was a lot of static and disturbance in the center channel and the sound was just so bad. This is the model that replaced the model we had before which was great. So yeah, major step down in the quality of this product. Obviously made on the cheap. We sent them right back. I guess that's what you get for the price, but to me that seems like robbery. Not the best sound clarity I can understand, but down right unbearable at medium to low volume? This product is a joke.

One word - WOW! For a small system, this is incredible. I was skeptical at first, but once I received the box and hooked the speakers up (literally, anyone could do this - the instructions are that clear) I was amazed. Everything is color coded, the wires are long enough to actually follow the contours of the wall and nearly go to the other side of a 10x10 room (I had a couple RCA patch cables for the rear speakers to give it a little extra). The center sits perfectly atop my monitor. The sub doesn't take up too much real estate and pumps out amazing bass. The rear surrounds do what they are supposed to do, fill in the background. I bought this system for 50 bucks on special. I also had $35 in gift cards so putting down $15 for this was a no brainer. What you get, bang for the buck-wise, really can't be beat.

I bought these with high hopes, after I got my Blu-ray drive. Much as I love my Logitech mouse, keyboard, and headset, I can't recommend that anyone purchase this speaker set. It may be that I got a lemon. It may be that I was spoiled by my last few years with a set of Bose Companion 2s. It may be that the rear channels wouldn't play at more than whisper level. It may be that the tweeters produced a lot of muddled static and seemed to rattle a little. The bass levels were OK, so if you're looking for nothing but bass, and you plan to minimize _all_ of the high-end, these might be worth your money and effort. I, however, took mine to the local Salvation Army and plugged my Companion 2s back in, until I saved up enough to get a Companion 5 set(the praises of which I proclaim from mountaintops).If you're only looking for something functional, these may suffice. If you actually _enjoy_ sound, whether it's in music or movies, please please please, look elsewhere.

I paid $74.00, which included tax, and shipping for the surround sound speakers and let me tell you, they sound great. I use them to play Call of Duty WM2 and it sounds like a war going on in my living room.The only thing I do not like is the bass control is on the back of the sub-woofer. If you are, like me and keep your Sub-woofer under the desk. This means if you want to adjust the bass, you have to go under the desk to change it. To be clear, that is not a deal breaker for me because of the price I paid.I took one star off because of that.I used the Local Express delivery. I order it 4AM 1/11/2011 and I received it by 5PM 1/11/2010. I paid $9.99 for shipping. That is not bad for same day service. They called me when they were outside. That is something that UPS or USPS would never do.

I bought these speakers to be used with my netbook when I throw house parties. My idea was to connect my computer to a internet radio station and add a set of speakers with surround sound. I followed the instructions; I connected all the speakers to the sub-woofers and the sub to the netbook. The sound quality was great and the price was right. I tuned in to stations that played trance and hip-hop music. The speakers weren't so loud that they irritated others, and the quality was great. What made the effect more impressive was the sub-woofer which points the sound to the floor. I also added some lights that I got for $100 and that turned my livingroom into a small club. All along it sounded like i was inside a theater.I really didn't have any trouble connecting the speakers since it was just a matter of connecting a cable from the sub to the audio output of my netbook. If you just plan on using them for your computer, then you can't go wrong with this. Just connect them to the green outlet of the computer and you'll be set to go.

Due to odd audio compression as part of transmitted HD signals, foreground sounds were being drowned out by background music and other sounds, making it virtually impossible to hear dialogue over the built-in speakers of my HDTV. These speakers decompress the sound signal properly so all sounds are heard clearly and in their proper context. Dialogue is now easy to understand and background sounds stay in the background. Besides, the subwoofer is excellent! Highly recommend this product to solve the compression/decompression HD problem.

Pros: Great rich sound that fills a small-medium sized room extremely well. EASY set-up. Took less than 15 minutes. (make sure to select 5.1 on your computer after hooking up) Price! This thing sounds amazing for $80. I had a set of Klipsch speakers before and these things just blow it out of the water. GREAT for gaming or movies. The surround sound really has an amazing quality to it.Cons: Instructions were lacking a little since it was just picture diagrams but nonetheless was very easy to follow. That's it!Highly recommended!

I wood give them a - 5 Thar junk I put them on 3 different computers and I get feed back on all 3. the woofer kicks out all the time I have to unplug them and plug them back in to reset them. Thar hook't to a on bored computer sound card.
