I have my Z506 hooked up to my flat screen tv, first let me say that any speakers hooked up to a TV are better than the stock TV speakers. The z506 is perfect for TV and movies and more optimized than the standard 2 speaker/subwoofer PC systems from logitech.I previously had a 2 speaker/subwoofer PC system hooked up to my TV and it was an improvement, but the Z506 is the perfect upgrade. It spreads out the sounds and sound FX over 5 speakers. The sound is so clear, and very true. The subwoofer is also optimized for movies and tv. It provides nice bass tones that work into the total sound. No rattling no obnoxious over powering bass, so the speakers and the subwoofer work well together and one does not muffle or over power the other.If you don't want the woofer, it can be dialed down to zero, or dialed up to bass thumping action. Mid level to 40% is where I like to keep it. It provides a rich and powerful sound that won't wake the neighbors. (I live in an apartment complex).BEST OF ALL: if you play with your flat screen audio menu options, you can have the speakers controlled by your home controller. There is an option for Fixed or Variable sound. Choose fixed and this will sync your speakers with your TV speakers. You can then control the volume with your TV controller. Check your TV for this option. You can then have the speakers off on your TV and have all the sound going through the speakers, which are controlled now by your remote!I have my TV set up through the 2.1 stereo configuration, I needed a 3.5mm Stereo Female to RCA Male Y-Cable to do so. With the 3D technology advertised, I have clear rich sound coming out of every speaker. It's not technically surround sound (the rear speakers produce the same sound as the front speakers) but because the sound is produced over a range of 5 speakers, its clear, powerful, and theatrical. So I have all my speakers around my television facing the same way. If your TV does a 5.1 hook up then it will be even more realistic.I would recommend. For $85 you cannot find a better system especially with the Logitech name. This is awesome for an entertainment system, the perfect starter kit and more. Perfect for movies games and TV.

nice surround sound. i started out using the stereo rca input but only some of the speakers worked. so i had a stereo rca to 3.5mm cable so i used that to plug into the 3.5mm input. it sounded pretty clear . dont get me started on the subwoffer, it thought it was kinda of small at first but it put out so much bass. overall good product

Pros:-Excellent surround sound capability.-Crystal clear sound.-Excellent sound balancing between speakers.-Convenient connectivity through ports in sub-woofer.-Speakers are made with a durable material that prevents scratches and cracks while also retaining sound waves in a smooth flow out the front of the speaker.-Great and convenient for Xbox and PC game play-Excellent for Pandora Radio-Better than the Logitech Z313 2.1 DT Speakers (I tried them out and they were wayyy less convenient in connectivity and lacked superior sound quality).-The "overhead" speaker fits neatly over the monitor if so desired.-The sub-woofer base is far more excellent than I expected because the quality of the deep base it gives off is phenomenal.Cons:-I really wish these speakers could easily be wall mounted because now they are set up in positions within the room that disfigure the sound wave output. If they were placed on walls then the sound wave output could be better balanced and managed.-For being surround sound speakers these cords aren't very lengthy. I mean sure it's about 10ft but that's without taking into consideration the furniture they have to go around or hugging the wall to make sure nobody trips over them. If they were another 10ft they would be perfect.What I recommend them for:If you like absolute focus on your homework then these will do the trick by blocking out outside noises and honing in on your hearing senses.I like to listen to Pandora and do my homework, but living in a college house with three other guys makes this difficult. So I use these and turn up the volume enough so my housemates won't hear it but just so it blocks out all other noises.Gaming-if you want to have a full gaming experience, surround sound is the way to go and these speakers give you the surround sound experience without robbing the bank.-Overall these speakers are a phenomenal surround sound experience and are great for a variety of audio uses.-

This is the best speaker system that i have owned. The sound qualitie is great and the sub packs a big punch. i would recomend this product to anyone who is looking for a good surround sound for any purpos.

These speakers are awesome, they have great sound, the bass is amazing. Things I don't like are that there is almost no sound coming from the back speakers, and just in my personal opinion I think the satellite speakers need to have better highs. Other than those 2 little things I think that these speakers are great and would recommend to anyone!

Alright so here's my take on the Logitech z506 speakers.Let's start with the pros:*These are pretty good quality audio for the price range.*Lots of inputs, with your standard L/R for component cables, 3.5mm mp3/auxiliary input, and a 2 channel input for some computer sound cards.*Relatively crisp treble.Cons:*Strange shape; the speakers could easily be lightly bumped and fall over off of a desk.*Bass on the subwoofer is a little muddy, even though it's pretty room-filling for a small room.*Short rear left and right speaker cables.. If you want surround sound in your living room you'll most likely have to get extensions.*This system is a mess of wires.. Not really an awful thing, just a note.*They really lack in the mid department; they're pretty treble heavy on all five of the satellite speakers.*My subwoofer stopped working. About fifteen minutes after I installed the system, all of the bass randomly cut off and I was a little worried. Well, I wiggled around some wires and it kicked back on. After maybe a week of pretty moderate use, the sub stopped working again. This time nothing fixed it; it stayed off no matter what outlet it was plugged in, no matter what input was used.. Nothing. So, because I found many reviews citing their durability and multiple defects, I just returned them to Best Buy.Did I replace them with a new set? No. I decided to go with a safe bet and get some Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers. Not the best for someone who wants surround sound, but they totally knock the Logitech speakers out of the water when it comes to build and sound quality. In my honest opinion, being the audiophile that I am, I think that pitching in a few extra bucks was totally worth the investment.

I learned a lesson by buying this and wanted to share my brief review in case any of you are also naive. For some reason, I expected more than what I got. It's important to note that in the price range, you really shouldn't expect that much. So if you are looking for a basic computer surround sound setup, that works adequately in gaming and perhaps movies, then this should work. My mistake was that I expected something that would play music way better than this. I knew I made a mistake when I received the package and wondered if they shipped the woofer in a second package. There was no way all the speakers could fit in this box with the sub. So I discovered while unpacking that the sub is there and it is tiny. I knew I was in for disappointment but I figured I would setup and see. Afterall, size isn't everything, right? In this case I think it is as this sub is weak. I suppose I shouldn't call it a sub as it can't hit those frequencies. This is the worst sounding speaker that I've ever heard referred to as a 'woofer'. It's a 4" speaker in an enclosure not much bigger than a kleenex box. You just aren't going to get much out of a setup like that. I spent a lot of time tweaking my soundcard settings to get it to sound ok for games. But it's quite depressing to listen to music and how it fails at reproducing anything remotely close to how it should sound. It's my fault for not researching it better. So I'm not going to rate it super low. But be aware of what you are buying. The speakers look good, I think the center channel is ok. The other speakers are kinda weak and average at best. The connection options are basic and easy to install. Overall, I can't recommend the product if you want to listen to music and if you like real bass. I guess I could recommend it if you only want 5.1 for gaming and occasional movie watching.

The sound is awesome! The set up was easy. I only wish it had a remote and wish you had the options of hooking it up to more than one device at a time. It's hooked up to our cable but we would have to unhook it in order to use it with our gaming device which is also how we watch movies :(

compared to bose it is the next best but bose is more expensive. it has great bass and makes shows and movies feel more lively. the only negative thing i could say about this is that you have to adjust the volume by the knob and not a remote so it is not a product for overly lazy people

These really are a beginning class 5.1 speaker set and I almost regret buying them. They work in 5.1 just fine, but really, the mid-level trebles are lacking and there really isn't enough oomph to these. Logitech makes great products, but I go elsewhere for speakers.First, out of the box, they weren't easy to set up with my Win 7 machine. The sound card wanted to one thing and Logitech another. Sure the cabling was easy (and the back speakers have plenty of wire for my needs), but it took me awhile to get the back speakers to pump out music. Second, a fuse blew in the speakers the second day I owned them and they wouldn't turn on at all. Yes, this happens from time to time, so I wasn't too upset. However, Logitech's tech team clearly has some communication issues.I immediately called tech support and they were friendly, courteous, and we ran through the usual trouble shooting. Still, they didn't work. So, tech guy 1 agreed they were bad and Logitech would replace the set. Cool. They asked me to email proof of purchase (which I did and they acknowledged receipt of) then sent me a UPS label to mail the bad ones to them. Since I had just thrown out the packing material, tech guy 1 told me not to worry, I could use the new material when new speakers arrive. Cool.So, fast forward a little over a week. No speakers yet, and no email with a tracking number or anything. So, I call back. Tech guy 2--also very courteous--looks up my issue and explains that the speakers weren't sent yet because Logitech hadn't yet received my bad speakers. I explained to him that I was explicitly told to use that packing material to ship, so, obviously, I hadn't sent them yet. He needed to follow up with a supervisor and promised a call back...A week later (Christmas and New Year happened during this time so I waited longer than usual to call back) no return call, no speakers, no tracking number, nothing. I'm getting really annoyed using cheap headphones to listen to training videos... I call back. Tech guy 3--also very courteous, very sympathetic... I explained my situation, he placed me on hold for a few minutes. Then explained their policy about shipping after they receive the bad items--which I totally understand--but, since there was obviously mis-communication, he promised to ship them out 2 day service. Naturally, this was the Thursday before New Year and they arrived last Tuesday. I finally got the working speakers (which really aren't that great to begin with) nearly a month after I originally bought them!The kicker: I actually paid extra on Amazon to expedite the original shipment! Sure my situation is a one off, but I'm dis-appointed that Logitech doesn't have a better system for handing these issues.

They worked for 3 months. Now the cords in the back are malfunctioning. You cant hear from the left speaker unless you play with the wire in the back. Worst pair of speakers I bought. I owned the older model pair they lasted me for 2 years. These were defective. Not ordering from them again until quality control is better.

When I first got these speakers I was thrilled about them having just the right setup. The controls on the right speaker are simple - power button, easy to grasp volume knob, and a headphone jack that cuts off the speakers when you plug into it. The connections are straightforward with 3x 1/8" stereo jacks: front, rear, sub+center. It works perfectly with a little TOSLink 5.1 decoder I picked up.The shape of the speakers is such that you'll probably want a flat surface to set them on. However, the center bump in the tweeter (is it a tweeter or just a cosmetic hole?) is actually a cavity all the way from the the back that worked really well to hang it in the corner of the room on a 3" finishing nail. The subwoofer pumps out decent bass from its downward-facing open cone.Now that I'm over the thrill of finally having 5.1 speakers for movies, my overall impression is that of disappointment in the sound quality. When there's no audio there's a persistent static. It's quiet, but if you're sitting in the room after the music ends it does get annoying after a while. That static comes through when playing music too, making it just sound "fuzzy". Playing TV shows or action movies isn't too bad since it's the sound covers up the noise. In any case, I'll probably go back to my old 2.1 speakers since I use them mostly for stereo music, and I'd rather have the nice sound than the ability to hear it in surround.[Note to doubters: yes, I did hook it up directly to various analog sources, eliminating a potentially noisy D/A in the 5.1 decoder as a culprit for the noise]

Before I write my review I want to admit that I'm not that fluent in home theater systems. The descriptions on these systems are often vague and only talk about the sound. Most of the reviews are about the bass, which doesn't help either. I was looking for a cheap system to hook my Xbox360 Slim and LG TV to. This one claimed it could do it easily as opposed to others that said they were primarily for computers. The system shipped fast, Prime, and looked great. it was easy to hook up and set up. The problem came when I was going to hook it up to my TV. There is only one input for RCA and then 3 3.5mm jacks for computers. My TV only has Fiber Optical out, no RCA. I could hook up the Xbox, but either way I'm only getting stereo. I guess I sound dumb saying this, but I thought this had adapters to at least simulate surround from RCA. Or, that it had jacks for other inputs. In order to adapt my optical cable to 3.5mm I would need to spend another $60. So i gave up and I gave this to my parents. The sound is great and is real crisp. Long story short this is great for computers, but not for TV. Don't fall for the photos of people playing Xbox with this.

These look pretty darn good. I plugged it to my desktop with an inbuilt realtek 7.1 surround sound card.Installation was a breeze. When I tested it, it seemed to output audio to all the speakers.5.1 Dolby songs / audio was well rendered across all the speakers.However, most of my collection was 2.1 songs. So, when I played it on these speakers, only the front, center and the subwoofer went live.However, I could hardly hear any sound out of the rear speakers.After some tweaking I realized that there is a "Room Correction" under "control panel -> sound -> Properties -> enhancements".I set the rear speakers at a +10db gain and gained down the front and center speakers by -5 db. Now everything feels balanced and I get the feeling of hearing to 5.1 sound. Also remember turn on "Speaker fill" in the same dialog box to convert the 2 sound to fill across all the 5 speakers.Hope this helps !Also, I purchased Umbra Conceal Book shelf Umbra Conceal Floating Book Shelf, Small, White to mount the rear speakers

These were perhaps the worst set of speakers I ever bought. Only a couple of the worked and even those crackled and had tons of static. I sent them back as they were totally useless.

My new computer monitor didn't have internal speakers. So what else am I to do besides buy a 5.1 system for my desk? I looked around a bit online, then this system caught my eye. It was cheaper than most out there ($79.99 at the time, even lower as I write this), and had more than enough power for where I wanted to set it up. So I got it. I couldn't be happier with it.The quality of sound from this system is much better than I expected from an $80 system, whether the sound's pumping through all the speakers or the headphone jack. The bass control has a wide range to its controls (I usually leave it somewhere in the middle), and isn't too inconvenient for me to reach under my desk. The physical size of the speakers are small enough that they aren't too intrusive, but can also pack a good punch. I have heard no static or buzzing in the system, and I usually leave it on the entirety of the time I'm at my computer (which is quite a lot of time). The only time I get any sort of static is for about 1 second in the headphones when I turn it on from the initial powerup- afterwards everything is all clear.So this system is quite excellent if you're looking for a smaller 5.1 system, especially if you don't need another remote cluttering up your space. The 75 watts is more than enough to fill my dorm room (and most likely the hall as well), and still gets quiet enough to use while my roommate is asleep. I'm seriously considering buying a second one of these to use with my TV in the room, especially since the price has dropped a bit...

I was excited when it came in the mail, ran upstairs to plug it in. Setup wasn't bad, cords were good length for my small room. Only, one thing. IT DOESN'T WORK. The power light came on but no matter what I plugged the audio input into (laptop, mp3, TV, anything) there was nothing. No sound at all. It's a piece of junk. The aggravation it's caused me makes me not even want to return it. I might just take it out back and beat the hell out of it with a baseball bat to blow off the stress it's given me. Yep, never buying logitech again. This time I'll spend the extra money, at least I might have a chance of getting something that actually works.

This system is totally worth the price! Its great for people in smaller spaces that need the bang in there bass but require functionality for compact living. I purchased this item to replace an older Logitech system I was using, it fits great on my desk and what seems to be a set of tiny speakers, produce a large amount of power. They were even nice enough to ship the audio wires (they were ordered separately) that i needed for my set up along with it.

Is this product suppose to be new? i order this a few days ago and when i got it today i open it i was like what the hell, the box of the product looked used and ugly. then when i opened the product box, it wasnt even sealed and i opened it to see if everythings in there, the cardboard inside was all ripped and my speakers has like a black sharpie making on the stickers attached to the bottom of the speakers. well overall at least i got my product.

For $[...] bucks these speakers sound great, but I did have to figure out how to hook them up with no help from Logitech's directions. Since I bought these to use with a program that creates 5.1 surround music, I quickly noticed that simply plugging them into to the matching color recepticles on my new Windows 7 machine did not work. I got sound out of all the speaker but it was not 5.1 surround. When I began shifting the sound to different speakers it was clear that something wasn't right. I could isolate the rear speakers almost totally but nothing else. I tried every combination of jacks (my computer is capable of 7.1 and has several extra jacks) but had little success. Something was always missing!! I then started searching the control panel of my new Windows 7 machine for answers. I found that the first mistake I'd made was plugging all the jacks in at once and turning on the unit. They had to be assigned one by one..Here is how I set up the system on a Windows 7 Ultimate, Desktop Dell machine with 7.1 surround. First....Do not plug any of the jacks into the computer yet.Go to the control panel and open the Audio Manager. In the case of my Dell it was the Realtek HD Audio Manger. A picture of a living room with speakers appears. Plug the Orangish/Yellow jack from the Logitech into the matching recepticle on the Computer. A pop-up asks you which speakers you want to serve that jack. Click on Center/Subwoofer. Click on the picture of the center speaker and subwoofer. They should make a sound. Follow the same procedure for the GREEN Jack. Assign FRONT SPEAKERS out to that one. Lastly assign your BLACK to the REAR SPEAKERS. ALl of your speakers should now work independantly and sound great.HDTV..., several of you have asked about using these with TV's. The first question to ask is, what does your TV have in terms of audio output jacks? Increasingly TV's are cutting way back on the types of output jacks offered. You can run two types of input here, stereo mini like your ipod headphones (does your TV have a headphone OUT jack??)or RCA OUT(normal stereo jacks). Some TV's may only output to HDMI. There is no HDMI input jack here. If you have HDMI OUT it should carry your sound and picture to an AV tuner. Check out this system Yamaha YHT-395BL Complete 5.1-Channel Home Theater System for an idea of what is available. I do not own this system but it gives you an idea of the connections. I haven't looked to see if other "speaker only" sets offer HDMI input. I use these only with my computer.One work around for some of you might be if your cable box has RCA audio out. If you run your cable THROUGH your DVD player it should still have an RCA AUDIO OUT that you may be able to use. You can also use them just to play your DVD's if your player has RCA out, but mute the TV sound because your TV will process the sound slightly faster making it sound like there is an echo.

use them in my set up for my dorm room. These things can bump pretty loud for their size. Bass is pretty good but not overpowering if youre looking for dubstep like beats. Overall good speakers. Little $$ so do good research and look around before purchasing them. I had a gift card so $$ was not an issue for me, therefore if youre on a tight budget made sure you look at all your options

These are not expensive speakers, and as such I didn't expect much out of them performance-wise. However, I use them for movies, music, and online gaming (Star Wars: The Old Republic) and I have zero complaints. The surround sound functions very well, and the sound is very clear. I run these at half volume on the speaker dial with my computer volume set to 25% or less and they are quite loud. Very good value.

I really enjoy my music of all styles and these speakers for the price and size were very worth it! I've competed in stereo competitions with my truck sterio and got very accustomed to listening to quality sound and these did the job with the help of the 5.1 sound blaster. Not made for load sound, but very good for computer and laptop stuff.

Got these speakers for my birthday, as my new tv is not very loud. These speakers are amazing! The price was awesome, and it is full surround sound. Different things come from different speakers, and the subwoofer is boomin!! I'm really impressed with them as a whole. People are complaining about cord lengths? I have 2 of my speakers literally 15 feet away on the other side of my room. None of the speakers are within 6 feet of the subwoofer plugin and they all have plenty of cord length. The plug ins for each speaker is color coded on the cords and back of the subwoofer. Incredibly easy to setup. I'm an electronics idiot and it took me 5 minutes to set them up and have them going. They play music great too! I plugged them directly into the 3.5mm headphone jack on my TV, Ipod touch, and laptop and they sound perfect! People also complain about them making a slight buzzing sound when the tv/music is off. One of the speakers has a knob for volume control and on that same speaker, there is an on/off button. You click it, the buzzing stops. I didn't notice a buzzing personally and I'm hypersensitive, so it's not an issue on mine. If it is on yours, turn them off after use! The subwoofer has control also, so you can turn the bass as high or low as you'd like. It fires down, so you feel it hard! The audio quality is great, the ease of setup is incredibly simple (even for complete electronics imbeciles like myself), cord lengths are very long. I'd say these are a must have. I'd recommend them to anyone, especially given the price. I paid $90 with shipping to SC. Great deal, great speaker set, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I was extremely excited about this product because I have had a 2.1 Logitech System for years now and it has been great. When I unpacked this and set it up I noticed that the sub-woofer emits constant noises, pops, and static whenever the right speaker is plugged in and turned on. This is not affected by the bass knob setting, or by the signal coming in. Even with no input this problem persists, and it happens during playback as well. This really detracts from the quality of the music or movie by adding distracting noises. I will be sending this set back and selecting another unit.

I was looking for a simple computer speaker set-up to get a bit better sound from my computer (Dell Zino) which is hooked up to my 46" Samsung Flat Screen.It's not fair to compair these speakers to high end 500-1000 speaker systems, so this review reflects my immpression of the system *within these tier of speakers*I was looking at small 2.1 systems for 25-40 bucks.I saw these z506 speakers at Best Buy for 99.00, but didn't want to spend that much on speakers knowing that in the coming year I'd be upgrading to a full Denon Audio receiver and 7.1 Home Theater system.But when I went on Amazon, this system was on sale for $58!. Wow, for 58 bucks this system is incredibly impressive! I've got them connected to a Creative Soundblaster xfi external sound card, and man the movies coming through this system sound completely different, I'm really happy with this system.Because I have it connected to a Creative Soundblaster, I have full control of each individual speaker. and the Subwoofer has to be dialed way back so I don't wake people up.*There is some slight buzzing/static when not producing sound, but I have found that if I keep the volume of the speakers below 50% and simply use the soundblaster volume control it eliminates this issue.These are great speakers with great sound (within this tier of speaker systems of course) and for this price, theres not much better value out there.

I received these speakers today and opening the box the sub woofer seemed pretty smalled but after plugging everything in and setting everything up. This tiny sub really kicks. Feels like a fan with all the air that pushes out of it. Thumps really hard and makes my little room vibrate. I really do like these speakers except for one thing..Description says 10inch driver. Its only 5 inches.Cant seem to get the center speaker working only when I plug it into a differnt spot for ex. the left speaker.besides that these speakers are really good for a small room and id recomend them

Replaced a 10 year old Altec 3 piece system which I was very happy with, but it gave up the ghost. This system appears to be of similar sound quality. I have it in my 10X12 office and it certainly fills the room with sound without overpowering any of the speakers. I have a Realtek HD Audio card that drives each of the speakers individually so I can adjust their volume to compensate for the where I sit in the room. I was happy with the price after setting the system up.I did have to replace the main system/woofer box. A day after I installed it I noticed a "POP" when I turned the volume knob past a spot about 10 o'clock on the dial. It "poped" going up or down in the volume, and it would be unstable if you set the dial at that location. I filled out the return form on Amazon and they sent me a whole new unit in 3 Days. I swapped out the speaker that has the volume knob on it first, thinking the dial was the issue, but it turned out to be a problem in the main/woofer unit. Sent the bad part back with the rest of the replacement parts. I was glad not to have to take all the speakers down, re-pack and send back, then re-do the whole install again. I appreciated the easy exchange of getting the replacement first, then shipping back the duplicate. It was less effort to remedy than if I bought it in a local store. Amazon has this figured out pretty well.

Well these speakers have a nice look to them and they are easy to set up for the most part. The only issue I had is when I set them up, at first the rear speakers and center speaker didn't work. I looked on Google and reviews on Amazon and it turns out a lot of people are having the same issue. I eventually solved it by opening my sound manager and checking the box that says "Speaker Fill." Now they work but they don't have the best quality, however the center, sub, and left and right speakers are great, they have a great volume range and a good amount of bass.

Unboxed it today. And with Sound Blaster sound card, z506 sounded great! it was awesome - nice and crispy with very clear mid and low. It had bass control and satellite volume control too. However, as i went onto test each satellite one by one, i discovered that the rear right wasn't working properly. So i plugged out rear right and plugged it back in. It worked for a second and then died. i mean, if it were rough handling that may have happened during delivery, all of the satellite speakers would fail to work. but the rear right on its own is being a jerk on me right now. I really don't understand because everything else is working and this is a brand new set of speakers just arrived home a few hours ago. Other then that flaw, I haven't encountered with any other problems, such as buzzing or anything of that sort. Also, it seems like the center speaker is a bit too loud for other satellites. I could almost only hear the front center speaker. So, unless you have a separate sound card or built-in one with complete control over each component of the speakers, you might look into getting a better speakers with full control.Anyway, very disappointed by the speaker failing to work. I would have given it four stars but im just too disappointed.

I was looking for good speakers for my dorm room at a reasonable price.A friend recommended this to me and they work great.Even at half volume, the speakers are loud enough to fill the room.

Bought this few months ago, so far works fine.I would say this is a decent product for the price.Sound quality is good.Would re command this, if looking for a mid-range speaker from a reputed brand.

I ordered this, as my old speakers weren't cutting it. I ordered it with a ASUS Xonar DG soundcard too.I feel that this is an underwhelming product. While I don't have tons of negative things to say, I don't have many positive either.Pro's.1. Price. It isn't very expensive.2. 5.1, while normally I didn't notice a huge difference, 5.1 was nice for gaming in certain games (mainly FPS).Con's.1. I have a buzzing issue when not playing music. Sometimes, when idle, these speakers make some buzzy noise. When they do, I just turn them off.2. Cables. While this would go with any 5.1 speaker, they have tons of wires. If I were you, I would go with a good 2.1 (Kipslich Pro Media 2.1 are a solid speaker choice.)3. Setup wasn't smooth. I spent a good hour trying to setup the surround sound.Overall I would not buy again. While they are much better than my old speakers, they are missing some things.

This product does not deliver AMAZING sound. I use this product in my workout room to provide some music while I workout. It does this well. One thing this product does deliver is LOUD. I was impressed with the volume you can get without distortion, and the bass is decent. I have a very nice stereo downstairs, so I may be biased, but this product does not have a clean range. It sounds like a decent car stereo.
