This little gem spits out enough volume without distortion for watching videos or listening to music. Perfect! I love the fact I don't have to find an outlet around my computer equipment, the usb is grand!

Bought these for my laptop. Usually I use a clip-on speaker set. If I had a docking station and was going to leave these speakers in place I would highly recommend them. However my laptop moves around with me and is sometimes used in the car on long trips. I set these up in my kitchen so I could catch some netflix while I was cleaning up. They were easy to set up. I liked the on board control. Conveniently located and easy to use. Often these small speaker sets have little or no volume control, or the botton is microscopic and hidden, but this set rates high in that catagory. The ability to control the cords so you don't have feet of cord hanging out is nice. It's just hollow where you can wrap the cord in the back of each speaker but it worked good and did the job. My biggest complaint is more about my computer, the earphone jack is in the front of the computer. In normal use this wouldn't make any difference but these speakers have to be plugged into that jack and when my laptop is on it's cooling stand, that front portion is covered up by the front lip on the stand. I just proped the laptop up a bit and it was fine. As far as the speakers go they seem to be a good little set, clunky for moving around but would be great in a permenent position. Good deal for the money.

I received these as a part of an iMac bundle. Normally, I'd have given them to someone at work without even opening the box, but they looked so nice that I wanted to see and hear them. They look very, very nice at the edges of my 21" iMac. The subtle contours on the speakers fit almost like a glove with the monitor.They will not raise the roof, but at a normal computer desk listening distance and volume, they sound very nice. In my opinion, they sound better than those in the iMac (that may be setting the bar pretty low, but at least they clear it). If you're looking for cheap speakers that look very nice by your iMac, these are the ones to have. If you're looking to raise the roof, look elsewhere.

These speakers also have a 1/8th inch jack that can be plugged into any device that allows for that type of jack and they get their power from any USB source. I have plugged them into my laptop and thought the sound was great and also plugged a small Archos device into it and was listening to my favorite songs and the radio with great clarity.(I also want to try to plug it into my big screen TV to see if I can get additional sound from it. Not sure if this is possible, but it might be and would help boost the sound a bit. I need to get an RCA-to-1/8th inch jack. I can get USB power from it, so one more piece of the puzzle left! Edit to add later: Yup, it works... got the RCA-to-1/8th cable for 2 bucks and now I'm listening to my Archos in the living room powered from the TV with the new speakers, sounds very good.)The speakers have really good sound for their size and price. Even some fair bass tones. I really like their slick-looking white design and it fits well with my decor. All in all, a good product from a reliable source, Logitech.

I like how compact and nice-looking the speakers are, as well as the fact they are powered by the USB port on my laptop. That said, I'm disappointed at how little sound they put out, even when the volume on my laptop, the software and the speakers are cranked all the way up. The same people who normally ask me to turn the sound down were asking me to turn it up and I couldn't, so I'm going to have to return these speakers. Like others have said, don't expect these speakers to fill the room with sound.

I bought this pair of speakers for my wife - she uses a laptop that she brings around to different parts of the house. I was surprised to find that the sound quality was good. We use these speakers to listen to internet radio and watch videos on Netflix/Amazon. Very pleased with the sound given the price.Extra Considerations: The speaker cones are totally exposed (like pictured), be careful if you have little ones, they may damage them.For background I am a very technically inclined person and a mild audio snob.

I got these for my laptop. I wasn't expecting much, but I was very impressed. The sound is almost perfect. Could there be more bass? Sure, but for the size it is plenty. If you have a laptop with dinky speakers, these Logitechs are a must. Even if you have a laptop where the speakers are okay (like in my case)these Logitechs will still be worth it.Now for the pros and cons...Pros:-Small-Portable-Very clear sound-Good bass-USB powered-Inexpensive-Simple-Looks goodCons:-Wires can be a little unruly, but not a big deal.-Wires are a little short, but not a big deal.

I was truly amazed at these speakers. The sound quality is excellent and the bass is incredible. They're perfect size, easy to hook up and the end result is great sound. I just bought these! After reviewing for a few days I saw how small and cute these speakers were. I said what the hell and got them, soooooooo happy I did! They fit in your hand, have a space in the back for the wires and are pretty loud. I listen to all types of music and they hold uo to metal, reggae, dub step etc...They do distort a little bit if too loud... but what speakers don't?Great buy! :)

The sound that came from the speakers was not much louder than the computer's speakers. I used it twice and it no longer works. Garbage!

These speakers look great and they have a solid sound quality. I was even surprised to hear a fairly good bass out of them. The previous speakers I had owned were a little less expensive and they definitely did not deliver any bass. These speakers are not super loud but they will give you a nice sound for lacking a sub.

These speakers a good little cheap set for the office. Came on time and exactly as ordered. What I like it that it doesnt require an external power supply. It uses the USB port to get it power.

I don't like to write bad reviews, but I have to this time. The speakers produce a piercing, high-pitched noise when attached to my MacBook Air, and they don't emit much sound at all with my MacBook Pro. The laptop's speakers are louder! Darn! They're going back. Very cute though.

So worth it, big step up in sound quality over my macbook pros built in sound. USB power source is really cool, took it out in the backyard today. Anyone who complains about the sound quality of these should look at the price and realize that they are a moron. You get a awesome little pair of speakers for less than 20 bucks!

These are perfect little speakers for small environments. These wont blow you away, but for what you pay they really pack a punch. Usb powered makes them convenient. Logitech makes another stellar product.They are heavier then they might look although with speakers that usually is a tip-off that they are good quality. Futuristic look is also a plus.I use mine at work to listen to music and radio when I'm in the office by myself and they work perfect.

I have several Logitech products that are great which is why I was so surprised to find these were junk. Ok Junk might be a little strong, but not the quality I expected. Out of the box, the right speaker did not work at first. As I was disconnecting them to toss them in the trash, the speaker started to work. If you kept the wires in just the right position they would work. Sound is not that great when they did work. I tossed these and will try another brand. I know, for the price, what should I expect.

The speakers are pretty, no doubt about it. Nice size. Good price. The reason why I give it 4 stars is because: (1) wires get in the way. One speaker has all the wires coming out of it, so if you were to wrap them around the back, there really isn't any room. Too many wires!!! The makers should have been distributed the wiring somehow between the two speakers. The other speakers has only one wire to wrapped around. Anyway, the wires are rubbery and sticky, and I guess if I were to buy speakers again, I'd go with a wireless set!Next, (2), when turned up to the maximum, there is a shuffle sound. You can't avoid it. The speakers are defiantly meant for a desk computer/laptop, with a medium range of sound. Finally, (3), the sound of the speakers give you a deep surround sound feel. The sound isn't bad, but it's not the best. I guess you get what you pay for!Good luck!

Recently, I had purchased an Acer Iconia A500 tablet before deploying to Afghanistan. While it sounded pretty ok I wanted something to fill the room with sound. These Logitech z120 speakers are awesome, especially for the price. I simply plugged them into the headphone port and the other side into the USB and turned them on. Without a doubt they are clear with good range and can be turned well up on the volume. I strongly recommend to anyone with an Acer Iconia A500 tablet or any tablet with both a USB and headphone port.

These speakers work very well. They have improved the quality of movies, music, games and other various sound tech content in my MacBook. Only inconvenience is that it requires one of the only two USB cable ports on my laptop, but most of the time, it is worth it.

These are one of two speakers that I had bought (the other being Logitech S120 2.0 Multimedia Speakers). They have good bass and treble, but are not shielded for some reason, I was a little surprised about that. Other than that they do have a 4 ft audio cable connected for laptops, tvs, ipods, etc.. These are much better sounding than the Logitech S120 2.0 Multimedia Speakers and those are shielded.

Wish it worked properly. If it was fully functional I would probably would have given it a higher rating for ease of use, looks, cord management (happy a company understands this frustration!) and the ability to use it without plugging it into a wall. Unfortunately the speaker with the power/volume control only came on for a second and then never made a sound again. I tried three separate computers, tried jiggling the plug and the wire to no avail. I may have just gotten the rare dud or...If one star is the lowest, I gave two because it really is a great design and if it worked it would solve two of my laptops problems (one laptop's speakers are out and the other has a REALLY low speaker volume by design). Bummer.

AS the good reviews pointed, these little speakers give plenty of sounds. I used up all my outlets and needed some power for speakers, this was the best solution.NOTES:** USB connection is only to power the speakers, not transmit sounds from the computer to them.** 3.5 cord connects to your computer to get sound.also, just so you know, they do sound good. If your looking to get loud loud music then you really need to spend more money. These speakers are just good for basic sound.

Impressive! That's what I had when I plugged it in and began playing music from my PC. The sound is well balanced without funny noise! I will update if anything comes up. I am giving four stars because the speakers are a little to light and can easily tipped over. I will buy it again if I need additional speakers.
