These speakers are flimsy! The sound quality is so horrible, and there's definitely not enough base, or even overall balance to the sound when I plug in my ipod touch (with retina display). I deeply regret purchasing this product, as I was assuming that my expectations would be met in terms of how my music sounds. I thought this could help me enjoy songs without using my headphones so much, but this was not the case. Additionally, there's something about the frequency and pitch that makes me feel queasy. I regret, regret, regret buying this, and I'm hoping to return this product after having it for...20 minutes. Lesson learned: I should've looked into quality sound systems, because I now think it's worth the extra price--and this is even more so, coming from a musician (so...DISCLAIMER: I'm probably more sensitive to sound quality and acoustics than the average person). Now I see how the sound system I use could just butcher the music I listen to. Yuck, just...yuck :(.

The logitech z120 speakers are a great choice for those without the need for amazing quality. I purchased these speakers because i wanted an upgrade from my terrible laptop speakers. They sound great and produce pretty good bass but one thing to note on the downside is that the speakers do not get up to a very satisfying volume level. There loud, don't get me wrong but I have had some issues of blurred sounds because of cranking them up to high. Other than that great speakers for the price and I would recommend them to anyone looking to a little upgrade from their old laptop speakers.

Good sound quality for the price. Be careful with using a outlet to USB adapter to power the speakers away from a computer. This caused noise in the music. Bass is good. I didn't anticipate, and it may seem strange, but the appearance of the speakers creeps me out sometimes. They look like a big eye staring at you. Like HAL or something. I wish they had a screen or cage in front of the cones.

The cords were precarious. It felt poorly designed. Didn't get loud at all. I threw them away within a few months, I think they broke or something. Save your money and buy something better.

It lasted for several months but these speakers were moving alot in my backback. Sound very low but it was in a data-center, in my office it sounded good enough.

I was hoping for speakers like Logitech z205 or z305. I needed speakers that are both powered by usb as well as the sound input through usb. My friend's computer sound card failed and still wanted to listen to music on her computer. Speakers powered by usb to hook up to an mp3 player to me is useless. Just listen to music on your computer. Logitech has produced some awesome products in the past, and then they discountinue them. The Audio Hub, and the Alto wireless keyboard are two such awesome products.

But these are pretty good little speakers. You have to keep in mind the sound output is limited by the amount of power it can draw over USB, so in a noisy environment these won't be the speakers for you. But if it's a quiet room or a main room in a low populated house, they do the job and sound pretty good too. If you keep the box, you've got a cheap carrying case too.

I always upgrade when buying a new PC .Better speed , more memory , upgraded graphics but the thing I never thought that was worth the price was better inboard speakers.Now for around 15 bucks I have upgraded speakers.The big deal with these speakers is that they are USB powered and this means as you move your laptop around your wireless environment you don't have to look for a plug.If you are traveling hotel rooms can be a treasure hunt to find outlets and if overseas it can be even more problematic .These speakers solve that problem.Your not going to rock the house with these speakers but you are going to get an amazing improvement over standard laptop speakers at very low cost.This is one purchase you don't have to think about as long as you are not looking for a thumping base sound and that takes plug in speakers.Very little space is taken up on your desk and they are travel ready.One of the best 15 dollar purchases I have ever made .Simply put ; Logitech does it again with great quality at a low price.UPDATE: I read another reviewer complain about the speakers not being shielded and causing interference with his Toshbia laptop.I am writing this review on a Toshbia laptop and I am very happy with these speakes , no iterference at all.

These are pretty good speakers. I got them because my laptop speakers aren't very good and I can't hear well when i watch shows. They work well. Are pretty loud and have good base. I use it in my bedroom with the fan on and I can hear perfectly fine. Depends how loud you really need it. The only problem I have with these is the cords. I mean three cords really??? Was that necessary? Having that keep them neat thing in the back does not work. The one speaker has three cords attached and the other has one... It doesn't make much sense and it can really clutter your desk. I haven't quite figured out how to make them neat especially since my audio jack is on the front (dell) and my usb on the side... so i have one cord in the front and one of the side which makes it awkward and pulls the cords. But they work well.

Speaker quality is good (I'm not a professional, so just looking for basic "sounds good to me" audio). I have other speakers that also deliver good quality and don't require a dedicated power source, so those rank better in my book..

Ordered these because of the great reviews. I am just a casual user. The sound is not that great and the cords are too much (cords may be the case with any speakers!). I am just not impressed at all. Volume is not very loud, sound is tinny. My laptop sound is better and I have purchased portable speakers for ipods and such before and these are not even as good. Too bad because in general, love logitech products.

i love that these can be connected via usb without any additional plug. they are portable, produce nice sound- pretty powerful considering their size, and the bass isn't bad at all. a big upgrade from my tinny laptop speakers. Stylish too.

My mom LOVE this, they're not too loud, they're just perfect enough to hear, if you're looking to blast your house down this aren't for you, but for a perfect enough sound, i'd recommed this.

I'll cut to the chase: one star off because of the short cord length between the speakers (I estimate it around 2 feet). This length does not allow you to put the speakers around a two monitor setup. I wish it were a foot longer or used a mini-jack so I could use an extension to get more separation.As for the sound, it is pretty good for the price. Unfortunately, the speakers do not produced a very full bodied sound, so they lack a good sound stage (this is probably also affected by the inability to get the speakers very far apart), so another star off. I will admit that I'm using them as replacements for my Audio Engine A2s (absolutely stellar speakers) at my work desk because I wanted to take those home. So, I have to remind myself that I am not reviewing $200 desk speakers. Nevertheless, these will be placeholders until I can budget better replacements.

A decent pair of speakers with good sound quality (at reasonable volumes) for a low price.-1 star for length of cord. Speakers cant be placed more than ~2ft apart so they are almost completely blocked by my monitor, and need extension cables to move them elsewhere or higher on my desk due to the short USB/audio cable to the desktop.-1 star for very low quality at higher volumes. They work well for me when I'm sitting right at my desk, but will not be able to fill a room with sound.

While you can't expect much from a sub-$20 set of mini-speakers, these speakers become heavily distorted after cranking it past mid volume while using integrated laptop sound. There is virtually no bass response to speak of and many of the details get lost due to this.Definitely not a worthy purchase if you want small speakers with at least acceptable sound. I have not tried anything else of this size so I cannot comment of this comparison to similar sized speakers (which is also why I refrained from giving this a 2 star).In terms of construction, they are solid and nice to look at when the wires are managed correctly.

I am not much into bass or playing my music crazy loud and these speakers work perfect for me. They plug right into my laptop and have enough sound for when I plug my laptop into my TV thru VGA and watch movies.

Length:: 0:20 MinsWow is what I have to say. The sound of this speakers is magnificent. I bought them for my Desktop which as you can know do not have speakers so yeah I had to buy them separate. I recommend this speakers to all! You won't be disappointed.

I paid 15 bucks for them so it was worth it because my laptop is not loud enough. It is annoying that they emit a buzzing sound when on and not in use. I typically turn them off if I don't need sound because the buzzing annoys me. Its a minor hassle to have to turn them on and off but not a huge deal. The sound is good when listening to music or watching shows or movies. They were worth the price for sure but I would't pay much more for them.

These speakers are cute, compact and cheap. The sound quality is decent, especially for the price. But I am returning them because they are simply not loud enough. The sound becomes highly distorted if you turn them up past about halfway on the dial. Under normal circumstances, you probably wouldn't need to turn it up that high - say if you are just sitting at your desk listening to music, which is probably what these speakers are designed for. But if you want to move a bit away from your computer and still hear the sound, or if you have other noise competing with the sound from your computer, you can't turn the volume on these speakers up high enough to hear them without major distortion.

I did not like these speakers. The cord from the speakers to the computer is superrrrr long, but the wire between the speakers is really short-I could almost NOT get the speakers around my laptop!! The volume was ok. I would not buy these again...

I've had these attached to my mac mini in my bedroom for a few months now. They are oustanding and I would recommend them to anyone. The sound quality is far superior to what I expected (you're not going to replace your $250 high performance speakers with these; but, you will be amply happy).For the size and price, this is just an outstanding pair of speakers.

I found this ones at ROSS for just $12 (there were other no-brand ones for $10) but since I like Logitech I went with this ones.They are working great they do take 1 usb for power.If I could change anything I would add a 3.5mm audio jack on the front of one of the 2 speakers so I could plug my headphones from time to time otherwise they are very good cheap speakers.

These are perfect to place on top of my In-Win K-1 mini ITX build. Have quite good sound quality. Would buy/recommend again. Also, as they are compact speakers. Do not expect them to be as good as larger more complex speakers.
