The camera and microphone work instantly with any computer and display great images as well as quality sound. The autofocus does not work perfectly, but you don't have to adjust it by hand. Overall great product for the price.

there is a big difference in using this camera as opposed to the one built in my laptop. the picture is much brighter and clearer!

The C525 is about half the size of my previous Logitech, and it does capture pictures and video nicely. However, I was a little less than pleased with the way it sat on the top of my Apple 30" Cinema Display; this is really designed for monitors of much less depth and the best I could do was just to get it to kind of sit unsecured on the top. Compare this with the huge clamp on the old Logitech and the shortcomings are pretty obvious. This is part of the price you pay for such a compact device.Another issue I encountered which many of you may not, is that the cord was too short to reach my USB-clogged tower. This can be remedied with an extender or a USB hub, but just though you should know that if the camera is any more than about 3 1/2 feet from the port you could have some issues. Having said that, I think this is a great choice for people with laptops and/or travel a lot.

Great webcam for the price. Crystal clear picture and very nice folding compact design that protects lense when folded up. logitech make the best pc peripherals and this product is no exception! Great price from Amazon as well. Dont bother installing the logitech software from the CD though. Just download the drivers from the logitech website and give the camera software a miss. It adds nothing apart from some corny effects. One thing to note, if you have WD smartware installed you will need to use both the latest logitech camera drivers and WD smartware drivers, otherwise attempting to install the logitech software or drivers will cause errors and a computer BSOD and reboot.

This is my first webcam and I am satisfied with it. I pulled it out of the box, inserted the CD, and it led me through how to load it. Really, it was done once I plugged in the USB. It was that easy to set up. I have Windows Vista and my computer is about 5 years old.Takes great shots, video and clear real time feed.Motion detector that you can set to record if it detects motion. It is sensitive enough to be activated even if you blink your eyelids.Autofocus makes the picture clear constantly.It rotates 360 degrees, which is great that you don't have to move your monitor to find the image.Fun little effect features to play with.You can Skype with it and/or it comes with its own communication software.Folds up easily so you can take it with you and your laptop.So far, I have had no issues with this camera. It takes clear shots and records video with clarity. It has lived up to what it has promised.

The video quality is pretty good, the shape and the 360 rotation is pretty usefull. I kinda had troubles to install the logitech software, but I think its just an individual problem. The setup of the camera is fast and you don't need the logitech software at all.

I purchased the webcam for my sister. I already have one, last year's model. She lives across the country from me. We thought it would be fun to see and talk with eachother over the holidays. The install was easy and we have skyped several times. The picture is very clear and several people can talk at once and you can hear all of them. Great fun!

I like the camera as a unit, but software compatibility could be much much better. I don't own any Apple products so I'm not worried about Logitech not supporting it, but I didn't know they don't support Windows Server OS family either. I have it installed on Server 2008, luckily windows driver works and I can operate it, but I can't use all the features of the logitech software. Come on Logitech , really ? One OS webcam? Next time I'll buy different brand.3 stars would be more appropriate I guess.

This camera was purchased for my son who is into making videos to post on youtube. He has been able to post several HD videos so far and they have turned out very well. The software included is not the best but it easily works with other software on the market.

Bought this camera for my 86 year old mother who is quite computer savy. Now she can Skype with us and also her great grandchildren. A wonderful Christmas present that she loved. Simple to use and was easy to install and get working right out of the box.

I got this to replace an outdated Logitech webcam. It fits on my monitor top, and aims wherever I want it to point. Good quality video and stills. The mic pics up my voice without adding the TV audio.

Length:: 5:16 MinsThe logitech HD webcam c525 is a great quality webcam at a very affordable price. I have enjoyed using it, learning the different features, and playing around with options. The webcam is very easy to use, plug it in, hang the camera on your Monitor and have fun! Highly recommended.*edited to add, I've been having a lot of fun with my webcam, making videos and spamming friends and family:) The controls are easy to use and adjust. We actually did send my mom the other camera, and my son walked her through it. I was right, it was so easy even she could use it! We are now on Skype and the quality for what we want, being able to talk "face to face" is great.Any out of focus issues are mine, later video shot with the webcam are much better but I wanted to do my first impression video, warts and all, to give a good sample of someone totally non-tech using and enjoying the webcam.

It took a few tries to figure out which of several icons would begin the install process. Once that was done, however, install was quick and painless.The camera itself worked well; the software was generally very clear when used for video calls, although the HD occasionally froze for a brief moment. It was high configurable for any laptop or desktop.All in all, a solid HD video camera.

I use this web cam instead of the one installed on my laptop. The quality is stellar, the images that it captures are even better than my digital camera and smartphone. I got two of them and gave one to my sister so now we can chit-chat over the web cam. We have both taken some funny pictures with it. The cams were easy to set up and everything that you needed was in the box. It's pretty amazing how far web cam quality has come over the years, and these cams were simply a delight to use. There are even better ones with higher quality from Logitech, but these ones work when I want to Skype with friends overseas or my sister.Great product...really impressed. I almost never use my webcam, but I will be using this one more often now!

The Logitech C525 webcam is ridiculously easy to install, and it works impressively well for something that's pretty inexpensive and doesn't have (or need) the top-of-the-line bells and whistles that are unnecessary for basic use. The picture is clear, the sound and mic are good, the webcam controller is easy to use -- no complaints. I use it with Skype, and the coordination seems excellent. I strongly recommend it -- I've already bought three more and have promised to install them for relatives.

This webcam is awesome, first off the picture quality is nuts, it's so sharp! I've never had a webcam that I was happy with from a-z.The next cool feature is the follow my face feature, this is almost like having your very own camera man.This is a 5 star product.

The logitech is a very good little tool for seeing our friends and family. It works just fine you need to have a light on in a darker room but other then that it is great.

I bought this webcam based on the reviews for ease of use and value for the money and I have to say I was not disappointed. Setting up was simple (and I'm the kind that doesn't like to read through instructions) as was actually using it for video and conference calls on Skype. I would (and have!)recommend this webcam if you need something to get the job done well but aren't looking for something expensive or fancy.

Beware of a loss of features between this model and the c510, which it is replacing. If you don't believe me, you can go to the Logitech website and do a comparison between the c510 webcam and the c525.I also own a c510, and Logitech seems to now have gone back on the "features" the c510 was capable of. They used to say the c510 was SkypeHD compatible, but apparently, it's now not. My box says the c510 is. So I'd be a little bit concerned about purchasing a Logitech camera when they can't even seem to be sure what the working specs are of their cameras.So now we have this c525, which is quietly replacing the c510. I'm really disgusted that my c510 has never been Skype HD compatible, despite their claims (and me having more than a fast enough connection between the two computers).
