I had had the logitech 510 and been quite satisfied, but I needed an additional one for my office and so I bought this one, assuming it would be an improvement.I was devastated when my business computer crashed completely after installing this webcam. I then, foolishly thinking I was using the old one at home, used the 525 and that computer nearly completely crashed also. Very scary. I have returned the 525 to Amazon. Be very careful. I am now wary of using any logitech product.

Brother & sister off to school so this was a necessity. Webcam is trasmitted very clear as far resoulution and fluid in video reception.

The auto features that follow the subject should it move, is really nice. The camera keeps you centered in the frame even zooms in and out should you move closer or farther. Picture quality on the receiving end is also very clear.Easy setup and edit. I haven't used all the features, but have used enough to be very satisfied with the purchase.

I've had my work laptop for about 6 months and didn't notice the lack of a microphone since I hadn't left North America. I was able to use my Android phone for my communication needs while traveling. I recently needed to go to Europe, so I wanted to be able to use Skype to call back to the US. I considered just getting a headset, but I was intrigued by the portability of the Logitech HD Webcam C525. (This was especially true since I trash 1 to 2 headsets a year when I travel with them).So instead of a headset, I purchased the Webcam C525. I've used it for both voice calls and video calls, and it has worked great. I was even able to give a virtual tour of my house. The C525 folds up very nicely and seems to travel very well.I can't speak for long-term durability, but so far the Webcam C525 looks like the perfect solution for my Skype usage.

NO shipment damage, easy enough to install, worked the first time. It is my first webcam. I really like the physical adjustment capability of this webcam. Very pleased with this product.

It works 100% for what I need. Image quality is ok and sound/mic too. Perfect if you are abroad and what to connect with family and friends back home. And the price is good too!

I don't do anything fancy, just Skype. Not using any of the supplied software. Plugged it into a new Mac Mini and it worked fine. Seems to autofocus well. I was especially concerned to get good microphone quality and the noise cancelling mic on this unit works well. Not the very cheapest webcam but works better than another brand that I tried, which had terrible mic quality. Swivels easily on 2 axes. I use a bit of "museum putty" to keep the webcam in place on top of a large monitor.

This is the best webcam I have used. I have had low and high end devices from Logitech and Microsoft and the Logitech C525 at this point in time is one of the best webcams at a great price.

The Logitech HD C525 webcam provides clear, sharp & stable auto-focus images, with built-in microphone, and excellent sound quality (and I'm hard of hearing) with a thumb-wheel volume control. At Amazon's price of $40, it's a best value for the quality provided. I've used mine on both Skype and Windows Live Messenger, Pc-to-PC and PC-to-XBox, with excellent results. It's very easy to install and get up and running in a few minutes. And, it's portable so that you can focus the webcam on your PC or TV screen for others to view as well (great for trouble-shooting PC hardware and software problems with a techie).Highly recommended (I even bought one for my ex-wife --- you can't get a better recommendation than that).

After borrowing a friends Logitech C510, I decided to buy the C525 since it came with the auto-focus feature. However, I was extremely disappointed upon finding that when not using the auto-focus feature, the C525 has much worse image quality than the C510, i.e. the image appears fuzzy and out of focus. 'Focusing' in simply makes the image even fuzzier. Since I don't plan on using the auto-focus feature much anyway, I'd just as soon buy the C510. Logitech made this model with more features but with worse quality than the C510 predecessor.

Although most Apple machines come with wecams, users of the Mac Mini or Mac Pro are out of luck. It's difficult to find Mac compatible webcams: a lot of consumer cams work, but usually there's no mention of it on the packaging. Well, these work fine. You don't even need drivers.There's no software in the box for the Mac, but since the software is the same for all cams in this series, just use the software from another model.The downside is the lack of controls for adjusting the picture. Apple's built-in cams do a good job of optimising the image, so hey didn't write any software, and the Logitech software for OS X doesn't do anything either. I used the cam in a Windows PC and here were extensive controls available.Picture quality is good, and way better than the average built-in camera on a sub $1000 laptop. Video is pretty good but lacks enough controls to be useful for more than Skype. The detail levels are high enough the average Skype connection can't keep up.A worthy cam for those who need one.

I purchased this to use with Skype on an older Windows laptop. Setup was simple but not quite intuitive. What I mean is it actually worked better for me when the included software was not installed. Might be a quirk with Skype, or with my old computer, who knows. It works great now. I've been told by my family in Brasil and France that the video looks and sounds good on their end.If you're looking for a decent and reasonably priced camera that's not junk or too much for your needs, then look no further.

When looking for a webcam to replace my previous monitor's integrated webcam I wanted something that was around the middle of the pack as far as price goes. The Logitech C525 definitely delivers in these regards.PROS+ Great image quality+ Great sound quality+ Stylish design+ Rotation and tilt adjustments+ Auto-focus! (works really well)+ Works well in low-lighting conditions+ Feels to be of solid constructionCONS- Excessive software suite- Doesn't "clamp" super-well to the monitor but I don't feel like it would fall off without a good shoveOverall, I would definitely recommend this webcam at the price point and probably above some of its more expensive siblings.

Bought this for my parents so they could see their grandson on a regular basis. They said it was super easy to set up and use, and they aren't the most technologically savvy people. I am going to buy one for my smart tv.

Purchased this for Google Plus Hangouts (audio + video) but the mic also works great for making and receiving phone calls via Gmail.Can't say anything about the Logitech software as I'm a Linux user and Logitech doesn't supply their own proprietary software for that platform. However, it does just work out of the box on virtually any modern Linux distro.

You will not be dissapointed. This is my first webcam and the software installation was so clear cut and straight forward. The packaging was secure and the webcam is so flexible. You can rotate it!!! Vid quality is exceptional, HD is amazing when used on the software program that Logitech provides. Skype works second best, Oovoo is alright, and AIM has poor vid quality. The speaker mic is great because my laptop doesnt have one and i have always wanted this feature to record songs and such. All you have to do is slip the usb into your drive and you can start webcamming, its that simple! And nothing beats this price for $29.99, ive seen it sold for double the price on my campus.

Could not be more pleased. Easy installation. Skype works great. So far person on the other side says sound and picture is very good. Impressed with auto focus as well as how the camera follows my movements. I highly recommend this webcam. The price is right as has more than basic features.

Never had a webcam before and a novice with the computer. Saw very good reviews for this one and found it at a good price. Received it fast and was very please to find that it was very easy to set up and to use. Have been very happy using it to see my new granddaughter in California.

Logitech products are generally good and there is no exception with this webcam. It was easy to set up and it's awesome!! Very clear picture and nice features. The sound quality is excellent too. I use webcam primarily to Skype and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and easy operation.

I am a big FAN of this particular model of Logitech HD Webcam. We purchased about 12 of these for doing web meetings. The microphones are great, which also includes noise cancelling. The picture quality is very good, though in all fairness it does depend on ones internet connection. Overall, I highly recommend this web cam. We likely going to buy several more of them before they get discontinued in favor of a new model.

Let me start by saying that this webcam is great. It provides a decent resolution with auto-focus and allows "fun" aftereffects to be applied to the video.I use this mostly for Skype/Google chat, so it's more than adequate in this regard (although a norm $20 webcam would have worked as well.)The microphone quality is actually very good, though it lacks 2 microphone input for hardware noise-canceling, so it picks up computer fan and my stand fan in the background.If you need a wide functional webcam with some frills and don't mind spending $50, this is the web cam for you. If this ever drops to ~$25-35 on sale, then it'll be the web cam for anyone.This thing is very portable btw, when it folds up, it's about 4 inches by 2 inches by 1.5 inches. So about the size of 2 packs of Trident gum. The 6' wire is adequate to reach my tower on the floor to on top of my monitor.It fits by using silicone/rubber on each fold to sit on top of your monitor and uses friction to prevent it from moving.

I bought the Logitech HD Webcam C525 for teleconferencing through Skype. I have thoroughly tested it and here are my observations.Pros:* Excellent high-definition image transmissions.* Clever and practical mounting stand- protective case combination.* Integrates seamlessly into Skype.* Very effective auto-focus and "follow-my-face" technology.* Reasonable price.Cons:* Requires consistent, fast broadband Internet connection for constant HD video transmission. (Not a real problem, just something you should know before you buy it.)Comments: This is an excellent Webcam for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it.
